I am sure I am not the only survivor who has died just because I had to go around the entire map just to not have enough time to take the reverse bear trap off my head. It has happened one too many times for me to give this feedback.
That's the whole point of the RBTs...
-
I think her basekit is fine, but her addons are really lackluster.
-
It depends a lot on the situation and the map. Against a Trapper or Leatherface it could be worth it to "waste" it to avoid being hooked in the basement and let them snowball like crazy in the early game.
-
I disagree. Those are very niche scenarios that makes me think survivors knew exactly what they were doing, so they would just act differently in response to this additional mechanic.
Also changing mechanics to punish smart plays is dumb imo.
-
Not to be that guy, but the fact he is so dedicated to the Nurse makes him quite biased and it shows.
-
I agree, it's time to stop... to act so childishly and constantly play the victim.
-
I think most "low tier" killers are underrated, especially Wraith, Trapper and Doctor. They might be addon reliant, but they can put quite a fight against good survivors if played well.
The only one I might say is overrated is Freddy. From my experience he's a solid killer but not so strong as many seem to think.
-
2k is the average that can please everyone, since it means both sides have an equal amount of wins and losses. If it wasn't this way, too many wins would make the game too easy and boring, viceversa too many losses would make it too hard and frustrating. Both situations can induce people to stop playing the game.

You need to calm down and realize at the end of the day, it's just a video game.
You're not going to die.
Uhm... ok? I was just stating a fact.
Also it's a week old thread, why bringing this up again just to look cool?
-
If by rework we mean a total scrap of his power, I'd say Leatherface. He's basically a gutted Hillbilly with the niche addition of multi-hits which outside of camping has no real use. Even his addons are mostly a copy-paste from Billy so there's all the material for a full rework.
-
I think he's a bit over used in the horror genre.
-
Every killer I own is at P3, while for survivors I have Jake and Nea (my mains) at P3 and a couple at P1 (a remnant of the ol' times when I wasn't sure what prestiging did and who to main).
-
2 ) BBQ and Distortion with 3 ticks. NOT a good mix. - Killers will disagree on this one. ;)
A bit off-topic, but Distortion is more about having information rather than directly countering aura perks. You see it proc -> you guess what perk showed your aura and adapt your gameplay to avoid it happen again. Or it could be used as backup when you don't have to to do that.
-
I will really miss the Moonrise event and the lanterns.

They're fake items in a video game. They don't mean anything.
Also: The devs making something exclusive to award to exclusive item owners as recompense for eliminating item exclusivity... doesn't make any sense.
This. That's just a way to switch the exclusivity to other items.
In any case I, as many others, own some of the exclusive cosmetics thanks to giveaways, which at the time where very common. Nothing to do with supporting the game.
-
Onto the main exclusives, exclusives are more than just cosmetics for many people. They hold sentimental value, and a reminder of the old days when the community was much smaller and DBD felt like more of an indie game.
How other people being able to enjoy them changes this? They're not removing the cosmetics or your memories.

Im gonna press x to doubt on that.
Free to doubt but that's true. This time they didn't say anything about other possible changes, so there's no reason to act this way.
-
But... I am asking for feedback with this...
And I gave mine. If it wasn't clear it's "I agree but first let's see how these changes play out, first"
-
Kinda agree. Those changes are nice QoL changes, but they don't change what people despise about the Spirit, which is the total lack of feedback of her power, plus the fact that without Iron Will mindgames/jukes are almost impossible against a good Spirit.
Still, these are good changes and I would gladly see how she plays out with them alone before changing something else.
-
If the intention was to appear as a petty little kid... well congratulations.

By "grinding on events" I mean grinding on ingame events like Howling Grounds.
I thought you were misinterpreting the word event, my bad.
-
@SpyMature said:
I mean, what difference does it make between be EARNING it through grinding on events vs people who grinded bloodwebs? Absolutely none, they killed the hard earned event cosmetics, so why not kill Legacy as well?
Event in this case means conventions, not in-game special events. You didn't grind those cosmetics, you had to physically go there to receive a code. Some codes were also given during some giveaways, but it was just luck.
-
The worst thing about rank reset is teammates. If the killer is petty it can be somehow managed, but with the survivors you get paired with right after rank reset it's unbearable.
-
It was said that between trials each killer is hold in a "dimensional pocket". It could be that licensed killers, being from different universes, must be kept in special pockets inaccessible from someone from a different one.
-
I deeply hate it.
-
I think the current Shread is ok, it has a very strong sinergy with Safe The Best For Last since you can use it on the obsession to not lose stacks.
-
It's natural, considering that they are the free ones most people use.
-
Trapper. When I'm chased by him I see traps everywhere, so every window and pallet in a step into the unkown
-
Your best bet is to lower the resolution beyond the game's settings limit. You can do that by modifying the GameUserSettings.ini which you can find in User\AppData\Local\DeadByDaylight\Saved\Config\WindowsNoEditor. The setting you want to modify is ScreenResolution.
Also disabling Vsync helps.
-
Wraith. I just love being fast and sneaking on people. He's also the only one who can bing bong.
-
For double bloodpoints there's already WGLF, no need to overlap two perks from the same character.
What I'd like added to No Mither, instead of a static X% bonus, would be to have survival points constantly generated during the match, so you would be rewarded for being able to stay alive for long.

I honestly think The Entity by itself can be terrifying if they kept her as an Unknown Entity.
I've always adored lovecraftian horror and how it creates this fear of the unknown. Which is why I adored the Payday 2 Secret ARG for bringing in things like Nephilims and Ancient Relics of unknown origin. (No seriously, they actually did that.)

https://us.v-cdn.net/6030815/uploads/661/JP0LENSMA7Z1.jpg
But the problem with Dead by Daylight's lore and The Entity is that BHVR has given us a little bit too much detail on her.
For one, we know her gender. That's one mystery that stops being questioned immediately. She's a femalle.
Secondly, because we know she goes through a yearly blight, we can speculate that she is most likely a plant rather than some eldritch monster like Chthulu.
Third, we know she can only come to our world through acts of mass death and violence or by stepping into her forest.
Fourth, we know she doesn't have a complete grip on her realms. The Hatch, the Golden Toolboxes, even Auric Cells which are the building blocks of her realms can be used to manipulate objects inside the realms or the realms itself. So that makes her less of a fearful deity.
I think the Entity is an interesting concept for a character, a multidimensional being (or plant as speculated) that can transport survivors and killers into a neverending game of life and death. She doesn't do this for her sadistic desires, but to survive as she feeds off of the Survivor's hope.
She sends killers to put the survivors under immense stress and pressure as well as give them a fighting chance to escape and survive. Continually feeding off of their hope for escape, their hope to escape her realm and this nightmare.
She could've been scary. But the fact that we know even bits about her shows that she isn't an Unknown, she doesn't make us fear her for not knowing what she is.
I feel like half of this post was just me rambling about stuff so excuse me if it doesn't make sense ^^;
For one, we know her gender. That's one mystery that stops being questioned immediately. She's a femalle.
If you refer to the devs calling the Entity "she" it's because in french nouns are either males or females, there aren't neutral ones like in english.
Also, I doubt a multidimentional being can be classified as animal, plat or whatever.

Gotta love assumptions based on actual stats and data.

Hybrid Pand and Otzdarva are the only ones I follow because I like their attitude, the other ones I find them boring or cringey.

May be. I just offered at least some solution.
Aside from that, there are a lot of swf teams made of potatoes who try just to have fun in company (SWF=/=ultra efficient commando squad), that would be extremely unfair to them.
-
From what you say, it seems your friend should get better at killer to have proper opinion on the matter.
Anyway I agree, this game is too randomized to be able to define a power role, especially when considering maps and spawns. Being skilled includes somewhat overcoming this, but when you're unlucky you're unlucky.
-
The "problem" with this game is that it's an asymmetrical game, so the 1v4 should take priority, but it's not necessarily a team game, so even the 1v1 aspect is very important. I know it's kind of of a non-answer, but one doesn't exclude the other.
-
Because they were better at survivor than I was at Nurse they were able to avoid many blinks since they can avoid her telegraphed location.
Maybe that was the problem...?
I mean, I just recently got the Demogorgon and in the first period I couldn't use his power at all. It would have been easy to say he was not fun and give up on him, but after asking for advice on the forums and some practice I'm starting to get better. Obviously at high ranks it isn't easy, but with a bit of patience it's doable.
-
I'd say yes if Devour Hope didn't exist
-
Do you really think all the data the devs use to base their decisions on is from one week many months ago when they collected some (sloppy) info the community asked?
-
They never teased a rework. From the little we know the teaser could be about Rin's father.

Actually no according to the devs themselves she wasnt over killing anyone and no her kill rating wasnt highest and the devs themselves said so..I'd recommend checking your facts next time..good day
They literally said so during the last stream.

The devs plan to make everyone that way..and the devs dudnt ignore nurse despite very few performing well with her and that didnt stop them..so save me that line..and also..I was in dev streams and every mention to the nurse was "we are going over her addons" they didnt openly talk about a base power change..they had it under the table and barely if ever mentioned it openly and certainly not on any of the forums
It wasn't "very few" to perform well, she had the highest kill count on high ranks according to devs.
And yes, they did mention it, at least in these forums, more than once.
-
but then the devs held back information on their true plan until the day before the ptb
They didn't. They said since the beginning that some adjustment to her power was necessary, they just didn't explain the details but we all knew something was coming.
she and nurse are the only killers considered viable enough at present to fight on equal footing to well equipped teams
Still they're (was in case of Nurse) used most of the times to stomp teams with no means to fight back. Not everyone is a commando swf.
-
Personally I like a lot Mother's Dwelling, I think it has a fair amount of pallets/windows, many trees to favour stealthiness (also for killers) and the buildings offer many mindgames for both sides
-
I don't like much how they can be used in chases since that's cheap from the killers' perspective, but as a solo survivor I can tell how important it is to have a way to open the hatch.
Imo they should just take longer to open the hatch, but otherwise they're fine. I would like an addon rework though, since on that they're very underwhelming.
-
The ebony mori is definetly busted, since it basically reduces the killers' objective by 2/3, and it promotes toxicity. On the ivory I'm a bit torn because it has the same flaws of the ebony, but it's not so impactful on the survivors. The cypress is ok, it's more about the cool factor.
-
Imo if you have fun making other people miserable you're a sociopath and shouldn't play games.
-
Not to be that guy, but currently BT and DS are getting used a lot against killers who don't camp nor tunnel.
I disagree with pretty much everything, except a bit about the ranking system. At red ranks I don't feel like I'm playing with good survivors at all.
