wait so you're saying that it went down from 70% kills to almost literally half kills? so it got more balanced? ahhh I see, its bad when killers kill only half, they must have 4ks, always, i see.
killers killing half and the other half escaping seems pretty balanced to me, 2 got to die and 2 got to escape, people say survivors are so entitled but i've seen so many complaints here because killers can't 4k, bruh...
Maybe read what i was answering to.
It holds some context.
Hint "killers win the majority of their games"

Really?
What's more likely (as she used to be way more active and showed up in a lot more dbd related content) is the absolute dregs of this community (which is a lot of it) constantly harassing her on twitter and her own personal stream when changes didn't go their way (Dead Hard, DS, etc, etc) which actually drove her away, she was a wonderful CM and a genuinely nice person when you were afforded the opportunity to speak to her.
I've been missing her presence already but this sucks big time.
I agree with you.
Its sad to see her go and i wish her the best for the future.

no... why? but you can see insane desync like getting hit through fully dropped pallets, through walls grabbed like a sec after letting go of a gen and you ahve 40ms so he is using a vpn... since dbd doesnt match people on EU servers with people from australia do they?
What you describe is called getting dedicated. No proof of the killer using a VPN.
Even more so, since the Hit registration is server sided. So even if the killer has a higher ping than the survivor, the server decides if something is a hit or a miss. The higher the ping, the less likely it will register as hit.

You can't, but you can assume based on the color of the ping indicator, anything above 100 is gray, and red is 200+.
You can see the killers ping indicator?

well sometimes you just know... i always lose against bad nurses but played againt a 6000 hour killer who played nurse we got out well 3 of us did... but i can face a 800 hour nurse and get clapped and unironically they always have ######### ping...
You can see the killers ping during the match?
-
Whats the point of having 27 killers when you can only use/see 3 in high mmr?
Having variety is a nice thing. Honestly, if all killers were as strong as Nurse, then no one would learn to play Nurse. Since she has such a steep learning curve. So i doubt many players want to have all killers on Nurse level.
Being able to choose freely what killer you like and not think "oh i love Trapper, but i´ll probably lose 4 gens before i get my first hook, so i´ll take something else instead".

Fair enough. Props for getting a 3k with no pwyf. Not even boyfriend's memo add on to extend the small tier 1 lunge a bit.
Thank you!
I figured, that on a indoor map like RPD i would only need to come around a corner and hit someone unexpecting. Been a while since i played jump scare Myers tbh.
Thats why i fully support having more jump scare alternatives/killers/addons. Those are the little moments in which DbD feels like a horror game.

Looks like they were probably just being sarcastic
My sole purpose of this match/build was to get the 4 hits while being undetectable with Tinkerer for the challenge.
So no camping, tunneling, not even chasing. Just coming out of nowhere hit and run.
In other words, i played exactly according to the survivors rule book for killers.

Actually i didn´t put much thought into the build. Just had to complete the challenge to hit survivors while undetectable with Tinkerer. So i switched the first thing out of it for Tinkerer and slapped the mirror on.

All you have to do is look at the killrates. It's delusional to say the game is favoring survivors when killers win a majority of the time. And solos lose even more than that.
You mean the kill rates that went from 70% to 49%?

Literally every match I’ve played today the killers has just babysat the first person they’ve hooked and go after them when they get unhooked, despite having borrowed time. And for the cherry on top they shake their heads, hit on hook, and BM everyone. But then you 4 escape them and then they have nothing to say in end game chat. And that’s not even showing the builds they run, you can guess a few already… DMS, NOED, RUIN, UNDYING, and SCOURGE. People claim all survivors play the same way but at this point it goes both ways, maybe even more so on the killers end. It’s sad.
Yeah about that "nothing to say in chat".
How often do you give killers positive feedback after a match? Even when no one escaped.
My endgame chats can be boiled down to "gg ez" when someone escaped (coming often from a survivor who did the least). Or dead silence when no one escaped. Hell I don't even get a "thank you" after giving hatch anymore.
When killers always receive negative feedback, independently how they play. What playstyle do you think will stick with then?

Here is the wiki on it
The Victory Cube consisted of a set of changes to Dead by Daylight that were released on 4 July 2017. The main part of the Victory Cube addressed the Killer's way of Ranking up, the Memento Mori Offerings and the Brand New Part Add-on. There were also other changes that were of lesser impact to the Game. The Developer discussed the following changes on the Developer Stream #58: Completely separate from the amount of gained Bloodpoints, Killers would have a new system that determined how they pip -
@humanbeing1704 said:

What was victory cube?
What we had as piping requirement before emblems.
Only hooks and kills mattered. Killer required 9 points to pip. Hooks gave 1 point and kills 3 points.
So a killer who face camped 2 survivors and got 1 additional hook got a guaranteed pip. While a killer who got 7 hooks but no kill, depiped.
The prevalent tactic to rank up was to camp hard.
-
Ironically during an early Q&A the devs said that basing the mmr on kills is a terrible idea.
I really wonder why they changed their opinion and basically turned this into the Victory Cube instead of keeping something like the Emblem system.
-
All killers should have addons like Myers and Hag that allow for completely different playstyles.

I love Bond. It shows me if the heartbeat i hear is belonging to a chased survivor, it helps me finding gens for coop and it also shows me useless teammates that hide behind a rock or a corner, when the killer is at the other end of the map.

There are ways to detect someone using a VPN and there are ways to find where said persons location or region is you would have to work with VPN companies though.
I once had a lobby with people from Thailand, USA, Russia, and Japan (at least according to their profiles). While i sit in Europe.
I wasn´t using a VPN and i doubt they did all use a VPN.

Blessing maxes out super quickly and it maxes the blessing, not the category, just by doing 2 boons you wont get an iri out of it.
Prove thyself might help with light bringer (which btw just researched and it gives u 1 ooint per gen percentage worked on, an iri is 270 points which means u need 2.7 gens by yourself) but if you don't max out the other categories you won't get more points than the killer, unless, again, the killer is an absolute baby and couldn't win chases, down people, hook them and sacrifice them.
Trading for hook means you won't max the survival points, cause you got hooked / got downed. If you go against a decent killer you need to max out most of the categories to even come close to getting more BP than them.
Oh i´m only talking about maxing out bloodpoint categories. Not about maxing emblems. Those are 2 completely different things.
I know, that i won´t get a double pip with my playstyle. Even when i maxed out bloodpoints.

So basically don't ever get hooked vs a competent killer in solo queue until endgame and hope your teammates are okay with being farmed, hope the killer doesn't tunnel through bt, killer needs to have no way to insta down or prevent unhook by other means, don't get grabbed, and hope you can still escape the trial for the 5k survival points.
Vs completing your objective as killer, sacrificing survivors to the Entity.
One of these is more situational than the other ✨
But you don´t get stacks for sacrifices as killer. You get them for the first hook of each survivor. Someone who disconnects, or dies to the entity or Pizzahead/Myers mori without even getting hooked won´t give any stacks to BBQ at all.
As i said, this is only for the endgame, when you haven´t been able to get any unhooks, protection hits or pallet saves (or flashlight). A last resort to max out stacks and multiply your bloodpoints. You don´t HAVE to do this every match.
-
@MissBehavingX said:
https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/2873025#Comment_2873025
You make it sound so easy im sure you are definitely not a survivor main.
Doing 2 gens by yourself is not as easy as it sound unless the killer is focusing on one or 2 chases and stay on it (not winning chases or having a hard time downing someone), again, most likely u go against baby killers cause good killers will keep you off a gen.
Blessing 2 totems won't give u all the points you need, then you need to get chased and then win the chase, not just one, unless it's a long one.
The beat someone for the unhook and do some healing, taking hits, etc for altruism, which also keeps u off gens, then make sure to safely escape.
But you don´t do the gens solo. Prove Thyself only gives bonus points on coop actions + a repair bonus. Now that gen takes not 80 seconds, but only 41 seconds. Blessing a dull totem takes 14 seconds. If those totems are close to each other, you can bless one, then the other one and go back to the first one. You´ll max out Boldness in less than 2 minutes.
You don´t have to beat someone for the unhook. If you reach late for the unhook, don´t turn around and help healing. You won´t get the stack, but you´ll earn healing + coop points. Sure the proposed "hook trading for 3 stacks" is only a last resort. When there are only just a few hooks left. So i would do this only at the end of a match, IF i didn´t get any unhooks, pallet saves or protection hits before that.
-

Hi Seanzu! Long time no see!
Unhooking (1), getting a protection hit (2), getting downed while protecting (3) IS more efficient than searching, hitting a survivor twice and hooking for a single stack. Even more, when a survivor disconnects before the killer gets his stack.

I´m not sure what you are trying to say with "WGLF is only altruism". Since the bloodpoint bonus applies to all actions. Not just altruism.

@MissBehavingX said:

It's not impossible but it's super rare, the killer has to do REALLY badly in order for a survivor to get more points. I'm gonna go ahead and assume you get low MMR killers where they don't sacrifice and you can easily win chases.
Blessing a totem does give you points but it gets maxed out super quickly. To get all iris you need to do at least 2 gens by yourself, safely unhook 2 players and help with healing, get chased and win all chases because you can't get downed / hooked and then escape. I've gotten more points then the killer when the killer is an absolute baby, but that rarely happens.
Its not super rare if you focus on earning as much bloodpoints as possible. As you said, you´ll max out the categories pretty fast. 1 1/2 gen with Prove Thyself is enough to max out lightbringer (not the emblem, just the bloodpoints). When i spot 2 dull totems that are close to each other, i´ll toogle between the 2 until i maxed out Boldness points. Of course, i´ll do that by the end of the match, not at the beginning. Now for altruism, i´ll try to go for save unhooks (both of us), but when there is not much else to do, i´ll happily trade a hook stage vs 2 or 3 stacks of WGLF.
-
@GoodBoyKaru said:
https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/2872992#Comment_2872992
There's no way you're saying that safe unhook in solo are easier to get without throwing the game than just hooking a survivor once 😭😭
But i do. You can get 3 stacks in that single unhook. If the match is almost over and i haven´t been hooked yet, 75% bonus points sounds like a fair deal to me.
-

"arned yourself 24k bloodpoints without escaping." Except there's no time to do that and escape in half the trials. And people, you know, like winning. Even if the winnning condition is as silly as simply escaping. Ask any creator, any player with thousands of hours in the game and they'll tell you killer BP gain is better... I won't even start that you can bring BBQ and chili to just outpace survivor BP gain even further...
Stop trying to make a controversial take for the sake of making one,it's just wrong lmao
May i introduce We Gonna Live Forever to you? Existed before BBQ, gives the same amount of bloodpoint bonus and its easier to get stacks with it.
I mean, if you want, i can spam you with screenshots where i as solo survivor earn the same amount or even more bloodpoints than the killer.
The myth that killers earn more is like 5 or so years old and outdated. The devs did a fine job in matching the bloodpoint gains for both sides.
If you take a full farm build with WGLF, Prove Thyself, CoH and BT. You´ll reach max bloodpoints in no time.
-
@kizuati said:
https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/2872864#Comment_2872864
You're inherently wrong. Survivor BP gain is directly tied to the Killer's decision. If Meg gets chased for 5 gens she will only get 8k points while her teammates will only get objective + altruism. To get 24k+ as survivor you need to be chased a lot,do a lot of gens and also have time to save your teammates and escape also at the same time. Survival also goes up only if you're obession/healing youreself/unhook yourself. You're plain wrong.
If a survivor gets chased during 5 gens and has no air to do anything else. Then sure. He´ll hit the 8k point limit and thats it. Never claimed something else.
BUT you don´t need to get chased a lot as survivor to earn 24k bloodpoints. Boons will earn you 1500 per blessing. Repeat this a couple of times and you´ll hit the 8k limit without ever seeing the killer. Now add some gen action and some unhooks/heals and you have earned yourself 24k bloodpoints without escaping. Healing yourself with our favorite boon, will also net you 300 bloodpoints per heal towards the survival category (the hardest one to max out).
So where was i wrong again?
I think those challenges we had in the past, where we were supposed to repair 1 gen + get 1 unhook + cleanse 1 totem. Tried to show people that are so adamant, that survivors earn less bloodpoints than killers, that doing something else than 1 thing will earn you nice points.
Oh and on top of that, since you said the killer is tunneling a survivor for 5 gens. Well guess what, the killer will barely get more points than the tunneled survivor and everyone else will leave with more points than the killer.
-
You know i´m convinced that survivors can easily earn just as much bloodpoints as killers can. That the points earned are a direct reflection on how those people played during the match. Someone who escapes with 11k bloodpoints did nothing during the whole match. Any by nothing i mean, no variety.

So you´re saying that people earn less points, when they play bad?

Who would have guessed, that all the people that claim, killers earn more bloodpoints. Simply played bad as survivors.

4 hooks? I played one killer game yesterday for bonus exp. I am not playing DbD long time anymore.
Anyway i was Legion at The Game. I had to break all stupid God Pallets. I had 2 hooks before gates are powered. I get 3 kills because i decided camp last guy. And they wanted save for 4 men escape. They failed because i was lucky, my hook was at first floor. So they were far from gates.
So if devs looks this game, they will say: Legion is alright, she took 3 kills. But in reality, they destroyed me.
Yeah the test is weird. It seems like they turned ranks/sbmmr/hours played/everything off. Matching everyone with everything. Resulting in very inconsistent matches.
I usually use Bond and watching my teammates crouch behind a rock or in the corner of the map doesn´t really inspire faith in a good match.

I would say that Killer is hardER by design, not that it is hard. And it should be expected that it is harder, because it is the 1 in the 1v4. And even this is not 100% the case, because sometimes Killer can be easier than Survivor, depending on the Survivors they go against. But in general, yes, it is harder. But not hard overall.
And IMO this is correct this way. Because otherwise the side which has already more variety and gains more BPs would also be the side which is easier to play. So at least for Solos there would be 0 incentive to play Survivor anymore at this point (unless they enjoy it, of course).
Sprint Burst being stronger because it makes every area safe. You can be in the biggest Deadzone, if you have Sprint Burst ready, you will be safe. This is not the case with DH.
And being more annoying... This is obviously subjective, but I expect DH in every chase, so I dont really find it annoying if someone uses it. I think it is more annoying if a Survivor can sit on a Gen until the very last second and still can get away with that.
I wish that players on both sides would stop being butthurt. Most of the time it is their own fault of they lose (granted, as Survivor you at least have the possibility that someone else can mess it up for you). But all the time players find any excuse why they died - whether it is DH, SWF, the Map, camping, certain Killers...
I fail to see the logic in your statement.
You say, that killer can be easier than survivor, depending on the survivors they go against. But the same could be said about survivor being easier depending on what killer they go against. Yes, this game is a 4vs1. Thus the 1 player who plays killer, should be at least as strong as the 4 survivors. Since the 4 players play as a team, their role should actually be harder. Compare it to a team project vs something that can be done by a single person. The team project is usually more complicated and thus requires more people assigned to it.
I´m not sure about which side you are talking, when you speak about having more variety + earning more bloodpoints while also being the easier role. I´d have to assume you mean survivors, but then the next part makes no sense. Since that would mean, that killers have long queues, because no one wants to play survivor, since its to rewarding?
If SB were stronger than DH, then SB would be meta and not DH. So don´t pretend like DH is a weaker SB.

Absolutely, because CoH is busted. We're just taking CoH off the table since we're talking about boons as a whole, not just the one obviously broken perk.
Boons are strong perks. Only one of them is busted. Theres no doubt in that.
Now in regard on their power rating against Hexes, i´d wish they´d switch spaces just for a week. So survivors can see how bad it is to lose a perk within the first 60 seconds.
