At this point we do deseve better. We've gone almost 2 years without a real event because they're "focusing on the health of the game" but all we get is spit on our faces. I wish I didn't buy the license and get a refund. I'm finding myself playing less and less which honestly I can't be bothered with it. If they make a millions of dollars in the game and can't fix bugs before a huge patch theres no defending them.
-
Big oof. Where you here for the bidding of kin and how the killer was literally unplayable? But they couldn't fix it because they were on vacation :(. How about link sets? People got scammed. Now if they own a single piece of the Jill set they can't use it without buying a head which is the same as the default one. Theres no excuse for them theyre not a small indie company they make millions. Whats the point of having a ptb if its gonna be filled with bugs?what about the console and low graphics pc users? Like seriously man at this points its a joke.
-
Yup this is why the auto ban system shouldn't be implemented. Its going to punish people who use different play styles. But the devs are just gonna go with "well shouldn't have played toxic"lol this is why its getting harder to enjoy this game. Never listen to the community.
-
At least lower the price down or change the appearance like 4$ for a head piece that looks EXACTLY like the default one you kidding me? This is why I feel like dbd is going down hill.
-
He's weak tbh. He's not too bad like trickster but definitely in need of some buffs. My buffs would be 1. Increase whip range. 2. Increase zombie movement speed for every tier. 3. Remove the speed boost survivors get when you first infect them. They get 3 free sprint bursts per chase if you infect them.
-
Only 1 second chance perk per game. Meaning dead hard,bt,ds,adrenaline can't stack.
-
Hoping myers tbh. Trapper would be nice too.
-
Spirit has counterplay.
-
Twins can be fun to play as but they almost always tunnel or camp.
-
I wonder who will be next
-
Who? Is that even a killer in the game?
-
There's nothing scary about trickster. Killers should be scary.

Sure, the current counterplay is hope the first chase lasts long enough to finish all 5 gens and leave the first hooked person to die.
Not even close to what I said. But sure keep telling yourself that.
-
Yeah solo que can be frustrating. But I will say solo queuing made me a better looper. I don't have to rely on swf and comms to be actually good at the game. I can carry my own weight. Most of the time killers will give up chases against me and go after the baby meg.

Dopamine hits hard when watching panda

There's counterplay against spirit. The thing is though people will say "1v1 challenge!!!11" but they don't seem to understand that this is a 1v4 game. 1v1 proves nothing. The only things that spirit needs is and indication when she phases thats all. Ive escaped spriirts using counterplays such as double backing, hiding scratch marks around corners, regular looping, slow vaulting etc. But they will still say "noooo!! Thats not counterplay you only went against a bad spirit!!!"
-
Depends on the ranks tbf.

I might main him for a while until I start seeing names like "step on me uwu"

just forget about it that @Unifall is better than tournament player that in @ScottJund spirit challenge video , where he show all counterplay didn't work but it's work magically on @Unifall survivor so he must be top 0.1% global
I guess so. If its that impossible to escape or loop a spirit. Which I've done in the past but let me guess they were a "bad" spirit lol. Ive already told you in the past a 1v1 doesn't prove anything just that you'll buy your team mates time for gens. But nah you need approval from someone else to think differently. And thats ok I guess.
-
Not until every killer is an m1 killer lol.

Huntress is easily looped? Are you kidding me right now? Her hatchets are great at stopping loops it’s just that she actually offers a chance for survivors to apply their skill to unlike Spirit.
Shes 110% and slows down when she raises her hatchets yes she's easily looped. Unless you're going for the obvious pallet drop or vault. Thats why she's never played in tourneys. Thing is though spirit has counterplay you just refuse to accept. Only thing spirit needs is a cue when she phases.

Huntress gives plenty of information to survivors, you can clearly see her lifting up a hatchet, there's a dinging noise when her hatchet is fully charged, you can hear her put her hatchet back in her belt, and she literally has a freaking lullaby you can hear from meters away, yet she's still a very strong killer. All of these cues give survivors reasonable counterplay and it doesn't butcher Huntress in any way, so she's the definition of a strong but fair killer.
She's ok not as strong as gunslinger though. Thats why people avoid playing huntress. Usually shes easily looped. She has a lullaby of 40m I already know she's close and ready to shift w. Her hatchets are easily dodged, you can bait a hatchet at the window or pallet, I know when to dodge when I hear the cue. She can be a weak killer if you know how to loop. But she does give alot of information as well. And yeah if you play her alot or main her you can destroy survivors thing is though that requires alot of time. But thats any killer. imo I don't see alot of huntress in red ranks.
-
Only thing she needs is the standing still to go away or a cue when she's phasing thats all. Other than that she's fine.

Demo isn’t a weak killer at all…
You don’t know if she has recovery add ons because you never can tell when she starts phasing if her power is back so that is irrelevant.
If you see tier lists hes usually b or c tier. But you cant deny that he gives wayyy to much information to survivors. If he didn't he'd be way stronger. And thats the point some people are trying to make about killers. You shouldn't be able to know every little thing a killer is doing.
Of course you can tell if she has recovery add ons. If you notice that she's phasing often in chases then you already know what add ons she's using. A good spirit will always phase when they have the chance. So if they're using recharge add ons then you'll definitely be able to tell. But its up to you to adapt to the killer.
-
I used to play nice when I started to play the game. So no proxy camping, slugging or tunneling. The survivors were given a higher chance to escape. And when they did I was usually met with "ez" or worse. Survivors have a huge ego than killers imo.
-
Survivors just want everything served up in a plate and brought to them at this point lol. Look at demo hes considered weak killer because of all the information he gives. You know when he teleports, when he lands a hit, when he's gonna shred even when he damages a teleporter. Too much information for one side. Spirit is fine tbh. The only thing I'd change is stand still mindgame. And if you play killer you'd know right away what add ons a killer is using. Spirit for example if she phasing often that means she got recharge add ons or if she got speed add ons you'll know right away if she catches to you quicker than usual. But thats any killer you'll know what add ons their playing playing if you yourself play killer. You shouldn't be able to know what add ons or perks either side is using thats the point.

Spirit players most of the time are running addons at any rank, this makes those tiles a lot less safer. If she uses her phase in short bursts around them she can still easily get a good hit on the survivor.
Double backing and crouching are not good strategies unless you are up against a spirit who is still new to the game. It isn't even that hard to avoid this as spirit, you can easily just un-phase or listen to their breathing. It really doesn't take that much, just turn your headphones up.
Slow vaulting is not a counter though, it may confuse a spirit and make her make a mistake, but that is not a counter. if the spirit is using her power very well, in short bursts, she will almost always have her power ready so you will not be able to loop her that long. The spirit making a mistake is not counterplay either. Slow vaulting is still just the survivor guessing what the spirit will do during her phase.
Dropping pallets early is the only somewhat decent thing you can do against her because it forces her to guess as well, but that itself isn't necessarily a counter to her phasing, as she can just break the pallet and continue the chase.
Slow vaulting or doubling back might work against an inexperienced spirit player, but not at the high ranks. A spirit who even somewhat knows what she is doing can easily deal with this. Even if it works, it is not counterplay as you are just guessing. That's all it is with spirit, guessing.
And please, I know deathslinger has counterplay.
I dont understand you mate. You basically said counters to spirit and still refuse to accept it. This is why I mentioned that it didn't matter if I listed counterplays because people will just say yeah that works on her well but thats not counterplay. The point looping any killer is so your team mates can finish the gens. Its a 4v1 not a 1v1. Theres no point in continuing a conversation if you're not willing to at least acknowledge that she has some counterplay. The only thing I believe she needs fixing is the stand still mind game. That way you know when she's phasing.

Well allow me to break down why the listed "counters" you just brought up and rectify my "lazy excuse".
- You didn't elaborate on the pallets, but I assume you meant slow vaulting them like windows, but you can be heard vaulting them and the spirit can just whip back around to smack you.
- Doubling back is useless against any decent spirit since she can literally hear your breathing and/or footsteps. All you are doing is just walking into her, this is not a counter.
- Slow vaults can be heard no matter what and a spirit player can use her phase-walk to catch you, and these are also very predictable as well. This is not a counter.
You didn't even try to defend and explain your argument.
It depends on the tiles. If its a good loop like a jungle gym the spirit has to guess which way youre vaulting certain loops like tl walls are always tricky but you can definitely confused her.
Double backing and crouching are always a good strat. Its been proven again and again that it works not every spirit is this pro e sports spirit. Its a good way to counter her whether you think so or not.
Idk why you mentioned slow vaulting twice. If she has her power theres a chance she's gonna catch up to you. When she doesn't have her power you can loop her pretty well since she's 110%. Plus vaulting and slow vaulting back will confuse her.
There's also dropping pallets early or baiting the pallet by making her think you're standing in it.
It works for me. Ive gone against red rank spirits and strategies like this have helped me in the past. Let me guess you also don't think gunslinger has counterplay too?

Such as? At least list some counterplays before making a comment like this, too many people just say "she has counterplay" and give no examples.
And before you do, I am just going to let you know that she does not have counterplay. There have been several forum posts describing why. tl;dr she has no counterplay because you cannot react to her phase walk, even if you knew when she was phasing, there is no counter to something you can't react to. Whatever you do is just guessing.
Likewise for people to say she has counterplay and don't elaborate.
Same thing with people who say she doesn't have counterplay. I could list all the counterplay she has with pallets, double back, slow vaults etc but people like yourself will never change their mind. Theres not point in talking to someone like yourself if you already said "she does not have counterplay". To me thats just a lazy excuse.
-
She has counterplay people just hate using their head lol.
-
She has counter play get used to it.
-
"There's no counterplay" lmao
-
Only problem i have with wraith is his all seeing add on. I don't think he needs it hkenstly and should be reworked other than that he's fine. You can still loop him but wraith requiring no skill? What a joke. Thats what happens when you can't bully wraiths anymore.
-
Imagine thinking SWF takes as much skill as nurse lol. All you do is hold M1, loop the God loops, pre drop unsafe pallets, and swift W to the other side of the map. You can't compare survivor and killer skills because killers will always take more skill than survivors. Looping does require skill and flashlight saves but not that much. Also good solo players require more skill than SWF imo because you pull your own weight unlike SWF which get carried mostly with comms. Both SWF does need some adjusting im not sure what but it does.
-
Most are trash tbh only ones that are played often are Noed, ruin, undying and sometimes devour. After counter force gets added no totems will exist.
-
Every time I wanna play dbd and read black water swamp I die a little inside
-
I really enjoy blight and huntress atm both are strong and fun to play but takes a while to get those flicks.
-
BBQ is one of the most balanced perks in the game imo. You get rewarded by hooking a survivors and get blood points. Unless your team is constantly going down its a decent perk.
-
People in general will quote them like the Bible and won't have their own opinions until x person says so lol. People shouldn't go by what x person says in general but the only thing spirit needs is her stand still mind game to go away. There's counterplay videos on how to loop her better maybe instead of going by what x person says do your research or experience it.
-
I like how much effort you put into this instead of most discussions just being "this takes no skill" "this is op". It is very well written and sums up the spirit discussions. I'm sure you would enjoy this @odra
-
As killer I go through it till the end even if I'm getting slapped around by the survivors.
As survivor though when the killer sacrifices 2 survivors and there's still 5 gens or qhen there's DCs.
-
Idk man seeing those survivors run in a straight line and throwing pallets in front of you shows how inexperienced they might be. But nice as long as you enjoy him. Ive tried him and in my opinion slinger and huntress are more optimal than trickster. Hes just not exciting to play as when you have those 2. The only thing going for him might be his terro radius but even slinger has the upper hand in that field as well.
-
I kille all of them equally except for maybe baby megs. Idk what it is about baby megs but they always do things that make me laugh. Like dropping pallets when they think I'm chasing them across the map, hide in obvious view, always crouching behind a tree, and just sprint bursting in a circle lol.
-
Against potato survivors hes an ok killer I have more fun with slinger though. Hes not viable at the top level though. But playing trickster is like going through the 5 stages of grief. You are in denial when people tell you hes a terrible killer, once you start seeing his power is weak against survivors you start showing anger, then you bargain with the dbd gods to give you a win and you'll be the nicest killer on your next match, then once you get looped and t bagged flash light clicked you start getting depressed and finally acceptance thats he is bad lmao.
-
Wait so let me get this straight if you invest time or main a killer you will become better than those who only casually play that killer?
-
Probably the new survivors voices like elodie and yun jin. Also hill billy's cry when you rev like what. I had to stop playing him because of it.

lol i used to main spirit but incase someone is seeing tournament and keep making excuse, even tournament player cant loop spirit. as long as you can loop spirit for 2 or 3 gens ? please prove against good spirit and accept the challenge. right now you keep making excuse but no proof
You just keep going in circles man. Its getting boring. 1v1 isn't gonna prove anything. You yourself should know what its like playing against good teams and the tactics they use. But if you're just gonna keep crying the same thing over and over again then there's no point in changing your mind. But keep following what x person says because its always true. Come on man.

Okey bro if you accept challange i will join you as teammate. I wanna see how much you will help. If killer is chase me i will do my best and if she is not, i will do gens or other survivor stuffs. And we can find 2 teammates too. I think that will not be problem for @ScottJund 4 v 1 challange. I really wanna see and learn your loop skills againts her. I wanna learn, then i will stop hate Spirits.
I dont know how good of a looper you are though here's the thing I dont know if you'll end up throwing the match. But honestly at this point its just getting tiring responding. Take care buddy. Go watch tournaments and maybe that will change your mind. Think for yourself.
