Abandon this idea that you have to be nice to survivors because of some hidden rule.

If you camp. It is their job to do gens. Not yours to give up a free hook.

Sick of being treated like some play thing every game.

Survivors just get every thing to waste time. DS unbreakable dead hard bt. every game. how is that good design? How can the devs just ignore how stupid it is?

If you have to resort to face camping to even get one kill you are just plain bad man. Sad. I don’t even mind getting face camped I laugh my ass off when it happens cause it just tells me the killer is complete trash at the game.

They should do the same with ds.I dont have any problem with the pek being used for real"anti tunnel" but if If I pull someone of the gen and they ds me its kinda bs.

It’s not an an anti tunnel perk though, never has been. That’s something the community has come up with.

Same, I'm red rank survivor and I do fine. I've also somehow made it to red rank killer and I get wrecked constantly lol I shouldn't be red rank, I hope a decent working mmr gets implemented

I know it’s messed up but last time they had the penalty for dc’s off I purposely dc'd to derank back to yellow. I only have 300 hrs in game and was going against sweaty ass rank 1 killers with 1000’s of hrs that would straight destroy me. I’m sticking around rank 10 right now and I find the majority of my matches are pretty balanced in terms of skill between me and the other survivors and killer. It’s way too easy to make it to red ranks and I knew damn well I didn’t belong a rank 1. I really wish they wouldn’t have mucked up the mmr system so badly. I think it would greatly benefit players that feel the same as me.

To start off when you break a pallet with your chainsaw you should not be able to recover that fast. Bubba is the only killer with a pallet breaking power built in who has almost no delay when breaking pallets with your chainsaw. Another flaw is that when you hop into a locker and avoid his saw then jump out perfectly to not get hit he can recover his charges so quick that he can still chainsaw you in a few seconds. Bubba needed a rework but he was over tuned The devs are so focused with not trying to make killers too weak so the killer side doesn't complain and they make base kit way too strong. This was shown with doctor.

I will admit a lot of this post is out of frustration and bad map rng with coal tower(zero jungle gyms, 2 filler pallets) but I digress. Bubba needs some number tweaks and add on tweaks he is way too strong run bamboozle and he has practically no weakness's. Just let people learn his over whelming strength.

I 100% agree with you. Personally I think he didn’t need a buff/rework in the first place. He was insanely strong before. PWYF and nemesis was the norm with most every Bubba I faced and by mid game he was running Mach 4 speed around the map 1 shotting everything. I literally hate going against him now. Proxy camping while hooked then I get saved with BT and still get downed again because his busted ass chainsaw can go halfway across the ######### map now? What a joke. I with you. He was strong before but now he’s busted. And the ones that camp with insidious yeah ######### you.

  • I think introducing something other than gens for survivors to do would be very cool. Some kind of side objective to give a boost in BP or something along those lines. Maybe slow gen speed by 15% along with it. I personally don’t want games to last 20 plus mins. I fear if they do something real crazy with the start of the match you’re just gonna have a lot of blendettes urban evading just literally hiding waiting for whatever is keeping them from doing gens thus making it even harder for killer to find anyone. Just my 2 cents.

I mean yes it would suck in this case, but its also not the devs fault if some players are just not really good. I mean gen speeds are not really fine. If you make like 2 mistakes in your first chase as killer which is already enough time waste than after you finish your first chase 3 gens are gonna be done.

You could instead just play swf if you don't like your solo queue teammates.

I have no friends that play this game so....yeah.

Keep saying what you will, but both sides can be good or bad. You wanna complain and all this making arguments, yet you fail to remember how potatoes have always existed and thats why rank doesnt matter so much. OF COURSE you're gonna play against or with dumb people, regardless of rank or system. Second just because it all started due to crossplay does not mean it can be generalized about the system the people play on. You have a bigger pool of players meaning you'll get way more crap players and way more good players. And frankly im disappointed in pc. I've not been so badly wrecked yet like I was expecting and how you guys make it sound. If anything crossplay has taught me that everyone is pretty much the same. My worst losses have been to console players. The best survivor I know is on console and the best killer I know is on console. But im not making generalizations about pc when I could. Have some decency, yeah you guys have better optimization and fps but that doesn't mean you are better players, if anything being limited and getting good enough to beat people who have advantages is a proof of skill in itself. I digress, just shut up with the arguments. Yeah console is tocic, but so is everyone else. Oh you got tunneled? Boo hoo pc streamers are the most popular so we see just as much pc trash as you guys see in console. And Honestly I havent even heard that many complaints about pc if anything I just heard 1 trash talking pc and that's it and for some reason pc wants to trash console. Just stop regardless of platform there is toxicity and trash players

My experiences have been quite the opposite from yours whereas most PC players I play with have been fairly decent to really good and only a handful of console players that I can say were decent or good. Most teammates I’ve had as console players were really quite bad. Not saying I haven’t had bad PC players also but since cross play started the majority of bad players I come across have been console.

  • Maybe I just unfortunately went up against a lot of “good” Bubba’s but I thought the one even before the buff was pretty strong.

Pal, I know how to play, and don't try to flex your rank on me I've been rank 1 for almost 2 months now. It's the fact that genspeed is still an issue even with toolboxes nerfed. If you need to run a perk because otherwise you have at least a fighting chance than your game isn't balanced. I should be able to play without perks on any killer and be able to win without needing pop goes the weasel so gens don't fly away in 2 minuets. Also, the killers that I play aren't what you would call balanced. I main The Wraith and play killers like Legion, Clown, and Trapper the most.

Wraith main, my man. I too main him. I’ve been running a gen slowdown build on him lately and has been working out quite well actually. BBQ, PGTW, ruin and discordance. I might switch out something for corrupt occasionally also. I know it’s not a conventional build for wraith but hey I’ve been enjoying it. Slap on some windstorm addons to go vrooomm.

Really. I had a match earlier as trapper I placed one trap and found my first survivor and 2 gens popped.

That’s pretty standard when playing trapper though. That’s why corrupt is a good perk on him.

  • Just need to learn to look better. Seriously though it is some BS literally staring straight at his grill and still getting exposed. It’s so hit and miss breaking him out.

  • @Human_Giraffe said:

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/1544458#Comment_1544458

You can figure it out based on how fast gens are done, whether or not you see survivors appear and try to take protection hots for somebody you're Ina chase with currently, if someone has OoO and another has sprintburst, how coordinated their entire team is, who their friends are on their profile, and what perks they're running.

That’s mostly all BS. I do most everything you stated and I ALWAYS am in solo. I take hits for WGLF stacks. I will purposely not stack on gens to apply pressure elsewhere. And how in the hell you can tell a swf by perks well that ones above me unless it’s a all sabo meme squad. The only sure fire way is to look at their friends list. All the rest of the stuff you listed is regular high level gameplay.

it doesn't work out in the open with nothing but yes it does work 100% of the time for extending loops when used correctly by a competent survivor

I take it you’ve never watched any good streamers? Dead harded exhausted on the ground. Works 100% of the time my ass.

  • @dugman said:

It's amazing how some survivors constantly complain about NOED, yet when I run Haunted Grounds or Devour Hope and get one or two instant downs out of them mid-game I never get these complaints after the match. Yet NOED is really just an Exposed condition perk like Haunted Grounds or Devour Hope that happens to trigger at the very end of the match instead of in the middle of it. If anything Haunted Grounds in fact is probably better than NOED since the downs you get from it happen earlier in the match so have a better chance of building momentum to snowball into keeping the gens from being completed at all.

Also this notion that if the gens are done the killer is "bad" is nonsense. The game is designed to be balanced around 2 kills per game with exactly 2 kills more or less being a draw. Which means that you should expect probably 60-70% of games between equally matched opponents to have between 0-2 kills (i.e. losses and draws), all of which involve the exits being open and the gens all being done. Therefore the post-gen completion phase that NOED uses is not a sign of a "bad killer", it's a normal part of the game that even good killers are going to experience all the time against equally good survivors even when they play well.

You have to work for devour. You don’t have to do a damn thing for noed

  • @TotemsCleanser said:

I absolutely despise NOED, it's by far one of the killer perks I hate the most, I feel it rewards killers for failing at their task.

That's why I do totems. I encourage you to do the same. The feeling when the match ends and you see that you removed that perk from the killer's hands by destroying all the totems in the map is one the most satisfying feelings in this game in my opinion.

The most satisfying thing is when I see noed totem bust like 5 seconds after endgame has started. I literally lmao every time

  • @Johnny_XMan said:

So If you understand that DS isn’t strictly an anti tunnel perk, why are you complaining about it still being active?

Also, please stop saying the survivor has 60 seconds of “immortality” when A) no, they do not. Their timer is depleting the more you aren’t seeing that survivor, so if you bump into them it is no longer going to be at 60 seconds, the timer didn’t magically pause.

    B) it isn’t immortality if the survivor can still go down and you can slug.

DS can work as both an anti tunnel and an anti momentum perk. The fact that you think it is flawed by design doesn’t mean it is something that killers will often experience. Not when there are things like slugging and camping which are borderline abusive and you aren’t on a timer when you do it. But sure let’s keep complaining about a VERY rare occasion DS will stun the forgetful killer who got greedy.

    I love you

to all you PC players, doesn’t it get boring going against Nurses, Spirits, and huntresses constantly? Ever since cross-play that’s all I’ve been going against. Oh and yeah they’re sweaty... like coming out of a steam room sweaty.

Unfortunately my dude you are posting in a killer main sided forum if you couldn’t tell with most of the responses. My only advice is you will just get use to it after a while. I play red ranks and surprisingly I don’t see many nurses, I guess I’m lucky. I see a good variety of killers but most would have to be Deathslinger, PH, Huntress, Legion and Oni. If you are playing solo you’re probably gonna lose a good 80% of the time unless magically you end up with a good team. If you want fun to be more of a factor play with some friends. Plus if they are decent at the game you can actually get that 80% down to 60 or even 50%. As for sweaty ass killers well that’s just red ranks for ya.

Dude if your main complaint is that there’s no tutorial or guide I don’t know what you’re on about. In the main menu there’s literally a tab called “Help and Tutorials” with tutorials for survivors and killers and an overall guide to the game. How do you even miss that after playing for months? You’re ignorant about what you’re talking about.

Someone above said it best.....the tutorial in game pretty much teaches you how to lose. Would be very nice if they added a practice mode like what mobile has. I think that would help out a ton of people coming in to the game.

Ohh your right. I don't know why I thought it said in a single trial. This actually makes me feel better now. Kind of. I guess it's the wording that got me confused tbh. Makes it sound like 3 must leave before you in the match.

I also thought that looking at it last night. Their wording on a lot of challenges just plain sucks and is confusing at times.

  • @bm33 said:

I think they should just lock everything in as you search for game. Skip the lobby and showing offerings. Make it an actual surprise when everyone loads into the map. No more last minute switches or dodging, just play the game.

^^^^^ this exactly. Nobody should have any info before the match starts. Killers keep complaining and I hope this is what they do to “fix” it. As a survivor I can’t be like “oh it’s a ghostface let me put on spine chill” or “oh it’s a Billy let me switch to my vault build”. Killers shouldn’t be the only ones to have the option to “prepare” beforehand. I’m all for locking survivors in too but let me see what killer I’m going against then so I can adjust my build accordingly as they can. Just seems only fair. That would be more balanced right? ######### that crap. I’d rather no one be able to see anything until match starts. Everyone goes in blind, that’s the way it should be.

  • @gatsby said:

I just played a game with ghost face on a Coldwind map and got completely gen rushed. Like oh my god there was nothing I could do absolutely zero counterplay. First three gens within the first minute.

And a Survivor has the audacity to tell me I have no map pressure. TAKE A LOOK AT THOSE BUILDS. No map pressure my butt. I had eight stacks of STBFL and was literally downing people as fast as physically possible on this Killer. I even had good add-ons.

Just stop. If you're literally gen rushing own up to it and don't blame the Killer for "no map pressure." Sit down.

You realize slugging is a direct response to Decisive Strike, right?

They are referring more to the ones that do it just to secure the 4k. Knowing you haven’t been fresh off the hook and get slugged while the last person is still out there it’s pretty obvious what’s going on.

  • @Unfun_Tunnel said:

I was watching a streamer playing dbd. It ended well, with a 4k but... 4 gens were done in 2 minutes and 21 seconds. Yes, 2 minutes and 21 seconds. Decisive lasts 1 minute and they had 3 or 4 of it, then add chase time, hook time and all these things.

Luckily they stopped doing gens for some reason and that led to a 4k, but imagine if they didn't.

Please consider a ds nerf or secondary objectives for survivors.

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/174940/now-say-that-gen-speed-is-ok

It ended in a 4k. It shows there is more to the game than gen speeds. I main Trapper, I'm well aware of how fast gens are. I average 3 kills a game easy. Why? The game often slows to a crawl one we get to that 2 to 3 gen moment. I've established pressure. I try to be smart about when to drop chase and keeping more than 1 survivor off gens.

Gen speeds are tricky. You tweak them a tad and destroy gameplay for all but maybe some red ranks. What about slowdown builds? How do those effect gen speed if they are changed? Forever Freddy is already a death knell for all but the best survivor.

There is more to the killer play than gen speeds. Too many killers don't have the experience or time in game to recognize that.

You absolutely knocked it out of the park with that very last sentence. So so true.

Billy can definitely be OP in the right hands. You just don't see that often because most matches you never go against a Hillbilly and most people that play him aren't good with him.

I’ve gone against a few god like billy players and they completely decimated the whole team in 3 min flat if not sooner. Same with nurse.

  • Not saying I agree with it in any way but to be fair getting the crowns as killer is way WAY easier. Basically all you have to do is find the thing.....that’s it. As survivor you have to get out. And as some know playing solo can be a pretty hard to get out unless you luck up getting a not so good killer or a great team. Personally I’ve been letting the ones that are “glowing” get out. This is a limited event so I’m not going to be a total ahole and murk everything walking. Some survivors have literally been working all night to get crowns and not been able to get them yet, while if you play killer can easily walk from matches with them. First 10 matches I had 4 red mori’s with tunneling, an asshat hag that trapped the crowns and the rest just tryhards with noed and bad teams to boot. Feelsbadman

  • Denying comms in some way would help out dramatically imo. Then they would only have to rely on what they are seeing on screen and not their buddy saying the killer is over here so you guys are good to do such and such gens.

No they actually wanted to shake up the meta and think outside the box in terms of perks.

Your 2nd chance perks still work on hooks and good ph players will find a safe medium between best times to hook and cage.

Or you know survivor mains can just you know... Cry for nerfs and changes within the first week of his release like they have done since they added the first dlc killer.

How can you even say “shake up the meta” like these people even play their own game and even know what the meta is?
