  • Again, it's not a hitbox problem, is actual desync. It happens for both sides, but predominantly in survivors'.

  • That's not it, the bug consisted in the killer idle position + his arms in the POV postion, you can see that most of them are contorted and shaky since the animations are "overlaping",

What's happening now, and somehow, is total desync, for both sides but it's way worse on survivors' side. The distance is normal for 1 side and for the other it's way far, as you can is in OTofu's video.

But the loading bug does not correlate to this desync.

  • I'm failing to understand how people can support the devs when they're clearly saying "screw your feedback" (from PTB).

You've paid for this game, you're not playing it for free. You spent or still spend money on it.

If you want to be a docile sheep, be my guest, but don't come to us, who want improvement to the game saying "just stop complaining and accept the changes".

  • Iron Will is fine but they surely need to fix sounds (especially footsteps).

Yeah the trailer hyped up red glyphs to be mysterious and dangerous, I expected something would happen or I'd receive a debuff of some kind (25,000 bp for three rounds of that though isn't enough thinking about it).

I was overly dissapointed from a gameplay perspective, the glyphs are cool af tho

I thought it would me some way to get special skins or something. So far it seems that's just a gimmick that they've coded into the game to utilize the 4th year crown code...

  • The real question is, what is the point?

  • Hexes going off quickly don't mean it's a SWF.

Totem spawns are awful (save from saloon, hawkins and midwich) and even if they don't spawn right next to you, you can search shack, hills, loops and corners near gens or hooks and it'll be at least 1 or 2 totems in those spots.

  • Also, with new Gideon, autoheaven fat-shamming bus and this kind of #########, Nurse is one of the only killers that can say "f. this stuff, I'll ignore all of it".

  • @hiken said:

yep is truth, i notice an incrase in GOD pallets, i think this is the map wich the highest count on GOD pallets at the moment. before the uypdate had a lot aswell, washroom, above washroom, around latters, sometimes it spowns one in the middle, now there are everywhere. is ana amazing job there indeed.

Yeah, this map was always about-ish 10 god pallets and a few unsafe but now the sheer quantity of god pallets is just gamebreaking. You need to be a total pepega (or against nurse/hag/spirit) to lose in Gideon as survivor.

Played it 10x today, seemed the same as always, was always a very survivor sided map to me so not surprised to hear this result, it really was just all safe pallets beforehand

Dude, for real, I've never seen SO MANY god pallets in a map, even old gideon...

  • @Xpljesus said:

    It always did lmao

Yeah but now is WAAAAAY worse. Played 3 games AS SURVIVOR and we got 4 escapes every single match.

It's just 100% safe pallets everywhere.

At least before was a "bunch" of safe pallets, now is "all of safe pallets"

  • I'm resurrecting this just to say:

I don’t think so a lot of people will stand up remember the aura changes they would probably listen but we need to stand up I hate this new UI they should change it

The thing is, the forum exploded with critics about the new UI. The ptb feedback was against it and still they've forced it live. They simply don't care and won't change. They've spent time changing something that literally no one was asking for and won't give up on it.

  • @OniWantsUrLocation said:

They simply have their own plans. In a few weeks, everyone will have gotten used to the changes and will no longer talk about them.

Figured. That's how they roll with everything in DBD, and We're to blame since We all shrug and move on...

  • Sally is actually a cutie, too bad she's into some deadly kinky stuff...

  • @[Deleted User] said:

Hold your horses killer mains. This is Behaviour Interactive we're talking about, I wouldn't be surprised if they change it to 90 seconds to compensate.

It would actually be good. They can change it to 5 minutes if it means that the survivor can't to actions to progress the game for that time. Might as well play a 1v3.

  • Dude stop. The "DATA" is utterly BS. If your argument is based on "big data" and graphics you're already wrong and there's nothing you can say to change it.

DBD doesn't really work based on data since it cabe be easily skewed.

It's like the devs saying that OoO and Keys aren't usefull since most of its users die totally ignoring that these survivors are hardcore tunneled and just screw the game experience for killers.

This was basically "scrapped", or, to be more precise, evolved into something different (no infos about it yet).

And IMO an early game mechanic is not needed.

They should focus on poor early game killers instead, and not every killer in this category... I play Oni most of the time (but I'm putting real effort on learning the blinky girl) and an "early game colapse" could make oni be the best killer in the game since as soon you've got the blood flowing in the map is really hard to counter his snowball besides spreading, imagine if I could do it before 2 or 3 gens got done (most of the time tooks 1 or 2 gens to get this going with Oni)....

    @Mister_Holdout

Survivors complained about Ruin, and the most recent upcoming Undying nerf?

I know I don't partake on the forums much, but I am pretty sure those were killers complaining.

Survivors complained about ruin and it got nerfed. Survivors complained about new ruin + undying and guess what?

  • Now we'll see how many survivors use DS purely to avoid tunneling or just to bash 1 min. of invencibility in the face of killers.

Reading through the forums I've come across some comments that Autohaven's cars are bugged for Nurse. Wanting to see for myself, a friend and I started KYF matches on Gas Heaven, Blood Lodge, and Wreckers Yard.

Each map I blinked around nearly every car, truck, and tire I could find. Every one of them ... is just fine.

Okay, so I couldn't find the bugged places on Autohaven maps. Could anyone who found issue spots provide the map and if possible the Tile ID? I like to stay informed of troubled spots.

    Thank You 🤗

I've got some BS null blinks through cars in the front of gas heaven, but it's inconsistent and not every game... Besides gas heaven I didn't find any more dead zones in auto heaven. But I'll never doubt someone who've said that found a dead zone since every time they touch a map it shadow nerfs Nurse with dead zones.

  • Imagine hoping for better sounds in DBD. The sounds have been broken for ages but it's way more important to release a new HUD that no one likes or to rework maps that no one wanted to (insert breakable walls everywhere). But you get used to it, with time you get better at predicting survivors' movement since you can't use sounds to chase.

  • Dude, the Pier is a BS area, never spend too much chasing there, if the RnG is in favour of survs you'll just lose time chasing in the Pier.

  • Even though this map doesn't have that many pallets, it can spawn several jungle gyms (my RnG is awfull with maps as killer) and is bloody HUGE. Most of the times survivors start spread (if they don't go Pepega and put a shroud) and by the time the first chase ends it's guaranteed to at least 1 gen pop and other 1 or 2 be near completion...

This map is really balanced if you know how to play it in each side. If there's at least 2 competent survivors shelter woods is a pain in the ass for killers, especially with low mobility or lethality.

So I definitely see the point but I split between Survivor and Killer and have to say the most unmotivating thing is the matchmaking. If you are a level 14 killer and your survivors are levels 1, 4, 5, and 12 you're gonna get frustrated. Its a match that shouldn't have been made. And if you get several in a row you're gonna leave. It stops being fun when the game is seemingly purposefully putting you up against survivors you cant beat because matchmaking isn't doing it's job.

Also, most survivor mains play killer in a while, get matched with potatoes in ranks 13-20 'cause they don't play as much killer then go "killer is easy enough"

Lightborn is a perk for players who are scared of survivors blinding them, nothing more. It rewards killers for playing poorly, if you can’t find a way to counter flashlights then I’m sorry, but you need to get good. I no longer bring flashlights into my games, because whenever I do, the killer decides to bring LB. I’ve been playing for maybe 7 hours today, and I’ve played against nearly 13 killers that used this perk, across various (although dominantly red) ranks.

When will the developers nerf this perk? At the very least, you should be able to blind the killler, but lose a certain amount of charges, or lose the ability to use it for a duration of time. That would be preferable to not being able to blind all together. If killers can have power add-ons that survivors can’t counterplay, Iridescent Head and Tombstone for example, why can killers do that to us?

Well... Same feeling (literally) but I have no doubt the the OP thinks that.

  • Power Struggle is fine as it is. It surely needs a dedicated build to work but it never was meant to be "meta". And if you ever played Oni or another heavely slugging killer, you'll notice that this perk is a strong counter to slug.

  • @C3Tooth said:

I mean, whats the point of bring inFlashlight if u immuned with Lightborne?

Not mention Monstrous shrine is top tier and never get nerfed

Imagine 9% faster hook stage in the basement? How dare the killer break the game this hard?

  • We're actually crying about Franklin's Demise now? What the actual hell? How entitled can someone be to really think this isn't a waste of a perk slot? What now? We'll be calling out for nerfs on Beast of Prey? Or lightborn?

  • Pretty common thing, locker vaccum is the peak of game design. They can't either put the locker away from windows or fix the prompts.

  • @Vetrathene said:

Yep, I was playing killer last night and I ended up against a group of poor rank twenty survivors againt my rank four butt. And they waited for that game for quite some time I would guess. It just shows they shove whatever survivors they have into whatever few killers are available at the time because so few people want to play killer because they keep getting gutted. Maps keep getting reworked in favors of survivor. DS+Unbreakable still a problem while Undying gets gutted. Thier bias is showing, thier lack of understanding of the game is showing, and the fact they only work when they want is showing. Its getting ######### awful.

Oh no, we don't say that devs are blatantly favoring survs. We have - BREAKABLE WALLS - good stuff right?

  • @Minaaa said:

Word of warning - You need 4 survivors and just 1 killer to play DBD.

If this game continues to overwhelmingly favour killers it will die.

The only way survivors stand a chance is if they have a swf, in solo queue you are just meat for killers to have fun with.

Hex Ruin, Hex Undying, Noed, Face camping, Tunnelling, insane red add-ons, etc, etc, etc....

I challenge Behaviour Interactive to release their stats on how often killers get a 4k vs 4 survivors escaping (across all ranks). We all know who those stats are going to favour.

Go ahead with that line of tought. Survivors queues are absurdly long RN so imagine with more survivor sided decisions. Entlitlement is killing this game.

  • I'd say Oni (although some of his add-ons don't do quite much, charge speed and power duration is bonkers so they make quite a difference but he's really not dependant on those) and Nurse.

  • @Mr_K said:

Use 70% Isopropyl alcohol to disinfect the cuts and hook holes. Those outside hooks are rusty so a tetanus shot may be needed. Also the killers don't properly clean their weapons. They just wipe the blood with their hands. Unsanitary. 🤢

That coming from a "nurse" just made my day.

  • @chieften333 said:

The answer to that is, they probably won't. If past complaints are anything to go by, they only listen to us when the entire community is actively outraged. In which case they go into damage control mode, which we all know is a facade for any company facing backlash.

That's what I think, and that's why I brought this up. It's such a simple compromise AND is something that they did and the community liked, so If they can't give in just a little bit it'll show how little they care and how little they're willing to do something that the community asks.

I wish to get better at one of both the strongest killers in the game and to me the most interesting gameplay wise I hope some of you guys can give me some useful tips and until then I'll be working to get better at nurse and hag.

As I've recently posted and still getting bashed for doing so... Nurse is really riddled with bugs (either hers, server related or maps with dead zones where you can't blink or can't blink properly).

BUT you can still main her, just be prepared to a sweat fest every match.

Watch Marth playing her (either go to his youtube or twitch). Oh Tofu has a pretty simple yet good guide to do the basic stuff with her too, it's a good video to watch.

What I can say is: almost never blink where the survivor pretend to go when they turn a corner, since most of the time they'll double back. Blink to that corner/place where you lost the sight (is almost always a good strat using the 1st blink to positioning and the second to attack).

Learn survivors move pattern, PC survivors are more "accostumed" to playing against Nurse, so most of them know what to do to avoid her.

You don't need ANY chase perks, since her chase is the strongest in the game, but infectious can help with snowball if you fancy slugging (it's always a good strat as nurse).

If you're learning her, don't feel bad for using a lot of gen defense since you'll take a while to get downs.

Her best add-ons are recharge time and distance (don't mess with distance add-ons untill you've gained the muscle memory of her blink timings and distance.

After a blink you have a 2s (ish) window to make a decision (go for a m1, a lunge, another blink or just fatigue) learn how to use it and react accordingly since every blink or m1 that you miss is more time fatiguing.

Other than that, you'll really need to play her to truly learn her, and be prepare to take a lot of L untill you get the grip.

  • Yeah, this kind of behaviour (pun not intended) is what make strong killers. You get used to it and stop caring about survivors' fun, so you start slugging and tunneling (when it's optimal is a strategy) and then you start winning and suddenly survivors just don't feel like t-baging and clicking anymore.

    This is the way.

  • IDK why ppl are getting so upty and saying "oh you should not tell people what to do or play" I'm just giving a head up to all new nurse players.

No, She's not satisfying to play at all. I call BS to anyone saying that blinking perfectly to a survivor just for the game say "haha f. no you won't" and then going into fatigue is fun.

That knowing how long you should hold m2 to blink, then getting ######### 'cause the map decided that NO, this really slim object actually is waaaaay larger so you should've hold longer is fun.

That wiffing through the survivor just 'cause the game can't register a post-blink lunge (no, it isn't wiffing the air, it's the weapon literally going through the model of the survivor - who's not injured, so no "E" counterplay) is waaaay too fun.

And that's just the most "common issues".

So yeah, you can totally go ahead and try to learn her and be welcome to the club, but be warned that it's frustrating as hell and every game that you play her (if you wan't to play her optimally and try to go for total domination) will be a sweat fest.

  • @GoodBoyKaru said:

Midwich doesn't let her blink properly? Afaik they fixed the haway so the only deadzones is the clock tower and its actually one of her best maps in the game imho.

I agree with the aim dressing on her being far too overtuned, as well as her post-blink lunge actually being shorter than all other lunges in the game excluding t1 Myers (which is annoying).

But as someone who decided to learn Nurse during this time she's still incredibly fun when you've got the basics down and one of the only genuinely rewarding killers to play.

Well, provided you don't get Coldwind, that is.

Midwich is still very broken, played against a friend yesterday to test it out and there's still deadzones in some corridors (I'm a potatoe to pinpoint locations on this map so, sorry can't really say what corridor, but was on the first floor) and I get dead zones in all reworked maps, even Shelter Woods. Ormond (wich is STILL a pain in the ass for normal killers since It's a HUGE map) is a BIG no no for her, especially in the main building (wich is busted for every killer) but the stuff they've thrown in the terrain is really broken since you need to hold way more the power button that you should to traverse it, and the autoheaven you can't properly blink through some car loops.

Idk, Nurse for me, even though I play her well, it's not satisfying anymore...

  • Breakable walls are the greatest joke in band-aid fixes that the devs come to slap in every map. The killer needs to break most of them to undo infinites wasting his time.

  • You know what, complaints like these only make me go to the old Dark Souls days.

    GIT

    GUD

  • Freddy, I always assume that they're either running forever or tinkerer + pop.

  • Reminds me last match (3 days ago, I really don't care playing DBD that much anymore) I'm playing oni against a 3 men SWF in Rotten Fields (Rotten Fields is almost a guaranteed L even against 2 men). I got a Feng down and instantly a Adam (and soon after I've downed him a Nea) starts to loop me in the jungle gym that she's hooked, untill she gets to struggle (I'm not using Blood Fury in a jungle gym on corn maps - long walls screw Oni hard - especially without any add-on that reduces charge time).

Nea after got hit ran to another place, so I've chased her and let Feng get unhooked by the third survivor, 'cause I've felt bad for her since her team were been real 4heads.

Can u guess what happened in the chat?

  • @BaldursGate2 said:

Playing bubba on haddonfield with bbq ruin undying tinkerer.

Never chased anyone more than 10 seconds, always downed them without hitting the chainsaw in a wall. Hooked everyone twice. Still lost game with only one dead, because gen speeds are fine and undying ruin is useless as dogshit by their RNG nature.

Thanks dev team, keep on the "good" work. So why should people play this instead of freddy / slinger / nurse / spirit, that can actually win games more easily? With your pace of "fixing" things, we will arrive at balance in 2040.

Start slugging. Unfortunately and survivors can cry about it if they want, knowing when to slug it's the difference between wining or losing. You need to force survivors out of gens and slugging someone you'll guarantee that at least 3 people will be off gens.

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/1864532#Comment_1864532

Really? Isn't dead zones good for her and bad for thr survivor?

Not "loop" dead zones, but literally zones that she can't physically blink 'cause the map won't let her. Or zones that'll screw your muscle memory since the hitbox is really busted and you should've either hold less or more time the power button to really blink through...

  • @Flawless_ said:

Devs why are you satisfied with the state of the Nurse? She is plagued with so many bugs that have been there for months...maybe even years? It's extremely frustrating to come out of blinks inches away from survivors only for the game to decide I wanted to hit a wall or a pallet instead. Not to mention the inconsistency of blink distances due mysterious reasons, issues with latency, etc. I don't understand the complacency when it comes to older killers, just because not many people play her doesn't mean she should be neglected to this degree. It really feels like being handicapped and regardless if I win or lose I can only play so many games before I have to switch killers due to how frustrating it gets.

Was "maining" Nurse before, then I took a break, b4 Autoheaven rework. Tried one game with her in autoheaven and BOY how many dead zones.

Every new map/reworked map is a huge shadow nerf to Nurse.

Yeah, or infinite Legion. I play Freddy myself but never found that build appealing. Nuse is totally OK since the rework.

Forever Freddy is literaly brain dead since there's nothing that the survivors can do besides try to rush before Dying Light can do any harm and I thank the heavens they've patched infinite legion 'cause my god this was one of the builds that would make me go for the Alt + F4 strat.

  • @ChurchofPig said:

The only bug with it is that the developers have said it is not supposed to work with flip flop and you've supposed to only use it after actually wiggling that amount.

Really? That's really dumb, for real, 'cause you'll either struggle off or the killer will never cross a pallet after X seconds... I actually find this perk funny.

1 2 3 4 5 6 … 10
