You've been playing since 2007? Sigma grind.
Yes, small pp hackers are bad

I think the point of this is saying that you have one gen left only one survivor on death hook and three healthy survivors. If you want to risk the 1k for a 4k go for it. If you want to slug go for it but don't cry when it doesn't work out cause someone had DH or unbreakable or even the boon that lets all get up. Your fault not theirs.
The post had nothing to do with Perks.
It was about Killers and how they should accept the 2k or 3k because "they don't need it", unlike Survivors and how they should finish all Generators

BHVR Balances on casual bracket anyways. By their standards, These mistake filled matches is peak DBD.
They don't balance the game around any bracket. They nerfed Pinhead because bad Survivors didn't know how to deal with him, and then nerfed Twins because they were "overperforming" at high levels

Perfection is unattainable but there's no harm in trying.
"It's not perfect, but 'perfect' is always the enemy of 'good' , and nostalgia is the arch-nemesis of 'better'."
Don't know where I stole this from, but I like it

But like I said, if the person is on death hook, just invest that time anyway and get the kill. Let the other survivors finish the gen. Let the match end. You will still have time to get at least one more (and more if you have NOED). The only reason to not commit to that chase is if your mindset is "I need to kill everyone". And the reality is unless you're going for an achievement or challenge... you simply don't. Let the match end with 2 or 3 kills
Survivors also don't need to finish all the Generators and escape.
Why should I kill the 1 Survivor and let the rest go when I can get the 4k?

Wude seems like a different way of smurfing

Punish players for helping a teammate out.
"This would mean that survivors who had taken protection hits earlier in the trial are effectively barred from taking protection hits at the end of the trial without being put into the dying state. (Mettle of Man also gets more value.)"
The fact that it is hard enough to try and get someone off the hook at 1-0 gen or endgame collapse and now if you take a protection hit you get screwed in the process. Plain simple you should not be punished for doing one of the few things you are meant to do which is help you teammates.
Forced Penance already punishes Survivors who take Protection Hits.
This isn't the best buff for Forced Penance, I agree, but saying it punishes teamwork is a bad argument as it already does that
-
@DriplordDrew said:
No
Why not? Forced Penance isn't exactly a good Perk, and this buff won't make it any better than high B anyway
-
What's wrong with Broken? It's a fine Status Effect that doesn't need any changes
-
These seem pretty accurate when it comes to new players
-
Demogorgon not being buy-able sucks, but turning him into a skin feels like a kick in the balls for me.
"You bought Demogorgon? Well, too bad. He's now a simple skin, and his Power isn't unique to him anymore."
-
- Reduced Demogorgon's Portal amount by 2 (6->4)
"After a long look at Demogorgon, we decided that his ability to place Portals around 3 to 4 Generators, and still having a few Portals left, was a tad much. With this change, Demogorgon will still be able to protect Generators, but won't be able to also control other points of interest on the Map"
This is how you ruin Demogorgon, this and making Shred not break Pallets anymore
-
The term "stealth nerf" confuses me. Do you mean "shadownerf"?
-
Play Survivor if you want to chill.
Play Killer if you want more interaction and less downtime
-
The game can never be 100% balanced, but it could be more balanced than it is now

I was just about to say this.
Notice how it is always “distance to a pallet”, never the other 300 different scenarios in which DH sucked.
Maybe because the game shouldn't be balanced around walking potatoes that don't know how to press a button correctly?

Yes

Why should the Onryō get punished with a longer cooldown if she successfully hits a Survivor that didn't run away from her TV in time?

Lots of tasty bloodpoints to reduce the grind XD
That and the exact locations of everyone a certain distance away from you (which also lets you know if someone is close) and on certain killers (Nurse, Blight, Spirit, Onryo, Billy, Demogorgon with set portals), that information is all you need to cause a snowball
As a Demogorgon main, I'll tell you that the info from BBQ is not that good when it comes to snowballing

Meh, personally I'd argue BT and We'll Make It give me better value in a match. CoH is on par with it as is Lithe imo.
If we dive in to killer perks, BBQ, Pain resonance, Lethal Pursuer, Thanataphobia (on certain killers) give the killer better value.
Best perk in the game is highly debatable. there's plenty of perks that can give just as much or more value in one way or another
None of those are remotely close to Dead Hard. The closest one is Circle Of Healing, no Killer Perk is close to Dead Hard.
Wanna know why? Because it let's Survivors reliably 1v1 the Killer with close to no drawbacks, as being injured is something that will happen in every game

Except I literally don't use it and don't care about the perk at all
Cool, the Perk is still the best Perk in the game
-
- Nerf Dead Hard
- Decrease the size of every Map to be around the size of Coal Tower
- Nerf tunneling and camping
- Kicking a Generator regresses it by 5%. The 5% base regression increases by 2.5% every time the Killer hooks a Survivor they havent previously hooked (like BBQ Stacks) up to 4 unique Hooks
- Survivors can see the Status of other Survivors (if they're doing a Generator, cleansing/blessing a Totem, opening a Chest, healing another Survivor or healing on their own)
-
The best case scenario is used because it's the scenario that is seen the most. Dead Harding into a wall is very rare
-
5% would be better imo, 2% is too little
-
Git gud.
-
With the new directional audio, I don't think it'd be that bad

Don't sleep on the brown add on that makes TV's turn on faster. It may not be best, but it's quite good and useful, and since it's brown it's cheap and plentiful
I love Cabin Sign. It's a budget Iridescent Video Tape, but it reduces the TV cooldown by 12 seconds, down from 100 to 88, which is huge. Combine Cabin Sign with either Call Of Brine or Hex: Ruin and the TV cooldown will never make you lose a Generator
-
Kindred is practically the best Aura reading Perk in the game (imo).
Off-topic but Scourge Hook: Floods Of Rage isn't all that good. Most of the time, the Survivor will get rescued while the Killer is doing something important, which means they won't really have time to see the Auras of the Survivors

Our Ghostface is already an "original" Killer in terms of lore, so making a Tome for him wouldn't be hard

Again.. it’s like Dead Hard threads are coming up 100x in 1 week 🙄
Killers also have Scourge hook/DMS/Corrupt almost every match, but you see us survivor mains complain about that?
Yes. A lot actually, especially when it comes to PR/DMS
@Devilishly_Rowdy said:
Remember when they nerfed Ruin to the groud because they said it was being used in 90% of high rank matches? Well now Dead Hard is used by 99% of survivors in the game to the point where it feels like it's pretty much base kit, so when is the nerf coming? It doesn't feel good when you outplay and mindgame the hell out of survivors in loops but you know you can't get them because they're just gonna press E to safety. Survivors take insane amount of risks in loops because they know Dead Hard is gonna save them if the killer gets too close. Basically "press E to fix mistakes". The amount of lives this one perk saves everyday is crazy, imagine what the kill rate would be like if this get out of jail free card wasn't there. It also makes survivors completely immune to any killer powers, trapper's traps, doctor's shock therapy, huntress hatchets and everything else. Either nerf it or give the killer a perk that causes the exhausted status effect for longer. Reward skillful play! Don't give one side get out of jail free cards and press E to win perks.
Ruin was buffed
-
Play Huntress instead. Trickster has almost nothing going for him. He can down people quickly in a Dead-Zone, wow, but can't do anything at loops with a high wall. Might aswell play Trap-less Trapper, you'd get the same results, if not better, as Trapper can loop normally, unlike Trickster
-
Yes
-
Demogorgon and Steve.
Demo might not have the best Perks in the game, but he's Demogorgon so I can't complain.
Steve has pretty good Perks. They're not the best but I like Guardian and Renewal
-
Enduring, especially on Demogorgon.
It allows you dive-bomb every Pallet without a problem. It's especially good on Demogorgon, as you want to get the hit on the Survivor, and getting the Pallet down.
Honorable mention goes to Play With Your Food.
It's a fun Perk that works moderately well with Hit N Run Killers and special builds
-
Iridescent Video Tape is her best Add-on. Combine that with either Ring Drawing or Yoichi's Fishing Net and you could get a lot of Moris
-
@Sluzzy said:
Survivors need perks that actually help in a trial. And without nerfing those that might actually be used, such as Circle of Healing and Lucky Break.
It's an honor having you comment on one of my posts.
Yes, Survivors should have Perks that help them in a Trial. Problem is, is that they wouldn't be used often, because they would be weaker than the current meta. At the same time, they can't be meta, because they'd have to be as strong as the current meta, or even stronger which would be way too strong
-
SoloQ is almost perfectly fine if Survivors just knew how to play, yes

Agreed. The DbD community is the only one I've seen that complains about efficiency. Granted, I haven't been a part of many multi-player communities, but still

Killers aren't allowed to have fun. As soon as they play for their own fun and not for the Survivors, they get screamed at

The survivor meta is totaly fine. But unless killers youre forced to run perks cause the game is awfully flawed towards killer gameplay. Ah what would be the outcry if killers had to sacrifice 3 perkslots for "survivor strategies". They would cry a river and announce the game is unplayable. Instead they still justify their abuse of gameflaws and still not acknowledge how bad theyre instead.
Killers have to sacrifice 3 Perk Slots for Survivors.
Corrupt Intervention or Lethal Pursuer for the early game, which every Killer struggles
Hex: Ruin for slowdown
Hex: Undying so Ruin can do anything
Or
Corrupt Intervention/Lethal Pursuer
Scourge Hook: Pain Resonance for slowdown
Dead Man's Switch for slowdown
Or
Corrupt Intervention/Lethal Pursuer
Pop Goes The Weasel for slowdown
Call Of Brine for slowdown
I could go on, there's quite a few slowdown Perks and combos.
Survivors have to sacrifice 2 Perk Slots Max, those being DS and BT. Every other Perk slot is free
-

Camping and tunneling are the free version of ds and bt for killers
No.
They are efficient strategies. They're not Perks, they're not second chances, they are strategies used by Killers who want to win
-
@egg_ said:
https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/2896158#Comment_2896158
As i said earlier, the "second chances" are due to flawed game design that the killers use to get easier victories. When i queue as survivor i kinda want to stay in the trial for more than 2 minutes
I never complained about BT+DS, I use them myself, but they are second chances. Whether that be from "bad game design", it doesn't matter.
@dictep said:

ds and bt are second chances, but camping and tunneling are the same second chances for killers, but without using perks
Camping and tunneling aren't second chances, they're efficiency

Ah yes, the "untap the gen" strategy while facing mobility killers that will be on you in 5-10 seconds.
Pentimento *is* underrated for the simple fact that not everyone runs boons, and many times booning a hex isn't worth the time at all. And if the team you're facing is even slightly coordinated, only one of them will be running a boon, which would require them specifically to go to the hex and boon it instead of cleansing it, just to counter the possibility of running into a pentimento. And the whole build around it would most likely be ruin+undying, which is still slowdown/regression, or plaything, which is passive slowdown
Yes. Letting go off of the Generator counters PR+DMS. If you're going against a Killer with high mobility, then hide until the Killer comes, then leaves and work on the Generator. It's not hard to counter.
Coordinated teams don't run a single Boon. Having 2 is better, and safer, than only using 1 Boon.
Ruin+Undying+Pentimento is a good build that only works on good Killers, making winning easier. If a low mobility Killer we're to use this build they'll lose. They simply don't have the time to run around the map to rekindle cleansed Totems
-
@Tiufal said:
https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/318571/survivors-cant-get-new-meta-perks
Thats completely stupid. Killer nearly always get meta perks and theyre not better than the rest, theyre equal to the rest. Why should it be different on survivor side? Theres no reason behind your statement.
Became the Killer meta is generally balanced, unlike the Survivor meta? The Survivor meta is made out of second chances, the Killer meta is made out of Perks that make the game longer so Generators don't get finished in 5 minutes
-
@dictep said:
https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/2896143#Comment_2896143
Same as boon totems
Yes. If Survivors are bad and don't know how to properly place Boon Totems, they will get found
-
@dictep said:
https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/2896128#Comment_2896128
If survs cleanse totems pentimento would be totally busted and the best perk in the entire game
No, because they'd know where the Pentimento Totem is, and they'd be able to quickly cleanse it again
