But to be honest, the developers just want her to be as strong as she is now, if they were not, she would get a nerf after 2 weeks like old freddy, just deal with it, even devs want to have op killer
They tried to nerf her significantly multiple times in the past. In a recent dev stream, the devs also said they were looking to adjust her (obviously not to make her more OP).
Granted, many of their attempts were glitchy, but people freaked out over it. She's a staple pick for many Purple to Red Rank Killers. It's not because she's fair and balanced, but because she's easier to see success with in high ranks over trash M1 Killers like Legion.

Ahh purging the legacy of Sabo Jake one slug at the time.
Not going to lie letting someone bleed out can be pretty toxic but considering you were saboing their hooks, I think it's a fair trade-off
Eh, I just wanted to try new sets. The current meta is incredibly stale.

She is strong but only in the hands of the right person, If I play nurse i'll be lucky to get one kill - she has a very high ceiling of play I think and kudos to ppl who want to practice and get good with her.
She has a high ceiling but you don't need to be that good with her to do well.
Even less so when you use any combination of her decent add-ons. Anyone that plays Killer regularly can get good at her in a week's time because she's mostly mechanical skill.
IMO, the only Killer that has a truly high skill ceiling is the Huntress barring her wind-up add ons. Survivors can counter her as much as she can counter survivors.
-
Lithe is already one of the best exhaustion perks since they took away the chase requirement.
While I would have agreed pre-buff, I don't think it needs any more adjustments.
-
I had a Freddy put me in a corner to let me bleed out as the last survivor alive.
Granted I was playing a Saboteur build, so I made them pretty salty.

Make killers op and survivors weak cause that’s how a horror game should be
Your "survivors" will be bots or be teams of 20. :)
I'd balance the game around 4 kills, but everyone living for at least 8-15 minutes, and be able to contribute while dead. Survivals should be rare, but dying swiftly and being gen rushed needs to go. Also no looping.
-
Nope. It's not even a good perk to use if you want to "win". It's a ticket to a depip / black pip in high ranks.
It'll probably get reworked to jumpscare in a more engaging way in the future.
-
Protection hits are toxic.
Healing is toxic.
Flashlights are toxic.
Doing gens it toxic.
Looping is toxic.
Surviving is toxic.

@Visionmaker if I wanted a slug fest I would play omega blink nurse.
@Jdsgames Then it's not about the perk, it's about entitlement.
Eat the DS and move on.

Don't be a bystander. Be an upstander.
Could you clarify this for us? Can we report Fog Whisperers for unsavory behavior?

I played huntress and heard NO humming at all
They fixed that in PTB according to the patch notes.
I'm guessing silent humming is the same sound bug that causes some gens to be silent depending on the angle in which you're facing it.

@Visionmaker my main altercations with it is the ds user making saves on another ds user. Both are in their immunity state. How is that fair play? Again as people suggested a hook after they have been unhooked should be the nullifier.
@Jdsgames You slug. They are not immune, they just should not be picked up for 60s.
If they are both injured, you get to slug both of them. Unhooking in front of the Killer is always a bad play and puts Killers in an advantage, not the other way around. You lose the advantage by not countering their perks.
This is exactly why I don't think DS needs to be nerfed.
-
Wow, a good suggestion. Maybe I'd feel confident enough to play Huntress with that.
+1
-
Breaking them while he's chasing someone else.
Not exactly a counter because of how easily he puts them right back, but that's good practice to potentially save your teammates.
-
@NMCKE said:
Fun fact, if you use Make Your Choice, then you should know exactly the DS timer ends because both DS and MYC has a 60 second timer when the unhooked survivor is rescued. Therefore, once your MYC timer ends, it's safe to pick up the DS survivor.
Also MYC is a pretty good counter to DS too because it encourages you to go for the savior, and discourages the savior from healing the injured survivor.
If you're good, you get a hook. If you're bad, you get an easy slug and then a hook after 60s.

I dont think it'll make a massive difference, it'll just make the quality of life for the Killer a little less frustrating.
I don't think so either, but that's the problem. DS is inherently frustrating for a good reason.
People will always complain about DS because it prevents them from playing the way they want (and it's a punishment). They hold DS under a microscope for little reason but annoyance. This minor, symbolic change will only placate people for a fat two minutes because it doesn't change much.
Unless the change will contribute to balance, I don't see justification.
edit: I also agree with other posters. It's not QoL. A QoL change would be a timer.

All they need to do is make it so if you hook someone else, the activation window for DS ceases until that person gets hooked again.
I agree that the change would be fair, but I don't think it is needed.
No other perk is put under the same scrutiny as DS is, and that's because balance isn't the driving factor. I'd rather have stats justify it, rather than simple gripes.

This forum is survivor biased? LOL
Any place that's not a Killer Support Group is survivor biased!
Survivors shouldn't be able to heal! Gens should take thirty minutes more! Keys are broken but Ebony Moris require skill! Teabagging is the most toxic thing in the game! Survivors should only get one perk each so it's 4 perks vs 4 perks! Devs haven't nerfed survivors since the beginning of time!

Killer already downed and hooked one or two other survivors.
DS still activated after survivor decided to bomb rush the hook as they actually had nothing to fear.
Again: so the Killer should've slugged instead.
If you want to deactivate the perk, then you wait 60s after getting someone unhooked, like the perk states. Of course there is nothing to fear if you use DS versus a Killer that refuses to counter it.
Why should a survivor that refuses to cleanse totems complain about NOED?

There was a clip somewhere here where survivor got unhooked, run around for a while then after killer hooked 2 other survivors, first survivor which was streaming at the time went for the save, got grabbed and DS'ed away.
HE GOT TUNNELED SO HARD that other 2 survivors slipped and fell on hooks because of all that tunnelling.
So the Killer should've slugged instead. If all of that happened as you said, the Killer could have prevented it by slugging or waiting for DS to expire.
The perk activates if you are picked up within 60s of being unhooked. No more, no less. It is laid out in plain writing and there is no need to complicate it any further.
DS does not need to be changed just because you refuse to adapt to it.
-
We have a ton of new and small-time content creators.
Why don't you support them instead, rather than the people who're burned out from being in the limelight for years already?
-
Agreed. It's really clunky and obnoxious to use in a chase.
IMO, it's one of the biggest reasons why Dream Pallets are way stronger. They're effortless.

Nope. No need for 5 gens done. If someone already died, and the hatch is spawned, EGC triggers as soon as killer closes the hatch, when the keyholder left.
Opening the hatch with a key before the 5th gen is done is as stupid as the possibility to mori after the first hook (changing Mori´s to be possible AFTER 2nd hook i´d like to see).
Read the OP.

Give me some sign that i can pick up survivor without getting stunned then it will have counters.
Survivor is unhooked by a teammate instantly, and/or and makes little effort to run or hide right after getting unhooked. Which, ironically, is what the OP is complaining about.
Or make it a practice to slug recently unhooked people and go for the unhooker. If you don't want to give up the hook, simply injure the unhooker and go back to pick up the person with DS.

Yeah!
Especially in the endgame when the gates are open and you automatically lose regardless of whether you slug them or pick them up.
What a reward for playing "fair" and not tunneling all game.
People complain about DS in the beginning, people complain about DS in the end.
People complain about it disrupting momentum. People complain despite having counterplay.
It's almost as if perks that help survivors survive are generally unpopular!

It sucks that the new Freddy doesn't get global aura reading on sleeping survivors. That's what made him unique and fun.
Fun to play*
Global aura reading is obviously oppressive to play against, required very little skill, and needed tremendous setbacks to his kit to offset.
-
You don't need the grind to try new perks or builds. If you like variety, BHVR could easily implement a random perk option or instate quests that require certain loadouts.
The grind doesn't make the gameplay fresh. It does the complete opposite.
-
Would be nice if Luck perks and offerings increased chances for skill checks too.
-
You could've easily closed it the second time. Now you know.

The problem is that it's been shown things like this have been purposely done before.
Can I get an example?
-
Survivor: No Mither, Solidarity, Self-Care, Object of Obsession.
It's fun, I promise.
-
It's harder to quantify the benefits of Corrupt Intervention. CI may not even achieve its goal of grouping everyone up, as they just as well may search out for totems and chests for a good portion of its duration too. It also inevitably helps survivors spread out gens.
Ruin is a wildcard, but offers another objective for the Killer to take advantage of, which is also hard to recognize. (Think about those times where the Killer easily slugs multiple people for being greedy.) It also actively delays all generators, rather than just half of them. Technically Ruin also doubles over as a detection perk for those who poorly attempt to power through it.
Personally, I think Corrupt Intervention is worse, with all considered. Sure, you get guaranteed value out of it, but its impact is smaller and harder to snowball with. I would love to see hard data on it though!

Ahaha, exactly what it feels like.
I think everyone should relax a bit. It doesn't appear purposeful and is certainly not the end of the world.
-
I'd rather secondary objectives do something more than just waste time. Like if they unlocked areas of the map, or offer some sort of tactical advantage like unlocking certain loops, vaults, or pallets.
I mean, any change of pace is an improvement, but it's rather dull if you have to go on a trip for every mundane generator.
This idea would be nice if it was for a very safe generator, like the one in the autoshop or in Freddy's creepy love dungeon.

@Visionmaker Thanks, I couldn't recognize it on my screen.
Well, we don't know whether the red rank was in a SWF group with the other survivors. If yes, then the matchmaking was kind of working.
Np.
Honestly there are few, isolated times I queue as solo or duo and get dumped in a low rank lobby or have oppositely skewed lobbies too, but yeah, more likely than not, it's SWF.
One recent example of a strangely uneven matchup I took a picture of:
-
Sometimes I'm tired and quite frankly don't care.

@ElusivePukka said:
If you're versing red ranks, those are some of the least likely to farm. Greens and purples will appreciate it, but an average farming session hurts higher ranks as far as pips go far more than bullying lower ranks.
I don't agree.
Farming only hurts red rank killers in pips. I have no issue pipping up as a red rank survivor while farming. All you really need to do is interact with the Killer and be present for healing orgies. It guarantees a black pip even if you are lazy.

I never waste effort on Trapper and Wraith dailies because they give less.
Eh. I find Trapper's annoying only because it's fairly hard as a ######### Trapper. Same goes for Pig, Bubba, and Huntress's.
But even if Wraith daily is less rewarding, it is effortless in comparison. If I can get it done in one game, I'll do it.
