  • im a die hard killer main and tbh I think the game is in a pretty good spot. A lot of problematic things on both sides have been nerfed. I do still think there could be some number tweaks, but besides that im pretty happy rn

The 48m only applies around a pallet.  Guards phased through dropped pallets previously which removed some counterplay opportunities. We had to readdress how Guards interacted with them so that players could counter. 48m is the range in which the pathing guard will give up the chase to give the Knight his power back, and does not change the hunt time.

Knight already had so much counter play. Why does he need more?

  • That’s the thing, the guards always went around pallets when pre-dropped. The only time they wouldn’t is when the survivor dropped it ontop of the guard. Basically, what they said in the patch notes is what he’s been doing, which is why I’m scared to see what they have done

  • ps5 player here. I've been finding success with the judgement too… but only when im using the brown alter add-on that makes her power easier. I don't want to end up dependinding on it, so as a console player, do you have any tips on improving? especially closer range

Yeah I would do the same, now I'm using Kanekis and Onis screams as a measurement.

idk why but I find this funny lol

  • I mean I guess it couldn’t hurt, but I don’t think this would be a huge qol. Its also worth mentioning that games that do have the difficulty ratings are, more often than not, completely wrong. Rivals and for honor and examples of this

LOL getting downvoted for simply showing that you don’t have a super long killer queue time. Some people here get mad at anything that doesn’t fit their preferred narrative even if it’s indisputable real-life evidence that you just showed.

I’m glad I’m not the only one that was thinking this. This isn’t even a “them vs us” thing it’s just a wait time lol

  • The times are a lot quicker in NA. The first pic I took around 3pm (or 15:00) and the second was taken at 10pm (22:00)

Killer queues times are higher than I can ever remember in the years I’ve been playing this game. 2v8 queue times have always been long for killers, but in this most recent version I’ve been consistently seeing times between 30-40 minutes, way higher than ever before. 1v4 mode killer queue times are also much longer than I’ve ever seen them.

In my personal experience, the killer side doesn’t feel overly easy. I regularly get matched against good survivors who know how to loop and coordinate and most of my matches require a lot of skill and effort to have a decent chance of winning.

On the survivor side, my most frustrating matches aren’t due to killers being overly strong, but regularly getting matched with teammates who are just bad at the game. The average teammate often gets downed very quickly and doesn’t have good game sense to know what to do in certain situations. When I have competent teammates, the matches are almost always enjoyable even if we lose. But it has been this way for me for a long time and that is not something that is new that would explain the increased queue time imbalance.

The overall killer vs survivor balance seems to be in a good spot based on my experience playing both sides, so I don’t know how to explain what’s going on. Has anything fundamentally changed with game balance recently that is making the game less fun and competitive for survivor players? Is it still because of Jason bringing a lot more people than usual to the killer side? Something else entirely?

I’m hoping to get thoughts on what is causing this from people who play both sides regularly and not the divisive “it’s because BHVR hates survivor players” type of comments that aren’t helpful.

idk when there's not a new killer or an event my killer ques are like 30 seconds. less even

Some Gates are placed so bad that you basically had to give up and die to Endgame Collapse somewhere in Main, but what if for the last survivor alive, once powered, the Exit Gates slowly progress so that they are at 80% after around 2 minutes. The other 20% you have to do yourself but at least you have a better chance than Killer basically getting the kill

Ok, it’s true that some maps gates really benefit killer. But it’s a lot more likely that they are far apart and benefit survivors. If it’s a map with far apart gates it’s just a guarantee win. At this point in the match, the killer has won and they found the hatch. Survivors don’t need ANOTHER last chance escape

  • Vigil was op, and sprint burst was a little overturned. I think that giving it an activation requirement would have been much better than just nerfing the value, but that’s just me. I do think the deli nerf was a bit much. It’s really strong in swfs but usually isn’t a game changer

  • I’ve seen and like the camera idea. I think it incentivizes survivors to use the doors (which the devs want) while also buffing springtraps stealth (could be a nerf if the survivors are on top of the cams). Everything else you list is kinda overwhelming, but my ideas for buffs that are actually in the realm is possibilities is to make his axe travel faster while in the air and giving survivors a speed decrease when they pull out the axe, similar to Jason. Maybe instead of 10% it’s 5% because the animation is longer for springtraps axe. And I think his axe needs a speed buff due to how easy it is to dodge while it’s in the air,.

Ive just been normal queing. I did for last years. They just cant get a event fun for both apparently it always has to be such a shift. "Survivors get fragile pallets. Killers get instadown on command,tp hook, and tp pallet break" then this year. See above lol poison vs 10 survivor effects. (Though the poison if I play billy i see the effectiveness. Just poison them and free insta down). Only thing that sucks this one is the cake nerf. I have all characters at least p6 with like 3 p100s so bp is a meme but I still just like to see big cake number. And with most offerings being bad I run it to help the less fortunate to catch up to me hopefully eventually.

I think the reason for the much larger outcry is because of the power gap. In the masquerade, the main things killers got were remote break, which was very strong, and remote hooks, which was a really nice time savor. If I remember correctly, survivors got the party pallets and the ability to block windows. The remote hooks didn’t help in chase, so it’s basically remote breaks vs brittle pallets and block windows in chases. This is still in the killers favor, but at least the survivors end didn’t feel like an afterthought. I also enjoyed the mind games with the party pallets too, for both sides imo. However, for this event survivors get a plethora of busted abilities. Global heals, UNBREAKABLE pallets, party pallets that will become regular pallets during the dessert, dead hard on crack, invisibility, and budget sprint burst. Killers get a side graded clown bottle. The power gap is much larger than it ever was for the masquerade. When one side literally feels forgotten, that’s when it becomes a problem.

  • I’m pretty sure Myers’ instadown has been changed to a special attack, and not an M1 with exposed. If he runs the tuft of hair though the global exposed notification siphon be there.

  • I’ve been playing Bubba and using the poison to get free downs.

  • I’m a killer main but my surv main is Vittorio. I love the medieval time period, and even tho his base outfit isn’t time accurate, he does have some nice medieval/renaissance themed outfits.

Turn back the clock for starters, it became a wraith META perk, but I shouldn't need to explain to someone who can't do a little research on their own without a bigger content creator telling them how to play the game.

Turn back the clock and hive mind are the first actual meta defining perks that still exist since no where to hide. Everything else released recently is bad, too niche, or required other perks to work.
