I would highly recommend bringing an skeleton key with survivor tracking add-ons, you dont have to fully repair those generators, you just need to be working on them when they are finished.
-
Thats not a buff, thats an exploit

PS4 player here
Im barely at rank 4 right now, just got 3 entities displeased in a row, one playing as oni, one as billy and one as doc
The maps I got were not exactly good for the killers I was playing, plus, the survivors were also pretty solid
Red ranks as killer is really, really hard if you lack the experience or the skill

Watch out, people will say nurse and spirit barely got nerfed and that freddy was too good. I agree 100% though
All of those are correct tho, maybe not freddy, but the add-ons that got nerfed were a bit annoying to go against.

Could be worse, could be better, overall i think its pretty ok

It's partly due to how live services work unfortunately.
It's less about player entertainment and more about player investment.
Someone who has spent a hundred of dollars on the game and DLCs, another 200 on cosmetics, and literally thousands of hours playing same game, is invested to the game and won't leave that easily no matter how bad the game may be getting.
Unfortunately for them, I'm not so easy to tame and I will leave if they continue to disrespect their player base as they have been doing. Hell, if this Ruin patch goes through, that might just be it for me. Nerfing Ruin not even for balance, but just for the rank 15 killers is a total disrespect to their veterans and is going to kill all my enjoyment as Killer because being gen rushed in 5 minutes isn't fun and I don't find escaping in 5 minutes against rank 16 killers to be a great form of entertainment, either:
In other words, people are addicted and are unable to quit.

yea they would be good:) But im thinking maybe another one like epic games.
lmao, a single perk is changed and now the game should be sold to another company.
-
Damn, did not read your post
Anyways, enjoy lobbydodging people, i guess.
-
Babysitter is a worse OoO that will screw you more than it will help you.
-
His slowdown add-ons make him a bit unfun to play against for some survivors, I personally consider him to be in a great spot right now, pretty strong but still manageable to play against.
-
They NEED to reduce the 3 second stun after shocking and fix the shock delay, besides that, he seems like a pretty solid killer now.
-
They constantly listen to the community, its just hard to keep everyone happy.
-
Nope, almost every killer keeps using ruin in their buidls, that is my own experience.
-
Unability to accept fault in ones actions and victim complex.
-
I hate using DS, because I feel it requires way too little skill and is only there as a crutch for players that want to get to red ranks fast, although, sometimes I wish i had equipped it when the killer is tunneling hard.
-
It would be cool to have a killer that can destroy vaults, maybe make it so that it has a 2 minute cooldown or so, that way it wont be that powerful
-
Obvs
-
Legion or Bubba
-
Correct, but that doesnt mean the role is not stressful and it still requires a lot of work.

Make him able to have all of his traps at the beggining of the match, then, looking for them wont be such a chore and you wont have to waste such a massive amount of time looking for them.

What is the point of this post? Just to insult survivors?
Free internet points.

@sorrowen said:
Well after reading their comments it’s clear they are biased. And are detached from the DBD community at large.
"they are biased because they say things I dont like"
lmao.

Discordance and corrupt intervention could help.
-
Haha epic toxic plays. Have your reddit gold sir.
-
The timer stops after the killer has hooked another survivor or when hiding in a locker

@BadMrFrosty said:
Anyone wonder what percentage of games DS is used in? Oh, sorry. I won't talk like that anymore, my bad. This is survivor territory.
The forums? Mate, you are in the most killer sided place to talk about DBD, you can say anything as ridiculous as you want as long as it supports killers point of view.
-
@Mr_K said:
I just find it funny that people consider him a God among killers.
Well, he is the only DBD youtuber that doesnt get completely butthurt and blames everyone but himself when losing, he instead looks at what he did wrong and what could have get done better.
-
I like the change, but it shouldnt be a hex perk, maybe make it so that it doesnt have a synergy with surveillance and it should be good.
-
Oh no! now i wont be able to lobby dodge people because I am unable to take any challenge! What will I do now?
-
@FriendlyGuerl said:
But what if people just...i mean...keep repairing a gen?
You get them off of it, duh
-
Its just a nerf, and we are still on the PTB, the whining is outrageous, i dont remember people being this mad at a perk change ever.

No, I am saying it's silly to expect that 95% of killer players who used the perk, and will be heavily and negatively impacted by this change, shouldn't adapt at all in a situation where the band-aid from a problem is being ripped off before the problem is fixed. So of course they are going to try and find an alternative solution.
Killers will have less time to apply pressure now. So now they will have to find a way to apply pressure faster in that shorter amount of time. That includes slugging, running high tier'd killers, and moris.
If survivors find that less fun, that's unfortunate for them. Everybody loses then, both killers and survivors.
That's why this change is stupid and very ill-timed. Killers will now have to play more sweaty, meaning more slugging, tunneling and moris and less killer variety, which will be more frustrating and boring for the survivors in turn. It's silly to expect and blame killers for not playing the same way and letting survivors win.
Seems reasonable to me, anything that helps slow the game is welcome, but i dont consider making use of dick tactics just to get survivors to think as you is fine, its just unfun and it is not helping nobody.
-
I hope DS gets changed soon, this perk is only getting more and more annoying with time.

Most of these memes are ######### awful, is reddit capable of producing anything original or funny?

How else are killers supposed to adapt to games going even faster now?
Ruin wasn't needed for killers to win, but it was needed for them to play nice.
So yeah, prepare for lots of slugging, mori, and generally sweaty and "toxic" playstyle because killers, especially those of lower tier like Clown, are going to need to do that to even have a shot at being viable in a match now considering they already struggled before and from my experience on the PTB, the new Ruin is laughably easy to ignore as a survivor.
If survivors don't like killers responding to the change in, imo, an appropriate manner, then they should be protesting this change to and encouraging BHVR to fix the actual problem with the game instead of ripping off the band-aid because a few survivors complained that the band-aid was annoying and made them itchy.
So you are basically proposing to make the game completely unfun for the survivors so they agree with you?

PTB is more of an illusion of control, where you think your opinion matters before the changes go live. Unless of course, it affects "survivors fun."
Guess ghostface was just an illusion, so was Spirit and Oni

Did you read the update notes?
One of the reasons Ruin was nerfed was literally because survivors complained about ruin, and were too bad at the game to learn to hit great skill checks, despite the fact I learned to do it, even though my skill checks move at a very (un)smooth 10 FPS and I rarely run this game higher than 35 FPS
Their words, not ours.
It was the devs decision at the end of the day, the "ebil survibor mainz" did not put a gun in the head of the BHVR employes to make them change ruin, its just awfully dumb to make unrelated people pay for what the devs did.

@Quiet_Observer said:
I've just been face camping, tunneling, mori, and crap as my protest lol when I get messages about it I just say "well you got ruin nerfed 🤷"
What a poor mentality, blaming the devs decisions on survivors.
Grow up.

extremely weak proof, regardless. what one dev said 4 years ago is not representative of what their philosophy was those 4 years.

'Devs never said their maps weren't garbage.'
Proves that's statement is wrong.
'You're just throwing dirt at them.'
Again, Mcote is not representative of all the devs. Indeed, you are just throwing trash at them for internet points.

Survivors have the potential to break the game with some combination of DH/DS/Unbreakable/Adrenaline/Prove Thyself/Sprint Burst and toolboxes plus a free perk slot without any downsides via comms. Few groups do this, but it's staggering how ridiculously powerful survivors can be. Additionally, many map tiles are completely safe if the survivor paths correctly. Again, most survivors don't do this, but killers seem laughably weak when they do. To answer the OP's question, the answer is a bit nuanced. Relative to the skill of most survivors, no, killers aren't necessarily weak. 75% of survivor players are just suboptimal (incorrect pathing, poor decision making, sending more than 1 person for rescues, etc.). The issue is that killers ARE weak when survivors play near their full potential. There is no reason to ever lose to a killer like Pig on Mt Ormond, for example. Survivors have to actively ignore generators for large stretches or be very suboptimal in chases. From my own experience, even when running Kindred, I'll still often see 3 survivors crouch walk towards me from across the map. That's the kind of thing I'm talking about.
This guy gets it.

Why don't you ask @Acromio about his interaction with Peanits then?
Or better yet have a look at this thread that futher solidifies BHVR inability to listen sometimes.
Honestly the fact you tried lying and are now completely saying that 'it doesn't matter' makes me laugh.
Lying in which way? Im just asking you for simple proof that the devs are in denial that the maps are not perfect, is gathering evidence that hard?

Not hearing an answer bud.
Sadly i didnt hear one from you either, you just showed me one sad quote from Mcote and then you just proceded to rely on him to say all the devs think the same. You still havent showed me any other quotes from other devs that prove you point.

He's was the game director. Bullshit, it doesn't prove anything.
Please go on with your delusions. It's entertaining to see someone say 'I'm throwing dirt' for bringing up facts.
Yes, he is the game director, but he is extremely alienated from the community and his game, what he says is not fully representative of what the devs think, plus, he said that in 2016, just how much things have changed since then?
Can you quote Not_Queen? Peanits? Or even Almo?
-
Out of all the changes this is the one that dissapointed me the most, it needs more bass, currently it feels extremely weak, nothing close to demo or oni

I would crave for anything pre-hispanic, an Aztec priest or something of the sort would be amazing.

Got any more lies to prove yours?
"Devs never said their maps weren't garbage"... that's hilarious.
Thats one quote from Mcote, he rarely plays his game and has indirectly insulted the community on more than one occasion. It doesnt prove anything, you are just throwing dirt at the devs for the sake of it.
