You must not be very good with your bottle tosses. Clown can make almost any loop in the game unsafe, especially with bamboozle and bleach or ether add-ons.
And with brutal you cut through all the pallets at lightning speed. His main weakness is needing to reload every chase, and having no mobility. But his chase is some of the best in the game if you can land the bottles.
Just bcs he is harder to loop, doesn't mean he is unwinible. He has 0 map pressure and survivors above rank 8 understand how to loop against clown. Thats why he is the weakest killer.

As soon as it stops being worked it, ruin starts regressing it again. Theres no time that youd be able to kick the gen with Ruin active.
But do I need to kick it? Bcs PGTW synergizes with surge too. So it SHOULD work, right?
-
Oh wait, I can use it. But I need to get in time to a gen that is beeing worked on and if they stop repairing it should've the PGTW effect on it, right?

No. You cant kick a gen that is already regressing.
So I can't use PGTW until my ######### hex is gone?

Hi!
Just wanted to address one common concern I've seen from the community. "They nerfed Ruin so it wouldn't be hard for new Survivors."
That's not quite what the intention was. This is subtle, but bear with me.
New Ruin is in fact really brutal for new Survivors... because it is insidious. They have no idea what's happening, and they struggle to get gens done at all. That little zap effect when you take your hands off a gen? Barely noticable to a new player who's panicing because of the L3 Terror Radius they are hearing. It's not even noticable that the gen is regressing twice as fast as if the Killer had damaged it.
What we wanted to do was not "make it easy for new players" but "make it less frustrating for new players". In playtests with newer Survivor players, it was 4k with 4 or 5 gens up almost every time. But they didn't hate their time in the game as much because those red skill checks weren't in their faces.
I'm looking forward to playing on the PTB with some of you tomorrow; see you in the Fog!
Can you still kick a generator?

Of course. Survivors can have perks too that create a obsession *looking at DS*.

There are a lot of things it effects that aren't in the tooltip. Such as chest searching, exit gate opening, totem cleansing and yes vaulting.
Wasn't that already nerfed?
-
DS is imo in a good spot. Most of my trials I don't get ds'd, because, surprise, I don't tunnel the ######### out of people in rank one. And I don't need to. And if I tunnel them, because they run into me, then I slug them. Like jesus, guys, it's just 60 seconds.
"The survivors can do whatever they want in that 60 seconds and that is totally unfair" - if they run into a locker, then fck it. Depending on the time, wait until its gone or trap the locker or eat the damn ds, because those chases aren't even long (that depends on the map) or leave it god damned. They are wasting time, if you don't play like a damn potato like 60% of these killer mains actually are.
You gain so much pressure by slugging or chasing a different person, if it is not too long. And we actually don't have a perk that is broken like we had in the past. DS is in a good spot, NOED too, spirit fury too, Enduring is okay (I still wish it would reduce the stun time a little bit, but idc) and so on and on. Instead of crying for nerfs, how about buffing bad ones? Like the heartbeat perks (Unnerving etc.) or monstrous shrine.
The only problem I see is, that we have too less perks that effect the gameplay in a good way. I still want my open handed buff (People that are near to you in 8 metres, have the same aura-reading ability like you have and perks like leader etc have a bigger range)
-
I don't care what killer you will use, with what add-on or offering and I don't care about the survivors.
I get why you you are maybe proud or just happy, but I think it's kinda pathetic to post this in a forum.
Like what are you trying to achive. I don't see any survivors do the same. Because this is bullshit for both sides.
And by the way, nice KYF Lobby. Some people here in this forum has some real issues.

I disagree, I find it a problem of the perk since it's the one of two exhaustion perks that don't follow the exhaustion rule. It was a problem and I'm very happy it's fixed.
Which is the second perk?

Lately, I have been seeing many posters and streamers talking about various aspects of DBD (spirit, NOED) as not being fun. This usually leads to people asking for nerfs.
The problem is that fun is way too subjective. I, as killer, do not have “fun” getting looped and genrushed etc... but I’m not going to ask for nerfs based on that. Rarely do people have fun when they lose, which means salt should probably be disregarded and not used as feedback. Just a thought.
Soo.. keys don't need a nerf or instaheals? Valid point, I see! not

Well, this is hard to do, because the problem with Spirit is not her power, it's that she's uninteractive to play against.
Everything you listed as problem isn't a problem because they're uninteractive. They're a problem because they are overpowered or contribute to another problem that helps make something more overpowered. They are two different types of issues that aren't related to each other.
Spirit doesn't need to be "balanced" in terms of strength. She needs to be balanced in the form that it needs to be an interactive for both sides of the field -- not just one.
Nobody argued that Spirit was better than Nurse (before she got nerfed, anyway), but people still found Nurse less frustrating to play against. Why? She was clearly stronger -- hell of a lot stronger than Spirit. Yet she was far more fun to play against. So why?
Because you can see when she is using her power. You can see how long she is charging a blink for, so you can gauge the distance she's gonna go. You can see which direction she is aiming for her blink. If she fakes a blink by aiming down, you still had time to react to move out of the way.
With this information, the survivor has the knowledge to make a proper informed counterplay. That is two players interacting with each other. That's what a PvP game is primarily all about; outplaying another person is usually why people play a PvP game. This is sorely missing when playing against Spirit, though. Even if the survivor successfully evades a Spirit, none of that elation that normally comes from outplaying other killers is there. At least it sure isn't for me. This makes her incredibly boring to play against for me, even if I am constantly evading her.
Everyone who defends Spirit keeps going back to the argument that people want her nerfed because she's overpowered. No. It's because she's incredibly boring to play against. That's all it is. Comparing Spirit to the problems you listed in the opening post is like trying to compare a carrot to a bunch of different fruit.
This thread basically boils down to again, being another strawman for Spirit which I again don't understand.
I said it in another thread and I'll say it here: Spirit is going to be nerfed not because of the people who don't like Spirit are saying to nerf her. It will be from the people trying to defend her continue to insist that the people who don't like her want her nerfed.
Couldn't agree more

This game has always favored killers.
Survivors do gens too fast ? Killers get Ruin
Survivors heal too fast ? Nerf that healing speed.
Survivors have good perks ? Exhaustion
Survivors have good addons ? BNP and now instaheal, gone
Survivors play with their friend = match against the highest tier killer
Survivors DLC have good perks ? No
And so it goes...
That doesn't even make sense.
What do you think, why do they nerf survivors? Because the game IS survivor sided atleast in high rank.
But I still agree that this game is heavily unfriendly for new players.
-
I would like the idea of adding 1 Generator, the game starts with all Hooks sabotaged for 180 seconds (and hooks are 30 seconds longer sabotaged) or remove one Hook in the trial.
Something that is strong but not stupid. I would all ideas not stackable except the the remove one hook thing.
I mean we already had a offering that removed one hook, but they've changed it to decreasing the spawn distance.
-
I play in Europe and my Ping was always great + Waiting for a lobby was reduced. It was a great experience for me tbh

But also the reason why the chances to lose against spirit is higher because of that reason is it not? When she has her power ready, and whether she is faking her power or not, that loop becomes her area to control and it is best to leave it and go to another loop
And if you try to leave the area you are already dead. There is nothing that you can do.
-
Imo she is the most unfun killer to go against even tho I really like her.
But it is so disappointing that you can't outplay her. If you "loop" her, she is gonna stand still to "mindgame" you or she is using her power or she is waiting to recover her power. Stealth isn't an option, cause she doesn't need perks for the chase, so she can easily choose between anti-gen, -heal or -stealth perks. Iron will is not gonna counter a good spirit. Not to forget that she can see your scratch marks so it doesn't matter. And we still didn't talked about her Addons.
It's like ScottJund said, there is nothing you can do in many situations. Even a nurse is more enjoyable, cause you can atleast see her.
I just wished that she wouldn't be that kind of braindead killer. If she would give more information (looking at the standing still "mechanic") and if she wouldn't have collision, she would be fine imo (besides some addons).

I think the problem with pig is that you need to decide, if you want to play with the ambush or with the traps.
Because the other part will be not useful without addons. I don't understand why pig needs so long for her to crouch. Tbh I hope they will buff her any time soon.

Doesn't mean it can get a buff.
It's quite simple: Whenever a survivor is cleansing a dull totem, they get alerted that Thrill of the Hunt is a perk that the killer is running. What I propose is that it doesn't alert the survior that Thrill of the Hunt is a thing until they start cleansing a HEX totem.
Even if they don't get the notification, they still know you're running TotH, 'cause it slows down the cleansing speed. I have nothing against a buff, but this doesn't seem to do it for me.
Right now, it's a perk that helps you to protect your Hexes. Just making it a non-Hex:Totem is huge buff. They wouldn't get the notification but as I said, they can see or atleast feel that the cleansing speed is slower.
-
tbh I don't get what you are trying to explain. Right now Hex: Thrill of the Hunts gives more BP, increases the cleansing time for Hex: Totems and gives a notification for them. What do you want?

Alright let’s say you have a key. You get downed or are injured somewhere and killer decides to close hatch. Now you’re back up with a speed boost and you just pop open that hatch again in front of the killer, asserting your dominance.
I'm not using a key, so no.

Why even bother with Wake up?
If the killer is closing the hatch, you can open faster the exit gates.
So you have a higher chance to escape the killer.
-
Finally this perk has a use.
-
I dont mind the player behind it. And I think spirit is a great designed killer, but I personally enjoy a nurse more than a spirit. You can just "outplay" a spirit with unbalanced strong loops. If you don't she will fck u up with her braindead plays. Nurse need skills and mindgames. Spirit just needs add ons and thats it.
I would enjoy her more, if she wouldn't have collision. That would be enough for me to deal with her and enjoy the match more.
-
Im in love with Joey. Thanks BHVR :w: <3

No. Disagree.
If no other items can be used in dying state, keys shouldn’t be able to be used to open the hatch either. It’s already enough that a dying survivor can crawl into an open hatch or through an open exit gate.
Keys are already a contentious, frustrating issue for killers. It’ll just exacerbate this issue if killers successfully close the hatch only to have it be an intended feature that dying survivors can still open it.
Do you really want longer survivor lobby wait times because of more and more reasons players don’t want to play killer?
I agree with the first part, but the rest seems like someone is triggered .
Tbh, it would be stupid if you can open the hatch in dying state. And I feel like survivors should lose their items on the ground if they get downed.
But keys are rare to get like moris, you can barely find them in chests and as a killer you can pull survivors out of the hatch if they use a key. And the conditions for spawning the hatch are not that easy or atleast that fast.
Don't act like no one plays the killer just because you can't get over stuff. Their is a reason why killers have to wait some time or longer for a lobby.

In the end, tying perks to certain characters would mean people would only play a few characters from the entire roster. People would never play anything else but survivors with at least 1 meta perk (David, Meg, Laurie, etc)
It would become very rare to see someone play as, say, Quentin or Ash for example.
Survivors need to stay as skins. It's already almost too much that some are louder while injured than others.
Lol I see no difference. I bearly see any Quentin or Ash even tho they are skins. I actually think that people would play more different character than now. You are not missing anything, you're getting more. Nearly every character/killer has atleast one good perk.
-
@Aven_Fallen said:
Would not be good, neither for Killers nor Survivors.
For Survivors, it would create a Meta.
Some Characters would be much stronger than others. E.g. Meg, Nea, Jake, Laurie, Bill, David would be quite strong, but others like Ace, Kate or Jane would be kinda weak. And if people already have a Main, to be competitive, they would need to change it. I would not have any problem with that, I main Nea, so I would be happy about a free Balanced Landing. But it is quite boring to see Lobbies with the same Survivors all the time.
For Killers, it is the same. Some Killers might benefit from that (e.g. Clown or Leatherface, free BBQ or PGTW is great), others not so much (Wraith or Doc for example). And already strong Killers can really profit from that (Nurse-->Free Nurses, Spirit-->Free Haunted Ground (not that strong, but nice to have), Billy-->Free Enduring, Hag-->Free Ruin). Like, I use BBQ, Whispers, Enduring and PGTW on my Billy. But that would give me the chance to get either Spirit Fury or Ruin, which would make this build a lot stronger. And that is nothing that is really needed.
Tbh I can see from where this is coming from and I understand your opinion, but I would like to see this on the ptb, so everyone can see that a kinda 5thslot is actually overpoweref or not, so no one needs to ask this ever again.
-
@FriendlyGuy said:
If this Idea applies on killers only its a great idea to balance the game. Then it would be a 5:16 instead of a 4:16. But a 5:20 is clearly not good.
On Survivor everyone would just go Meg, Bill, Laurie or David for obvious reasons.
I would be fine if only killers would get it at some point. At least it something that we could test on the ptb.
-
@IMhereRUN said:
I like how you don’t mention anything about killers lol. Survivors already have a heavy advantage in this game, a 5th perk would be OP for the killer and survivor both.
Limited perks are available so you have to strategize your gameplay accordingly.
Yeah, because it the idea was with one example already clear, lol.
And we are still limited with this idea. But with getting more and more perks, more perks are getting less used etc.
And no, a 5thperkslot is not doing anything more OP as it already is.

I personally was more fine with the old noed than the new one because the old one you could counter it by yourself, the new one is depended on yourself + your team mates.
Your are speaking of the second version.
The original NOED had a unlimited timer, increased movement and increased attackcooldown.
The second one had the same effect but for two minutes.
And the third one, our version, is the hex: version with increased movement speed and unlimited time until his hex is cleansed.
-
The only problem that I have with Hex: No One Escapes Death is, that it increases your movement speed. Imo it should just give you the exposed-effect. Then It's a balanced perk.
Just the increased movement speed is a problem and feels unrewarding for me. But NOED has enough counters. It doesn't need more and I don't understand, why some people are still crying.

Okay, then I am fine with it too. But just to clear things up: If everyone is fine with playing again, do they come back to the fire and plan their setup like normally or do they play with the same setup until they cancel the matchup?
