A little bit unfairer.

I don't think a bug where you can slide off of objects is comparable to a bug that makes you literally invincible and holds the game hostage.
Both have faulty code

would it somehow automatically be more skillful if the devs said "yep on purpose fr" or something? Anyone could do it at an entry level but that doesnt make it inherently unskilled. Any survivor can "loop" after hearing about how running in a circle is better than a straight line, but looping has a very high skill ceiling on both sides. I'd like to note that looping is also a completely unintended aspect of gameplay that formed from survivors realizing that killers larger hitboxes took longer to go around tiles; an unintended, even buggy side effect of an intended aspect of the game.
Probably unintended, but it's not because some zeros and ones are wonky in the game's code. Hug tech is. Saying exploiting a bug in a code to use hug tech is skill, is like saying that it is skill for survivors to go a certain place in Swamp map where killer can't pick them up (which they luckily patched up)

got patch that skill out of the killer. Can't have killer having skill expression the ability.
It's not skill… It's a bug. If everyone is able to do it, is it really a skillful play? No

I mean if there was no soft cap maybe they could go back to where they're supposed to be. But unfortunately players can't drop to their actual skill level. MMR sucks and is the problem, but at the time it is a skill issue. if a survivor sucks so much that they should be with new players than that is where they should be, but unfortunately its a fake SBMM system and not an actual SBMM system.
Never said that the SBMM works correctly or it is how it should be. All I said that OP is in the wrong MMR bracket
-
Sorry for your loss. He/she will always be a part of you. People can be real a-holes sometimes. This kind of behaviour is inexcusable.
-
This just means you're in a MMR where you shouldn't be
-
No.
-
It's bad. Just… Bad. Like many have said, it's way too mobilegame-y and irritating to browse
-
Supernatural. Killer is Crowley and every time he sees Dean and/or Sam, he says "Hello boys"

I don't think there will be a great issue with underage players. Or, perhaps more accurately, there won't be that much of an increase with underage players.
The rating system is ignored a lot of the time by parents to the point that, when playing Texas Chainsaw Massacre, it was uncommon but not unusual to find six to eight year olds playing a game about cannibalism, etc (and TCM, while not incredibly graphic, is a lot more graphic than DbD).
For that matter there's also Dead by Roblox so quite a few young children are already aware of DbD.
Fortunately, there is no voice chat (which, incidentally, I suspect for being the reason it appears that DbD has less underage players than it probably does). At least without voice chat it'll be harder for creepy people to talk to children and it'll be harder for children to swear at and use ethnic and homophobic slurs against other players. Besides it's not like DbD has never had that much of an issue with adults nerd raging and telling other players to unalive themselves so I don't picture that level of toxicity being that much different.
Just, whatever you do BHVR, don't add voice chat.
Yeah, at this point I'm also starting to lean to not add voicechat into the game when the FNAF license drops into the game. Also, they should make the Endgame Chat inactive as default and you have go activate it in the settings yourself if you want it.
And if things start to go really messy anyways, then BHVR should begin to consider the possibility to start phone ID:ing player accounts like in Overwatch
But as many have said in this thread, there are already young kids playing this game. Younger than what the age rating of this game is. It's more of the parents responsibility to be aware of what their offsprings are playing. And we all have been watching and playing stuff we shouldn't have when were young ourselves (like watching R18 horror movies in the 80's and 90's, or playing games like Mortal Kombat) and I can say that 99.9999% of us grew up to be quite normal human beings despite seeing some graphic violence and nudity in our youth.
Kids do not need to see all that, but they will regardless. We've all been there. Everything that was forbidden from us, was exciting and our curiosity to know why things were forbidden from us, got the best of us. It's up to the parents to tell them what they should see and play, and explain things that are wrong and hurtful. But you can't also always protect them and keep them in the secret. It will also create huge social problems when they grow up if they haven't seen anything when they were growing up. It's a mixed bag

Unless they're abusing bugs and broken stuff

We definitely don't want perks stepping on each other's toes, but I do want to take a second to clarify that Eyes of Belmont and Dark Sense do not do the same thing. Eyes of Belmont reveals the Killer as soon as a generator is completed. Dark Sense, meanwhile, activates when a generator is completed and only reveals the Killer's aura the next time they approach you. While they would effectively activate at the same time if you're being chased, Dark Sense would typically be used as a warning that the Killer is approaching while Eyes of Belmont may reveal that they're busy chasing a Survivor on the other side of the map.
We do have quite a large Perk update coming soon, though! As Nazzzak mentioned, we'll be updating around 20 lesser Perks (mostly lesser used ones) at once. We'll share more on this when the time comes.
Oooh. Can't wait for the next Perk Shake Up

This implies there are no methods for Killers to "bully" in 1vs 4, which isn't true. Examples could be tunneling, bleeding people out, humping ...
Also, I think bullies are bullies regardless of who they play, they are not going to switch to the other side and turn nice suddenly, so that is another reason why I don't believe in the "It's just players getting revenge"-explanation.
I'm not saying majority of killer players are "getting revenge" against survivor players. Probably 99% of them are there just to have fun with a friend or a significant other.
But what I've read in these discussions, to me, it seems that most survivors that hate this mode, are usually the ones who like to bully killers in normal mode. And they can't stand it now that the roles have somewhat reversed. I know, it's subjective but that is what it looks to me.
-
Lot's of people here complaining that "2v8 killer sided" and "2v8 is survivor sided".
What I've experienced is that this game is pretty 50/50. It all comes to teamplay. As a survivor, do not waste your time on opening those chests. Go straight to gens. Try to do the gens as a team. Soloing gens will do you more harm than good. And try to take out the middle gens first, spread them out. Use the abilities that your role has. If you have "Guide"-role, especially then you should always try to do gen with someone.
And as a killer, you ALSO have to play as a team. I know it's harder if you're both soloing, but try to keep looking where the other one is. Try herd survivors to your killer teammate. Use each others skills to your advantage. Many people have been complaining that Billy can't instadown with his chainsaw. Try to look if the other killer is chasing a healthy survivor, rev your engine and run past that said survivor and that survivor gets exposed.
In other words, do not try to play this as a normal 1v4, because you don't have your perks, your items or your add-ons. Try to change your playstyle.
And do not take this too seriously. It's just chaotic fun. An event that will last only 2 weeks. And it is not like BHVR will make this as a default mode. It'll come back some day in the future, but you still will have your 1v4.

my partner say it feel like killers are giving pay back or something in this mode all in all killers are ruining it.
we can't have nice thing because of players.
Truth be told, I can understand that mentality. After years of bullying, the bullied are getting a payback. And the bullies cant stand that.
I'm not saying that all players are, but both sides do have their fair share of petty people with crappy attitude. But truth be told, the funniest thing during this event is that those who usually loop killers and t-bags at every vault, cant do that so easily anymore if both killers are on them. And they are losing their marbles because they cant harass killers anymore
-
Yeah, I got that. But they should've said on that post that the crossplay wouldn't work for those who bought via Windows Store exclusively

Platforms on different game versions cannot CrossPlay.
Ok… They should've worded it better. I thought the crossplay was shut down from all platforms for the time being
-
Yep. Been a problem for couple of days now

"Crossplay will be unavailable in the meantime" BHVR SERIOUSLY??!?!?!?

Wait time for survivors are not that bad, 1-2 mins but i had to wait 12 minutes to get a killer game, yet its the survivors that have 400% BP … that makes no sense?
I think it's a good incentive for survivor player. This is a great opportunity to farm BP's without losing any offerings etc.
-
Truth be told, KWF (Kill With your Friend) is lot more fun
-
Why are people so angry about this mode? This is just chaotic fun. And I've seen more teamplays than ever with randoms.
-
CloudFlare problem
-
I can confirm this. Just played at MacMillan
-
I've noticed this too after the hotfix. Gens fly really fast
-
I had the same experience when I switched from PS4 to XSX. The loading times are shorter and the lag with especially skillchecks is non-existent
-
A 30 second cooldown when you vault a window or a pallet, and drop a pallet

Same with me. Especially in Haddonfield where there are those small floating particles in the basement

Use anything you want. Unless a certain perk has a known bug which you can exploit. Then don't

I am currently taking a break from the game, since it is too borken to play right now and matches don't seem quite fair.
"Borken" happens when "Broken" and "borked" have a child
-
Yeah. Just had that one kind of game. One of the survivors "sacrificed" themselves. It was clear at the get go. Killed her and went to hiding for the rest of the match. Not gonna play by their rules
-
Do not give BHVR ideas… The UI is already full of clutter and a mess right now. Especially after the latest update. Let's just wait till they fix it.
-
Same for me
-
I have to give credit to BHVR, though. For once, they made a change that EVERYONE (dis)agrees upon unilaterally.
Bravo, BHVR! You finally got every player on the same page
-
"Knight is now bottom C-tier killer"
-
Really bad. Functionality took a nose dive. Before you just clicked once, now you have to do more steps just to get where you could go on one press of a button.
Also, I don't like how they try to force people to buy unowned characters by putting them first. Before they were on the bottom and you could see that you didn't own them
-
So, basically Nintendo doesn't want their players to—- SWITCH?

This was pretty insightful. Thanks for the clarification… But I have to ask because I'm guessing that many have the same question in mind; Why are they shaped like…. That? -
- 1) Do people take too long to hit the "Ready" button?
- Spending bloodpoints
- Adjusting or changing offerings/add-on's/perks
- Getting drink/snack
- Have a quick smoke (I do occasionally)
- Quick bathroom break
- pet related problem (happens to me more than it should 😅)
2) Do every survivors like to TBAG before pass through the exit gate?
- I don't do it personally unless the killer has a crappy attitude
- Some people are just douchebags
3) Do survivors like to see the killer watching them jumping into the exit hatch?
- Again, some people are just douchebags and sore winners/losers
-
Lots of Skull Merchants mentioned in this thread.
I don't have her yet, but I'd bet even I wouldn't play her. Second one is Knight. Hate him with every fabric of my soul
-
Happened to me, too. My game was on standby for a day. Just booted it, and same thing happened to me. Wasn't able to play. I'm also on XSX. I'm not sure was it the suspended game or the newsfeed that caused it (popped up at the beginning).
Got it fixed by closing the game via XBox menu itself and re-booting the game.

Then play the regular mode
