  • Calm down dude. I was going to try to make a reasonable argument on why its not in and why its a bad idea. As there are many reasons to why it is a horrible idea. But...

"You try to set this up as a survival CO-OP ONLINE game that's DEPENDENT on TEAMWORK but there's NO voice chat....GG"

This simple line makes me believe you will deflect any reason unless its what you want to hear.

So my advice to you is to go play F13, Hunt Showdown, or PUBG if you want something like this so bad.

Either that or you can get over it and use an outside source VC like everyone else that wants to chat with their friends. I recommend Discord :chuffed:

Keep working on that new game of yours devs, you obviously don't know that dbd will be the great game you made .Not that new piece of #########, now go fix these damn servers already !

They don't even have dedicated servers for DBD, what is there to fix besides their poor NetCoding?

  • Its cause of the offering.

I shouldn't have gotten over 47,000 in a particular match.

  • I made it in. 40 minutes of trying worked! Totally worth it....

A snowy map is possible. I picture the roof of Lery's, as a second map for that realm.

That would be cool, but outside instead, completely indoor maps are lame.

Half and half or all out doors are much more fun.

"If you dont like this then its because you can change your name on PC so its adding something that wouldnt help you but only make changing your name less inconvenient to you since your probabaly a killer main who loves yelling at survivors or asking them to farm"

Unless this entire statement was "satirical in nature" or just being tossed into the thin air. Mostly the "your probabaly a killer main who loves yelling at survivors or asking them to farm" part.

As I said, no need for insults. Especially baseless ones.

  • Not gonna bother arguing with someone who refuses to listen... Or reason.

    Good Luck guy.

  • Nothing like this will ever be implemented, if you want it, then get a PC, otherwise you are stuck with what the console version offers.

  • That is almost a completely separate thing from the game.

We change names using Steam, which is the platform PC users use to play DBD.

Changing your name would have to come in the form of your Xbox gamer-tag or PS4 username, not from the game itself.

Plus it would be a fruitless endeavor even if they could.

Also, this game does not have dedicated servers. Which has a great affect one what they can and cannot do with information and data.

  • Its really not that hard to do.

The vacuum for the killer pick up was taken away just as the pallet vacuum was, to make it fair. There is little to no vacuum at all now.

Plus, the pallet hit box is still stupidly large. Hit so many killers I shouldn't have and have gotten stunned by so many pallets that shouldn't have.

Quite new to the forums but after reading a few threads it seems like any survivors who try to ask a question or post their opinions in the SURVIVORS forum, they are immediately ripped into by people who are obviously killer mains!

I agree that everyone is entitled to voice their own opinions and express how they feel about the game but it seems as soon as a survivor posts something they are pounced on by people ridiculing them and treating them with zero respect, like their views don’t matter!

It’s really childish and toxic behaviour which the people supposedly looking after the forums deem to be acceptable!

Wanna see childish and toxic behavior, take a look at the steam reviews of the game from all the cry baby survivor mains, then see who the childish and toxic ones are. xD

All that fuss over a balancing patch, gimme a break.

  • Its like, breaking all 5 totems is worth it...

You get what, 600 points in Boldness for breaking just 1 of them. Not to mention, if there is a Hex attached to it, then you get 1,000 and the killer loses a perk. Get rid of all 5, and NOED never takes effect, so the killer basically has 3 perks.

Its a gamble, a gamble I see to many survivors allow the killer to win. Personally, I don't run NOED unless its Freddy or Wraith, cause they really need the help. Always ALWAYS, get rid of all the totems. If he did have NOED you will be happy, if he didn't you get extra BP, its a win win either way.

Any time I play survivor though, I use Small Game. Not only to help find the totems, but to also hopefully learn the totem spawning spots, so I can then replace small game with a different perk (Like Urban Evasion) later down the road.

You have the tools to counter and learn, please use them.

I’m confused. Is this a glitch? If one Survivor escaped I should have gotten Gold, right?

Had the same thing happen to me as well. Sacrificed 3, 1 escaped.

I don't understand why everyone says he's fine... isn't he low tier?

Personal opinion, I think he is mid tier at best. Tier lists can be made completely off of person opinion, besides Nurse, since she is undoubtedly the best killer in game, no one will argue with that.

But people even argue second position in tier list between Billy and Huntress for the longest time, now we have people saying Hag is second best, we get people saying Myers is 3rd best, some people pit him low mid tier.

Anything besides Nurse is completely opinion and experience based. Based around what I have been able to accomplish with Doctor, I put him in the middle of mid tier.

  • He's fine, granted I don't play him much. But when I do, survivors just DC, don't want to try, or I kill all of them.

  • Had a match where it lasted all game, and I got 1 of them.

Had another match where it was destroyed within 20 seconds of the game starting. I got 3 of them.

It really is more dependent on the survivor skill. I am not a survivor main, but I can manage a stable 8/10 VS ruin, ergo I ignore destroying it to not waste time. if I stumble upon it sure, but I will not make an effort to look for it. (Plus I don't know totem spawn locations very well)

  • All you have to do is re learn the timing. It really isn't hard.

Kinda specific but i suppose everyone runs self care. It also not much of an incentive to put on over the other billy add-ons. Maybe an add-on that smashes pallets and continues moving forward.

Could be interesting. Either way, Billy Boi needs some Ultra Rares T.T

  • I like to use Iron Grasp, Agitation, Insidious, and Monstrous Shrine when I play LeatherFace with quick chainsaw addons.

I started the game exhausted and everytime I tried to walk, I would run only and I wasn't even holding R1/Shift.

Sprint Burst seems to activate when you press SHIFT while standing still. So opening up Steam Overlay triggers SB when standing or hiding in locker. It also triggers when you spawn and the intro cutscene is going on and you happen to press shift. It's quite annoying but probably something like this happened to you?

Was able to run and do normal things all match, up until the end. Once we got the last generator powered, for whatever reason none of the 3 of us could even sprint. One of my friends did get hooked and rescued, he was able to run, but his perk would not activate (Dead Hard).

The 4th guy, who was not with us, said his was working just fine at that point in time. Not sure what to make of that.

This is such a non issue

They just like to add it to their list of complaints. So they can have something at least. Not that its valid though (Like most of them)

You mean like killer complaints right, waah they brought flashlights, waah they brought toolboxes, waah they brought medkits. Almost all lobby dodges at higher naks aren't due to bad connections but because the whiny killer doesn't like the lobby.

It'll be amazing when they finally fix everything the killers complain about and then watch the same few of you whine about how survivors are op. There's always a common denominator in all these killer cryfest threads. It's the same people whining over and over again.

    Flashlight saves: Nerfed
    Pallets: Less pallets now
    Looping: Less looping spots

Still some places that ened to be fixed.

    DS: getting nerfed.
    SC: getting nerfed.
    SB:getting nerfed

I don't have an issue with the nerfs and actually advocated for them and in detail unlike some of the killers on here that did nothing but complain without offering anything constructive on how to fix it.

It's more than obvious that some of you don't want to play unless the survivors meekly stand under the hook and give you 4k every game so you can strut around how good you are. The majority of you are like the majority of survivors, we want balance for both sides to make it enjoyable and also challenging.

Was referring to the complaints in the forum post made by the OP, but if you want to go off on a tangent that is fine, just make a new post.

    A for effort though :chuffed:

Survivors keep complaining about the exhaustion "nerf", when its really a balance, but fine whatever.

    How does this sound then?

Exhaustion can go on cool down if you are running, but only if you are not in chase. So regardless it will be on cool down like normal.

However, if you enter a chase and run, it will stop the cool down. Walking would proceed with the cool down though, even during chase, as it is now.

Would this make you happy? Or is there only one extreme for you guys?

you want to make changes because people complain? thats not how balance works.

it doesnt need a different nerf than whats coming. it doesnt need your changes either.

"you want to make changes because people complain", because that's what I said. Please don't put words into others mouths. Trying to meet a fair compromise here. So everyone can be somewhat happy. But survivors that are un-reasonable, I.E. all the ones Review Bombing, and killer like you that assume things won't help in the long run.

You all act like I am tying to completely change the whole premise of the update which is incorrect, I am merely suggesting a minor change, that really won't effect much when it gets down to it. Yet no one can seem to grasp that simple Idea, and they go right into hostility...

I’m a survivor main and I say it needs to stay nerfed as is in the new patch, why should you get a extra boost in a chase if you just had one forty seconds before that? I don’t run ds or any exhaustion crutches and I do just fine. Point being Nobody should want to just initiate a chase with a serial killer because they know they have a get out of jail free card that keeps coming back, it’s a slasher game so if you purposely want to “run the killer around “ you deserve to rot on the hook.

You missed my point though. Keep the chase and exhaustion cool down as it is. But outside of chase, when you are running, it could go on cool down if the devs so choose to make it that way. Odds are is that it wouldn't be enough for them though.

Why? Any perks are just obtainable via grinding or buying the characters and then grinding those characters.
Maybe I don't want to farm up the blood to get through those characters bloodwebs, but it might be nice to have that option if some of us were dumb and blew our shard money on cosmetics/characters.

You would probably spend more buying the perks from the shrine, then just buying the killers. Not sure how often anyone would plan on doing that. Since shards can be earn indefinitely, and its not to slow either, much faster than it used to be.

It doesn't take nearly as long as you might think. And even less so than when the game started. It was a ridiculous grind.

I think they seriously screwed up the game for survivors with this last patch. Killers now have the advantage, they can pretty much see exactly where you are now and with the nerf to sprint burst there is no getting away. Your gonna get hooked and if you have one crappy player or DC then you lost guaranteed. So now the toxicity is going to go up and Im already seeing more hacking and tunneling, camping killers. Very annoying update, this is the only developer that actually can break something that is already broken. SMH they should be embarrassed.

Can we stop saying "Nerf to sprint burst", is was a "nerf" to all exhaustion perks, not just SB. I don't understand where this idea comes from.

The patch is fine, I have not had more or less success since the patch started, take a month to adapt before complaining.

Then stop bombing the hook. If you keep doing this, then new killers will see that it works in the form of, "They come to me instead of me going to them."

So instead of whining and complaining, how about taking some initiative and punish them for camping instead of rewarding them. Simple as that.

I wouldn't divebomb the hook if pipping didn't rely on at least 1 or 2 unhook(s) per game.

Once again, it is possible to pip without ever saving or healing anyone. Just saying, slim chance but it is still there.

And since camping is such an epidemic or whatever, then take BT in. Should help 90% of your matches.

  • @powerbats said:

    @Swiftblade131 said:

Pretty sure you can pip up not having saved anyone or healing. Assuming you get a fair number of points generators and chase

You can but on quite a few maps it's really difficult since there's competition to do gens and some people purposely screw up the skill check to make you leave. Again Lery's has 2-4 gens that only allow 1 person to do them and both Father Campbells chapel and Crotus Prenn also have several where only 1 or 2 can do them. Autohaven and it's variations have several where it's 1 or 2 only even ones that should have 2 only allow 1.

It won't change until they either force killers to earn more points by not camping or stop penalizing survivors for someone getting hooked. Since wglf encourages hook farming and so do other perks. They also need to fix it so that gens have at least 3 if not 4 sides more often so 1 person isn't the odd 1 out so often. While that could speed up gen rushing with the bnp changes along with aura changes that won't be as much of an issue.

If they remove the camping penalty for survivors killers won't get anyone to take the bait so often and they'll have to finally stop camping. If you really want to add insult give the camped person more bp for each % progress on gens done while camped. That way teh campee doesn't get penalized for the killers bad play and the killer doesn't get the last laugh because they screwed one person over.

The last part would be only until the exit gates are powered, but at least the bait would get some reward for being said bait and wasting the killers time. Like Boldness points only bait points lol.

I am a DM for some D&D campaigns that I run with my friends. If someone can't make it because they had other life things, or got sick, etc. Then I give them half the XP the party got, so they do not fall to far behind.

I was thinking something like that, but for the hooked guy getting camped. He could get half the of the generators that his team gets done while he is on the hook. Maybe this would help insensitive their teammates to do generators faster. Small idea, but might help.

Maybe something like getting points equal to a quarter of the teams totals in each category, or just straight up let them get a safety pip bare minimum. At least then you are not getting De-pipped.

  • @TheXenoborg said:
When killers complain about pallet looping, survivors say, "Just play Nurse, just use Brutal Strength, just use Enduring."

So if they complain about camping, tell them, "Just do gens, just use Borrowed Time, just escape."

Okay, but we are talking about camping right now. If they have BT then sure, go for the unhook, that is what it is meant for. However, if they do not have BT, don't farm the guy on the hook and just do generators and escape.

I am not blaming the survivors for not rescuing, I am not blaming the guy on the hook (Exception being if the survivor in questions is being an ass, Sand bagging, poor sport, etc.)

Yes generally it is on the killer's shoulders to camp or not. But there are situations where for example, BBQ and Chili did not show anyone. Now the killer can risk checking some generators and maybe finding another person, or play defense if he thinks they might be within the minimum range of BBQ and Chili. At that point, it is not camping, but a defensive strategy, if he sees survivors to confirm this action, then I see no reason not to, since it means they are not working on generators, or at least less of them are. There are many different scenarios we could talk about.

I am also fully aware that the Emblem system has had a large effect on all of this as well. It enforces the behavior to rescue

In the end, survivors really should only go for the saves if they have BT, because they do not know if the killer will go for the savior or the one he already had.
