the devs do not favor one side above the other.
they did that in the past (resulting in survivors being ridiculously strong back in the day - which is what @CrowFoxy referred to), but they have learned from that mistake.
survivors have received multiple, much needed, nerfs and killers some buffs that really helped the game. its in the most balanced and healthy state it has ever been - with survivors still being the power role btw.
in case you are wondering why the devs focussed on survivor nerfs rather than killer nerfs lately, i'll just link you a couple of videos of how the game was back in the day.
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Q1fkX3H84SE&t=10s
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=R98e-Y4Lu8w
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XNEqKQLkDCU
(this one shows 2 things: sabotage back in the day and how bad the survivors played, which allowed killers to actually catch them and win the game. if they were as optimal as they are now, they'd have been literally untouchable)
Thank you. These are the exact Videos I was gonna link.

Activate your brain just for a second and tell me how people played when any unsafe unhook gave you WGLF stacks. Exactly, you had every few matches a moron just unhooking for his stacks and throwing the match
There is no need to be rude.

Edit: Made the second post into an area for "Bite Sized" Legion updates! Kinda a stepping stone for bigger changes!

I was hoping that the injuring of the survivor on the 3rd FF hit (during one FF) would keep the rush feel going... I though 4 different survivors might be a little to hard
ok, Maybe not actually be able to repair, but having it appear that you are. Then you might lure other survivors over to FF hit them.
I dunno, just spitballing ideas
Naw man I get it. I'd prolly be more behind it if Devs hadn't said no to any disguise Killer ever.

Nope, sounds like you're playing a different game then I am. You're either A, a killer main with no surivor exp, or a SWF only player.
HI! Would you like to see how DBD was back in the day to understand why it seems like Survivors get alot of nerfs or would you rather just keep your silly bias?

@GennyFromTheBlock said:
Greetings,
I'm Ms. Genny from the Block.
I don't like the looping strategy that Survivors result to in order to evade a killer. It really feels "toxic" cuz it's silly that a horror game has you running in circles around broken pieces of buidlings/structures (jungle gyms).
I feel like the Devs should remove the scratch marks if a Survivor wins a chase. From what I understand, when you "win" a chase as a Survivor, you are able to break line of sight and get away from the killer for a certain amount of time.
Once a Killer engages in another chase or "finds" you again, then the scratch marks can come back.
I really want Survivor gameplay to move away from the looping. It's difficult for new players to understand it and that's why your entire team can be potatoes who get downed in 10 seconds or one player is able to skillfully loop a Killer who refuses to concede.
Thanks!
You realize alot of the times that Killers will find the survivor in the first place with scratch marks? Remove them till a chase starts? That's really dumb. That would be basically giving every Killer Legions Nerf of not being able to see scratch marks in FF. No. A million times no. Survivors would be able to run anywhere they want and have free reign. This is a really really bad idea.
-
@LordGlint said:
It really depends on the killer and the loop. Hag doesnt have to deal with loops at all, since a single trap will instantly kill a loop and force a survivor to leave it or get hit. Legion on the other hand... your pretty much just running in circles until the inevitable pallet stun. While the new map and the badham rework make most loops pretty unsafe, and therefore the pallets are playable, maps like bloodlodge that have a field of super simple loops that the survivor can clearly see over are just dull. Unlike Badham, you pretty much HAVE to break these pallets.
This is one reason people are relying on entire loadouts on Plague and Legion for game slowdown. They know theyre going to have to break pretty much every pallet on the map to get to do anything alot of the time. Areas with windows that can be mindgamed offer decent counterplay, but its the super simple loops with just a pallet thats just mindnumbing.
Can I add that as Legion, this can happen even if you hit FF.
-
It's prolly cause you are playing Hag. Go play Wraith or someone like that for a bit. I think you will notice it.

I guess it's how you want to look at it...
If Survivor 1 is unhooking Survivor 2 and the killer is in the general radius of the hook to proc BT on to Survivor 2, and the killer is waiting for the unhook already back at the hook to down someone (a problem I've seen with this game since I've started playing). If Survivor 1 is hurt should Survivor 2 (the one on the hook initially that will have BT procced) take a hit for him so it's not just an instant cheap shot? I think it should be allowed. I guess how are you supposed to actually used borrowed time if not for helping the unhooking go as safely as possible?
I suppose, but alot of the time it happens that I hear the unhook, come back and the Unhooked guy (The one that would be getting "Tunneled") Will get in front of me to body block me from the other. Its not "Oh he got in the way at the last moment" it's "I know you can't down me so imma get in your way even though you arnt tunneling me!"

The world's leading Legion advocate main and I were both just discussing this. I'd love it all immensely, he could be something really special. Fake windows though seems a bit much or maybe unviable., Depends on map and if the survivors have decent memory but a fun addition nonetheless!
Hello! I am the world's leading Legion advocate! Thread in Feedback proves it.

To be honest, I don't want this in game. The movie was weak on it's own, and I feel that it'd be weak in game as well. The Devs even mention that there will be no disguise killers in any update.
I'd rather have Slender or a FNaF killer first, tbh.
Your ability to see potential killer options is a great thing though.
Slender or FNAF? BLEH XD

@PapaBearEnigma said:
Yes! 100% Agreed.
I think it should work regardless of being in the actual Terror Radius or not. It should be physical radius of the killers position, proximity of the killer (whether in stealth/cloaked or not). The radius of Borrowed Time working without the Terror Radius should be the average (by killers) Terror Radius cast in meters. Which I believe is 32 meters.
I believe it should ignore Terror Radius therefore completely ignoring Oblivious status effect. The reason I think it should ignore stealth killers is because it's just another mechanic that can be abused. Borrowed Time exist in my opinion to prevent tunneling. That's what it should do every time.
Or to let you Body block for the guy that got you off the hook. (Which isnt how you are meant to use it)

Just remember anyone that is nostalgic for the Old Legion. They were not as good as you remember them, just cause New Legion is crippled. We need something NEW that keeps that Rush down Joy!

Glorious!
I just expirienced my first ever multiple survivor downing in the basement! Is this why you Leatherface mains exist? For the ecstatic feeling that it is to down multiple people? :D
I managed to get a survivor hooked downstairs and to my surprise after a rather extended chase which I had to give up since he looped close to where the basement spawned. (It had already been long enough for the survivor and his rescuer to have escaped) I turn into the shack to see one had just started coming upstairs. I instantly started to rev up the chainsaw and he turned tail and headed back down (Bwuahahaha) and as I turn the corner in the final steps theres 2 survivors! I start swinging! 1st instantly downed other tries to juke me further towards the back of the basement! Thats when i realized I was wrong.. It was not 2 survivors but 3! The fool dared to touch my chest and had his back turned to me! Caught in the atrocious act and his buddy had steered my right to him! I took a last final wide turn and got both the THIEF and the one who had unintentionally led me to him. Then 1, 2, 3. On tho hooks they went.
Long story short. No one escaped that trial. And normally I let the last survivor live if im having that good of a game. But I couldnt do it. Something came over me. Found the hatch and closed it and the rest was history.
And I was planning on playing Trapper that game till 3 of the 4 brought toolboxes. (Ive recently discovered how fun it can be to use Franklin's Demise and only have it on Leatherface) I hadnt felt like that in a trial in a loooong while. My heart couldnt take it so I had to share on this forum before calling it a night.
Yeah Long Post
SorryNotSorry lol
One more thing that I love.... When KI shows me that person in that locker over there... and they forget I can open lockers in FF. Makes me so happy

I never thought about that, if they did that it would actually make him what I want and I already love doctor. Make the mirage come walking up with a heartbeat only that survivor can hear? Gives me chills..
and maybe even fake lunge at you!
-
@BearJaw said:
I would also like to put forward that mimic is a base line term for what I mean. Changing perception is the true end game there. A killer like doctor but not as weak and reliant on strange add-ons. Making you see things that aren't there or may not be. Maybe hearing a phantom heartbeat like that plauge perk, false messenger or something? I think the idea could have real merit and not a just a mimic. But the idea of the mimic extends so far beyond making you look like a survivor.
I hope they make Doctor's illusions move when they update him!
But I get what you mean more now! That's pretty cool!

I'm holding a survivor, can't use my chainsaw, I'm just a big yellow target. Oh the horrified sprinting away as they realise I'm what I'm using 😆

I've loved reading these forums for quite some time now. I've seen so many fantastic ideas, even between the sarcasm and toxicity. I was sitting here and a brainstorm kicked up, so I thought I'd run it by you. As a disclaimer, I'm not expecting it to be a reality, just had a thought is all.
So I love the idea of a killer who can change perception or more basically, mimic. Now we all know that as fun as it could be it realistically wouldn't work very effectively. SWF would year it apart, hell, even a decent solo team could see through it. So, why not make it a mode?
It would be an interesting prospect wouldn't it. A new model, with a new model specific killer. Again, a mountain of work for something like that, I fully understand the implications of it. I just love the idea. Full solo only with KYF for the groups who want some ridiculous fun, without the BP or level gains.
With all the recent talk of old Pennywise, it got me to thinking of a killer who could mimic other's and it is a fascinating possibility. There are a lot of games on say steam that have this "who's the killer mentality" but none have done it really fantastically that I've personally played.
So as a test run, I thought, why not Legion? I began to think of an arena of sorts, an indoor area with objectives. Find this, do that, they are mostly basic objectives that can be thought of later. All the "survivors" are legion and their different skins, with one being the legitimate killer. Now objectives must be completed in a timely fashion and require you to buddy up amongst so out of six or more players, someone will have the killer with then. When the choose to strike is their own choice.
The problem I keep running into is how does that happen? Is it a DBD-classic chase? Maybe an animation? What does the killer have to do to kill the person? What prevents the survivors from just standing together? Do the survivors turn into extra killers when killed? How do you prevent snowballing? Many, many questions.
Hence why a brainstorm that I pose to the forums. Hypothetically ofcourse, how would you make this game mode function, and would you find such a mode enjoyable? Who knows, maybe such a thought process can help the devs in any number of their own questions.
I'll sleep on it for now, but I think it has a potential to be very exciting, buy possibly frustrating. How to prevent that I wonder.. just another question.
I really wish this was a thing. But Devs have said they will NOT make a mimic Killer. I doubt they would wanna add another game mode. Sorry man.

Hex perks are already broken. This would make it a gamble for the survivor potentially wasting an entire perk slot when the killer might not be running a hex perk.

Been noticing over the last week when I am in a chase that killers are whiffing a lot more than usual. I mean, they attack but misjudge the distance and miss me by a hair as I run away, and I'm not even doing any fancy 360ing or things like that. Like I just run to a window, they attack and miss and I vault.
I didn't pay it much mind and just thought I got lucky, but it's been happening more often lately and it was happening even prior to rank reset, which meant I was going up against red and purple ranks when this was happening, killers who should know better.
I've come to realize that the whiffing is probably a result of the latency killers are experiencing with dedicated servers, something they're not used to. I'm certainly doing a lot better in chases now than I used to, getting away when I should have been downed by all rights.
Gonna take some getting used to if that's it. Someone else posted how it seemed like Survivors were stuck in SB. Not sure. Would be weird if they made maps with lag in mind and now they are broken

@JawsIsTheNextKiller said:
We need a killer that is a shark from a famous 80s movie franchise
We need a perk that neutralises the effect of all hex totems on the person running it
Survivors need facial expressions so they look happy when they get reunited and mean when they are facing the killer
The Nurse needs a quick way to turn when not using a mouse
Also no to the perk. That would be broken in HALF XD

Well, Legion was my most favourite killer, lore, design and ability wise. It's just so sad they nerfed him into oblivion. And I will never understand all the survivors that cried because of this killer, he was never really outstanding strong anyway. People talking about killers tunneling the survivors that are traitors but I've had a few games where i gave traitors the hatch because i kind of admire the sliminess, not always and never from a Nea or Claudette but occasionally.
Honestly i think the game would have been better if it stayed the way it started, no SWF all randoms. Because that would of lead to a culture of uneasiness towards each other at all times and the devs could have played around with that with new mechanics to betray each other. It would also basically stop all "gen rushing" which even if you're not toxic is impossible not to do as a SWF because what else are you gonna do lol

And do a reset ability after the first hit. Also increase the speed of movement in the "Feral Frenzy" and reduce the time spent in this ability.
