On high mmr you see them very often. What you also see often is people disconnecting against her. I hope the devs do something against nurses overpowered nature.
Yes she's strong but the main issue is no one wants to learn how to deal with her. The ones Dcing or really raging to Nerf her probably wish she can be countered by hold W meta and pre drop pallets..... because I'm the nurse games I play (I'm a moderate nurse nowhere near God tier) people just DC or fail to do the basic ways to loop her.....they just hold W

Unlike you I play her, and I have no issue escaping against a nurse when I play survivor (double range or not).
I have about a 50/50 rate maybe a bit lower depending on the nurse player but she's not impossible to dodge once you know how her blinks work. Mother's dwelling is my best map to escape her.

If you need to camp in order to get some kills you are just bad, at this point you should join the nurse army and get a down every blink with the strongest add-ons, if you wanna play noskill better play a killer noskill too
Thing is if he has to camp to get Kills Nurse is probably to high of a skill ceiling for him. Nurse is all about being good with chases and predicting how survivors will move. He is best to go with Bubba since Bubba is like current DH use M2 and done.

Time limited cosmetic...or so they say.
Well every cosmetic for the past majors events haven't made a comeback

I believe DH will be fine. It will take more skill to time it to gain that 1 sec of endurance.

My advice is just play the game and don't stress over it. I got all 12 in 2-3 days. Without even going out of my way once to look for them.
The thing is If others are like me I only have a day to play because I work so much. So if I can't find these buggy invites then I'll miss out on a limited cosmetic item I was looking forward to.

It's better in one half of It's uses for those skillful enough to use it.
It can't just be used for distance anymore.
Plus it causes slowdown via mending.
If someone gets a DH off against you, it may be more efficient to drop chase and pressure someone else, someone who doesn't have to mend.
Plus it will no longer cause powers to whiff via hit validation. You won't for example be able to DH a Doctor's shock, or over a Trap.
If they used old DH to avoid Doc Mc Loves shock then they deserve to go down....that's just sad

No they combined both ways to make it a more OP perk.
Before you could avoid the hit with two ways of using it :
- dodging the hit when launched but if no safe place around = gaining some time but still dead
- preventing a hit to be launched by using the distance gain to reach a safe place = not dead in safe place
Now they combine both and it is even worst.
A well timed DH will now allow the survivor to tank the hit and the surv will be granted a speed boost to reach a safe place. It was impossible with the old DH.
So now = not dead and in a safe place 100% of the time
But they won't be safe because the boost from the hit isn't that good to begin with and they are not fully invincible, they will get a deep wound which as we all know will down them if they don't heal. Do if the Killer keeps on them they will go down from the DW.
Another thing is that the new DH will be fully skill based and not dumb luck or press E and forget. So in the hands of most of the "skilled" survivors it won't help them.

DH wasn't nerfed... They literally reworked that perk (in a lazy way I might add since it's essentially a styptic agent on demand for 1 second)... It's stronger in some situations and worse in others, but overall it wasn't nerfed to the ground as you said. Selfcare didn't deserve to being nerfed so much (at least bothany was buffed to compensate and if you run both you won't waste too much time healing). spine chill was a bit overnerfed (still it deserves some nerfs since that perk completely countered stealth killers) and iron will needed to be nerfed since this perk alone was enough to completely counter spirit's power, without mentioning that it was nerfed also to put on the same spot with stridor (and still it was nerfed less than stridor)
IW might of been over nerfed too....imo it should of been lowered to 80-90% so survivors could still stealth a bit but Stridor could be useful again and the can't use while exhausted makes so feasible sense.
DS was a good choice but PTB will tell if 3 sec is too much of a Nerf or not.... personally 4 sec might of been better since you lose 1 sec to the animation.
DH is now will take skill to use and not oh no I made a mistake I'll hit E to gain some ground to that pallet.
But like IW some other etf why they do that was Ruin losing its regression and is disabled after 1 kill....if they made it a regular perk then all that is fine but it's a Hex...it's supposed to be stronger than normal perks.
-
@Tsulan said:
https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/3024552#Comment_3024552
I'm sure the devs will adjust the timer depending on how the perk performs on the PTB or after the change goes live.
They need to see how the Survivors who used perks outside of their normal parameters use them again.....4 sec might of been a better change but everyone has to remember that Das causes you to get off behind the Killer so that 3 secs or 2 secs is plenty of enough time to reach a safe spot to lose LoS.

From what I understand with Vommy Mommy is that her Vomit contains something called plague particles. They are part of the particle effects of her Vomit and if you don't hit them with enough of those particles they won't be infected .

You also chose to ignore it.
None of what you put here is objective it’s still all subjective.
You created two arbitrary scenarios and qualified one as fun and one not fun in a completely subjective manner.
Many elements of dbd are zero sum because the goal is objective denial of your opponent. This doesn’t make them inherently ‘unfun’.
Right as others said Fun is totally subjective. That's why they can balance the game around fun because what's fun for one isn't fun for others and no amount of changes can fix that.

Honestly probably. It's really hard to say exactly how new Dead Hard will be until we get to play with it but I honestly think it might have potential to be even better than its current version.
Granted the drawback will be that it will be more of a gamble. You'll actually need to predict getting hit and react accordingly but the payoff seems like it will be quite high if you tank the hit.
But vs nurse this new version should be just as powerful against her since her attacking after blinks is, well, pretty predictable.
New DH will take actual skill to use and not I made a mistake press E. We will actually see who has chase skills and who doesn't when they can't use DH for distance

Really? I see a goodly amount of Agi when I face a Nurse, and if you watch some Otz streams, it's fairly common.
Regardless, I predict you'll see it more. Killers will have a free slot now, usually occupied by BBQ or Ruin, and Agi will become an essential part of any SH build or Basement build.
I was figuring that too since Ruin has been ruined again *note See Trappers Song About Ruin* and I would make a basement build but not camping with my Demo Pup

I haven't seen a Agitation used in a long time tbh not even on a Nurse....starstruck yes but no agi

Scourge Hook: Monstrous Shrine
She hooks one, he will die faster, if she is 24m away. So she camps 25m away, having her Blink(s) ready to return instantly when the Hook-Aura (The hook itself turns direction while unhooking, u can see that) is moving.
Just one example.
Just combine it with another Scourge Hook and she has 4 SH on the normal map to "camp" from the distance, just to come back with 1 Blink. Now give her a little Make your Choice and one SH is Game over.
But then be like everyone else don't loop near the dungeon of pain and love. That's just asking to be hooked and camped.

Iron Will should have just been fixed and make survivors still make breathing sounds. While running they could even increase the breathing sounds. That was it. No need to nerf the pain sounds or add an exhaustion condition.
I think they did need to Nerf the sound part but that's why I said between 80-90% should of been the max so Killer could still track, spirit wasn't blind, survivors still could hide. But remove that exhausted part.

If it cant be used while exhausted it's going to be useless for people who use sprint burst.... the exhaustion part is the worst part of the nerf for me personally. It makes no sense at all.
Yea I mean physically it makes sense but as a game mechanic no not at all. I get they want to shake up the meta but there are other ways than gutting the Meta perks.

I am not sure how many hours you have in the game but everyone loses matches. You cannot win every match. There is so much RNG with the maps, items, perks, add-ons, etc that in most matches one side will be at a disadvantage. Once you stop placing importance on sacrificing them and instead focus on winning chases the game becomes much more fun. I have over 2400 hours and still face teams that keep me at 2 hooks all match. I do not take it personally knowing that the game can be random and unfair in my favor as well. Just move on to the next match and your luck will probably improve.
Perhaps the killer role will be less tedious with the next update.
I don't even do that I play to have fun and be silly....if I get a K yay if not oh well. I decided playing sweaty only raised my blood pressure and I wasn't having fun.
Now there are times I'll pull out Demopup or King and Queen Doc or just Vommy Mommy and make their lives full of terror and anguish. But that's on a very rare occasion.
-
Here's the thing and first off I agree they went a little Nerf happy with IW and a few other perks......IW totally negated a major way Killers track and totally screwed over Spirit as that's the only way to track survivors besides scratch marks but that wasn't really reliable. IW also completely made Stridor useless because of the change the Devs made saying it was a "bug".
IW should of been changed to a 80-90% suppressed sounds while injured. That would of made everyone happy as survivors were not completely silent but still were quiet enough to hide. The can't be used while exhausted makes to feasible sense to me.

Often times I stun them with pallet but get hit AND they end up on my side of the pallet while stunned by it? That shouldnt be possible anymore.

Not gonna lie I notice this stuff too. At least, getting both a hit and a pallet drop is now more common for me. I think it's the servers being stress tested by the huge player increase thanks to anniversary.
This my fellow players is what is called Hit Validation a horrible system that lets the server decide if a hit connects or not.
Basically you vault or pallet drop at the same time the killer attacks. The server sees this and decides that either your command to vault was received before the killers command to attack. Basically the Server says that the killer initiated the attack before you did the vault or pallet.
Now the same can happen to the Killer as well. That's where the DH ate my power complaints came from. I have had a interesting Hit Validation when I was playing Oni....I was chasing a Bill and he reached a pallet. I attacked and got pallet stunned but I got the "hit" because I got the blood orb absorption animation and got blood orbs but Bill was not injured.

That may be a better way to handle it for stealth killer.
However it appears they wanted to avoid the "awkward" moonwalking/looking aside approach. Something beginners didn't do.
I agree and I'm no beginner but in a first person perspective game as Killer walking backwards and navigating I can not do.

Spine chill would have been fine with just the vault speed change. It's getting nerfed so hard the usage rate will drop to nearly zero.
The thing is they made a point...the counter to it was walking backwards which not alot of players can do so that's why they changed it to LoS....and to be honest....I never knew it gave a speed to vaulting lmao
-
@GoodBoyKaru said:
They got rid of the aspect of Dead Hard that removed any and all killer player agency (DHFD) and replaced it with something reliant on hit validation. Plus it's a nerf so people will stop using it even if it's still good out of instinct because they cannot fathom something remaining good after a nerf. So it's an absolute win here
Don't forget that DH will be a true Skill Based perk. Time it wrong then they still get hit and hurt

This isn't a mystery game.
Your comment is bias, this is not a step in the right direction, unless you want more free kills, then yes.
No this is a survival game where 4 survivors are being hunted by supernatural and unholy Killers. The Killers always should of been the power role but that wasn't the case, Kindred base Kit would of been too strong tbh but maybe they will add something similar to solos.
The Devs are slowly understanding that SWF was not implemented very well and now a stacked 4man has too much power. But until they can address that and bring soloQ up to that level then no real balance can happen we will only have these band aid fixes
-

That's the only thing it needed, so survivor still had breathing sounds when using iron will. Hell, they could even make breathing louder when they're running for all i care. But no, they completely butchered it.
They never should of changed Stridor to be fully countered by IW then this never would of happened tbh

The meta is still gonna be full of gen regression perks but boring as hell ones instead (Overcharge, Brine, Surge etc). Every single of my "I fear change" predictions came true and I'm disheartened (but not surprised) about it.
Ok did you not notice that ALL the Gen regression perks have the When a survivor is put into the dying state it's disabled....they won't be constantly on, that's why most of them got a Buff because they will be limited use.

And how are boons a problem? You find, down and hook a survivor then repeat that 11 more times.
It could be bad only when you lose the chased injured survivor. Also them healing means not working on gens.
Boons were a major problem they made most of the Killer Roster useless because CoH was a counter to Hit and Run Killers, and if you committed to the chase you'll lose multiple Gens before the down. So yes until recently after the adjustments to CoH the game became better but the major issue with Boons is before the recent added Perk, Killers had no way to deal with them besides figuring out who the Boomer is and deal with them.

HAH, easier for survivors, HAH!
I've started to play in 2020 and everytime I see an update it's a killer sided one, and this one is MASSIVE.
In addition the amount of tunneling camping slugging killers has been increased to nearly 100% (which is super disgusting and not enjoyable, and the reason why TONS of people disconnect or quit the game permanently), it is a rare case to find a killer that is NOT doing any of that, and then most of these are basically weak and gain up to 2-3 hooks during a trial, which (on the other hand) is also kinda boring.
We've just got an anniversary event and tons of people end up with under 10k points (pretty often even 2-3k) because they're just simply tunneled... the event is SOOOO enjoyable! /s
@Dead Hard - I'm at 3k hours and I can easily say that DH is trash (unless dashing for pallet/flashlight save), from both surv and killer perspective.
Ahhh I get it your a troll trying to cause arguments. That makes so much sense now....so Boons was Killer Sided huh.....the Nerfs to various Killer Perks to accommodate Boons in general ... It took them this long to bring out a perk just so Killer could actually deal with Boons

You are at a disadvantage because you'll be downed after one hit.
That's the whole point of iron will, maybe just look at its icon and read its "name"...
But no, these 24/7 tunneling, camping and slugging killers are too poor and need to hear every survivor now!
Thats the main way most Killers track being 100% silent made no sense and it was a complete counter to Stridor which was stupid because no one perk should be a full counter to another perk on either side. Did the Devs go a little overboard with IW Nerf.....yes 80-90% should of been the place to bring it down too and the can't use while exhausted dosnt make sense if you ask me.

I think exhaustion affecting IW is stupid. No other perk is affected by exhaustion in such a way and it’s honestly unnecessary.
I get the reasons behind it but it's a stupid reason. IW is basically the Survivor controlling thier breathing so the don't make as much noise when injured. So if they are are exhausted they can't control their breathing.....makes sense but stupid.
The reduction might be a tad too much but we will have to wait and see. Personally 85-90 as a max would of been fine.

It's alright. But the sweat has been a lot worse than usual. Noticeably worse. I'm more upset that I have to put up with trolls along side the stress when the game hasn't been this bad for a while. I'm mad that people who very obviously cannot compete with me in actual chase win because I can't reach them without walking for 15 seconds. Then watch them run to the opposite side of the map after a hit. That I lose 3 gens because people are splitting the pressure on gens. Is it the best way to play? Without a doubt. But that doesn't prevent it from being a bad experience. And I feel like my time investment isn't worth it because every game is like this.
Normally I'd take a break and come back. But I want to participate in the anniversary. I want to celebrate with the community. Instead it seems like the bonus bp and free cosmetics have only incentivized the worst aspects of the gameplay.
They should of done it like the Chinese New Year event with the envelopes... everyone has their own envelope and you use items to show yours to you at the beginning of the match.....if they did it that way then it would be a more chill game. I don't even remember it being very toxic during that event
