Hitting a Survivor with a Shred. Never gets old

Let overcome applies when you have bt.
Sure, that'd once and for all solidify my opinion on Overcome being the second best Exhaustion Perk

I agree.
We should start complaining about specific mains instead, not generalize a side.
I'll start:
Huntress mains: Why you gotta practice your hatchet throws when I'm on the hook? It's clearly not working against moving targets.
Ace mains should focus more on doing gens instead of moonwalking.
Spirit mains should focus on maining a better Killer, like Demogorgon

Ok

I said slowdown/stalling perks. I don't have much of a problem with noed tbh. Actually I wouldn't have a problem with it at all of it wasn't for slowdown perks that make it almost impossible to "do bones" and finish all the gens too, if the killer has any idea of what they're doing. Ah yeah, that counterplay you mentioned doesn't work much because there are some spawns that you simply won't come across while doing gens only)
Anyway my biggest problem right now as a single perk is DMS, but overall it's how well stalling perks synergize together, especially PR + DMS (-15% + up to 45 seconds = 55% gen progress)/Pop (-15 + (-25)%). Luckily, people are seriously underestimating how strong pentimento is too, because other than the 30% slowdown, there's the passive slowdown of having to cleanse twice totems (finding them + going to them). If someone gets hooked close to the rekindled totem, that's a free ticket to camping, and survivors don't even have the option of "doing gens" anymore as a single gen now requires ~120 seconds to complete.
Basically, slowdown perks by themselves aren't even that strong/they're ok. But put together they're just too strong
PR+DMS is only a problem if Survivors don't know how to counter it.
Get off the Generator before a Survivor gets hooked, and then get back on it.
Pentimento isn't really underrated. It requires Survivors to cleanse Totems for it to work, which most of them don't, thanks to the new Boon Perks.
Sure, it works with other Perks, but it's only useful when you run 2/3 Perks along with it, which is a whole build, just for Pentimento to work

How dare you put Demogorgon this low

I could name a few
Please do, but please refrain from talking about NOED. It's counterplay, that being remembering the positions of Totems and searching for them once the last Generator has been finished, is well-known

"You can't get camped or tunneled if you don't go down" was the first sentence in the comment that @MikaleaWantsYourBoon replied to though.
The "...select top tier killer" part was a few comments up, so it is easily to miss, if you don't remember each comment's content and author in a thread.
OpenX even mentioned the post he was talking about as well as asking "What does the first sentence I said in this thread say?", specifically talking about the first sentence from his first post
-
"Hatch was funny. We could 3-Gen ourselves, and easily escape because we brought/found an Item in a Chest with no counterplay"

UB/DS/BT are meta because they're bandaids to design flaws in the game. New meta perks would have to do the same job, better, at which point the previous ones would just become unused too. CoH is a great example, as it was busted.
Anyway, I'll be that guy: killers can't have new meta perks either (slowdowns). They have tons already, and stacking them up is extremely overwhelming especially for soloq (but also for normal swfs).
Arguably, all killer meta perks in the game should be toned down, while only survivors meta perk that aren't bandaiding anything should be toned down (DH, CoH - which needs a rework, not a number change, others (?)).
I wouldn't mind toning meta Killer Perks down, if there were any that needed toning down.

Poor Trapper

I think that's fair

I'd really like to see a perk added that better addresses the issue of face camping. Heck, buff Kinship and I'd use it more. I feel like if they did that it could be partially meta but not broken hopefully. Either way I want something to help make face camping not feel so awful.
I don't think there could be a Perk that makes Face-Camping suck less, that wouldn't also be broken or barely do anything

You joke but given how the spaghetti code works sometimes I fully anticipate this happening
I wasn't joking. I'm 100% sure something will break as soon as they touch the Twins' code in any way

"You can't get camped and tunneled if you don't go down."
Great advice! All survivors can make run killer forever. And yeah, i agree arguing with you looks pointless. Have a nice day.
Survivors don't really even need meta perks, outside going against a few select top tier killers.
This was the first sentence from @OpenX. I disagree with it, but "You can't get camped and tunneled if you don't go down." wasn't their first sentence

@OpenX said:
https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/318571/survivors-cant-get-new-meta-perks
Survivors don't really even need meta perks, outside going against a few select top tier killers. Most of the survivor's power is built into the mechanics of the game itself. Survivor power is pallets and windows.
If survivors slam gens, even something like Parental Guidance is strong enough because outright losing the survivor after a semi-long chase can be a game-losing event; especially if it's the first chase of the game.
BT/DS are only needed if the survivors are poor loopers or going against a tunneling Nurse or something.
I wouldn't say DS and BT aren't needed, as camping and tunneling can hurt a team quite hard if they're not using DS/BT

The skill as killer in press forward until you’re next of a survivor and press a button also. And that’s without bloodlust.
Yes.
DbD is a very skilless game, most will agree.
There's only a few things that require skill, those being looping, playing Hillbilly, Nurse and Blight.
Everything else is game knowledge

I'm waiting for the day the devs rework Twins and somehow break Demogorgon and give him an instadown Shred

Cause there are dozens of killer mains (maining a specific killer) that have no issue to play their character. Cause, you know, theyre really good players. Just because majority players is bad and cant utilize a killer to its fullest, it doesnt mean killers characters are bad. Like even myself has a 3k average as trapper main and I still dont belong to those really good players, but on a good mmr (and i can say that cause i know to assess survivor abilitys) i know how to play well enough without being a jerk. any other killer i would probably have struggles, cause i dont main them. and mostl people just complain cause they not good at all but want to ahve easy games with no effort. i see this daily while playing survivor, where killer complain while they basically didnt know how to cut loops with their powers, and just blame gen speed and swf. Its pathetic.
"git gud. I can 4k as Trapper with 0 Perks or Add-on at high MMR without tunneling and camping"

No. I win. But Demogorgon

I'm all for strengthening the nut
-
Map design is a problem. There's not a single DbD player that thinks Maps aren't a problem
-
Sure, only if 2 Items could be brought into The Trial and only 1 of them could be a Medkit, Common rarity max, and would heal in 24 seconds, instead of 16
EDIT: Haha, unfun is the reason something should be nerfed go brrr

I actually love Midwich as survivor, unless it's a Nurse for obvious reasons.
Good luck against a good Demogorgon on that Map.
A good Portal spread means the Demogorgon will be able to go on every side of the Map quite easily.
Shred is bonkers. Hallways aren't wide enough to dodge it and the Shred hit-box means you'll get hit even if you hide behind a Locker
-
Use Tinkerer. It does Merciless Storm's job way better
-
It's a more consistent Ruin with better synergy. You don't have to run Hex: Undying to use it, you could use PGTW instead for even more slowdown

So I don't know if you have Netflix but there's a six season how to train your dragon show on Netflix. And in one episode Tuffnut and Ruffnut start blabbering about symbiosis. So I just pulled an image from that episode where they were talking about symbiosis
Fair enough
-
I like the Power. It's doesn't really seem unbalanced, nor are the Perks but I have 1 question.
Why are Ruffnut and Tuffnut in the Perk icon for Symbiosis?

If you look at sluzzy's assumed steam profile, you'll find they play hell a lot of billy too, which I wouldn't consider top tier
That's besides the point of their conclusions, to which one can agree or disagree. You disagree for example, while I agree for the most part
Billy for sure isn't top tier, but he's high B tier, so I wouldn't be surprised if Sluzzy has a pretty good record with him
-
Fellow Demogorgon main?
Anyway, the game is in a fine state. The most problematic Boon, Boon: Circle Of Healing, will be nerfed in the upcoming Mid-Chapter, so it's not going to be that big of a problem anymore
-
I don't use gibberish when I "insult" someone, but "Claudette main" is usually one of my go-to's when it comes to bad players
-
@Nathan13 said:
I can’t believe you’re a nurse main.
It's pretty believable if you ask me.
Since Sluzzy mains Nurse, they probably don't have that big of a problem when it comes to playing Killer, which leads to the "Game is easy for Killers" mindset.
Since they also play mostly, or always, SoloQ, they'd also believe that SoloQ is the absolute weakest "side" of the game.
I disagree with both points, but it's interesting to see how a thought process can develop
-
Not a Survivor main.
Dead Hard requires a small amount of skill to use properly, as to not Dead Hard into a wall
-
I've seen a lot more posts asking for easy 4Es than asking for easy 4Ks
-
I'll let my bias pick Demogorgon.
- Has a base Power that allows for multiple playstyles, unlike most base Killer Powers, who only have 1 reliable way to play, unless they're running Add-ons
- Add-ons that are good, and some Add-on combinations allow for completely different playstyles
- Of The Abyss can be used by both experienced and beginners, as Portals are easy to use for basic mobility and Shred is easy to use as a zoning tool, but can he used more aggressively by more experienced players that know all the different timings and distances
- Is a cute puppy
-
Haven't seen all the new rankings but I'm pretty sure they're more accurate to new players than more experienced ones
-
Fengs are among the weakest players on the team but the ones to click their Flashlight the most

i replied to everything in ur post but ok
if you think using dead hard for distance is op you're gonna uninstall when you find out smash hit, sprint burst, lithe and balanced landing exists they give u 4 5 times the amount of distance...
Another one I've seen was "Dead Hard doesn't give as much distance as other Exhaustion Perks, like Sprint Burst", which is true, Dead Hard gives less distance, but it depends when Exhaustion Perks are used.
Dead Hard is the only Exhaustion Perk that can reliably extend chases after the Killer already put in time into the chase, which is stronger than either denying chase, or ending the chase before the Killer got their first hit.
I can't tell if you're trolling or you can't read
-
You tunnel the weakest Survivor of the team. You can "chill" from there

the only thing i would change with deadhard is that it doesnt give you i frames but on the other hand that would make it useless since all other perks gives u 4x the distance
and overcome better than sprintburst... i dont agree chainsaw killers can completely counter overcome and you have to be injured meaing plague and legion counters it pretty damn well too...
Ah, I love when someone ignores my whole post, explaining how the distance from Dead Hard is different from any other Exhaustion Perk.
I mean, Killers with an instadown somewhat "counter" Dead Hard, so it's not that big of a deal.
Yes, Plague counters Overcome, and Dead Hard too, so yet again, not that big of a draw back

Correct. Confirmed in the Q&A stream.
However, Patrick stressed it would not be anytime soon.
The earliest it will probably come out is either at the end of 2022 or some time in 2023, probably around the Anniversary

The argument never was "good" game. It was literally about "destroyed", in your post just like in my reply to it. You're moving the goal post.
The bp score shows that there was interaction, not even Doc or Legion, let alone Demo, can make that much without getting something going.
All the rest are conjectures on your part. I can make up some my own. Devour gets cleansed early and Demo decides to facecamp and tunnel the dead guy. While the others do their best to go for altruism.
See, conjectures. Just as good as any.
We're both missing the context, so your guess is as good as mine
EDIT: It would've been great if we got an actual video of the game and not a screenshot with a Map Offering for a Survivor-Sided Realm, 1 Demogorgon with meh Perks and 4 Survivors with stacked Perks, and then proclaiming that the Survivor meta "isn't that good outside of a SWF"
-
@Bwsted said:

I see a 24k bp Demo and a 7k bp dead survivor. Someone got absolutely destroyed, but it wasn't the Demo who's running top tier add ons but gamble perks.
With that being said, I disagree with OP overall.
I don't understand the argument of "A lot of BP means the match was good", like no? Most Killers get a lot of Bloodpoints just by using their Power a lot, Demogorgon being one of them.
Also, see how the Survivor that brought the Map Offering is the one that had the least amount of Bloodpoints?
Survivors who bring Map Offerings, especially Survivor-Sided Maps like Coldwind, are the ones with the highest chance of killing themselves if something doesn't go their way.
Without any further context, what I think happened was:
Demogorgon gets 3 Stacks of Devour Hope around the time 3-4 Generators get finished, downs the Survivor with the Map Offering, and then they sacrifice themselves.
The remaining Survivors cleanse the Devour Hope and get a 3E

I have a question.
If you know Im the only survivor who has Zero 2nd chance, would you tunnel me?
I saw many killers telling they will tunnel because everyone use Meta, though they never answer this when I ask them.
Yes. A quick kill is always nice
-
Because it's the best Perk in the game
