Yes that was my point is it's unfun for both sides when the situation does indeed arise in a match , legion needs a rework but not a nerf just something that slightly altered how his power works to prevent 20 minute mending simulator, and to make it fun for the legion player and the survivors both
They were once on a good path with the Legion.
Then they had make it impossible to do the fun things and some annoying things and what is left, sees everybody today.
Hopefully they doing the next rework with the community and I mean with the community. Not just the audience of 1-2 streamers that were salty.

Unless that gen is 95 percent there's no way you're completing it without mending , and most legions will employ a three gen strat if a couple pop early and frenzy anyone who goes near the gens just so they have to mend , I'm not saying legion is OP but he's very annoying when it gets to a situation where he's not committing to chases and just dragging the game out , I've had fast games against legion don't get me wrong but it's not too common once they realize they don't have enough time they will just attempt to stall by doing what I stated above and it's just more aggravating from the stalemate scenario
Legion is just doing the only thing they can do from all the things that is left, to win the game.
Would bhvr not so obsessed with the idea that the Legion had to be a mending killer, then there would have been other possibilities.
Also, the idea doesn't really fit to them imo. That would be something for some weird new doctor, or nurse killer. Or maybe some creature that "prepears" its victims via wounds to be a later hosts for its eggs, or something like that*.
It was a good idea as long as it was just a "side effect", but as dominating effect... Feels for me not right.
Edit: Like those mid-sized-insectoid-egg laying creatures from the X-Com games. Have forget the name.
-
Well, almost nobody wanted that the Legion is so boring to play as and against. That was the decision of a vocal minority a year or so back. Sadly, bhvr had listen to them.
Makes me almost feel sorry to all the normal survivors who have yet to suffer through it, even I was one of the guys who warned bhvr for this situation -_-
-
Just play like you want. If playing fair fitts to your character, then play as such a killer. If it doesn't, then play a little more toxic.
But stop listening to salty survivors. You will never ever make them happy. They have a completely different mindset as yours. While you like to play the game as it is thought, they hoping to ruin a other players day to feeling themself better.
Don't let that come to you and just ignore them.
The most survivors are not like them luckily.
-
You can't do more.
Even if you play dbd on rank20 you will get your red ranks, sometimes. Have seen that by myself. On the other hand, I can understand that. I bet not many killers enjoy being in the red ranks. A short period being in the red ranks was for me already enough to say "never, ever again".
As killer you can only have fun* if you avoid the red ranks. So stay away from it and just play a little less, or if you are in the mood - survivor. That is always chilling, because either the killer can't kill you, or one of the other 3 will do your job (that was not ment to be a rant towards survivors, it was just me saying how it is).
*With fun I mean to play a chill playstyle, to not use every dirty trick possible and to not have for you every freaking match a teabagging swf.

It hasn’t doubled in the last year. It started to increase during the pandemic and lockdowns. Losing 6-7k within the past 2-4 weeks should be concerning
Still it will survive. Sometimes I am not sure if that is a good thing. Imo, it makes the devs too comfortable. Once you stand on the edge of a cliff, it can change your mind - symbolically speaking. So that they finally start doing the right things. But that is just hoping from my side.
Also maybe the 6-7 hang together with the pandemic. In many countrys are the restaurants open again and all the other stores and locations. People move out again. Ok that will not fit to everyone, but to some I bet.

This game has a player retention problem. The players that the game gained during covid are finally starting to leave. When you see thousands of players coming in and then leaving, it is indicative of a game that doesn't keep player attention. This game gets insufferable at high levels of play for both sides and the devs do nothing to help this. The current market strategy for the game is to get people to buy the game, buy a few dlcs, buy some cosmetics, then leave. It's amazing that such a poorly designed game got as popular as it did in the first place, but it seems BHVR isn't up to the task to create and maintain a lasting game.
Exactly. I have already talk about this for a year+. For some reason, the devs are afraid to go out of their comfort zone. Everytime they tried this, they peddled back, because a minority whas compalining. The problem is, for their comfort zone, they have already everything done, besides of course more of the same over and over again.
At the moment it works. Especially since they have also branch out into new markets like the mobile part of dbd, but one day... Staying in your comfort zone will not work anymore.
Imo, besides obvious things like bug fixing, dbd would also need new game modes and killers that are not always use the m1 pattern on the long run, at a ->bare minimum<-.
Nobody can say when the players will have enough of that m1 playstyle, but that one day the day comes where that will happen - that is an unavoidable matter.

DBD should have died like 33 times according to players. Basically after every Patch there are players claiming that DBD is dying.
Regarding the Matchmaking, IMO it would help a lot already if they returned old Rank Reset. Players who struggle to rank up will take longer to reach Red Ranks again when they get set back to Rank 11 (or whatever it was when you were on 1 before). Yes, Ranks are mostly an indicator of how much you play, but still, someone who ranks up fast usually also players better.
But with that Rank Reset (which can also be 1 Rank, which is not really a Reset) players are just clustered together despite being on different Skill Levels.
And the only explanation we got was "Because people who cannot play much will not achieve the same as people who play more"... Which is...yeah? Logical?
In parts, the game dies sometimes, after they caming up with a new patch that is not liked by the part of the playerbase, that is majorly affected by the patch.
You can see after some patches a downscale of the playerbase. That only after weeks, or months gets outwighted by - very often - a new chapter patch.
That's why I think that dbd would die without new chapters. The distance between active players and leaving players is not much I guess. If there is ever a delay in a new chapter from a year or more, the game would be dead, but as long as this not happens the game will survive.
The problem is imo, that bhvr very often only satisfies one part of the playerbase with their reworks and nerf patches, while they are not thinking on what the other part(s) of the playerbase is thinking. That's not how you add more people to your service, or in this case - game.
You have to think on everyone or you have to push out new content over and over again (to lure new people in).
-
Dbd has taken some hits in the past already (after some patches) and it has always survived.
The new chapters ensure that always new players coming in. That's a blessing and a curse on the same time imo.
On one hand the game survives and people can play it, on the other hand it ensures that at least some devs think to this day that every of their nerf and rework patches were good to the game.
We have to live with it, that dbd is not perfect, like everything else in live. Including us.
And btw. bad matchmaking is almost like a dbd tradition :).

It's not complicated. Here's your long and explanatory (?) answer: I enjoy playing a game I'm very good at. I enjoy fair games of DBD. But I often (not always) leave games that are unfair - technical glitches (no skill checks, med kit gives 99% heal, etc) or toxic teammate or killer situations or horrible matchmaking. I don't fault others that leave either. There you go. Clear?
But on many things, bhvr can nothing do because it is the community that is toxic. There you have a reason to dc found that will suit you forever.
Btw. I don't care for bps and had never. Just for fun and imo, if someone joins a multiplayer he must accept that other people see fun in things, he does not. That is unavoidable.
That means, if you really like the game, you have to accept the different killers, like killers have to accept different perks and so. Everything else is lying to yourself and a waste of time for yourself.
That is at least my opinion to multiplayer games in general. Thoughts like yours above (in parts) would imo better fit into a singleplayer game.

People will always find a way to justify DC's, I don't understand why they even play the game if they find so many unwilling things to play against.. Bunch of crybabies..
That is the question I would really like to see 1 time a good, long and explanatory answer to.
There are so many great games. If someone is really annoyed by every match, why this self-torture?
The only explanatory I have for it, is to release steam... But even that is a waste of time, because as said before... There are mony great games out there.

@Impermanent said:
This whole DC discussion is just so stupid... what are the ACTUAL EFFECTS of aggravated survivors choosing to avoid the DC penalty?
The survivor gets downed and angry. But instead of DC'ing he waits. The following things possibly happen:
- The killer hooks him and he suicides on hook. How did this improve the gameplay?
- The killer hooks him and a teammate saves him before he can suicide. Small chance he plays a bit more. More likely he just runs to the killer or otherwise doesn't play normally because he just wants out of this match.
- The killer leaves him on the ground to bleed out. This is one of the reasons people DC. Now he has to lay there doing nothing while the killer revels in his own toxicity. So now you're exacerbating a bad situation and rewarding the toxic killer while pushing away a survivor.
- The killer leaves him slugged but a teammate saves him. Again some chance that he plays normally. More likely the teammate gets hit/downed healing him and/or he doesn't play normally but just lets himself get downed again.
The only situation where the DC penalty does any good is when the angry survivor ends up getting saved and plays the rest of the match normally. I am telling you this is maybe 10% of the time. 20% max.
Stop trying to force people to play through bad situations that are caused by your own bad game design. Let them enjoy the good and skip the bad. All you're doing is pissing people off that want to enjoy the good aspects of your game.
The point is, even if the devs would design the "Survivor Miracleland", they still would dc.
Some people have just a bad day. What do I know? Have a terrible job, their gfs have laughed the last time, or what ever. They coming with their rl problems in the game - how everyone is doing it - and behave then toxic in the game. That is something you can't win as dev.
I bet with you, even if there would be no slugging in the game, no tunnelling, no facecamping, no whatever and instead a 100% guranteed escape rate for survivors in a match - some would still dc.
You can't make everyone happy. The only thing you can do, is trying to hold the toxic ones away from the ordinary playerbase. Otherwise the playerbase gets harmed more and more and that can't be in the interesst of a developer.

@Talmeer not that it really matters (in my opinion, anyway), but I'm currently sitting at R1 killer and survivor, at least until the reset. I play both sides relatively equal.
It matters imo. Then you have made experience, unlike others that haven't yet.
But to come btt: I know that not every point of my list was in your posting to find, but I have just take the common survivor complainments in the list and turn it around.
Besides that, I have found some of your answers a bit hard to understand and also sometimes survivor biased.
I mean, what should I taken from a "what"? It's a bit confusing...
That moris matters so they will be nerfed. Bhvr said already that they working on it. Personally I don't care. Have use them only on one day in the whole time, I have played dbd. Still I hope they let the animations somehow in the game, since I like the animations and if gen rushing is not a thing... Then facecamping and tunnelling is also not a thing imo.
In both cases, the killer only trys to achieve his primary objective. Sounding the words familiar, hm?
That said, I see value in tunnelling sometimes, but have never understand why so many killers relay on facecamping and if you think gen rushing is not a problem, then... You had luck so far. A ton of killers have made this expierence including also some streamers where you can see it online.
Btw. I had say, that survivor are the same, but they doesn't look the same (luckily - no matter what someone thinks, but no killer deserves to see only David's or Ace's!).

Content creators are not the reason people DC. And without content creators, there would be a dead game.

Sure content creators are important, but not that important and also they are many. If 2 going lost from the 200+ herd - nobody cares besides some fans of them and that only for a time, before they have switch to a other streamer.
A problem where many content creators are aware of :).
Edit: *With content I was meaning gaming content... Things bhvr does... Like new chapters and stuff.

Some of the survivor mains above have miss a point there: As killer I also do not care if a survivor dcs. Makes my game easier - thanks to that.
But as a player that has some manners and sportmanship, I feel bad for the survivors, even if it is not my fault, since I have not left the game.
What my former admin life matters, so I just have talk about experience. Own and other experiences is a fair thing.
You either learn from it and lead a better life, or you ignore it and run into problems over and over again and that is just fair. I waste not a second on thoughts about a guy who runs into selfmade problems. So it is for me in general ok, if someone ignores the experience of me, or other people.
Just do your thing - but don't run later to someone and ask for help, because "you couldn't know that before".
You should play a few weeks killer and you will understand my points better. I have nothing against survivor mains, but if you just play one side, you don't really understand the problems of the other side. Even I as a hardcore killer main, have spent some weeks to play survivor, to understand survivors better.
You are right. Some streamers are part of the problem. Would they have started to permaban every streamer and every forummember who openly admitted to dc, we wouldn't have today such a mess.
Of course, some people would have complained and there would have been a small hit what active forum members and players matters, but that would have nothing been, what a few weeks of just running the game could not heal of.
I bet then we would have been rid of this behavior. Not entirely... Dcing is a too common problem for this, but it would be on a much smaller scale as it is today.

People DC because killers play like #########, pure and simple. Occasionally, they DC due to other survivors acting like trash cans and running around like derps while letting them go to 2nd phase on the first hook for no reason. While I completely understand BHVR says camping, tunneling, and other obnoxious behavior is not reportable and entirely allowed, it doesn't mean survivors are willing to deal with, for example, a hook-camping Ghostface/Bubba/Trapper/etc. I don't play like a jerk when I play killer, and I very rarely have DC's. I primarily play Trapper, and the only DC's I do have are typically other survivors being idiots or when someone runs into one of my traps after they taunt the ever-loving hell out of me. It's kind of satisfying!
Gonna be honest - if I get camped on the hook super hard and only one person (or nobody, in many cases) even makes the attempt to come get me, I'll just die and go to the next game. /yawn
And that means, that killers should also start to dc if they see something they dislike?
Ok, then prepear yourself for a killer dc then:
-He sees the wrong survivor perks in the game.
-The wrong survivor. (I know they are just hulls, but that David? No sir!)
-A loop takes to long, to catch up to a survivor.
-He guess to have run into a swf, or at least a good coordinated team.
-If gens firing up too fast.
-If he gets not enough survivors on a hook in a time he thinks that they need to be.
-The wrong map.
-Keys.
-And many totally acceptable reasons (for him at least...).
---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
I have years deal in the internet with toxic people as moderator and admin and the first thing I have learn is:
If someone starts doing something new toxic in a community - what hasen't done by someone before - you need to shut him down. Fast. Very fast.
Before he becomes a role model for other people.
If you do it on this way, the community will thank you and you have just a small circle of people that are mad about you.
If you do it not... Then the first becoming a role model for other people and this toxic behavior spreads like a disease. You are then in a battle that you can only win if you kick or ban more people as you would have need before, if you just had act right in time.
Behavior had not act right in time. Instead they had done what the first toxic guys wanted. Step by step. Letter by letter.
As would have someone placed a gun on their heads.
Now they are in a situation where they have to kick and ban many people. They could have avoid that, if they had listen to this time to the calmer part of the community, but as you can see... They haven't.
TL:DR
That is my sight to it as a former long time admin (around 10 years) and moderator (around 1 year) of different smaller to bigger communitys (one even bigger as those forums seem to be [don't know the numbers and can only go after what I see here]).
I know that my words are hard, but that is it, what you have to be in such situations.

People are going to keep disconnecting because the time waiting on a new match will always be less frustating than dealing with the game's bullshit. Every reworked map is terribly boring and I'd rather do nothing than play them, on either side. Badham and Midwich are literally worse than staring at my screen until I can queue again. Then you have moris, keys, DS/UB, Ruin/Undying, bullshit items, bullshit addons.
Oh wait, people are disconnecting? Let's punish them instead of fixing the reasons why.
People will always find a reason why they dc. Alone the try to fix their "problems" would lead the dbd coders into a way where they never could hope to come back from (and waste ressources on it, while they could instead doing something better for the game).
DCing people are just toxic kiddos, either in real or in mind and you need to deal with them, like you have to deal with toxic kiddos.
Every other multiplayer game makes that also.

DC penalties are back today
That is a major step for DBD in the right direction. I can only support that. Finally we have them again here, like in every other multiplayer game.
-
Always that talking about the first hit...
From where coming those survivors? Rank20?
Every survivor above should know that this is not really a advantage.
To the topic: My experience with the Legion to pre-rework times had show to me, that the abilities of the Legion were not a problem at all...
...But they were too easy to push. The Legion back in the day had a strong pattern of things you could do with it and you couldn't and I think that many old Legion addons where builded to erease the weakness of Legion's abilities out.
With devastating consequences for the playerbase behind the Legion in the first place, how we all know today. To shorten this part of the story.
What dw itself matters... It was never a strong abilitie. To have it, or to have it not, matters not really with the rest of the Legion in mind. I would at any time sacrifice it for a faster Legion or a less "stuny" Legion.
-
Survivors dc to every killer. I have play Legion before and after rework, nurse pre nerf, trapper, meyers, pig, ghostface, huntress, clown and for sure someone I have forget by now.
By every single one I had dc's. Because we all know how op clown and trapper are -_-
Life is life... arrr... Survivors are survivors. It will always be like that.

Sorry for my poor writing. The story is, in one match I played oni, and I played so good that I got three hooked in the basement.
In general, it should be the end, isn't it? However, they are an AT team, and the last one has borrow time, He just ran to me, took a hit and saved one on the hook, then I found that every of them have borrow time, finally all of the three escape from the basement easily, and I only got one left in the basement.
This is not the end, I chased them and hit two down, but both of the two have Decisive Strike, I took double stupid stun and got nothing. In the beginning, I got three in the basement, but finally I lost everything, and got two stun. This is so much fun, isn't it?
Fortunately, it's me, an experienced killer, not a noob. Finally, I still got 4 kill, but I feel so bad. The game should have ended with four generators left, but they were able to drag two with their op perks. I got so tired with this game since then. Is that mean, as a killer, I must take turns hooking them, one by one, I can't hook two or more at the same time, and I also have to play against gen rush? If that, you are force player to play nurse and spirit.
I already uninstalled the game. I won't play dbd until ZZZ nurf borrow time and Decisive Strike!
Man to read your story makes me almost happy to take a break from dbd at the moment.
That must have been terrible to experience.
But it is only one thing of a long list of unfun things for me in dbd. The others would be that there is no dc penalty anymore, still soundbugs in this game and they still haven't buff on the right way, a specific killer.
So I can basically just sitting here and being happy to not have come in this situation :D... Sorry.
-
@GoodBoyKaru said:
it makes sense they can be grabbed off of anything else, not while theyre healing tho, logically. also itd make healing just awful and not worth it so the genrush no heal meta becomes more common because thats fun right?
If an argument is used too often, it loses its value. That is something survivors didn't get since years.
Who cares if the gen rush meta becomes more common at this point?
-
I think every killer is skillful - depending on how the killerplayer choose to play the killer.
All that talking about skill less killers or also survivors is just hidden jealousy, of people that search a reason why they lost a match, or need an enemie in general to release their anger.
That said, of course killers can have "skill less" abilities, like survivors also, but a skillful player will not choose them.
It is easy as that.
-
I have never enjoy looping in general. Only with the old Legion, but that was mainly because you could with the old Legion do more in this time, as just running behind someone.
You could also stab them and even if other killers could do more like 1 shots - it still had make fun.
But besides that it is for me just a illogical and cheap game mechanic.
Illogicial because many killers would not need to loop. They would either kick the barrels (as example) by side, jump over it, or "phase" through it (if the killer is a ghost).
Cheap because I have the strong opinion that looping is only so much important to that game because there is outside of it not much to do.
Ok, the survivors can still repair gens and killers can still facecamp if they dislike moving, but that is not much. This game has no other game modes, like searching for tools, making new map-areas avaible to finally flee like in other games and so on.
I wish dbd would have more game modes after all. That said, besides other things, like that the devs would not always come with "we look what is necessary to win a match". I a am player, not a esl-pro gamer and as player I like to have fun in the first place.
Hargh, yet I have nevertheless rant in the last line. I didn't want to :|.
-
Imo either red ranks or sometimes if you are unlucky in the brown ranks. Sometimes some swf's derank on purpose, like killers do it also from time to time.
-
Imo three reasons do their best to make the dbd community toxic:
-The problems the player have and bring in the game. Especially if they can't get rid of it in the game, because they have lost a match before or couldn't achieve their own goals.
-Some streamers.
-Nerfs. I am guilty of that too. The only day where I have play on purpose toxic, was after a specific nerf patch, who I am still mad about. Patches like that can really change your view on the game and the community itself.
And yes, I have on purpose not lead "other toxic players" in the field, because no matter how toxic someone is - it is the decision of the player if he turns toxic just because some 13 year old teabags at the gates, or whatever nonsense.
I have just try to name the things that I think are the root for this behavior in the game.
-
No matter how they teabag - they always move out of the gates, as soon as you move in. They still recognize the danger that moves closer to them. Isn't that more satisfying as the anger about the survs that use the more as comedial looking teabagging animation? :)
-
The most depressing part of the game is, that some devs seem to value one player group over a other sometimes and that you can wait years for specific changes at specific characters.
Besides that, I can't find much on DBD to critize.
With that I do not want to say that DBD is perfect, but I think that the most other problems will be anyways solved - sooner or later. You have also to give the devs a bit of trust - if they have not prove you wrong there.
-
I was once something similar like you @Godot.
I mean, I was only once in the red ranks and then deranked on purpose, but I had really love this game once and still think that it has a great potential (even if it has come in its years to be honest).
To make a long story short, I wait for the day were DBD will be for me great again :). Until then I look sometimes more or less in the forums or make a few testmatches.
Btw. I have always divide between the dbd community in the game and the community in the forums. Reason for that is, because I have make with them totally different experiences. I mean, I have also meet in the game toxic people, but not so much that they would have dominated my ingame experience, compared to the forums were I have met many selfish and/or ignorant people, but also of course some good ones.
-
-I would bring the old Legion back (without exploits and op addons).
-I would bring old Ruin back.
-I would buff certain killers to the Level of Hillbilly was before his nerf.
-I would undone most survivor nerfs of the last 1-2 years, since they don't need to be nerfed anymore thanks to better killers.
-I would limit perks in general, so that only 2x of a specific perk can be choosen by the survivors. That means no more stacking 4x times the same perks. Why? Because it is boring. No survivor would love it to face every match only 1 specific killer and so I dislike it to face every game the same perks. Because it is always the same (should not be a surprise).
-I would add more game modes and change the current one, to a more entertaining version for both sides.
All of those ideas are not new. That's why I don't explain them. Bhvr could have done at least the half of it by now, but they persist on a very strange gaming philosophy for me, that sucks the fun out for more and more people. I can't see a big plan behind it.
-
I feel bad for the other survivors. For myself, nah. I am a pragmatic guy. Don't mind if someone makes it easier for me.
Either after a dc, its easier, or if too many dc it will be a chilling farm round for what is left.

Solo queue is unplayable.
Even at red ranks all I see are bush Blendettes and people disconnecting left and right. Every fifth or so games either the killer or 1-3 survivors are AFK. When everyone is present and not DCing I'll get Iri Head Huntresses (seriously just got 4 in a row) that tunnel everyone to death one by one or survivors with keys hiding in a locker all game hoping to get the hatch.
As a killer my queue times are 15-30mins with CP enabled and most lobbies are 4 person SWF groups with meta builds making the game as unfun as possible but finding another game would take so long that you'll take it and then regret it.
There's just no fun left for me. I don't even know how to fix it since it's the other players that make the game so bad. I feel like the only way this game can be played these days is by being as toxic as possible and that's not how I want to play so I'll just leave.
I know this isn't exactly interesting I just wanted to vent a little before I go. Maybe I'll be back if some appropriate changes are made to SWF and solo players. Until then thank you and hope the rest of you can still find some good in this game.
Can you not understand?
We killers need to kill survivors before they have a chance to dc. That's damn hard man. No compassion has the youth today anymore :(
-
I try always to play fair and also not to be too cocky, no matter if I play killer, or the rar matches where I play survivor, but that is less for others and more, because it's just me. It would for me really hard to play toxic if the survivors would not provocate me in the first place, since it would run against everything I believe into.
-
He is for sure one of the nexts 1-5.
Survivors cry and also the dlc is now out for a while and sold enough maybe. No reason anymore to let him be fun for the people who have buy the dlc and play him.
It is just what bhvr always does with its customers. So take a lesson away from it, to not buy their dlcs until some months have passed. Otherwise you will end up disappointed.
After the nerf has come for a new dlc, you can buy the dlc safely because you know what you buy.
<-Talks with expierence about that topic.
-
Currently around 10-15 minutes aka. one match/month as killer.
-
To say "We have to do it, because they forced us to do it" is nonsense.
You rob yourself of your fun, if you follow this philosophie. If you like to play with ds, then do it, but don't come up with this sort of excusses, because they aren't.
Every player has bad experiences in dbd. If everyoneone would play like that, we only would see ds and noed, but it isn't always like that.

I wasn’t using that add-on. That’s called Spasmodic Breath. I was using Ataxic Respiration and Fragile Wheeze.
Lucky one. With the nurse I could never get warm. It was for me easier to learn m1 mindgames, other killer abilities, or even hitting with the huntress decent, as to have one good match with the nurse... and that was pre nerf^^.
Certainly I wouldn't do better now.
But yes, maybe you starting now a career as new nurse main? :)

In the QnA stream they said that there will be no major reworks and that they would focus on reworking perks and updating graphics on the mid-chapter patch.
THANK YOU BEHAVIOUR!!!
Edit: "There are actually a “bunch” of perk updates planned for the next mid-chapter patch, and it’s likely that perk change “bundles” like this will become more frequent in the future. Typically, most perk changes, balance and quality-of-life updates will come in mid-chapter patches. They have made many and fairly frequent balance changes in past patches, but they also understand that questions like this are an indication that players are interested in seeing more of that sort of thing, so we can expect to see more changes to perks coming in the future."
Usually I would be happy since that's exactly for what I have hope for after their first official rework patch, but I hope that they still clean the mess up, they have make with the rework patches in the past. Perk changes would not be enough to clean that up.

Killer is easier as doing nothing in a match, dieing first hook and then waiting for your mates that they do the job?
One really should play a few killer matches...
-
I would like it.
With moris and hooks together we would have at least a bit variety, instead of just always using the same old hooks.

Had 4 consecutive killer DCs on 4 consecutive Hawkins maps yesterday...
Bubba, PH, Blight & Leigon
each about 3-5min into the match, so I kno Hawkins wasn’t the reason
srsly, idekwhy
Be nice to get our map offerings back if the killer DCs
I can only assume, but even while Hawkins is one of the better maps for killers - it is a pallet nightmare.
My first time on this map I had try to destroy every pallet, thanks to a for me away running claudette, only to discover that there are endless pallets.
Now I know to ignore most of the pallets, still this map is the official king of the pallet-map-award.

I am ok with this addon being as strong as it is if it was an ultra-rare or had some kind of trade off, but it's a green addon meaning you can quite possibly bring it on every game and there is literally no counterplay to it. Zero. Nada you can do as a survivor to avoid getting found or hit.
I can slap on whispers and just bounce around the moment it lights on. Boom wallhacks with no penalty. Where's the skill on that? Get to a tile and hit a wall once and you know exactly where they're going. This crap is like the old prayer beads and as a killer main I really don't think it's fair. I just wonder how in the world did the devs agree that this was weaker than either one of his red addons. Shouldn't they after 4 years know what makes an addon strong or weak? Meanwhile most killers' "ultra-rare" addons (PH, Hag, Billy, Deathslinger, etc) are mediocre at best and sometimes detrimental to your kit.
Just how? How is it possible that the entire playerbase can see these things but the devs are like yeah this addon is mid-tier let's just leave it at green rarity...beats me.
New dlc's need to sell, my young padawan.
Wait a few months until enough dlc's were sold and then the nerf will come in, you long for. Wouldn't be the first time bhvr would do that.

The game is buggy as hell. I DCed yesterday because I would down someone and they would literally disappear/teleport to somewhere else on the map and get healed up before I could even find them. No one should put up with crap like that.
Why you go then not afk in some edge and write after the match about this bug in the bhvr forums? On this way you would not need to dc.
I would feel "dirty" if that makes any sense, if I would dc, without a very good reason.
Had done it 1 time, where I was loaded into a match with a second killer (a Pig) and before bhvr bans me because they maybe could think that I have done it on purpose, I had dc. Better anything else as a ban^^^.

And its my second day here so i would not know
Sorry :|
It's a noob perk that is excelent in helping beginners to learn the game. The same we can say about ds, bt, ub and sprint burst.

I think that we have nearly every day a thread about noed and it is exhausting to see them :).

The only negative thing that has to be said about the Legion is, that the devs have suck out every fun part of the Legion and just let the boring stuff survive the rework patch (+increasing the boring stuff).
He is a medicore killer, that should drown in 0-2 kills matches by now. Luckily for him, the survivors in dbd are usually not the best, outside of swfs, or experienced solo survs. So... he can still be a threat thanks to his solid m1 gameplay and the survivor st... rhm... "special way of playing".
That maybe changes if the devs finaly set up a mm where only the best rank up. If that ever happens I predict that the most Legions will hang in the green or purple ranks around, besides the obvious 1 of 100 Legion guys who can still manage to stay at the red ranks.
So not really a comparison to Billy, Spirit, Freddy and so on.

WHY is Kate jiggle physics removed again!! you guys do this back in 2019 - https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NWQdg2iIclQ see that.
Now you DO AGAIN IN NEW PATCH? We cannot have this and we cannot stand for this. please add kates jiggle physics back. you added it back before when there was a big community cryout. Boobs do not SIT STILL when the girl is moving, it is UNREALISTIC! ADD BACK NOW!
https://www.reddit.com/r/deadbydaylight/comments/azklyb/lack_of_boob_physics_on_ptb_confirmed_to_be/
MCLEAN our hero already said before justice for BOOB PHYSICS and they are coming back. you cannot give them then take them away and i agree with him. also it ruins my immersion for the game so yeah i hope this obvious oversight will be corrected as soon as possible.
why did this happen? please fix it. can this patch get any worse?
I can only support his. If there is a shirtless David... There can also be a jiggling Kate!

I played this game years ago, and it was the same. When I started playing I actually got more toxicity than now.
But anyways, I think that toxicity will never disappear from this game tbh. This game, the way this game it's "created", allows toxicity. If that makes sense.
Also, survivors tend to be more toxic just by psychological reasons. They are in a scenario 4vs1. They are in a group, so they feel powerful. It's the same as how bullying works.
Survivors tend to be less toxic for example when 2 or 3 people died, then the last one is usually kind.
Coincidence? Of course not, that's just how psychology works.
If there are 4 people alive and gates opened, the game allows them to disrespect the killer, and make him/her feel awful, because they know they already won.
It's not like other games, where if you win, the game ends. In dbd, you can pretty much win and the game still is going on. Which allows killers and survivors, to enjoy and take advantage of those moments.
That's why I, for example, never go to the exit gates to meet survivors just before they escape. That's pointless. That would just feed their egos.
If you win, you win, end the game already. Don't waste others' time and don't make fun of them.
I've had games where I got gen rushed to death, and they all escaped quickly. It felt bad, but at least I was like ok, they won. But they didn't make me feel bad about it.
But also, I've had games where they gen rushed, and they stayed to make fun of me. Those, are the really messed up people.
2 times I had kill a surviver 2 pixels away from the gate-exits.
1 time as Huntress, I was able to hit a survivor who was running to the left and right over and over again, for the exit.
1 time I had mori as Legion one, just 1 step away from the exit gates.
... Let us say... The endgame chat was special... But funny for me^^.
But that is what can happen if you are too cocky at the gates. The killer can still kill :D.
