NOED is by far the worst perk in the game and any killer who uses it is just so bad, you shouldn't be able to win because you couldn't confirm a kill the whole match. Survivors shouldn't be punished for actually doing a good job and getting to end game - will it ever be removed or changed?

also any killer mains who reply to this defending NOED your comment is being overlooked I don't associate with negative vibes

"NOED is by far the worst perk in the game and any killer who uses it is just so bad, you shouldn't be able to win because you couldn't confirm a kill the whole match"

Woah, let me tell my boys, Monto, Otz, Tru3, Noob3, King, Scott, etc that they're BAD killers. Omg, what a revelation.

  • The ppl are calling out SWF (myself included) 'cause most of them ARE swat/seal team 6 playing as sweaty as possible. BUT. Yeah, when I play SWF I play for "shits and giggles" and most of the time we're screwing up so much for a good laught that the killer get a 3/4k on us. The whole problem isn't just SWF but it's its combination with sweaty perks and constantly information on what the killer is doing...

  • Dead Hard is the best killer perk in the game.

  • Flashlight are the most inconsistent things in the game, besides Dead Hard, sometimes I get a blind when I clearly shouldn't, and sometimes I don't when the beam is right in the killers face. Just get used to it.

  • So many times I've tried to DH in the direction of the lunge just to be exhausted, on the ground.

  • I can agree with that. Tired of doing 3-4 gens solo in a game as the other 2 (I expect one being the chased) are playing hide and seek with their shadows...

  • So, you don't want to Oni (at least) use his power optimally?

  • I play a lot of killer and If a see a original survivor sparkling, I'll hook him to get my bbc stacks and try to leave him alone. I do it for two survivors sometimes. If they're alive when the other two died, they'll walk, no problem. But if they're playing a licenced character and got the crown I'll go after them, they won't unlock it anyways.

But you know whats crazy I wouldn't have to run ds unbreakable if killers didn't wanna constantly tunnel or slug. And both ds and bt have counters don't tunnel or slug, and even if they have unbreakable its a one time use and you still get pressure from the slug because you have one less person on gens actually its 2 people off gens if you are chasing one survivor at the same time. And downing and injuring multiple survivors is optimal not tunneling one out the game it just seems like you want to tunnel with no downside if so keep it real no ones gonna hate you just say it these two perks punish anyone that tunnels. And even though this is off topic the game is actually more balanced than its ever been but its just so unfun to play as survivor. The devs have started a trend of killers with no counter play to attract players ie. (pyramid head, deathslinger, spirit). And lets mention the constant bs hits through windows and pallets which consistently happen its almost every game I cant even vault without getting hit its so unfair and pushes me awayh from this game.

"don't slug of tunnel 'cause I'm running ds+unbreakable". Yeah, seems legit, killers should be nice to the little flowers and if they see a unsafe unhook just let it go. Yeah, survivor entitlement at its finest. Why not stop killers from using PGTW and BBQ too? God forbid a killer aplying pressure in the game by getting information or regressing the gens that get done "so slowly".

DS + Unbreakable (sometimes with BT) is just uncounterable. "Oh both are one time use". Yeah, you can unbreakable, get downed again, go to the hook (if the DS isn't off) and THEN YOU GET A DS AGAIN, 60 seconds that you'll be free from the hook AGAIN, and then theres it times 4.

And to top it off, if the killer decides to let you on the ground to "not tunnel" and go search for another survivor, one of your teammates will heal you up and guess what? You now have DS+Unbreakable AGAIN, for your second hook.

Then Hex perks would be the only thing killers used, DH would give insta downs for the entire match after 3 hooks which Killers usually get, Ruin is an insane perk especially on high mobility killers making it active always would make almost impossible to fix 3 generators even if its only 150% regresion, Hexes are very powerful because they can be deactivated if you cant you should have to tone down all hexes a lot to make them on par with regular perks or make the requirements go through the roof.

And as always people forget about combinations when suggesting buffs, imagine Ruin+Surveillance, 3 Tokens DH with anything that masks your Terror Radius, Ghostface would be unbeatable.

What they really should do is make the totem spots a bit more hidden, Totems should be something you go searching actively in the usual spots not something you find in the middle of the map in open space like you do on Coldwind or other maps.

"What they really should do is make the totem spots a bit more hidden, Totems should be something you go searching actively in the usual spots not something you find in the middle of the map in open space like you do on Coldwind or other maps."

THAT'S IT! Most of the times the active totem spawns right next to a gen or a hook, or at point in the map that surely some survivor will cross. That's the BS when you use a hex perk, most of the time you can't rely on totem spawn location 'cause it will be so obvious that even a rank 20 would do the bones.

You said that you run it for "revenge". I say you run it cuz you're bad. Like you can know survivors are better than you before the match starts? Sounds like that. Its a crutch perk and should be removed from the game.

Yeah, it should, as long we say goodbye to DS.

  • Probably because SWF gen rush so hard that even the best killers get 5 gen in what, 5 to 7 minutes of game? Or maybe because when they're SWF (sometimes even not SWF) they go for potato unhooks 'cause all of them are running unbreakable +DS + adrenaline so the killer can't even "ignore" the DS? I don't know, pick your poison.

  • If she puts the trap AFTER the last gen is finished you can walk the gate.

  • @shwag said:

Survivors can't accept that they have to alter how they play to face him.

So instead of changing their play style they rather say he is boring op, takes no skill (lol) and overall complain.

Rank 4 survivor man here btw.

Same ######### as spirit. If a survivor can't loop the killer for 30 minutes the killer is "op". C'mon guys, you CAN'T have it all.

  • Freddy is, rn, a really strong killer, but just don't pay attention, survivors want to win every single game so they try to make you not play a strong killer. Play as you like with who you like.

  • Yeah, latter levels try to always go for one ramification (if you can) so the entity consumes most of the bloodweb hitting the right nods. Latter levels is a lot of planning on what to do or the bloodweb will become a sponge of BPs.

  • @MadArtillery said:

There's a tutorial? Like actually a tutorial? When did that get added. As for perks ya it does make survivors pretty one dimensional. There are differences between them like Ace having the quietest everything, Jeff being the loudest character but the devs of course never actually tell you these things in the interface.K Killersare very varied though, Much more about the power which can be extremely game changing.

Blood web is grindier than most pay to win mobile games which is certainly an impressive feat. Doesn't seem like the developers care how off-putting it is though.

Jeff is the loudest? Everytime I play Steve seems like I'm in a low-budget porn movie 'cause his moans are so loud hahahaha.

    1. Play Leatherface
    2. Try get them to all work on the same gen by hitting the gen
    3. Rev your chainsaw around to appear friendly
    4. Rev your chainsaw, turn around and take them all down in one swing
    5. Profit

    Trust issues begginig in 5...

Yeah, the crown looks kinda meh and kinda lazy design.

I've also seen some instances of people's crowns poking out of lockers which is... bad. (But also hilarious)

That's why I wish "charms" had been "accessories" instead. Then you could just put any accessory item, whether it be charms, this crown or Claudette's glasses being turned on or off, or changing their style, or maybe some bracelet, the Hammers on Kate's climbing pants, etc, in the "accessories" slot, which would have allowed much more customization imo.

Gotta love the Blendettes crouching in the map with a friggin glowing golden crown snitching them out hahahaha

  • It seems that I can't upload it here nor in youtube, is there another way that I can send the video?

  • I really don't know why so many "survivor mains" get butthurt when see NOED and JUMP to conclusions as NOED=SITTING KILLER. And I really don't care at all for all that flame. If a perk is avaible I'll use the perk. If the perk is strong, then I'll use it for sure. I've never seen a survivor who's against DS, DH, OoO, Unbreakable and now Sprintburst (98% of the matches at least someone have sprint burst). You guys cry a lot and if it were for you every match would be 4 escapes. If you want to play a game that the survivors get 99% chance of escaping go play L4D.

Thank God that I don't combo NOED with Blood Warden, I can just imagine the crying.

Yeah man, cool and all you posted a half-assed image on the forums. What you thought was him being toxic and clicking flashlights was just a dwight wanting your attention because you wouldn't go after nobody and kept kicking gens. You also used NOED... in a spirit... versing a spirit is already unfun, but going against a NOED spirit that camps generators... That means you chased no one, kicked gens for the whole match, and in the end killed all with noed... where's the fun..

And after all that you post it in the forums, claiming matchmaking was bad, even though it was perfectly normal.

Oh, so you have astonishing psychic powers and have seen the match? If you wan't I can LINK the whole match here.

I agree on the don’t be salty thing but that was not a bad matchmaking that’s how it’s suppose to be purples and reds matching lol

I started the match on green (got 2 pips on this one), but as I said before, since I've entered green ranks I've been put against teams of reds and SWF reds, now I don't care that much, 'cause I'm realy learning a lot on how to play, but when It started I had my face wiped on the floor evey game,

    Do bones, there, no NOED.

Some of the best killers in this game use NOED, the ones who don't are sheep that care about peer pressure.

Right? I mean, any hex that the killer bring is a ######### gamble 'cause today doing bones is the easiest thing in a match.

  • Guys guys, c'mon. First of all, NOED is a friggin perk, if you don't want to face it you shouldn't use ALL THE GODLIKE SURVIVOR PERKS (DS, BT, UNBREAKABLE...) ya know??? And I've been facing red ranks since I've entered green ranks (rank 12+ i think) so yes, since rank 12 I've been gen rushed in 9/10 matches, so I'll NOED the ######### out of those teams.

Secondly, I've never said that I'm a master killer in the levels of Otz, Monto or anyone, this discussion is just about it, how new/inexperienced players are thrown to 700+ hours players.

  • The real problem is, if you slug to get free from the DS you risk an unbreakable, even a tap-save. DS is too much of a security to bring to a game.

  • Guys, they really don't care. I've sent tickets, I've created a discussion, I've sent recordings of the gameplay, NOT A SINGLE RESPONSE from devs, from mods, from no one, just a big ######### you. They're professionals at shifting the blame to the player's connection, even when we PROVE that our internet IS NOT THE PROBLEM. It's sad and it will kill the game.

  • How can I know or, at least, estimate that I'm 15 meters away? I'm a "ok" huntress player and this challenge got me struggling a lot.

  • I think It's precisely 15 meters

I don't like that argument. In reality, the chases are dictated by the survivor depending on what killer you are playing. All you can do is run the strong loops in the correct direction to deny as many vaults as possible. There are some mindgames by hiding your red stain, but an attentive survivor won't fall for them often and they can harm you more than they can help you. Against good survivors, all you are doing is encouraging mistakes. It is only a handful of certain killers that ignore the loops and allow you make plays on your own.

If you go watch some of the best SWFs in the game play on twitch, you will see them 4 man out killers almost nonstop. It's not rare for them to only give up a 1k for 8+ hours in a row, and they don't use items. A 12 hook game isn't possible at all with the majority of the killer roster into teams like that. High ranking survivors will frequently run 3-4x second chance perks each, which makes tunneling/slugging/camping much less viable, even though those are basically the only strategies to snowball at high ranks. Snowballing is required, because as I mentioned earlier, there is no time to do 12 hooks in game that can last 4 minutes or less.

I mean, event Otz had a hard time against a well coordinated SWF team...

  • Look guys, the thing is, when Pop is a MUST perk in any killer when you're playing in the purple/red ranks, it's really telling something. Just saying.

  • Well, It's already an adult game isn't? I don't see a reason why we don't get guts spilling everywhere.

  • @Raven014 said:

Maybe they don't do it because they want to rank, but to tilt, as they might be tired of tryharding (It is actually really hard to maintain R1 and R2 by itself, never mind camping). It has clearly worked on you. XD

And survivors that feed campers by lingering around hooks don't help your situation either.

Not justifying it in the slightest, just maybe trying to explain it to you, as the one playing against it.

"And survivors that feed campers by lingering around hooks don't help your situation either."

THAT! As a killer (trying to main) it's frickin' obvious that if I hook one of you teammates and I see THREE of you close the hook, I'm going AFTER you, who insist in being close to the frickin' hook. It's not camping if I have 4 dumbass in the same area (believe me, that's common). I usually hook someone and go do gen patrolls or chase another one, but If the survivors are overly altruistic it's only natural that the killer will punish this playstile someway.

    in Unfair Comment by VSchmitt
  • I agree 100% baning OoO when SWF. I usually get paired with reds (even though I'm a green killer) and I don't have obsession perks, so when I get and obsession at the start of the match I can tell right away that I'm going to be facing a coordenate group. From the get go I know I'll get all kinds of fuc* and there's almost nothing I can do, even though I do my homework, don't do lenghty chases and do gen patrol, I usually get 3 gens popping out 'cause one of the team is seeing me and telling the other 3 what to do... That's really broken. Or remove OoO or buff Ghostface and Wraith (stealth killers) so hard that OoO will become obsolete. (I know that buffing killers isn't the solution, but the survivors mains doesn't care about balancing, they just want to win every single game).

  • @OBX said:

Have no fear fellow gamers.... the awesome devs by daylight intend to hide rank so nobody will ever know how horrid their matchmaking is. No player that’s played for more than about 8 minutes will ever be able to determine the ranks once their Wiley coyote super plan goes into effect. Rest easy lol

The thing is, even though they would implement this "system" it's clear when you're playing with survivors out of your league. I mean, You start a chase with one and 30s (wich is the most I expend in a chase without a hit) you hear 3 gens pop. Then you can know how fuc* you are. Seeing the rank really doesn't matter, you know when they're the real shi*. Sad tho', it's like matchmakingsuc said, I've been playing 'round 2 weeks, like him, got 'bout 152hr in the game and every night I get paired with 1-2-3k hr players.

  • Matchmaking 101.jpg

    Yeah, that seems fair.

  • @LordRegal said:

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/1298855#Comment_1298855

I agree that rank by itself doesn't matter, but the issue comes in where you, typically, run into boosted reds pairing with purples/greens/yellows to lower the killer they're against through most of the morning/early afternoon, and then suddenly after dinner it's all the good reds on. This is something I've tracked the last two times I burned out on DbD and stopped playing - I don't like there being a meta shift that's literally trackable by what time of day it is.

Matchmaking giving me the reds I run into in the morning and early afternoon are one thing, I can deal with them and have a good track record against them. If I play much later than when I'm typing this right now, I'm going to be absolutely lucky to get a brutal killer endscreen. If I'm against red ranks all day, then the stats would show I win against 50% of reds as a purple. But that's not actually indicative of where my skill level is. Which is why matchmaking is so broken.

    Matchmaking 101.jpg

As you can tell, I had the time of my life playing against these 4, totally toxic, SWF, reds. The most toxic ("RABETA") I camped the ######### out in the EGC. I got to the point that I really don't care anymore, if I know that a match will be like that (And you can tell right away when the survivor is a god in the chase and suddenly 3 gen pop) I go for the toxic (or most toxic) one and camp him. How the F** can someone improve in the game when that shi* keeps happening every fuc* night. Untill the devs fix the goddam matchmaking I'm not even willing to play killer. At least not around this time in the night. The matchmaking is killing the game for new players, and It doesn't matter how much new content is created, without new players the game will end someday.

  • You really look like someone who'd play SWF against a grey killer and do all these things while smashing His face in the ground. Yeah... Not toxic at all...

    in 'toxic' Comment by VSchmitt
  • Yeah, as you guys can imagine, I had so much fun playing agains these swf.
