I think i’m a game where everybody want survivors to play stealthy, very survivor should get outfits like that.. but killers always complain, that’s why they made the black L4D shirt unglaublich with that red on it, because people complained it’s too dark especially if it’s a claudette..

One thing is being able to hide from the killer and a completely different is being invisible on certain maps. I had a match as claudette and was hiding in tall grass in front of the shack. Trapper came and set a trap at my position without seing me, then the trap snapped.

@Tsulan I'm fully aware of what the developers have said.

Just pointing out the oddity of the situation.

They could bind it to down a survivor for 3-4 times.
This would encourage killers to play matches against 4x SWF with 4 flashlights, instead of dodging them.

Keep up the good work, i love it!

I have seen the opposite tbh. since BL became a thing, Killers have been getting nice steady buffs and amazing perks. finally now pallet vacuum has been fixed too.
what have survivors gotten when you really think about it

Whenever a killer perk got used to much, devs nerfed it into the ground.
SC has been around since the beta, is used by 84% of the survivors and until now, they wouldn´t nerf it hard.
Killer had to endure way more nerfs than survivors.
When Freddy came out, he got nerfed into the ground. What nerfs did survivors get?

  • Are you really asking, that after a 5 minute chase, you get a free escape, because the killer camps you, since there is nothing else to do?

If you don´t like camping, then stop hiding from the BBQ aura reading.
Killer needs a reason to leave the hook, if you don´t give him a reason, he´ll stay.

LoL had a problem with toxic community. But i think they got a grip on it.

What you experience is called latency.
All weapons have the same range, but it might look like Freddy has a longer range than Trapper, because of the height.

Also, survivor hitboxes should be bigger.

I don't think so though. Having those bigger would lead to even more confusion about hitting both for killer and survivour. And it will also make DH absolutely useless since even now it might be useless because of the lunge. I'm not even talking about hatchets which mould hit air near you and give you a hit.
Hitboxes are fine as they are now. Increasing them won't solve any chase problems and would only add problems, so no.
Though, collision boxes might be changed.

DH makes the survivor invincible to every damage during the short Sprint.

Hatchet hitboxes are bugged right now. She can miss a hit, even if it was bullseye. She can hit, even if it was a miss.

The collision box and hitbox are the same if I remember correctly. Being the biggest problem during a loop. Also, right now it's possible to set a trap in a narrow path and the survivor can pass by hugging the wall. This shouldn't be possible.

Not only you have tons of spam bots which post spam until you block them, but also bots that open accounts to farm auric cells.

there's 30k people in the game as of my comment, that's only on steam, there's also Xbox and PS4, I would assume atleast 80k people playing at any given day, so I'm sure you're not always going to know the winners or that they may be active.

You are right. But my point still stands. BHVR controls the Auric Cells, and the things you can buy with them. It´s a digital currency for digital objects. Nothing has a real life value. They don´t lose money if they gift Auric Cells. They don´t pay taxes on those objects unless someone pays with real life money for them.

So the amount of threads where survivors ask for a BBQ nerf has been increasing over the last week. Especially in discussions about the nerf of SC and SB.
Survivors think BBQ is worse than camping. They think that the aura reading (or wallhack) should be removed.

So my proposal would be to give survivors exactly what they want:

    • Remove the aura reading of BBQ
    • Change the stacks requirements to be the same as WGLF. Meaning that a killer can get stacks from hooking the same survivor several times. Also hitting other survivors near the hook, should give stacks.

Those changes would reduce what survivors hate the most: Being punished for the mistakes of others.

Yes remove the aura reading and go back to full camp meta. At this point just give it to survivors and let them suffer for it, I dont care anymore

    Exactly!

  • @Noodle said:
Boy do I have some bad news for you BBQ haters out there.... the killers are about to get new and improved aura perks that show the aura of survivors when completing other tasks to, like when they finish generators. And a perk rework that'll alert killers to generators that are close to being finished. You hate BBQ now but get ready cause a new storm is on the horizon.

That would be the best moment to implement my proposed changes!

  • @MrChubChub said:
Or you could buff WGLF so that it’s the same as bbq, you see the aura of the killer if he’s 16m/24m/32m close to the hook for 4 seconds

So basically it would turn into Kindred.

  • @ZombieGenesis said:
That is purchased with real money.

    Not by the devs.
    It´s like selling monopoly money.

  • @Might_Oakk said:
The big problem to me with it is that it benefits the 2 strongest killers the most (Hillbilly, Nurse).

If you're playing 1 of these 2 and you get 1 survivor downed while another hooked it's pretty much gg. The pressure is pretty much game changing at that point since even if the survivors get to a gen to hide you know where they are.

I'm a Billy main so I am ok with this :chuffed:

The change would solve this. Leatherface would become the best killer. Didn´t survivors complain about only encountering Billy and Nurse on high ranks? Let´s kill 2 birds with 1 shot.

  • @ZombieGenesis said:
Which means less free money given away by BHVR. Brilliant on their part.

They don´t give away money anyway. It´s a digital currency.

it is to move campers away from hooked survivors.  works as intended.  if you can't escape when you hear the killer coming, the problem isn't this perk.

    @The_Manlet said:
BBQ was designed to incentivize not tunneling. That's why you get the auras and have to hook everyone at least once to maximize your BP gain. Your change would remove the reason they made the perk in the first place.

    @ZombieGenesis said:
This wold just encourage a killer to hang around the hook, wait for the troll save, and them add some stacks to the perk. Garbage.

    Yes, yes and yes.
I know what the purpose of BBQ is. Every time i explain this to survivors, they argue that some killers camp even with BBQ. They don´t want to understand that they sabotage the perk by hiding.
Survivors don´t want to get punished for the mistakes of others. They want to complete their gens peacefully without the need to worry about "OP" wallhack BBQ.
That´s why i propose the change. They´ll get exactly what they want: camping and tunneling killers.

I think it's way too late to fix anything. The problem is obvious - survivors can loop the killer around for too long, and good survivors are hitting great skillchecks almost constantly so they repair the generators really fast too. You could make killers more deadly in a chase, but that just makes them destroy low rank players, and just makes the strong killers even stronger and the weak killers acceptable at high ranks.

If they hadn't gone out of their way to dis-incentivize stealth with the addition of the Doctor, Freddy and various anti-stealth perks then it would be feasible to make the survivors less able to loop killers around for days. But that grave has been dug.

You can stealth the doctor. You only scream when you reach a higher lvl of madness or when you are at madness 3. So it´s not impossible to stealth him.
Same goes for Freddy. You can stealth him before he found you. After that, it´s pretty useless, but then again, stealthing should happen before the killer (any killer) finds you.

Expecting the player to completely stealth the doctor and never get into a chase with him is just madness. You have to do unhooks. You have to do generators where stealth really isn't possible.

Isn´t the whole doctor concept about madness?
Never had issues with the doctor. He´s annoying at most.
You can pinpoint where he is, when someone screams and you can SEE his terror radius long before you hear the heartbeat. Once you see the terror radius, just move and hide.
Even if you can´t stealth against a 3 gen doctor, it´s still possible to finish 1 of them.

Move and hide where? He's going to be in anti-stealth mode with a massive terror radius. You probably don't have time to get away even with Urban Evasion.

So you get instanly from Madness 2 to 3 when you step on the terror radius of the killer.

Please remove the limit. It only exists because people were botting when the game was first release, now I never see bots.

I feel the cap should stay. I'd like to see that when a new Killer/Survivor come, that they actually have to learn to play them and learn their perks. Far too many people save up 1 Mil points and just blow through a number of blood webs, giving the supposedly new Killer/Survivor all the same boring META perks with maybe one of the new perks mixed in for flavour.

I'd actually love to see a Maximum spending limit on each web of 100 k before you need to play a match with them to level them up again. It'd be nice if points earned could only be spent on the character they were earned on. Now I know this is a strong statement but hear out my reasons before flaming.

If points earned could only be spent on the character that earned them, then we would potentially see the following things. A more diverse gaming experience, as people are forced to spent at least a little time learning all of the killer/survivors and their perks. Less of the META, this game needs less meta, it makes the game often a boring "wash, rinse, repeat" type experience. Also having it this way would be more of a bragging right. "I've p3'd all my survivors!" means you played all of the survivors to P3, not just mained your main and bought everything because you had nothing else to spend points on.

Also limiting the spending also makes the decision to prestige at all, way more a sacrifice. Saving up a Mil points and then prestiging, makes the sacrifice so much less, because you are usually back in a pretty good position after respending the mil. Removing the BP cap would effectively make prestiging free. Just save up 3 mil and go ahead, now you own your reward without giving up anything.

Prestiging was supposed to be a tough descision, "Do I get the cool cosmetic , and go back to square one? Or do I keep what I've earned thus far and continue on?" NO CAP = NO BRAINER

    I disagree.
Saving up 3 mil would take a lot of time and dedication. Someone who spends enough time to save up so many bloodpoints should know what to do with them. The limit is just stupid.
Or do saving accounts for kids have limits on how much they can save?

And I disagree with you, so I guess we are at an impasse, only I gave reasons for my opinions, and you sided with ... "The Limit is just stupid." and something about kids saving money.

Ok i´ll have to explain the analogy. You think a person who could save up 3 million BPs is not mature enough to know what he will spend the BPs for. Thats why i brought up the example of a kids savings account. Since they are not mature enough, they can´t save more than 1000$... ohh wait, yes they can.

So again, someone who spends a whole month playing DbD and saving the BPs, should be able to save up enough to spend them where he wants. You are not the one to decide if people have the right to spend their saved bloodpoints.

    I disliked a few things.
Aka the "SB" nerf, that is more of an exhaustion nerf, that is not adressing the issues of sprint burst a single bit, and giving a penalty to all exhaustion perks even when it's not deserved.

They were not sure about the exhaustion for the other perks.
So this might not make it into the final version. But for SB, that´s a good step in the right direction.

I wouldn't call it a step in the right direction, I'd very sideways, trying to nerf blindly without understanding and adressing the issue that SB is causing.
The current "nerf" will not stop the Ambush free dodge, the last second Wraith dodge, the SB dodging hits and chainsaws at last seconds, the "I gtfo instantly after getting unhooked", the "I repair until the last second, then SB away to the nearest safe spot", along with other issues.

The only thing it does is nullifying the fact it's coming back in chases (which was a decent reward for the survivor, and usually allowed him to escape, since if you didn't manage to catch him in due time, he probably die really well), and possibly make it so they use it less often overall (which is decent, but not very consistent)

But they can still nerf it later. The exhaustion nerf will reduce looping. While not completely destroying the perk.

We said the same thing about the Hatch. They could have gone with the first or second change and then fix it later but they wouldn't do it.

So now we get to wait god knows how long until they fix the whole end game.

Artefact of the old system, like 70% of this game, aka current trapper add-ons, current hag add-ons, current nurse add-ons, current Billy add-ons, current Wraith add-ons, etc, etc.

Well, they want to rework all of the old add-ons.
Let´s hope they don´t stop there.

A slight BP limit increase could be good. (maybe 10k per category, it would round it up nicely.)

Since the patch, I have never seen a lobby with less than 3 items. (Usually BNPs/Insta-med)
No wonder more people are dodging. I understand people are feeling less confident due to the pallet nerf, but this kind of reaction is laughable.

I get a lot of BNP lately.
Gen times are already ridiculous short. But with BNP its just... meh

    Usually i don´t dodge.
I get rewarded with last second switchers that disconnect on the first down.
If you find lobby dodgers annoying, just play killer yourself.

I play both as stated previously

Well, then play more until you stop complaining.
I rarely get dodged. I have an open profile with over 800 hours. I really don´t see the issue.
