Some maps were problematic because of Balanced Landing, reworking tons of maps just in fuction of one perk would've been stupid.
Also, Dead Hard has always been widely used. People like to choose when to activate their exhaustion perk.
-
First, the perks are broken.
Second, we already went through this. A little search will show you not many like sexuality being included in a game which has nothing to do with that.
-
Legion is definetly not useless, but he needs some strategic thinking to use the power at its best, even in the perks of choices which should sinergize with Feral Frenzy.
On an additional note, as someone who played against Legion after the changes I'd say that mend has been buffed. It's shorter, sure, but while before you could chill in the terror radius and do gens, totems etc now you are really pressured to run or mend.
-
A problem in those maps also is the colour of terrain, which often have reddish spots easy to mistake for blood. Not counting the amount of high vegetation that makes keeping sight of survivors really hard.
-
us true killer mains who know killer is the power role should just quit for 30 months
You true mains should stop "maining" and start play both sides to have a less biased point of view.
-
First, unless that was the last generator it was a bad play since you risked loosing many generators in the mean time. Even if that was the last gen, camping it is risky too. It would be better to include the hook in the patrol route, especially if gens are near, to give pressure.
Second, you don't have to let them escape, but remember that you're playing with other human beings. Instead of killing them right off the bat and ruining their game experience for good, slug them and go for the saver. You give someone another chance and at the same time you pressure many survivors at once.
-
People would quickly adapt and learn to hit skillchecks anyway, especially experienced players (who I guess are your main target). Personally I don't think HL makes skillchecks harder, only a bit more fun, and I'm not the best "skillchecker" around.
-
Survivor: Steve. No perk of him is vaguely interesting or useful imo.
Killer: The Plague. I don't like much playing both as and against, since she basically removes stealth and altruism from the equation making matches dull and repetitive. Her perks are nice though so I'm a bit conflicted.
-
If we're talking about experienced players the Doctor is stronger, since the shock therapy attack when used right is useful against looping even against injured survivors (but has a high skillceiling).
-
-
One word: hitboxes.

Thing is fire crackers are really strong..having them base game may be a tad much
How are they strong? They're single use and very easy to dodge, not counting they can blind survivors too.
-
The Hag. Her matches can be described in two words: crouching and camping.
-
Matchmaking is currently ######### for both killers and survivors (since it's easy to get matched to rank 15 teams and killers even if you'r rank 5)
-
I'd like some kind of mechanic involving the fire barrels, maybe tied to a fire-based killer.
-
I almost made it while playing casually since I managed to slug all 4 survivors (they where playing very cocky but very badly), but a Meg kept running to the corner of the map furthest from the basement once she understood I was trying to get the challenge, just to spite me, and obviously mocked me in the chat.
These challenges really show how bad this community can be.
-
It wouldn't make him OP per se, but it would be easy for the killer to find that guy that doesn't even try to not feed him, and tier up very fast. Which at base could be very frustrating for the other survivors, but with some addons could be borderline broken.
Maybe instead of removing the cap, make that a survivor's personal stalk meter goes slowly down over time, so they could be stalked back later.
-
Personally I think they only need QoL changes at this point.

I have been saying it for a long time now. Missed Frenzy hits should have no penalty whatsoever. This penalty would gave made sense with old Legion, where their power would down you. But now? Frenzy doesnt down you at all. Survivors can mend extremely fast. There should be no such hard penalty for such a non-lethal attack.
And the issue with those hits granting you extra distance? Just remove the lunge and make it a T1 Myers lunge.
I agree, with the old Legion it made sense, but now not anymore.
If anything, reduce or remove the cooldown reduction on missed attacks, but don't let them deplete the power.
-
I wouldn't prestige anyone. It wasn't worth the amount of bloodpoints spent and now I feel the need to prestige every new killer because having just one not P3 would annoy me.
-
Iron Will, Bond and Kindred, plus a perk of choice (preferably Lithe or Balanced Landing), is imo the best solo build.
-
The Plague. I like using powers, but with her you often are just an m1 killer with everyone constantly injured. Little use of her power plus less chases makes her boring to play.
-
I feel like everyone is forgetting the most important thing: he's gonna get his own chase music!
-
I disagree, that feature, especially now that you fall making no noise, makes BL fantastic for stealth plays.
-
Well I think all could be said about the Spirit was said, included the fact that the changes didn't address people's concern about that killer. After a while I guess people get bored of discussing always the same things.
-
I'm of the idea that the addon should have a range requirement.

Genrush was and has been a thing since the start of the game, the difference being survivors were new, and bad, infinites existed meaning they could "play" with the killer easier so why rush gens?
a secondary objective should be detrimental to survivors, old sabo was heavily detrimental to the killer to the point where they literally could not win.
Gen rush was not a thing because survivors were stronger and didn't feel the need to escape asap. Saying they were new and bad doesn't make sense unless you refer to the first few months of the game.
And btw old sabo was detrimental for survivors too, since then killers adapted with basement build and a lot of 4k were due to that. My point is that old sabo was good as a secondary objective (meaning it gave a reason to survivors to not repair gens), not that it was good per se.
-
A chest and a totem both in the basement? Jackpot!
-
As far as I'm concerned, you can't complain if you use Ruin without a plan to defend it and it gets cleansed early. And if it's up all the match, it's up to the survivors, push through or learn better the totem spawns.
So no, Ruin is ok.

Then why the inconsistency? Every survivor perk shows percentages, meanwhile the add-on's and killer perks get the short end of the stick and are stuck with a horrible vague mess
That's actually a good question.
-
I kinda agree because I like to calculate stuff, but remember that most people don't know how percentages work and don't realize the difference between basic concepts like time and speed. Just think of all the people that thought making Enduring going from "increasing recovering speed by 75%" to "reduce stun time by 50%" was a nerf. The vagueness is useful to avoid creating confusion in such people.
-
Besides all the balance problems this would cause, you do realize no one wants to look directly into the engine of a generator for minutes?
-
Getting butthurt about sabotage in (almost) 2020 *facepalm*
Jokes aside, everyone asks for a secondary objective while there is already one which was nerfed into the ground and is almost guaranteed to put a huge bullseye on you. As bad as sabo was in the old days, nobody complained about "gen rushing" at the time because survivors actually had a secondary objective.
Personally I wish for a rework of sabotage to make it more fair for both sides.

Last Year is more of an action game, the map is designed around the fact that people can jump around and fight. Anyway the ambience is always the same, is everyone ignoring the fact that in DbD there are 14 realms and most of them have different variations? If you say the Disturbed Ward looks and plays the same as Gas Heaven I don't believe you. Sure the basic loop tiles are the same, but the strategies about which loop to use and which gen to repair are different for each map, and the main building of a map usually has a key role in this.
I don't want to white-knight DbD, I like the map design of LY, but they are different games and people tend to throw ######### on DbD just for the sake of it.

i only gave one example, doesn't mean it's failed only once. Has anyone ever snuck up on a survivor as Demogorgon - even though he has this 'stealth' status? Undetectable doesn't work on him, it's quite obvious.
I did, and without addons. Generators can be really loud when they're progressed.
-
The fact it didn't work once doesn't mean it has no purpose.
-
You know what would happen? That everyone would cry the killer is not strong enough on launch without practicing enough to understand how to use it.

Bullshit.
So long as you are not acting like a clown, they generally do listen. They took this guys feedback right to the team directly: https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/110693/a-couple-of-qol-improvements-that-would-make-legion-a-lot-better-devs-please-read#latest
because he was rational; collected, thought about what he was saying.
I've seen them respond to numerous Legion threads, say EXACTLY what the reasons were.
As for the AMA we know they can't answer every one of them but I bet they answer all the main ones, I bet they talk about Legion, about Oni, about all of the major topics; because they HAVE to pick the most important ones they can't answer everything.
Thank you.
Constructive criticism is what devs focus on because, guess what, it is constructive. Destructive feedback is useful only to let other people you're upset.
-
Unfortunately newer killer tend to camp because it seems the natural thing to do and low rank survivors tend to feed them.
I suggest you to use Kindred, it's an amazing perk and it just got buffed. As a solo survivor it's insanely useful.
-
Since there is a mini-beartrap, it seems obvious we should get a mini-wailing bell and a mini-chainsaw.
-
Balanced Landing is better than before imo. The usefullness of falling with no sound is way more than being able to brainlessy loop in a couple maps.
-
I still find it quite useless unless used with a key, but it's still better than before.
-
They do, they are called perks. MYC, Haunted Grounds, Devour Hope just to name some.
-
So now a really skilled players who refuse to use loops and instead trying to lose killer in chase have even less options to play with...
Sorry to break this for you, putting on some dark clothes to blend doesn't take skill, if you're really skilled you don't need that to be good at stealth.
-
If most people are healthy it could actually be a good idea to force them out of their power, since you deny FF main point which is hitting as many survivors as possibile.

Has any of the developers ever confirmed that they developed a special language or script for the Entity?
Because knowing the lazy, and slow altitude of Behaviour, I can very well imagine that all of this is just nonsese glibberish, with no meaningful thought process at all.
I remember someone saying it had a meaning and was translatable
-
If by AoE you mean the ability to hit multiple survivors, I did it yesterday so it's still there.
-
Not to be that guy, but maybe if it was more contructive than "Legion got gutted, I'm sad", which is all I saw so far, the feeback would be more worthwhile of attention.
In the mean time I played Legion all evening yesterday and I found him way better.
