U ask how? Pic doctor, let them all use calm spirit and then quick switch to Billy or whatever. U have 4 survivors running effectively 1 meta perk less the entire match
So? It's their own fault for exploiting the game, for all I care they just ######### themselves.
-
If done correctly I can hit someone who's in my back starting the animation in my "front", that's how I get the sweet sweet hit in the 360s dweebs, but it's something that you learn with time.
But, responding to you, yeah, is possible to hit in a 180º arc, if you know what you're doing. Most of the times you'll hit with the tip of the hitbox.

So you found a way to turn the tables on them (last second switch) and make your games easier... Yet You complain? This Community... Keep last second switching and punish those who use that "app" and make your games more chill.
Sounds to me like the kind of swf nerf everyone was asking for...
How is that making the game easier? Survivors SHOULD NOT know what killer they're facing before the match starts. It's THEY who're making it EASIER to play knowing what they're facing and equipping the perks to properly counter it.
-
Most of the time they do it because they screwed up a chase and have 1 minute of immortality due to DS.
-
I just dodge lobbys with P3 Claudies 'cause I don't have to deal with their #########. Killers doen't have time at all to search for ######### chameleons in the map, most of the time they're crouching and if you get sligthly near them, they'll just Sprint Burst away (yeah yeah, you'll catch them eventually, but why should I spend my precious time doing this?), so, yeah... If the lobby is full of P3 Claudies and Jakes (he's a chameleon too in certain maps - looking to you Yamaoka's) I'll get my Doc. and get constant information on them, but still is a hassle.
-
If you feel a little sassy, learn how to properly play Forever Freddy, it doen't matter if they're running OoO when the gens just don't go up :p. Most of the times I try to ignore the brain-dead OoO user so he won't get the fun he wants, as he's probably the best looper in the team, so I go after his teammates and "save the best for last".

It is not bannable, many people have been tweaking it for years. No need to worry.
https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/1448691#Comment_1448691
I wouldn't call frames over your monitors refresh rate wasted data. By having more frames rendered you get less input lag in average. I find it better to get as many frames as you can get without any heating or stutter issues in your pc. Other than that agreed, V-Sync only really effects input lag.
Don't know man, every tweak in game files can lead to a VAC, same thing with modding the color of perks, a lot of ppl do, but still might be bannable, 'cause it ain't BHRV choice, it's the steam that sees it as moding the files ergo VAC ban.
-
8 posts, I already know that either you're a jester or don't know any better. If I'm calling a Dev here is to inform other ppl who'll try this and probably get VAC banned, if you want to do it, just do, and if you get that sweet sweet VAC ban from steam, don't come here crying.
@PigMainBigBrain said:
This is like....what people with potato computers do to get "more frames"
You drop the resolution down to 33% <--- This isn't good. This just means you have a trash computer and need to upgrade your graphics card.
If your computer can barely push 20 frames on this game, its likely that your monitor can't even handle an 144hz refresh rate (and if it can, your buying priorities are in the complete ass opposite order).
Get a New GPU....get a new CPU that can handle above 100 frames, and get a monitor that can handle 144hz.
If you're on a 60Hz monitor and pushing 100 frames its literally wasted data....
Ryzen 5 3600's are decent, Nvidia 1660's are at a decent price point as well....just upgrade....that beat up rig....
Also Vsync has nothing to do with poor FPS in games unless you're running an INCREDIBLY OLD card....
Yeah, and that's exactly why a shouted for peanits (or any dev that will see it) as some ppl will try this and get ######### up in a VAC ban. Ppl should know better.
-
Play the game a couple more hours. Play as killer as well. When you face your first red ranks survivors as killer come back again and we'll see if you still want them nerfed.
-
@Peanits Before doing that, can you tell us if it is bannable? Since it needs do mess with use GameUserSettings.ini?

https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/172330/make-it-easier-for-the-last-slugged
Problem I find when I slug the last few down is them crawling off to some remote part of the map to hold the game hostage of sorts until the timer finally ends which is frustrating as you don’t get any points to sacrifice if they bleed out
The thing is, most of the times the slugged will try to get away from where he was downed to the slightly chance that they'll find the hatch, I play both sides equally, even so I like way more to play killer (kinda of a masochism nowadays), and most of the time the slugged isn't trying to be scummy, he just want that little chance for the hatch...

@DrDeepwound said:
Deerstalker should be base on killers. It was on Freddy for a long time.
Idk if it should be like that in the entire game. If you play as Oni, it would make the game 100times more easier 'cause you don't need to remeber exactly where the slugged is, just look for him... I think an "easy way out" option for the last one in the game should be a thing...
-
@Mooshroome64 said:
Agreed, especially with the silent downed survivor bug I sometimes have a last survivor that I cannot spot whatsoever. For them and the benefit of myself in similar situations as survivor, I think this would be a good feature. They could just call it 'Lose Hope' and make it award the killer the same points as a hook would.
Yeah, that bug it's the worst for a slugged, I've just played a game where I needed to slug someone to go for another down, then I couldn't hear ######### when I came back. In the end game chat the slugged asked why I didn't pick him up, saying he was in the room close the the hooked person (it was midwich so...) then I said that I couldn't hear him crying on the ground. That's really ######### up for both killer and survivor
-
SWF in red ranks are almost always composed of two Prove Thyself users (wich spread to either do 2 or 3 ppl on one gen and rush the ######### out of it) with one or two green/purple toolboxes (usually 1 BNP), with (usually) 4 DS + 2 or more unbreakables then one get a perk for information (kindred, OoO, Dark Sense), one runs spine chill + resilience to stay injuried and rush even more gens one get a good medkit so he can be a ambulance and one get a flashlight 'cause, why not?
Then they 3 man bodyblock (when I'm playing against SWF I try to get at least 2 injuried before downing someone so I can at least have just 2 bodyblocking) or sabotage the nearest hook (sometimes).
And there we go, by the time you get your first hook, 2 gens will pop, almost always, any survivor injuried will be healty again 'cause coms. Only one will try the rescue and other 2 will sit on gens (if you get in a chase, one get the rescue, one sit on a gen and another go for the chase, who'll need to strike 2 times again and repeat all the bloody process).
Yeah, SWF is no fun at all in red ranks.

This again??? Also Otz won that game so I fail to see the point of this thread. If every gen could be done at that speed then it’d be a problem but 🤷🏻♂️
Again, STOP comparing OTZ to an average palyer, if every killer in the game plays it like Otz, barely no survivor would have a single chance. It's like balancing LoL around Faker, or Counter Strike around Coldzera.
-
To sum up, discordance T1 will update in 8s (includes the sound notification and aura reading) so every 8 seconds you'll know that are 2 or more ppl on that gen. Discordance T3 will update in 12 seconds, so imagine you're in a chase, then discordance pop up.
If it's T1, every 8 seconds you'll get a sound notification and the aura reading, so you can end chase (either by downing the survivor or just letting him go) and go to that gen.
Now imagine discordance T3, It's 12 seconds, so by the time you cut the chase and go to the gen, it could still be yellow (aura reading) but no one will be there, so you let the chase go for "nothing".
4 seconds doesn't seems that much but can really hurt you in the long run. Also, as @Volfawott said, Otz made a video on it, it's really informative.

My favorite is when you go for a grab, it locks you in the grab animation, the survivor's continuing to do the gen until completion, and then the survivor gets booted out the match. Except sometimes these days, they don't even lag out, they just suddenly get off the gen after 3-5 seconds and then start running.
It's just not worth going for grabs anymore. Except the alternative of the survivor blowing up the gen and getting off of it right after, giving them a janky ass animation and a bright light in your face, isn't much better.
I never go for grabs, if I see someone sitting on gens or totems I just hold m1 and go for the lunge. A grab is almost always rolledback in the server so you get the animation and - poof - the survivor is running in front of you. Yeah, dedicated servers don't let you get grabs anymore.

By chance is anyone else experiencing this, or is this a known issue? Lately when I pkay Dwight and attempt to use a flashlight, his arm will be pointed at the ground instead of in front of him.
It's because the Little Baby Dwit is so creeped out by the presence of the killer that his arm just go full dead. Jokes aside, Yeah, I've been getting bug with little dwit for a while, did some reports, hope they fix it soon, it's annoying as ######### =/

Don't read, don't care, do bones. Sheesh, imagine wasting 12 seconds of a gen rush to do some bones.

This video shows me those survivors suck without their 2nd chance perks and BNPs.
They couldn't loop for #########. One of them even stood at a pallet instead of continuing to loop. Not only that, they also failed a mind game standing at that pallet.
They DS'ed twice when they should have saved it.
They tried to bait swings with BT. Which was blatantly obvious they had BT. That just fed Otz stacks and told him what they were running.
They made terrible saves.
They stepped in traps. They didn't even disarm 1.
I don't think they even tried looking for ruin. What if he had noed or was running Devour Hope?
They even stream sniped him and they still got their ass's kicked.
IMO this video doesn't show that gen speeds are BS, which personally I think they are. Or that killers are powerful because Otz is up there on the food chain. This video does show me that survivor can be crappy players and still escape by stacking 2nd chance perks and rushing gens. Granted they didn't get away but what if this was a killer with significantly less playtime than Otz? They probably would have been crushed by this team.
The thing is, you can't just compare a "normal" killer player with Otz's TRAPPER. He's like, if not the best, one of the best Trappers in the entire game. And yes, the survivors in that game were potatoes, they're clinging so much in their crutch perks and gen rush that when they face a god killer that's what happens.
Most of the players, as you said, would get rekt by that team, not because they're bad, but because they're not Otz. Gen speeds are busted as a #########, and we all know it, and most of the teams will have someone runnin Prove Thyself, and sometimes another one running leader so they can swarm up and heal an injured teammate in a blink to, guess what, gen rush another generator.
And what sums up the entire thing is, you don't really need to be a good player to win as a survivor. If you know to hold down M1 and press spacebar, that's it. You don't need to be a god looper if someone in your little SWF team is, you can just sit on gens and let other players do the dirty work with the killer.
-
Even their beloveds "Fog Whisperers" (at least Otz, Puppers and Tru3) are complaining about gen speed, Billy rework on PTB (I don't even play Billy guys, so hold your horses), gen speeds, the power of a coordinated SWF team (when Tru3 said that SWF is busted and even Otz admits that some teams you just can't hope to do something) but, guess what, the massive playerbase IS survivor (4 to 1, to be precise).
Yesterday or the day before, I remember that someone said in Tru3's chat that just playing killer is stressful, and He acknowledged it and said that it was a real problem, when you don't play something that you want (play as killer, in this case) 'cause you know no matter what It's going to be stressful.
I'm playing mostly Oni (I get the power bug every single game and need to cut a healty survivor to use my Blood Fury so...) and he can TRY to do something against overly altruistic teams, but lately all I get is teams with leader, BNP, Prove Thyself and all the crutch perks like Little D. Strike + Unbreakable, AdrenaWIN etc...
So, yeah, is stressful just to go in a lobby as a killer, the Devs apparently don't listen do part of the playerbase (and to the Fog Whisperers in some extent), and time after time we get unnecessary killer nerfs (the complaints about Billy were his add-ons and now he'll get nerfed to the ground) while the little pearls that are the survivors get a perk that gives you unbreakable + "BT" if you're cursed by a hex, so survivors can continue not givin a single ######### about ruin (that functions in some killers that have good gen pressure, or legion that can annoy the ######### out of you) while get a freebie "get up by yourself".

Nope, I record all of my games with prompt pinging an IP to monitor fails in the connection, and STILL they just ignored every report or thread in this forum. So it wasn't for a lack of evidence.

It's just another thing on a pile of things that take away from the fun factor, with the annoying one being the massive grind just to feel like I can start playing the game without being handicapped due to the perk/bp system. This feature alone would be alright if it wasn't just an accumulating feeling. This game is fun as hell, but it needs so much attention to feedback because there's way too many unfun features.
That I can agree, I got "better" as a killer and survivor at the moment that I've unlocked the right perks, that's sad 'cause you NEED those perks to try to do something in the game...
-
It's just tombstone meyers, c'mon, get over it, we've all been there and it's kinda of a funny build 'cause it can totally backfire if the team don't give him full stacks (it's painfully long to get to tier 3 with that build).

Yeah, I've once gone against a hag that camped and tunneled me 'cause I've loped her for one gen, then done her ruin totem while I was injured, then looped her for more 3 gens. In the chat he/she told me that I was toxic (for looping/doing the ruin totem) so he/she said that she/he"destroyed me" even tho' the other 3 survivors escaped the match (that's almost a "solo winning" since they were free to do gens thanks to me). Some killers are just entitle as some survivors.

-
Not, it's really not. But as BigBrainMegMain said, the better you get, less you'll need to use it. Don't get me wrong, there's some situations that even the most proficient killer main would need a Noed 'cause the rush is real, but mostly you'll percieve it as a wasted perk slot.

Yeah, like grabs feel now right? You got a perfect grab and, wait! Rollback a little bit and it's cancelled!
-
"U want a meta change U change meta". So, if the killer want to survivors don't run crutch perks, he must stand in a corner untill all 5 gens are done, then He'll never slug, camp o tunnel anyone.
Ok, thanks for the insight.
-
I've literaly spawned right in front of a totem, more than once. Totem spawning next to gens or hooks is dumb too, it's not nearly hidden. The risk with hex perks is that you might lose the perk not that the perk will literally throw itself in the face of the first survivor.
-
What I don't understand is why, both survivors and killers, can't just chill out for a bit and enjoy that we can have a 520% bonus BP in the game. What I see, most of the matches, is that when there's 5 cakes, both killers and survivors get sweaty as a ######### and I'm like "Why???".
Now I'm playing killer and most of the time trying to farm those sweet sweet BP with the survivors (when they understand what I am doing).
-
Oh I can't escape every match even with second chances perks and busted gen speed 'cause the killer know how to end chases and pressure gens.
If someone runs to me to suicide you can bet you'll slug the ######### out of him to make he endure the 4 minute bleed out. If you try to destroy the fun of other 4 peaple just because you can't stand a pvp match where someone is better than you, just go play a casual game.
-
Neither the killer nor the unhooked are faulty on that one, just the ######### WGLF who's unhooking for the farm... I've been there too, with a ######### unhooking me in the face of the killer without BT, I just stay there a let the killer down me so he can't get a stack on WGLF. Don't blame killers for ######### survivor behaviour.
-
IDK how the actual ######### can someone think that "pop is a game changer". First of all, most of the killers will run pop just because the gen speed is dumb and you really need something to TRY slowing it. Second, you NEED TO HOOK a survivor for it to work, and it works in ONE GEN only. Third, by the time you get your first hook, probably on or two gens will pop, no matter how quick the chase was (not counting on potato chases). Fouth, again, after the first hook, you'll get to pop ONE gen, then there's probably on or two more being worked (if the survivors are not potatoes, one will go for the unhook and the other two will sit on gens, if they're SWF you're screwed at this point). Fifth, after the first pop, HERE WE GO AGAIN, CHASE-> 1HIT -> CHASE -> DOWN -> HOOK -> POP, and guess what, another one or two gens gone by that time...
Pop is NOT a game changer, is, at max, a perk to TRY slowing the game down. And when you NEED to run a perk so the game won't fly by your eyes, you know that something is wrong. I would love to run another perks but if I don't run POP, corrupt, thrilling, surge, ruin etc, I'll get a 5 minute game, even if I can end chases quickly.
By the way, the devs already acknowledged that gen speed is ######### Up...

I would like being able to place my hex totem. I feel like there's too many instances where it spawns right where the survivors are or in an open area. It'll most likely get destroyed and you can't afford to spend the entire match defending it.

We need to stop focusing on band-aid fixes, and let the devs implement this new "early game objective" thing.
Edit: also, skillchecks aren't hard. At all. Any survivor with some experience will just hit all of them.
As I said in another discussion, survivors need to do gens, unhook and heal (for the core mechanics) and, if they're smart and not filthy gen rushers, they'll do some totems (or just runt about NOED in this forum, go figure...)
Killers need to micromanage the entire ######### game, to a point that's stressfull just to join a match. You really need to plan on what to do before the match starts to TRY to get 1 gen popping in the first minute instead of two or three.
Survivors need a second mandatory task on the game. Messing with gen speed won't change a thing, It'll just create another problem.
-

I really wish the devs had just let the levels go up to any number of digits to avoid the people who don't seem to understand that devotion is just a helpful way of letting the players know the xp per level is resetting. So many keep thinking it's more than a hundreds place.
But what I meant is, doesn't matter a lvl reset, since the shards reward ratio/exp doesn't change no matter what level you are (roughly 0,0714 shards/exp point) so "devotion" is just a gimmick so you don't go level 101, 102 and on...
-
FiX tUnEllYiNg and CAmpING. Yeah man. Yeah. 'Cause killers still should be punished after a minute that a survivor was dumbly unhooked.
-
Midwich + OoO = Immortality.
Unless you're a really good nurse, or if you're a hag and the OoO gets near/steps on a trap, you'll NEVER get him in this map. It isn't about being good at chases, is just the architecture of the map that screws you over. Scott called it one or two days after the map release I think...

-
Play as killer, offer a shroud, profit.
-
Survivors need to do gens, bones and at least one or two need to be good at chases. Sometimes healing too (holding M1 and knowing how to press spacebar). Done! Win!
Killers need to micromanage so much in a match that is really stressfull just playing Killer.
1- You need to control the chase time to be optimal.
2- You need to apply pressure on gens.
3- You need to keep track of hooked survivors so you don't get DS on your face.
4- You need to try make survivors drop good pallets and then you need to brake them.
5- You need to have good map control and try to herd the survivors into a three gen scenario because after the first chase most likely one or two gens will pop.
6- You need to be good at finishing chases as fast as you can, but most of the times you'll just suck it up 'cause of the rng that spawns a T-L wall next to a jungle gym that leads to the killer shack and so on...
7- You need to deal with DS, OoO, Unbreakable, Adrenaline in all the games and probably you'll get a adrenaline + DS in two or three survivors AND DS + Unbreakable in, at least, two of them.
And there's so much more to say, I didn't even talk about how to each killer needs to manage his power to not be his downfall.
-
In the paper, Nurse. But with all the bugs and the ######### astronomical skill cap, Spirit is way easier (than Nurse, She's still have a high ceiling skill cap) to learn...
-
He's in a spot that, besides you needing to be good at ending chases and cutting loops, you need some luck on maps too... I just find him really fun to play but sometimes it's very upsetting how the match goes even with good pressure and quick ending chases...
-
Monto is a Goddam good killer, but he doesn't "main" anyone... I really enjoy his streams but we're discussing someone that really dominates the killer he's playing.
(No Power and Ninja Bam Bam are GOLD).
-
Yeah, I run kindred 'cause most of the time I'm soloing... Man I feel really depressed. It's hard to see that you're doing gens, someone is hooked and then 2 survivors are crouching in the corners of the map too afraid to do something. Btw I play in red ranks so... No "newbies". That's just sad.
