So I decided to try a new build with Head On, Quick And Quiet, Blast Mine, and Flashbangs and the killers I went against were not happy with it.
I had this one Bubba on The Pale Rose who I kept stunning with Head On and Blast Mine. Safe to say, he was not happy and camped me. Then I had a Artist who tunnelled me because of Head On. Then I had a Nemesis on Eyrie Of Crows who also camped me.
It's like I'm not allowed to have any fun in this game without getting tunnelled or camped. 😑
I don't think it was them trying to ruin your fun, you clearly brought an offense build (which does sound pretty fun) and it might be something these killers weren't accustomed to so they responded in an aggressive and equally offense oriented reaction. You seemed to be creating a problem for the killer (in which you creatively concocted) and they eliminated the problem within their own limitations.

Not going to lie I find it weird how they sell DLCs at full price while the norm now is not having a map, but I'm sure the Haddonfield rework will probably come around the mid-chapter.
If I'm not mistaken the maps were never factored into DLC price because you had access to them even if you didn't buy the dlc.

As a killer it is literally impossible to counter swf.....
It is terribly overpowered and survivors shouldnt be allowed to qeue with friends
Whats stopping them from forming a party with randoms?? nothing
but honestly this game gives too much power to those players and i honestly think it would be a lot better if there was only a solo qeue option for them
this would make things so much easier for killers and the only time you would encounter swf is at the highest mmr
this is better for a horror game because i dont think dbd benefits from the funsy "get your friends together and reduce the population of people who enjoy the game as a killer" mindset
every game you play you have to deal with people who can communicate and abuse the least balanced aspects of the game
Chase with certain killers is near impossible and their utility is uselesss
I dont want to hear "oh Otzdarva says the game is balanced because it isnt, idk if he just has better mmr or what because im getting stomped at baby ranks as a killer
This game is TOXIC and should not be played by anyone until it is fixed
Have you considered maybe this just isn't a game for you. When Sea of Thieves came out I was excited but soon after I found myself getting frustrated and ragey, realizing it was not fun...for me...I have since quit the game and found other games that don't get me that way. Sometimes it happens like that, I could be wrong this is just anecdotal and me sharing my experience.

I'll look at it.
I don't really think there's gonna be much hype for Sadako. Ringu is cool and I like new licenses, but considering it's not a super well-known franchise AND it was announced months ago, I don't expect there to be much hype.
My prediction is that the Survivor and Sadako will both be extremely OP because that's the only way I see them selling well.
also is it bad that i don't want a new map? the last two were midwich (yuck) and RPD (literally the worst)
You are forgetting Eyrie (sp?) That was the last map released.

BHVR is pretty infamous for messing up many things. Their statement is correct since the devs were found to be all low ranks on Not Queen's stream years back.
I dunno man, I think thats where our experiences might differ...I play this game super casually, I think I started playing when nurse came out, so I have been here a while. I guess I play it for what it is as a fun party light game. It never felt off I. Terms of my wins and loss ratio, usually if I do poorly I chalk it up to my own skill rather than thinking it's a balancing thing.
But as I said, that's been me experience, your milage may vary.

2 kills is not a win, the devs don't know what they are talking about. Most devs don't even play their own game. I can easily get 2 kills with bubba by just camping someone in the basement and then crawling out with noed to get another free kill. That is not a win, nor is that balanced.
Did you just say the devs, the people who made the game don't know what they are talking about? Sorry but I'd rather take thier word over some nobody on the forums.

Imagine that you buy something expensive with money you got from burning down the Amazon Rainforest. But then you don't get the actual thing you bought, just a receipt that tells you that you own it. (not my words)
Honestly, I'm not sure if that's true. All I know is that NFT's has a bad impact on global warming, etc.
It's like those certificates you used to be able to buy saying you owned a star in the sky.

Because they shouldn’t be punishing long time players who have invested more than anyone. Also, it’s ######### to reward people who don’t put effort in.
Dude it is a casual game, if you take it serious and stuff. That is a you situation you cant expect them to cater to you when it is aimed to be CASUAL. You arent being punished because you play hard. Dont be silly

Never go for the unhooked person who got saved right in front of you. Literally just ignore them.
I have played so many matches of killer where I ignore the unhooked survivor, that it is now built into my brain like waiting out Dead Hard. It ends in wins that feel better and make you proud of yourself, and survivors that genuinely had a fun time playing with you.
If you tunnel and then say that you can't win without tunnelling, then that's just an indicator of how bad your skill is.
Yes, it makes the game more challenging, but who wants easy games everytime? And you DON'T have to win every match you play! Sometimes, I have more fun in the matches that I lose because the survivors looped me well and I actually had to try in order to get some hooks.
What makes me so angry is that in the rare occasions I do play survivor, I am almost always tunnelled. Once, I got unhooked and the ghostface immediately went for me, smacked me, hooked me again. I got unhooked in front of him later, he smacked me, hooked me again, and I was out. No other survivor was hooked, I didn't do anything in the match.
I couldn't even loop him, didn't have a chance to get into a chase. He downed me as soon as I was done with the unhooked animation. All I did was stare at the screen and hit the struggle skill checks on hook, all game.
When you pay for my game and dlcs then you can tell me how to play. Until then I stab whom I see.

It's hard for me to disconnect sometimes.
I've been gaming since the late '80s and have a fairly thick hide, but people in this game seem to have turned getting under my skin into an art form.
I get that. Tbh I used to be like that. Sea of thieves used to bring out the worst in me. But this game is the one that helped me get over that and see, it's just games and win, lose or being slugged....its still better than being at work or whatever lol
-
I personally just play the game as normal. If people wanna turn into rage babies over a video gamez they need to so some self evaluation.
-
I got accused of being a hacker by a streamer because they didnt understand blood warden and the Kruger addons, so I told them they lacked reading comprehension. Then I was accused of saying they were illiterate.....which seemed they wanted to play the victim card from the start.

Sometimes i get stomped, bm'd, etc or i just feel really bad, and honestly the other side making fun of me and constalty harassing me doesnt help me at all, this game has brought MY WORST SIDE, im simply not myself when i play this game, and i dont really enjoy playing any other game really, so switching games is not an option, i need a way to quickly cool down and not be overwhelmed by anger and frustation.
Most of this anger and frustation turns out into disconnecting, i've been penalized up to 7 days, which dont get me wrong, was okay for me and was all my fault, i just waited there 7 DAYS without playing anything else, the dc penalty is okay, however it doesnt discourage people who are angry from doing it...i just keep doing it everyday, because im so angry and frustated i need to vent in some way or another.
I wish there was a way for people like me, who get frustated and angry VERY easily to properly vent and keep playing without, well you know, disconnecting in such rage.
one option i though about was some sort of time-out, where you can, after some time decide if you want to keep playing, or leave, if you're a killer, you grant the survivors a a pip and max bloodpoints so they dont complain that you left , also progress toward challenges would be saved, meanwhile as survivor you could give your team a compesation advantage, of everyone agrees to end the game, bloodpoints and pips.
my whole point is that I NEED some method to stop disconnecting in the heat of my rage, or another way to vent without having to wait an eternity, i cant just go afk because i will eventually go back and see the other side harassing, making fun of and even insulting me, there must be a better way than just letting the other side farm bloodpoints from you, while you sit there waiting like 10 more minutes, it just TAKES TOO LONG!
this was basically a little rant, please take it with a grain of salt.
Take a break a long break and play other stuff. I am usually a quite chill and docile person but this game Sea of Thieves turned me into a rage filled a-hole. So I took a year long break from bn it and played other stuff. Now I am able to go back and play without getting mad.
Maybe you just need to play other games to remind you gaming is a recreation and fun activity.

-
I think a 100% random mode would be fun. The survivors get given a random survivor with random perks and the killer gets a random killer with random perks. Noone knows who they are or what they have til the match starts.
It would be cool because people would end up with perks they may not try otherwise and someone might find out they are pretty good with a killer they were unsure of.

3) Hatch hasn't spawned
How can I possibly survive in this scenario? Where is the counterplay?

Pig is an extremely oppressive killer. She's the only killer who can kill you without being near you, and if I decide to urban evade in the basement instead of searching boxes it's a 100% guaranteed free & undeserved kill.
How is that an undeserved kill? Kills just dont magically happen

As a killer main i've been trying to enjoy this game and not letting other people ruin it for me, but after tonight i just cannot tolerate the toxicity anymore.
I went against a swf with 2 live twitch streamers and they were all disrespectful as any player could be. That's whatever, but in endgame chat they were just spamming hurtful comments and that really triggered me today. I reacted back in a bad way, and im probably going to get banned for what i said anyways because im outnumbered. I just cannot believe live twitch streamers were doing this and people were watching them. It just feels humiliating.
This stuff just makes me so depressed. I bought this game as an escape but all it has done is just make me look at humanity from an even worse point of view. I play killer instead of self-harming but when people in this game constantly tell you that you are an unlovable horrible person for just trying to have fun and enjoy the experience, it will affect my self-esteem eventually, you can't just shrug these things off forever. I wish people would get that, it's not as simple as just ignore them or close endgame chat. When players act like that you want to know what they are actually trying to say...
And it makes me sad that Behaviour seriously does not care, about toxic people and hackers that ruin the experience. I've asked so many players why they don't report and it's because they say they do make reports and nothing happens, they see the same players again months or years down the line.
I really wish i could enjoy this game, especially considering how much money i've spent on it, and seeing what a dedicated community it has, but i just can't handle playing with this player base anymore.
I'm not really sure why im making this discussion. But i guess i just wanted to know if other people feel the same way. And what insight they may have.
I hope you enjoy your time off from the game. Theres a pretty good line up of games coming up I'm sure you will find something that brings you enjoyment.

I also agree with the conjuring and they have quite a few killers to choose from although I think Valek be the most recognised.
If they did this though I would like two survivors again. Ed and Lorraine Warren.
I think it might be in poor taste to have Ed and Lorraine as survivors being their IRL passing being so soon and it might be a bit disrespectful to put them in a game where they could be hooked and killed.

My personal feelings about Slenderman are that he wouldn't work. He's all about hanging around and messing with children, and he's also incredibly tall. This is my own personal take but I also find popular creepypastas annoying, they're just amateur (and often, though not always, very poor) little horror stories that are basically written these days to become the next big internet meme. I guess you could say that I look at the creepypasta community the same way many look at the FNAF community: It seems too obnoxious to be included in the game. Too unearned.
Again though, that's just my own personal opinion. Though one last thing: I DO think that it would be really weird to give attention and financial compensation to the creator of a charter who - though not at all his fault - led to the real life attempted murder of a young girl. His inclusion would almost seem like a celebration of the character despite that famous aspect of his history which just seems skeevy to me.
Oh I wasnt rallying for his inclusion. I have no feelings towards slenderman and am very lukewarm on its existence. I was just bringing up the license holder thing to converse haha.

Well I am just gonna say this.
They said they talk to lord Voldemort and the teenage mutant ninja turtles. So pretty sure they would have done it with a different fictional character that all I am gonna say.
Also with Jeepers Creepers is different. Director that helped make the movie did bad stuff. No one in creation or real life connection of Slenderman did anything bad just some random girls.
[edit] PS I am still hating how people give Slenderman the bad rap. Did nothing wrong and was used to make scary stories and video games.
I'm not 100% sure but if I recall the people who own licenseing for Slenderman are pretty fickle about it. I could be wrong

In my opinion, I think it's because they are the most relatable. When I say relatable I mean because they are not a floating nurse , a zombie cowboy, or a conjoined twin. They are regular people and 100% plausible.

You know I guess I am starting to wonder why this community points out the term sweats as often as it does. Idk if I know the proper sweats term. But I imagine it isn't much different from try hards? I mean even that terms to me is off putting. Why do we categorize sweats and try hards in a negative connotation? I mean what's wrong with trying your outmost best to win a match?
But to answer your question I would imagine this is an easy answer. It'd be your killers that are meta that are filled with "sweats"
Can you imagine if someone went up to any other top athlete and told them they were a sweat. Like #########? Okay so I did amazing? Thanks?
The term “sweat” has been used at large by Fortnite streamers to talk about players who use complex and difficult strategies to take down opposing players even when they wouldn't need to. ... “Sweat” literally means that after a fight, the player was surely trying so hard to make a flashy play that they're sweating
People who use terms like "sweaty" or "try hard" usually are just bad at the game. I worked for an internet gaming cafe and would see that term tossed around by people who would lose. I remember trying to play call of duty word at war online...and being terrible..I have used those words when in reality I was just getting mad cause they were better. People dont lile to lose and would rather blame it on the other person rather than accept the fact they arent as good as they thought.
I 100% agree with you.

The advantage of being small and silent would be unique in this game. The developers are creating new mechanics and new abilities, if it were the case Pig should never be here because he is nothing without his traps, but if he crouches basically he is equal to Chucky, small and silent. The developers love it and they said it in an interview like the whole community. So if possible.
That's the thing tho. Pig has those traps in the movie, it isnt made up. Chucky has nothing

Because you're saying that if someone gets unfortunately noed'd. That everyone should just go and leave?
They're your team, and it's your job to try and help it.
I agree sometimes if I get noed'd I just tell my swf to just go and let them get the 1k.
But several times has someone come to save me or save someone else and we've all escaped whilst noed was still active.
So I'm not saying don't do this, because it is a smart desicions. But then again if everyone played well and you were noed'd wouldn't you want your team to at least try?
Just like real life , not everything works out and sometimes you gotta just cut and run. Gotta know when to hold em, know when to fold em, know when to walk away...know when to run.
