Most other audio is quieter in PTB. Footstep audio seems to be unchanged. I guess that's why we hear the footsteps louder.
I don't even remember hearing footsteps that well. I remember multiple times trying to listen in on footsteps after being blinded at a pallet but struggling to identify which direction the Survivor went. And this was with my volume cranked up because everything was quieter.
-
I found that audio in the PTB was overall much quieter for me. I don't recall really being able to hear Survivor footsteps very well.
-
I'm still using Agitation + Iron Grasp + Mad Grit + Surge (the last one begrudgingly), and you can't stop me. Now to climb to rank 1. 😋

They would have to be worth a LOT more. They waste your time in game that the other Survivors can use to do things. Again, the point of a Mori is the THREAT, not the execution. If you require the Mori to need more than one Hook you have simply given another sledgehammer to SWF. They are hard enough to get off Generators with the Mori.
Mori offerings that can kill after a one-hook are OP (except Cypress, which sucks). The offerings should not be a threat IMO, not even against SWF. Two wrongs don't make a right.
-
Shirtless Clown.
-
Best way to go about it IMO would be like this:
Devout Shrike Wreath
Uncommon Offering
-Grants 75% bonus Bloodpoints in the Sacrifice Category.
-Grants the Killer the ability to kill one Survivor who has been hooked by your hand twice during the next Trial.
Ardent Shrike Wreath
Rare Offering
-Grants 100% bonus Bloodpoints in the Sacrifice Category.
-Grants the Killer the ability to kill all Survivors who have been hooked by your hand twice during the next Trial.
Make all the yellow and green Wreath offerings like this. And then just make moris count as hooks and worth more Bloodpoints than a regular sacrifice.
-
7000 bloodpoints for that is a rip-off. An offering like that is probably not worth more than a common (and shouldn't br a secret)
-
On the one hand, that kinda sucks (not too much, though). On the other hand, I've always wondered exactly why a gen affected by Surveillance stayed white when it stopped regressing due to being back to zero.
-
Forgive me if I am misremembering, but I think the most recent Survey asked about this exact idea.

I love all the killer mains getting so salty at the thought of these perks being used. The second chance perks exist, get over it. My problem is the game not allowing us to use it in a perfectly valid situation where escape is definitely possible. If I want to run Deliverance + DS + Unbreakable + Soul Guard and somehow happen to survive longer than everyone else without being hooked, why shouldn't I be able to have that one last shot? If I've managed to make it to that point then exactly 0 of my second chances have been used, and I deserve to use them. If the thought of that bothers you as a killer then it's because you know it could work.
I mean, if you're gonna tell killer mains to get over it and then start complaining about how you don't have the chance to self-unhook if you are the last Survivor, when it's already been explained why it is the way it is, the best response would to you would probably be "get over it."

@SandyRobes said:
How about Deliverance + DS + Unbreakable + Soul Guard?
Either 1) you unhook yourself, get downed and picked up right away, DS, escape or 2) you unhook yourself, get downed, killer waits out DS and you pick yourself up and get away because of soul guard? Either way, seems like a last ditch escape is definitely possible and should be allowed if someone wants to bring all those perks.
Seems like this could all be fixed if they just hold off on the auto-sacrifice for final survivors until they've reached the struggle phase. If I'm the last survivor alive and I haven't been hooked yet, even without deliverance, I'd want the option to risk that 4% I might get off.
The odds of everything lining up that way is not worth the many, many games that will go "Last person jumps off the hook and either is downed immediately or just delays the inevitable and gets downed anyways."
-
I personally prefer DBD overall to F13 due to its arcadey nature. F13 absolutely has better atmosphere by far, but I find the speed and gameplay pattern of DBD more enjoyable.
-
Slugged Survivors should be given an option to insta-die once they have bleed out for a certain amount of time (at least half the bar would be ideal).

trustable leakers said it's not licensed chapter
FWIW, the story of Jekyll and Hyde is public domain. In theory, BHVR could make their own version of Jekyll and Hyde for DBD without it being a licensed chapter.

In theory, assuming you started at 0 with every killer. Though that would not be the case.
How would matchmaking determine where a player starts with each Killer they own?
-
@Peanits said:
With the matchmaking rating system, each killer has its own independent rating. If you're amazing at Oni but suck at Nurse, the game gives you easier opponents when you play as Nurse so it's more fair. Meanwhile if you play Oni, it gives your tougher opponents. The reason why you're locked is to prevent someone from queuing as their bad killer (e.g. Nurse) and then switching to their good killer (e.g. Oni) to get easy opponents and play the killer they're really good at.
Survivors, on the other hand, are all the same. There is no gameplay difference between Ace and Jane. Perks are shared between all of them and they do not have a power. You're not suddenly going to be a much better survivor because you switched to Dwight. Therefore, you share one rating across all of your survivors.
I mean, if I only play Pig, I could probably switch into most other Killers that I never play and end up in a position to slaughter newbies for a while.
-
Exactly how is a console Killer supposed to know who is a console Survivor and who is a PC Survivor? The globe icon only tells a person that they aren't playing on the same platform.

The Pig is OP, like I said before, her stealth is insane and her rush attack which she can corner with aswell is messed up. Especially when you play on the hospital/theater where there are no open spaces, when you see The Pig it's already too late. And please don't give me the "but it's not instant kill like Myers"
She has the weakest stealth option in the game because she is the only one who stealths more slowly than a regular Survivor. Also, her "rush attack" isn't used to corner Survivors. The only place where it can sometimes be used is on certain loops if the Survivor doesn't choose to drop the pallet preemptively.

ofc you will protect your main
- Traps are extremely powerfull because it prevent you doing gens
- her dash reach and speed are equal to sprint burst (I can't escape even with that)
- Patrolling is actually easy thing to do. It just guess
- If pig decides to patrol boxes and using her crouch. Its GAME OVER for survivor.
her dash reach and speed are equal to sprint burst (I can't escape even with that)
100% false.

yeah she is. Her lunge always reach end of the pallets
The Pig has the same lunge as every Killer except Michael Myers. That is 100% a fact.

Now I know it's a bait thread.
Friendly reminder that OP has said repeatedly that Pig has a longer basic M1 lunge range than the other Killers.
-
tl;dr - OP thinks that Reverse Bear Traps should be something you should be allowed to ignore.

According to the devs, pig has highest kill rate
I've never heard that said.

well openign an exit gate is an action isnt it?
You don't need to open the exit gate if someone else does it for you.

Whatever his perks are, one of them better pertain to cheese and have the flavor text "Cheese leads to Stilton. Stilton leads to Cheddar. Cheddar leads to suffering."

Well both combined would make tunneling even weaker.
So survivors could run both of these perks until no tunneling is existent anymore and then we would have more perk slots for fun perks :)
I just dont wanna get stunned anymore by suicidal survivors who have 10 seconds left on DS after healing, destroying my ruin and doing half a gen
You've basically made it so any Survivor who makes it to the endgame and isn't on death hook is almost guaranteed an escape.
-
This sounds like the endgame Survivor perk to end all endgame Survivor perks.
-
No. That's such an inelegant way to balance another perk.

Maybe the next chapter after the next chapter
Not saying not happening, but they most definitely would not be hinting at it now.
-
If you can just go around to pick them up, it's not an exploit.
-
No. If you DC as a form of having to avoid playing on certain maps, you deserve whatever punishments the DC penalties give you IMO.

Yeah guys urr... Trying not to feed him IS IMPOSSIBLE. Especially in non-SWF solo queue, sometimes dudes just feed him and he tends to use the Evil off of one guy to chase another, basically effing you over even in the best break LOS and loops.
He WILL build Evil 3, no matter what you do. And you guys are saying he doesn't get a speed increase with EW 2-3 at all, but I SWEAR TO FREAKING GOD I saw him move 150% his speed straight up on Evil 3, EVERY single time.
Myers 3 moves at 115% speed. This is 100% a fact.

PErsonally I would prefer the model T800 terminator( Arnold Schwarzenegger terminator) as a survivor but eh this could do
T-800 would make way more sense as a Killer. Even if future movies had the T-800 as a good guy, can't forget the evil one from the first movie.
-
Hm, so maybe I'm not being so paranoid for suspecting a Survivor deliberately getting me stuck into the corner of the hill (albeit momentarily) after they bodyblocked me into that corner and I had to hit them away.

do you play survivor or killer? which rank?
I'm both red rank and also noticed longer/equally long survivor queues and fast killer queues.
I didn't really play afternoon, more like evening to night (europe UTC+2)
Red Rank Killer; Yellow Rank Survivor
-
It does for me.
-
Is Tinkerer still one of those perks where you need to be a very mobile Killer to make use of it, or can most Killers now properly use it?
-
So far, all of my queue times have been super quick, especially as Killer.
-
Would be cool to follow up on a character who is actively familiar with the Entity's Realm and have them actually appear in the game.
-
The shadowy figure shape seems like some sort of werewolf or something similar, but the glass breaking (and that other noise that I can't make out) doesn't seem like a coincidence. I like the theory that it's the Alchemist. Possibly transforming into some sort of beast-like creature.

That's just it. One paid their way to getting those perks as the other one worked for it through playing the game. Paying for them just makes it easy for them to getting perks that are essential. Considering characters are just skins of themselves. The perks are what matters.
How does that make a difference in the trial if they are both identical? What makes the person who used cells to expedite the process more likely to "win" in the trial than the person who did all the grinding?
-
@IIITweedleIII said:

Toe may toe. Toe mah toe 🤷♂️
Not really. Two identical Survivors with identical loadouts. One grinded the whole thing out, the other sped things up with cells. What is the difference between the two if they get into the same trial?
-
@IIITweedleIII said:
https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/1538050#Comment_1538050
Yes. As long as you level them up. Doing so is "time consuming" so just buying cells to get them is essential paying to essentially win. The reworking of the shrine oughta to be truly rng not just devs restocking at their whim based on the rift and who's on the path
That's not pay2win. That's paying to expedite the process.
-
@IIITweedleIII said:
https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/1538017#Comment_1538017
That's essentially pay to win style.
Not really. No more than it would be by just buying the associated Killers/Survivors.
-
Just make it another storefront where you can buy any perk using Shards or Cells. Older perks cost less, newer perks cost more, and anything that is less than X months old can't be obtained from the Shrine.
-
My friend and I were able to play together for the first time thanks to crossplay, and we had fun. So no. :P
-
3k - 4k = Killer wins
0k - 1k = Survivors win
2k = draw

I'm surprised there is currently no way for console players to only pair up with other console players. It's either all or nothing, which doesn't really seem fair to them.
