Well yeah, they have nothing to lose by teasing anything. Which is why they tease.
But given the mmr issues and how it's been taken down, as well as the DC penalties twice. I wouldnt trust anything other than an official release notice.
They could just be teasing that it's coming "soon".
If they give a blatant hint teasing a licensed character that is indeed upcoming, I think they stand to get in trouble with the license holder.

And I still wont care? Its not an official statement so theres no reason to believe it. If it turns out to be an actual hint cool, you can feel superior, but why get hyped on bullsjit emojis?
They did 🍭 and simon references before pyramid head, highly hinting at candyman or pinhead, and we got neither.
If it's not posted as an actual message, dont believe it's the 100% truth.
And if you really need to come back to say "I told you so", then go for it, you obviously need it to feel better when I was simply being logical.
Note: They have nothing to risk by teasing crossplay, whereas they can potentially get in trouble with license holders by hinting at a character that hasn't been properly revealed yet.

Nah that would be too op.
I think it's doable, personally. If you change the ability to knock off the item being carried with something else (say, preventing the Survivor from using an item for a certain amount of time upon being hit), you can then also make it so the perk allows the Killer to destroy any items on the floor. That way, the only way an item gets destroyed is if the Survivor manually puts it down or if the Survivor dies and drops it.

OP has said in the past that Pig's lunge attack is OP. Not the ambush. The lunge. Joke or not, I wouldn't take it too seriously.

It would be cool until you run into SWF with voice comms.

Agree, but we have take sooooome creative license for the sake game mechanics. 😉
If it makes you feel any better, his mori could involve the little interior jaw going for a head bite!
I dunno. In my mind, anything involving chestbursters or something similar would more likely be made comparable to the Pig's Reverse Bear Trap.

Would be weird for someone to not die by having a Xenomorph explode out of them.

Haven't played DBD since they implemented matchmaking on PC, but damn, it really must've been a complete disaster if they're backpedaling on it (even if only temporarily).
-
Why not just make it a place where all perks will eventually become available for purchase at once? Older perks will cost less, newer perks will cost more, and perks that are classified as too new won't be available until a certain amount of time has passed since release (to incentivize buying the newest Killers/Survivors/chapters anyways). Also an exchange place where you can trade in your Iridescent Shards for Bloodpoints (if that's REALLY what you want).
-
It ruins the match for all players involved.
That being said, death threats and other similar comments are a much worse offense IMO. You can probably report those and get the offenders banned.

Neat. :) Any details on what the new version will do, generally speaking?
Complete random guess without anything to back it up:
Any time two or more Survivors are working on the same Generator, you receive a Noise notification.
The aura of a Generator being worked on by two or more Survivors will be highlighted in yellow. The aura will remain for 12/10/8 seconds after one or fewer Survivors are working on it.
-
@Boss said:
Their response was that they'll keep it that way because different people have different tastes, saying that some prefer the longer Aura duration, and if people want the level 1 version, then they can choose to not level it up.
Which is flawed logic, cause first of all, the game purposefully doesn't tell you beforehand what the next level(s) are like, so you need information from others or the wiki to even know level 3 is "worse".
And secondly, we can't revert Perk levels, so those who didn't know or didn't care at the time are completely screwed.
and if people want the level 1 version, then they can choose to not level it up.
When I was leveling up Legion, both times I reached a Level when only one perk was available, it was Discordance. So no, I could not simply choose to not level it up unless I opted to just stop leveling up Legion altogether.

Pig. She has a large number of add-ons that are not just bad, but downright worthless.

I believe the killer is only shown the aura of the item if its under FD.
So a survivor who drops their item shouldnt be seen by the killer unless im understanding the perk wrong.
From what I understand, the item won't be put on a disappearance timer unless the Killer knocks it out of their hand, but all items not being carried will be revealed by Franklin's Demise.
-
For what it's worth, if someone hides the key somewhere, there is a non-zero chance that you randomly get within range of it and spot its aura through Franklin's Demise. If that happens, you can now sorta play keeping that in mind, particularly when the game is close to reaching a point where the Hatch spawns. It ain't much, but it's something.
-
Something to do with Chests. :P The flintlocks would also be cool, but how do you balance it?
-
Situationally, it can be. If it goes off while injured in a chase or while you are downed, it would absolutely count as giving the Survivor a second chance.
-
None of the prestige outfits are worth the effort for me personally.
-
Whenever I play as Survivor, I tell everyone pre-chat to do bones. DO BONES.
That said, I still support changing NOED.

It depends from what you mean as kills, because sacrifices do not count, so if 2 survivors are moried or bleed out you can draw or tie, not win.
Whatever improves the Devout emblem (even if I don't care about the emblem system overall).
-
I always play going by how many kills vs. escapes happen in a trial.

People think Freddy’s lunge is BS and that none of the hits land, this is incorrect.
Freddy’s claws are really small, making them actually look like they missed even though it actually landed, for example, if Trapper was in the same situation as Freddy and they were the same distance on the hit landing, Trapper’s weapon will hit the survivor while Freddy’s wouldn’t, but both will count as a hit
Isn't that because Freddy is tiny compared to most of the DBD cast?

Depends on the size of them or we will have another Freddy situation on our hands
What's a "Freddy situation?"
-
A Reverse Bear Trap will only kill a Survivor trying to cross the Exit Gate if the Trap is active and if you didn't deliberately carry them into the Exit Gate and drop them there.

Neither does pinhead or springtrap, but people want them in dbd. If enough people want the centipede in dbd, they might add it...
I mean from a mechanical standpoint. Pinhead and Springtrap could totally make sense to implement mechanically. Not the case with Human Centipede.
-
Human Centipede wouldn't even make sense to include in DBD.

I don’t think the reasoning is invalid. 24m does kinda promote proximity patrol, whereas 32m would be healthier.
Proximity Patrol ain't a problem, though.

If the person hovers 25 meters away it wont give a token. They need to be 32 meters away. This is also a stupid plan for the same reason camping is stupid now. Youre more likely to get gen rushed.
Devour Hope requires the killer to be more than 24 meters away to get a token.

It's in the bracket of it. Since the hook in is in your presence (TR), and you are close enough to spot approaching survivors as well as get back quickly before they heal/peel far enough away from the area. To pidgeon hole camping as literally being next to the hook is an horrific oversimplification. The killer has zero intention of doing anything but get tokens the easy way, ergo, they hover near the hook but in range of the token gain...clearly camping.
To pidgeon hole camping as literally being next to the hook is an horrific oversimplification
The game defines camping as being within 16 meters of the hook, so...

You did not, I did apparently. I had thought it was changed to the Aura effect only. Guess it's the Box + Aura now
It's always been box + aura, though in my opinion it should be aura only.

I did on PC back when Amanda had the ultra rare add-on that reduced the boxes to two, and available traps to 1. She stood in front of the one that (un)fortunately had my key.
Just had a game earlier where an Adam Francis died to one though.
Did I miss something? Amanda still has that add-on, last I recall.

Lol, necrobuuuuuump.
I've certainly gotten my share of kills with RBTs. My two favorite instances were a game where I killed three people with RBTs in one game and a game where I killed someone who was never hooked with the RBT (I believe I ate a pallet before I could hook them, their Trap ended up being in the last box, and rather than actually get it off, they opted to try and heal first, which gave me enough time to reach them and push them away).

Yea... so when a gen is completed the countdown starts and if any traps are in play they become active
or if the trap is placed after a gen is completed then they can try until the timer runs out...
if another gen is completed before the timer runs out it resets
What is the point of this? I don't understand what it is trying to accomplish.
-
Maybe I'm being a dumdum by asking this, but what exactly is the point of M and D if A1 and A2 cover the overall strength of a killer at what I assume are their worst and their best?
-
I'm confused by what you mean by having the boxes "activate."
-
From my experience, it can be opened if the End Game Collapse has not started yet.

Every Pig add-on that deals with Skill Checks

Nothing to do with being survivor sided at all!
It's locked in because when you search for a match that's when the matchmaking happens, so if you queue with your strongest killer for example and then decide to change to another killer whilst in the lobby you are going to struggle...that would also be abused the other way around - you'd queue on your weaker killer and be matched with survivors of that skill level, then switch up to one of your stronger killers in the lobby.
The difference for survivors that there's no difference between characters in the same way there is for killers.
To me, that sounds like a case for MMR based on individual killers being a bad idea.

just stop trying to be arrogant about things, i doubt highly you are remembering truthfully but remembering what you want/need to support your argument, nothing can be done to change my view of this don't even try. As much as it's been a great laugh your attempt to be the best at this game is over the top. i'm done with you. go and see the sky, breathe fresh air, stop playing and you will be better off. I'm out you have made it unfun, so can we ban someone here that has made it unfun to chat in the boards? lol
I don't think it's arrogant to suggest that it's easy to learn how not to accidentally let yourself die on the hook.

knowing that it happens, knowing when it will need to be done, how fast or slow to do it, and what is going on so that you don't get surprised in the game. it takes TIME to get accustomed to the game. you are a fanatic, it will never happen since if you penalize people from doing things the GAME tells you that you can do or decide not to do it. No feature of the game even tells you that the leave match is even there. the tutorial doesn't, the game doesn't, the game manual as far as i know doesn't. it is in the rules that leaving the match in any way other than the exit gates/hatch/sacrifice/killed is not allowed. Your rules are laughable, you are laughable and you do not understand that following the prompts and not succeeding at the prompts is not punishable by penalties! ONLY one game punishes you for KNOWNG the rules and that is paranoia. well your paranoid mind in thinking that everyone is out to make your games the worst around. now I can tell others how idiotic your ideas are.
No. No it does not take time to be accustomed to both not trying to self-unhook recklessly and pushing the same one button until someone takes you off a hook. You are exaggerating hardcore.

so in his first 7 games he has to be an EXPERT? get out of here. you took longer than that I'd wager. you just invalidated your points and your credibility. Honestly expecting a new player to know as much as you and be making the right decisions AS YOU SEE THEM? you know what, from now on, I am giving survivors that I am with, when not in SWF (I know they will come for me), till i get done with my third struggle, if they haven't gotten off their gens and started towards me i'm out bye bye! and this is because you think it's cute to say new players should know what seasoned players do within their first 7 matches.
so in his first 7 games he has to be an EXPERT?
No. Since when is "mash a button" considered being an expert?
-
@Akito said:
Who says that that's the reason why players wanna leave the match?
It's not always the killer, the map. Sometimes you chase the killer for over a minute and nothing happens. Then the killer is a good Oni and the team just potatoes you don't feel like wasting your lifetime playing with bad teammates.
And there are so many more reasons, not just being entilted. And I swear if the developers ruin the option to leave a match by suiciding Im quitting. Forcing players to stay in a game no matter what isn't a viable option just because people think they can force other humans or players to do whatever is in their favor. Sorry if you don't like my decision. Accept it and carry on.

Meanwhile, Killers have no way to leave the trial early currently.
