No you're not. It's a totally passive perk subject to rng, it's only good for people who can't build momentum on their own (in fact most of the time when it is cleansed gens start to pop left and right) and works best against bad/average survivors.
When I want to stop gens I use PGTW since before the buff, and is imo way superior: no rng, depends only on the ability of the killer to put pressure and can screw up survivors towards the endgame.
Tanatophobia is also underrated. With the no-heal/adrenaline meta, the perk can buy quite some time, especially on killers like Plague or Legion who can easily injure many survivors.

I'm kinda angry we got shirtless Trapper and nobody seemed to notice
-
You can hear them when you are in Madness 3, were you playing against a Doctor?
-
You should play smarter, really.
-
They talked about the chainsaw bros too. Leatherface might needs a bit more work so it makes sense that Nurse and Doc come first
-
I love this forum
-
Damn I thought you were gonna ask for a total rework.
Anyway that would be a bit extreme since unlike Freddy the Wraith doesn't have a heartbeat while cloaked so even the worst player could take people by surprise. I think making him totally invisible beyond 32-40 meters would already be a nice buff.
-
Basically instead of making the survivor weaker like before, sleep makes Freddy stronger. So unless you want a Freddy who can teleport around often and end chases quickly it's best to be awake.
-
If you remove loops you basically remove chases. If you remove chases all you're left with is immersed Claudettes hiding in bushes while the killer roams around aimlessy. I don't know if you have ever played this situation, but it's boring as hell.
Chases are the main thing in this game and loops are vital to make chases engaging, unless you really have fun going in straight lines and eventually catching up. So get over it and git gud.
-
That would be really nice. I always loved that music.
-
I disagree, old sabotage was extremely powerful in the right hands (especially SWF) and pushed killers to adopt a specific meta (Iron Grasp+Agitation) to be able to do something.
This would be the same all over again: bring anti-sabotage perks/addons or get rekt.
I agree that sabotage is underwhelming right now, but imo it should be reworked from scrap to make it desirable for survivors but not a mess for killers.

There's the chance the costume will appear more rotten and less funny-looking than the original drawing. In any case I think a cute costume loved by kids hiding a brutal serial killer is kinda disturbing, and is in line with the Clown's lore.
-
Why an I seeing more posts of this kind than actual complaints about Freddy? You guys need to seriously calm down.
-
If Freddy uses the pallet addon and you realize it you can rely less on pallets and more on window jukes. Not exactly a counter, but can help.
-
Personally I don't like them, since usually they subtly force you to adopt a pace that's not yours, with the risk of missing something you liked because you couldn't keep up or getting everything and getting burned out. It's kinda like being constantly in a special timed event and I feel most battlepasses are aimed to kids with tons of spare time.
This forced change of pace makes a game less enjoyable for me, and I already dropped a couple games because of this. What I love about DbD is that I can play it at my own pace, so I hope if DbD will go that way they won't do the same as other games and actually think about everyone.
-
Personally I would change two things:
- a visual and/or audio cue when she uses her power. Standing still in front of a pallet is fun the first times, but it gets boring soon since there is no interaction and basically everything the survivor can do will lead to a hit.
- remove collision when using Prayer Beads. Gen grabs with this addon are done mainly thanks to collision. If this allows to sick plays as @vampire_toothy said it might be worth to make the addon UR
-
The only thing I would change about HB is to make the chainsaw hitbox narrower because currently even a mokey can use it, but aside from that he's kinda fine.

Clown has the Chapel map.
Leatherface has the Thompson House map right?
So Ghostface is the only one without a map I think..
Leatherface's map is the Grim Pantry.

Darker? No. Foggier? Yes.

The point of the event was to get the cosmetics for free. Doesn't seem something to complain about.
Also, aren't you a bit late? The Moonrise event was months ago.

The idea of gas cans is floating around since years, but I like your implementation.

While it puts a spin on it, its still just holding more M1.
To be fair, most games consist on holding a button and occasionally press other buttons.

Personally I think the Green Mori is perfect as it is and the Yellow Mori is kinda useless.
The Ebony Mori is instead an unbalanced mess which I never use because it makes it really too easy. I could use the mori only after the 2nd hook, but at that point I'd rather use Devour Hope, which you have to earn and gives a nice feel just for that (plus, it's counterable).
Do away with it altogether and make the current Green single use Mori an Ultra Rare and change the old Yellow Mori to a Purple Very Rare mori that allows a single Mori after the gens are powered regardless of any hooks
Personally I like this suggestion.

As a solo survivor the killer is not your only enemy.
-
If a survivor plays flawlessy and the killer not, why should he be punished?
In any case, in a team of 4 there is always a weaker link. Being skilled as killer include campitalyzing on that. If you just mindlessy chase the god-like looper you're making a huge mistake and don't deserve the kill to be handed to you.
-
That's the magic of the internet. People don't realize they are interacting with other real people and think their anonymity makes them immune to consequences. They don't know you so don't think their attacks as personal, consider them some primitive chimps that haven't developed empathy yet using a technology they don't understand nor deserve. It might seems a bit harsh, but those wishing death to others over a videogame deserve the worst, and it helps not taking them seriously. Bonus points if you learn to laugh at them.

The flashlight forces the Killer to look away, so you wouldn't. It's still valid for juking while running, and that's how it should be used.
The main issue is that unavoidable flashlight stuns:
A) Reward toxicity with free BP, and
B) Punish less skilled Killers for something more or less out of their hands
Even though higher-level players lose ground when cashing in their free blinds, the mere fact that it's common behaviour among toxic players illustrates an issue with them.
I wouldn't what? I don't understand what you try to say in the first part.

I dont think its suitable for killer, cause its way too powerful. But then, disable it for SWF. Why? Cause they have all of these info, even without voice comms.
If they already have that info, what's the point of disabling it for them?
-
The Nurse has been hated since the beginning, it's just that most of the time the community is distracted by something else but every once in a while the focus returns on her.
-
Personally I don't think a counter perk is necessary, but I think it would be nice if killers were notified when their aura is exposed.
-
Aside from his idea of increasing gen times (which would have the main effect of increasing survivor's boredom), I agree with all his suggestions.
-
Try to get to a fence irl and stretch your arm over it. Can you do it? If the answer is yes, imagine there is a person there. Would you be able to hit them? If the answer is yes you'll realize how ridicuouls this thread is.
-
Personally I would hate it.
-
It's not impossible (even against the Hillbilly, even though you need a lot of luck vs him), you need to be smart and choose the right moment to open the gate. A little trick is to open the gate a bit (not more than 25%) and then hide, so the red light won't turn on and the killer will think you're not there, then you can resume opening the gate and you'll have to be exposed for less time.
-
Personally I don't see where is the problem. If a survivor stops just to blind you they are losing ground and they are wasting flashlight charges that could be used for saves. The flashlight runs out of charges eventually.
Also, while it might be used by toxic survivors, it's a nice tool for stealthy ones. I myself used the blind during a stun to juke the killer and make them lose me. It would be a pity to remove this possibility.

Starting with all his traps wouldn't change what the traps do so I don't think it would be overpowered. What it would help with is the early game in allowing him to have map pressure sooner.
How about if he starts a game with all his traps but after placing them all he can only hold one at a time without add ons?
Yeah that would be a nice change that would impact only the early game (where he struggles the most)
-
Jake looks like an homeless man.
Well, maybe because he is.
-
Adding more perk slots would be like opening the Pandora Box: broken combos, unexpected interactions, bugs and so on and so forth
-
Nobody is forced to unhook you, people save eachother because teammates increase the chances to survive (and for points) not because they're obliged, but in that case saving you increased his chances to die. He just made a choice you don't like.
-
we need the devs fired
No you need to step off that pedestal and stop thinking you know better than everyone else. Rank 1 or not, this post makes me think you are in dire need of gitting gud.
-
Totally agree. Ruin is entirely passive and totally dependant on the survivors, thus it's good if they are bad. PGTW is instead an active perk and depends on the killer, it wins hands down over Ruin.
@purebalance7 said:
I'm still confused because people keep saying conflicting things about it:
Is it a flat % of the 100% or is it a percent of the percent completed? So basically is kicking a gen that is 50% complete sending it back to 25% or to 38 ish(75% of 50)
It is a flat 25%. You can see it on a gen repaired at 25%, after kicking it it will shut down completely.
-
Personally I think she is ok, there is only one thing I would change: add a sound cue with very limited range (2-3 meters) when she uses her power. This because standing still at a pallet just to have the survivor jump into your arms is fun the first times, but it gets boring soon. In that case there is very little gameplay going on and the survivor can just hope the killer sucks.
-
Survivors are getting a very unneeded BP buff for no reason, they just have to go in naked to be good (looking at you depip squad) so long as you understand the basic fundamentals of the game
How do you know if you never played survivor?
-
Just for the sake of consistency, wouldn't it have been better to test it with the same killer? You never know if different powers activate/deactivate in slightly different moments.
-
You're not forced to use Ruin, there are other perks to slow down gens. Pop Goes The Weasle for example is an amazing perk for that.
Honestly I think people who always use Ruin and complain about it are just lazy.
-
It's not impossible, you just need to open the gate when you know it's safe: you have two minutes, don't rush and think it through.
An useful trick btw is to open the gate to no more than 24%, waiting for the killer to check the gate and after he's gone to fully open it. This because at 25% the first light turns on, notifying the killer of your presence, so you must stop right before this. After that you only need to expose yourself for 15 seconds instead of 20 to fully open the gate, making it really hard for the killer to catch up in time.
-
You know that you're not forced to spend points on the character you earned them with, right? And you know on the other side of the screen there is not an actual Dwight or Meg, but a real person that might play both roles?
Also, most survivor items/addons suck.
-
This community never ceases to amaze me, really.
Can you guys stop considering the other side as the enemy? It's a freaking game where you can play both, the change will affect positively everyone, you included. Leave the us vs them mentality to matches.
Also, why devs' stats are always skewed and wrong except when they validate your point? That's very hypocritical and quite cringey.

If you're interested there's an asymmetrical game kinda like DbD but with sharks (https://store.steampowered.com/app/274940/Depth/)

I would love some qol changes to his shock attacks, like a little more range and movement speed (of the shock, not the killer) and faster stance switching, but otherwise I think he is ok.
