Its obvious that they dont want the game to die. So autoban will not be as bad as some on this forum think.

Alright, my comment got deleted for some reason but anyway---I feel like it's easier to rank up as killer. I get all of my points just from doing my main objective, hooking people. I also play stronger killers like Nurse and Blight though. Survivor is supposedly easier to rank up with but I feel like my games are so RNG, sometimes I'm as good as the killer and sometimes I suck, sometimes my teammates suck, sometimes the killer is too bad so I don't get a whole Benevolent emblem, etc. I feel like pipping relies on the other players too much whereas killer it depends mostly on you.
I got a rank reset to rank 9. Now that im rank 4 again i can say that its not hard to pip as survivor. The big difference to killer are double pips. They are so much easier on killer so you rank up a lot faster.

I don't know where/when you play, but as I've said many times, in the EU if I play from late afternoon then 9 out of 10 times I get matched with terrible survivors. Not even a challenge most of the time. Earlier in the day matchmaking is significantly better, but queues worse. Ymmw.
There's a reason why content creators stream at the hours they do when they go for streaks while gloating
Well i think you get more viewers in the evening. You should rather say that they use crossplay as pc players for it.
-
I want to change maps and killer. Then it would be really useful to test some things.
-
I play both sides, but survivor is more relaxing. As solo survivor i have really annoying matches, but i mostly dont care when i lose or better when i had never the chance to win. And when you play survivor you have downtimes. As killer you always need to avoid wasting time and if you make a mistake you have a problem.
I never got hate messages as survivor and a killer rarely taunts me.
And so i dont want to lose as killer, but i dont care when i play survivor.

Eh the time is kind of the problem...
1 Survivor: 80 secs
2 Survivors: 47 secs
The time of 2 survivors on 1 gen is kind of unbalanced... It should be just 60 seconds if 2 survivors are working on the same gen
3 survivors = 47 seconds
and 4 survivors = 27 seconds
If you make it so that 2 survivor are slower, then more survivor would realize that spreading out is the best tactic. And then you would always lose 3 gens at the start.

If you play with soloQ survivors, they take half an eternity to finish. If you play with SWF, they pop in 15 seconds, starting with the intro animation. So I guess it would be fair to increase gen repair time to at least 120 seconds if the survivors are in SWF. SWF should be a separate mode with separate rules for them.
No the problem is not swf. Good survivor without comms also dont waste time and do gens at the start. With good survivor the only difference is that they always know which gen has progress and another survivor finishes it if the killer interrupts.
Its just a huge difference with bad survivor. Normally they would waste time with hiding, chests etc. But when you are on comms you cant say: hey im doing nothing right now, so they are forced to be productive. And they hide less bc they know that someone else gets chased.
If you now make gens longer there many problems. Many swfs are just bad and have no chance. Good swfs will have no chance against top tier killer. And good solos will still dominate.
-
Probably the twins. The trailer looked great and the power interesting. But the entire chapter was buggy and victor got stuck so often, it was no fun.
If you count midchapter then the farm rework. I dont care whether its day or night, but the corn is still annoying and cowshed is a joke.
-
I never use items except for a challenge. And with my main ace i dont use any.
Items exist to make a good looking inventory. And if others lose their event items, mine are more rare. And then they are more worth. And then the entity tells me theres no item selling. And then i ignore that and hoard more.

How would you change them?
I would add more and make them easier to destroy. Right now its really annoying if a zombie is near a gen or a hooked/downed survivor. Or if you get a hit bc you are in a chase and a zombie blocks the loop. All of this happens rarely, so its completely random right now how useful zombies are. Killer and survivor have not much influence on that its just pure luck.
So with more zombies which are easier to destroy, its the choice of survivor to spend time destroying zombies or getting interrupted often.
-
It could help. But i think they should change zombies more. They can be annoying for the survivor, but are most of the time not that strong.
-
Five and twenty-five. Five years dbd and 25 years resident evil.
If i learnt something then that you dont name something what you might need to kill.
-
But why is that a bad thing? They can use the custom terror radius to make a killer stronger or weaker. Its not bad when a 24m terror radius is ingame more like a 20m terror radius, when it doesnt make the killer too strong.
They probably dont have this in mind when they balance a killer, but there are many things like that and a slightly smaller terror radius is not really the biggest problem.
-
I think blast mine against pop will be more annoying.
Detectives Hunch is still the better totem perk if you have a team who does gens. You see the nearest totems and you dont need to waste time cleansing if its dull.
-
You can just look at his profile. But i think its against forum rules to discuss bans.
-
If there would still be a matchmaking i would probably stay. But i dont know.
If there is no matchmaking i would leave. Its too boring to play against player who are so much worse. Winning doesnt feel great. As killer you need to babysit the survivor and as survivor you are just there to suffer. With a good team against a bad killer the matches are faster than the matchmaking. With a bad team you either loop the killer the entire game and thats atleast a bit enjoyable, but most of the time they ignore you and you can only watch your team crumble.
-
This people wont stop anyway. Some people like to think that they belong to a superior group. And others just need a excuse why they lost.
-
With the change to moris in the future pop could get less valuable for the last gens. You cant mori when you want to use pop.
-
I want more zombies and a way to destroy them without pallets, items or perks. So if you dont take the time to destroy them you get a problem later. But then they should respawn slower and not be a hindrance when you are chased.
-
The wiki said they will respawn in 12 seconds. Just saying if someone opens this thread for the answer.

@supersonic853 said:
Are people legitimately using a pallet on them? Why? They literally shamble.
Have you ever played solo que? I have seen people heal with a medkit while they were infected from the plague. Or cleansing, then unhooking and getting infected again.
-
I dced twice in 2500 hours and i almost never play swf. You can do it.
-
But im now really interested in this post.
-
Its ok when iridescent addons are not the strongest. But it is great if they change the gameplay a bit.
-
After a while its just not scary anymore. But its ok bc i never played it for that.
-
Thats bc you and the player you go against are mostly new. If you learn how to play survivor, killer will struggle against you.
-
Nobody will use it. Using two slots to heal in 4 sec is not really better then 8 seconds. If a killer camps and you get the endurance-effect (BT) then you need to mend first. If the killer is not there, he will be rarely in the 5-8 seconds distance. So almost never you will get a heal not interrupted bc of this perk. The overall time safe in a trial is worse than other perks.
-
If this is a loss in your opininion you should stop playing. Trying to stop hatch escapes to 100% is frustrating, boring and it costs you too much time. Just dont count the mercy escape.
-
You can injure and down survivor with the tentacle if they are contaminated. Zombies can also injure and down when you are contaminated.
-
The only time where star struck was a bit scary for me, was against a hag. Bc against every other killer i just run away in a atraight line and nothing happens. But even the hag didnt get a down.
-
I tried it when deception came out and imo Head On pairs better with quick and quiet.
The problem with deception is that it always triggers. So i use it and then i need to slow enter another locker or keep running. Deception + entering slowly takes too much time and the killer has a high chance to get close enough to see you. Keep running works only with enough LoS-blocker and then you dont use Head On.
Deception would be better if can choose to not trigger it. Then the killer needs to guess whether i used deception or i just entered the locker.
-
I think they are not happy with their own ideas and dont want to make quick fix. They want to fix keys and then never touch them again.
-
Claudette: i dont like blendettes
Yui and Quentin, i guess.
-
Most map reworks were a disappointmemt gameplay wise. But right now i have no perk/perk combo i complain about. There were are lot great changes in this regard. Maybe noed on bad killer needs a change. Map offerings and keys are still annoying, but atleast i dont need to watch out for moris anymore.

This was my intial idea. To lock survivor interactions for a solid 2-3s to stop the DH abuse and to make it more skillful
2-3 seconds would be probably too much. It should be maybe one second + the time the killer needs to travel the dh-distance.
But i would probably switch to sprintboost anyway. Its a hassle to manage the exhaustion but its stronger than dh.

Yeah for the people who try to abuse the speed boost at short loops by repeatedly using it
So wraith should have a cooldown for uncloaking?

Except that the game heavily rewards hooking multiple survivors multiple times. Devour Hope is just one example, I notice that you ignored my point about BP and emblems.
So like I said. You can camp if you want. But “if you get caught once you’re dead” is not the way the game is designed, and people will judge you for playing that way - just as you have every right to camp if you want, they have every right to look down on that playstyle. Nobody should abuse anyone for the way they play but they can judge as much as they want.
Sadly the opposite is true. Devour hope and other perks are the exception. And other than perks nothing rewards for you hooking multiple survivor. The base game is even punishing you for that bc killing one survivor early is so strong.
Imo this is one of the biggest reasons why this strategies get used.
-
Bl makes unsafe pallets a nightmare and i would atleast remove 2 and 3. But it takes a lot of time and if you have a good team (gl in solo que), its a good chase for survivor bc of the timewaste.

Lets keep buffing killers so the lower ranks suffer and then killers get to ranks where they shouldn't be and then moan about killers not being viable.... when they are at higher ranks than they should be...devs then buff killers again when they moan.....its a vicious circle
what about the people that are yellow rank and above? You can't keep buffing killers to cater for high rank gameplay
Why should yellow ranks be more important than red ranks? I want to play against killer who have a chance against me. A yellow rank can always gets better (every red rank was obviously a yellow rank in the past), but red ranks cant get worse.
So while i understand that it can be frustrating its not that easy to fix.

But let’s be honest- because of the speed boost, no one does hit and run any more. Hell, I barely saw it before. Felt like only the top echelon of wraith mains did that. Once they hit you and you gain a speed boost, they just cloak, speed up to catch up to you, then mind game uncloaking followed by a hit. Also, when one thinks Wraith the first word that comes to mind is generally stealth. Now if you were asked about Blight or Billy, it would typically be speed. I just feel like they didn’t put much effort into buffing him properly- like they couldn’t be bothered. You could add speed to any killer and call it a “buff.” If he becomes more popular, I can see him irritating casuals. Me personally, I don’t have fun playing against him. I didn’t even like going up against him before.
Its good that they catch up. Holding w can be so boring. And no wraith was never only a stealth killer. He is clearly outclassed atleast compared to ghostface. A only stealth killer who cant instadown would be just a weaker version of other. So a fast stealth killer is where wraith shines. And this speed is only his old windstorm, so most wraith played like that for years.
-
You need to predrop most pallets and then run around the entire structure. The killer loses time going around the pallet and has a hard time catching up. On other pallets you need a stun. Ita very hard, but if you never drop the pallet you waste a lot of time. There are some killer who make it very hard, but i think hawkins is fun to loop bc its so different.

I don't think it's out yet; had a rank 15 killer match yesterday, with two grey ranks and two rank 3's...

Deerstalker should show you how much a survivor has recovered. The aura should be white and turn into red with more recover progress.
-
What is that?

Personally I think giving Wraith more speed was a lazy fix. It doesn’t fit in with his character/play style. I feel like they should have played more to his stealth. His heavy footsteps and snarls should have been removed. The distance thing for his cloak was a good idea, however. His speed add-on for when cloaked should’ve been buffed to what his max speed is now, as a default. Wraith mains never had trouble against the general public before the buff, but I can see SWF’s being a problem for him. I imagine they still are, since some feel like he could have used more of a buff.
Giving wraith more speed was a simple fix, but it fits his playstyle. They just made his most used addon (purple windstorm) basekit. So the only thing that changed is that people can now run one strong addon more.
His playstyle was always hit-and-run so the speed increase was neccessary.

@onemind said:
Yeah and if anything were to be nerfed about him probably addons and like a 2or3s delay after cloaking
What do you mean with delay?

Nah still not works for me. BBQ + POP is good for me on Freddy. When i hook someone, BBQ gives me info. Teleporting this gen, kicking with POP. And also i have Devour for middle game. So Devour is stopping them and scares them so much. Everyone looking for totem now. And that's gives me minimum 2 hooks. I am okey with my build. Ruin is not so much effective.
Freddy has a good chase ability. Its not that hard to get downs early, even with all pallets available. So you can use pop early. On other killer like wraith the first down can take a while against good survivor. So with a hit-and-run tactic ruin works better.
I dont use ruin on freddy either. But you could try thrilling instead of bbq. When you know a gen is close to being finished, fake a teleport, then pick up and block the gen.
