Step 1: Unplug PC/Console.
Step 2: Go outside.
I did that and couldn't figure out where to replug my console to deal with those boons.

I don't really have a go-to build. I prestige characters when they hit 50, level them back to 15, and then see what I get in the bloodweb to play with. So all my killers use different builds. There are really bad perks I avoid like Insidious and Monstrous Shrine, etc, but I don't have a problem using average perks and unusual combos.
Insidious and Monstrous Shrine would be my other two perks if we could bring six. You are missing out.

Why are we upset over this? Seriously.
Ok, if you're the last Survivor; you are not getting away. The Killer literally has nowhere else to be. You kobe off the hook? He just smacks you, waits 60 seconds for DS, and puts you back up.
There's literally 0 reasons to let you try kobeing, because you're not getting away. It's a waste of time to do anything but kill the Survivor.
As a Slippery Meat gamer, I disagree. Give me a chance and I will make a miracle happen. I prefer the magic.

I have heard they made totem spawns more obvious for the apply of Boons. Which was a direct nerf to Hexes, when you think about it. ๐
But I don't know how true it is.
It wouldn't surprise me; however, the spawns were always Pig tier. I stopped running Ruin well before Boons because I was tired of the sound notifier going off before I found a survivor.
-
Iron Grasp, Agitation, Lightborn and Bamboozle. Ask the survivors how much fun they had going against it. Spoiler alert, they send me lots of compliments and say that I am the most skilled killer they ever played against.

You lost me at the word toxic. The word itself is over-used and not properly at that. Other than that, the perk itself is fine.
Stop being toxic towards his suggestion. The perk is not fine, it is toxic. And calling words overused is also a form of toxicity. That is a triple whammy for you, good sir.

2 posts with congratulations and 2 posts say GG EZ. It's my Killer Games in Forum Form!!!!
My bad, my bad. I love it when killers murder everyone in the basement. Congratulations. It is truly a great moment and I wasn't giving it the proper respect. This is the start of something beautiful and before you know it, you will go for those basement wipes even without a challenge encouraging you to do so because that is what justice means to the American Dream.

Franklin's is fine. It's 1 Killer Vs 4 Survivors. The killer has to equal the power of 4 Survivors or he starts with literally 0 chance. That's also why Killing helps him; it goes from Killer (4) vs Survivors (4), to Killer (4) vs Survivors (1).
Franklin's is fine. You're not losing anything you can't rebuy.
Unless it is one of those tricked out event flashlights.

Spirit? No, she's fine, otherwise you'd see GannMan going ballistic.
Oh, yeah, I just meant for me personally. I rarely play Billy because Leatherface exists. If Jason was added, you know I am never touching Trapper again. I am just one of "those" people who plays for the licensed killers.
That being said, might still have a game with her every now and again for the music. It is so good. But she is kind of my main at the moment BECAUSE I suspect I will rarely play her once Ringu drops.
-
Just add a survivor item that when charged with enough teabags while in LoS of a killer, it drops their add ons near the last gen you tapped.

i thought that too, but i hate the game with a passion. enjoy bully simulator without functional matchmaking, hope you learn fast because one mistake and you can't play the game.
It is that bad, huh? I could kind of tell from the footage I saw, but I am very surprised to hear it from you because DBD doesn't even phase you as a killer and we all know that people be crying ๐ข all the time about playing killer in this game. That being said, that game has a Werewolf. So maybe it is worth if it comes to the king of platforms, ps4.

I have actually never played against Spirit Fury, so... I have no idea how it feels. As a killer though, it is pretty poggy woggy.

Eh. I feel like any sort of voice acting that possibly helps Survivors that can only be heard by Survivors would be a bit unfair for Killers.
If it's just fluff; I can't imagine many people would keep it on after awhile, which means it would be money badly spent. c.c
To be fair, people buy digital cosmetics in 5 year old games, I do not think we are very conservative with our money... I mean, I bought an outfit for my worst killer that is going to be replaced completely in March. Kind of cringe, dawg.
-
Pig. As one of the worst killers they would never nerf her, least of all every other patch.

And that is still not true. I get plenty of people willing to eat the 5 minute penalty because they feel like they're depriving me of that last hook, or the win, or whatever it is that runs through their silly brains.
The last time the DC penalty was off I was getting 1-3 DCs EVERY GAME. You need to understand that. The game wasn't playable.
Easy wins if you ask me. 3k guranteed, ayy!

What exploit?
I Googled this and found nothing. I've also literally never seen or heard of this.
GF's 'reveal' mechanics are janky.
If you teabag while stalking they just can't manage to get it. Can confirm this is a powerful exploit that combats even stretched res if you are proficient enough with your dunks. But conserve some for the downs, of course.

In the Playstation Nation (the 4th) we are basically North Korean levels of censorship. Did I play for 1 hour, or 1000 hours? Your guess is as good as the Governments. Probably somewhere in the middle if I had to speculate, but perhaps not.

I wish they would add a surrender option after 10 minutes. It would address all hostage situations and not just hacking. And there are a lot of ways the game can be held hostage. I am proud of this community for giving me such a variety of unplayable games.
-
I play her because I like her, but man, my hearing is bad. All of those years blasting full volume metal has apparently done a number on me and I guess I must be partially deaf or something. It is scary just how hard she is to play for me. I try so hard, and get so far, but in the end, it didn't even matter, they went the opposite way...
-
That statement confuses me as well, people have some really strong opinions about things they do not understand. It is not an indicator of play time, it is an indicator of proficiency toward the broken emblem system. You can always count on the Buddha to remain objective. And yet survivor mains will still say that I am not a Bodhisattva guiding them towards enlightenment. Tsk tsk. I shall remain patient and share my wisdom for those who seek nirvana.
-
Lightborn, Iron Grasp, Agitation, and Bamboozle. Strongest build in the game to counter survivors who do not know how to hold w and predrop. And for those, well, there is not much of a counter regardless. So I consider this the strongest build in the game and you will never see some cringe clip of ThiccBuddha getting blinded or sabo'd. I am just better than Otz in that regard. Pure skill. Gg ez.

@EagerOgre said:
Yeah. Due to MMR I stopped killing survivors. I'll shoot for two hook stages on everyone but I intentionally let everyone go. Survivors are usually nice about it, everyone gets BP, I max out my BBQ if I'm lucky, but the game SUCKS as soon as you start winning. It's not that I don't like losing, that's a normal part of a competitive game, but it's that the game becomes frustrating and unplayable once you raise your MMR.
I know what I'm doing can be considered smurfing, but I really don't have any intentions on killing survivors every again as long as the current SBMM algorithm is in place. I'd gladly sacrifice some extra BP for a playable game in exchange.
I more or less do the same on most killers. There are some I take seriously and relentlessly camp and tunnel. I actually had a survivor pretend he ran me for 3 gens and I had to kindly explain to him that hanging on a hook doesn't count as running me. Lol. Odd creatures they are.
But yeah, if I accidentally kill someone on say Spirit, it gives me a feeling of dread. I am so bad at her even when the survivors wouldn't qualify as potato.

You don't really need to be that good... I don't know what you consider average swf tho.
As long there is weak link, swf is not that bad, but what if there is not any and everyone can loop you for more than 60 seconds, most killers are screwed against that.
We had post from soloQ players tracking their escape rate and some had over 60%, which is really good for soloQ. So I can use same argument and say that not all soloQ players have problem to handle killers.
All solo queue survivors who cry about camping definitely need help. That much is obvious. The ones who understand the game aren't really the ones crying though. Listen to them try and debunk doing gens. I wish I could tell you it was hilarious. But it actually makes me physically cringe so hard that I am not comfortable enough laughing at it.

I get disconnects when I play her and I am probably one of the worst Spirit players. I need Stridor on an injured Bill to get a hit out of my power.
I never play against her anymore, so I cannot even comment on the nerf from a survivor perspective.

Yes, the same people who are drawing conclusions from a test they didn't even watch.
At least blind data is still better than just trying to prop up your idea of a survivor-sided game on 'we all know I'm right'.
That was not what I said. I stated that the greatest asset to a killer was the fact that most survivor mains are sussy baka. I was telling people that tunneling and camping were the strongest strategies a killer had at their disposal when I was like one week into the game and all of these people who were playing for years were genuinely convinced camping and tunneling lost you games.
I am not sure if you play killer, but if you did, surely you know what I am talking about. All of the gens fly before you have a foothold in the game, and then you get your hook and 3 of them rush the hook when the gates are 99. Right? They gift you that opportunity. Rarely do they ever just leave that guy to die.
That is what I am talking about. If you know you know. I suspect if and when that happens to you... I guess you don't snowball and they just pull him off and leave. But when they do that to a good killer, 2k at least. A draw from a game where you got destroyed. Who would have guessed?

'We all know I am right' sounds like sheer desperation. I think people are starting to realise you aren't.
Yes, the same people who are drawing conclusions from a test they didn't even watch. What am I desperate about? Proving that survivors who did gens before anyone reached second state still lose because they make horrible decisions? Yes. I am so desperate. I care so much about how bad survivors are at the game. You can really tell how concerned I am by how intimidated I am by survivors. It is all I post about, all of my losses. Complaining about mmr. Talking about how I want to quit because of it.
That is what my posts are all about. A huge storied history of crying about how survivors constantly wreck me and how my tunneling and camping never work. I think everyone knows that I never advocate for those strategies because... Honestly, I went so sarcastic that I forgot what the point was.
-
@solidhex said:
the problem is tunneling and camping, i'm saying for a long time we need something like DS and BT basekit and then balance the game around this. It would solve a lot of toxicity. I'm sure a lot of the killer doesn't want to play like this but whenever i do i feel like i have to against a decent team in order to win.
It's way too strong in pub matches against solos.
https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/2749899#Comment_2749899
nah, it's not easy to deal with if you can't communicate and 5 gens aren't done in one camping session. Only because some tournament teams can play around it doesn't mean it's easy to deal with. I play both sides and i know how easy a game is where you tunnel someone out early. It's nearly impossible to lose as killer if you get someone killed at 3 gens
It obviously depends on the skill level, but at high mmr, there is no excuse. They deserve to get 4k'd so they get to a level they can manage a little better. That is WHY we have MMR. Otz did those survivors a favor.
-
@legrosporc69 said:
Anyway its not like reporting do a lot it take so much time for a report that its not that worth the time
Report what? Using a perk? Who could even tell the difference between a hack and validation? Whoever thinks they can is a clown.
-
@Firellius said:
What that challenge is highlighting is that camping, tunnelling and slugging aren't just unfun strategies, they're also really hard to deal with on average.
For all the talk on the forums about the game being survivor sided, if the killers decide to play to the absolute most they can, with no regard for how fun the game is, the game suddenly swings in the complete opposite direction. It doesn't say much about balance other than the one thing that Otz said when he presented the results of this experiment: The game is sweaty-sided. Those who play purely for the win with no regard for enjoyment of themselves or others are generally favoured.
I think the best takeaway from this would be that the game needs some overhauling to reduce the power of the most powerful strats on both sides. It can't just be survivors that give up power here, the experiment shows that something must be done about the most powerful killer strategies.
Not true. They are easy to deal with, but survivors are altruistic to a fault. They can roll a killer and still get team wiped during EGC because they refuse to let the single hook go. Lol.
But yes, tunneling and camping are the second strongest tool a killer has. It pales in comparison to the average survivors game sense, however. Let's be real. No sugar coating the truth... We all know I am right.

But literally.... the system is bad and its impossible to argue that it's not. Any logical standpoint will not think "you kill more means you do better regardless of how you or your opponent actually played". And if the system has to work like that then why even have the system in the first place. Also they called it "skill based matchmaking"... whats so skilled about holding m1 on a gen and having someone else distract the killer for you? Was that escape really "skill based"? No cause anyone that looks at the word skill will NEVER have that come to their mind and the person(s) who actually stalled the killer and died dont go up in mmr but down. Like this game isnt suited for mmr especially with the heinous system they made that took them TWO YEARS. Like honestly out of the thousands of posts/comments ive seen from mmr you're the first one to call it "not bad". Also there is no "how the system actually works" when its been explained to us how it exactly works.
It is because MMR is a scapegoat for the problems with the game. So of course everyone blames it for everything. Bubba mains are just built different, sorry, but that's the truth.
-
I used it for a challenge once.
