Its like really sad that we are at a point where things are considered "not gamebreaking enough" to be killswitched. Normaly you would assume that everything that is gamebreaking is killswitched immidiately. Really shows that the game is held together by spit and duct tape at this point.
As for the criteria for killswitch. Shouldn't at least one of the criteria be that enough people that play your game point out that they encounter this bug and that it breaks their games? You got 100s of players and multiple creators complain about this, even point out how fast and easy it is to do with the right setup and that's somehow not enough to at least killswitch it until you have taken a good look at it?
This really comes across as the mindset "we know better than our players and our community what breaks the game and what doesnt" which is what so many players are accusing BHV of.
-
IIts a bug with the fog vial that already exists since the halloween event 4 years ago when the vials were irst introduced.
If the bug triggers you are unable to start chases for the rest of the match. The fact that this bug existed for 4 years, got pointed out by so many people in the recent ptb and they still added the vials anyways just blows my mind. But yeah if your unlucky no chases for u the entire match.
-
Pretty sure they are supposed to not have their filler voicelines. BHV probably pushed this out without real quality control and just missed adding the real voicelines.
-
You actually need to start the game on the Plattform that you bought the new characters. The synch up happens once your at the main menu

How in the hell are people getting anti 'go next' points if they are escaping what????
Does the system really not account for people actually surviving the match they supposedly were trying to leave?
Im assuming that the systems thinks that I tried to kill myself cause I went trough the hook states too quickly. Which baffles me is that apparently using shoulder the burden counts as you burning through a hook state. Like its literary the point of the perk
-
This system is just not thought out. Ive had 3 killers today with no way out, which is now a basically safe win condition. To avoid the crows I have to trigger no way out, then more or less run towards the killer and either stay close to slow the process as much as possible or start a chase where they lose me and I last the full duration of no way out, then go back to the gate and open it with crows above my head. If its only 1 or 2 survivors still living at the end ur literary dead no matter what you do.
Like there are perks that literary force survivors to wait or spent long times doing actions like totems etc. It baffles me that apparently noone pointed out while testing this system that these perks exist and might be a problem that needs to be solved BEFORE the system is put out.
-
I literary just played a game where I had shoulder the burden, used it to take one of the hook states of a teammate who was tunneled, got hooked after that but escaped in the end and got a point for that.
Did really noone at BHV bother to do some sort of quality control or check if this new system works with every perk?
-
I mean at least as a killer you can still do stuff even if gens are being "tunneled", whatever that means. You can go around and defend the other gens, chase survivors etc. Also as a killer you always have a chance for a comeback. As surv pre anti tunnel, if you didn't have the right perks, your gameplay loop would consist of one chase then hook, unhook, down, unhook, down, dead ⇒ congrats you earned 4k points and zero emblems and zero fun, back to queue you go. It forced many survs to run the same strong anti tunnel perks and this forum was flooded with players complaining that they only play against meta build survs all day.
Also the devs tried first to fix it by rewarding killers for hooking different people. Multiple perks have their strongest effect when you hooked most of the team/everyone. Yet many killer players decided it's still more valuable in the long run to simply make it a 1vs3 and therefore an almost guaranteed win rather than using strong perks and risking a potential loss.
ImO it's good that antitunnel exists. Still remember the times where my queue times for surv were sometimes longer than my matches.
-
There has been some decent stuff added in recent years that overall improves the qol of DBD. But that still doesnt change that the biggest problems DBD has atm mostly remain mostly unadressed.
We still have a huge cheater epidemic that doesnt get better. It just comes and goes in waves. Reporting these people is way too tedious (YOU have to gather evidence that that person was cheating and zooming across the map or repairing all the gens in 5 seconds by recording the gameplay and sending it in otherwise no action can be taken. Absolutely baffles me that there is apparently no way for the devs themselves to check if a match had a cheater in it. And even if you report them most of the time no action is even taken). All we ever get in the events is like " yeah we are working on it but cant say anything otherwise the cheaters will know" which they now keep saying for almost 2 years and it doesnt get better.
DBD is held together but duct tape and spit at this point. The servers are a nightmare that get worse and worse. Sometimes I load into matches and everyone has like 600ms ping just cause the server isnt working. The killers old and new get bugged with every new update (looking especially at you Mr. Wesker), pallet vacuuming gets worse and worse as time goes on, it took way too long to fix map offerings (why do you need like half a year between announcing to make it a procentual chance and implementing it?), the game sometimes starts to lag for unexplainable reasons (have seen otz, hens and d3ad yesterday each either fail skill checks or lose chases cause the game just said: nope, i will no longer run at 120 fps now but more like 5).
The changes you listed are nice but its like putting a daisy on a pile of dog poop and going "Look its a bouquet now"

Killers don't like it cause it ruins their power fantasy and your post is literally a proof of that LMAO
Survivors also don't like getting slugged, camped and tunneled, they don't like going against insanely broken killers designed to 4k every single match, they don't like playing on maps that are a guaranteed 4k, they don't like having to repair a billion gens cause the killer is running full regression, rhey don't like automatically losing what's supposed to be a 50/50 mindgame cause the killer has aura reading, they don't like a killer making a ridiculous comeback after doing bad the whole match thanks to stuff like Devour Hope or endgame perks etc. etc., but sure, survivors should DEFINITELY be really concerned about how the killers feel when survivors go next in miserable matches.
The them vs us mentality is strong with this one
-
The abandoning feature you are suggesting would skip entire parts of a match which is gate opening and endgame collapse. Both still lead to chances for killers to get at least a down or even a kill.
I know that its frustrating and I also dont like when survs are toxic at gates for no reason but with this, the killer would either win the match or it would end before anyone can open any gate, which then in turn would mean no points, achievements or quests for survivors.
As a killer you get the points etc. either way no matter if you hook actual players or the bots cause everyone already abandoned. So unless killer bots are introduced into normal matches (which is unlikely) that finish the match for you, I dont think this feature will ever happen
-
As already pointed out hes just way too buggy atm to find actual counterplay against. The counterplay would be to actually run structures he can't hit you through which doesn't matter if he can hit you anyways cause the hit detection is broken.
Also his exhaustion time after canceling the leap is just way too short. You have the mobility of a nurse without the downside of the long fatigue or the very bad movement speed.
In the end he needs to be somewhat balanced. Fun to play but also beatable by normal survivors without cooms and looping strats. That atm he is just not
-
DBD community is very stuck in this whole "us vs them" mindset imo. You can see that every time a new chapter comes out.
I've seen so many comments in this forum the last 2 days that go: kaneki is too strong (which btw almost everyone agrees with be it killer or surv main) , so this game is clearly killer sided so killers suck, which is what I always said.
Same thing happened when the reworked boil over or corrective action came out: this entire forum basically went: "this perk is too strong therefore the entire game is and always has been survivor sided and survivors suck which is what I always said"
As long as there is mains in this game there will always be sides and sides don't care about balance
-
He is very very strong and has no obvious counterplay. He will probably get nerfed very hard once enough people bought this chapter.
Was fun though to not completely hate my life while trying to do a killer adept.
-
I really don't understand these nerfs. Xeno always felt like an overall pretty balanced killer with a low pickrate that was cool to face overall.
Guess there will be even less xenos now
-
For survivor I would recommend Mish. She is a very good survivor player that gives a lot of insight during her streams on why she does certain things.
For killer: even though she doesn't stream that much anymore Umbra. She is the best huntress I've ever seen and a very good player altogether. Can also recommend Rayoxium who is a very good spirit player
-
The risk reward just isn't right for this perk most of the time. You weaken yourself to keep other players in the game that sometimes are already so fed up that they want out anyways. So perk is wasted.
Also solo queue is everyone for himself. Most of the time the people you gift a hook state just instantly leave in endgame even if your still on hook and easily saveable. It's a solo queue thing.
Stopped running it since most of the time it just doesn't feel rewarding

While it is being nerfed, that doesn’t mean it isn’t annoying to deal with until then.
I don’t think they are complaining that there’s nothing they can do or that it’s going to negate the changes, they are just saying that because its being nerfed the amount of people doing it has increased because everyone’s trying to get their “final moment” with it. Which is true.
Same thing happens all the time. Like how Keys were in every game for weeks when they announced the rework.
Same thing with map offerings atm. 90% of my matches happen on crow since everyone is using their map offerings before its no longer guaranteed to get the map you burn

Killer is basically in control of the match. A single survivor is very helpless with zero control of the match. Big difference.
But yes, in usual fashion, there is little insight or knowledge of why people hate finishing a match. Applying punishments is the easiest way and it screams a lack of understanding. Rewards are much better, smoother balancing. Every match should be winnable for both sides not dictated by what the killer brings or performs.
Dont think that rewards would solve this issue tbh. From my experience most survivors that have this "go next" mentality are survivors that are very high level anyways and have the mindset that the match should be against the killer they want on the map they want and the match should go the way they want from start to finish. You cant really bait these people with BP rewards to stay in the match.
I think this penalty system is a good first step if its constantly monitored and tweaked.
-
Legion has to rely on their teammate in this mode but since almost every killer is omegabuffed most of the times that is no problem at all.
I agree that something should be done about legion before the next iteration of 2vs8. People are realising how to play them and that they are very fun when you get a full 8 survivor frenzy which leads to legion being way too overpresent in current 2 vs 8. Out of the 12 survivor matches I played today 10 were legion x random killer.
-
I get why people hate Legion in this mode. They are not really balanced for 2vs8 and ahouldnt exist like this.
But holy moly are they fun. The amount of speed you get towards the last hits of frenzy just feels awsome.
-
It's nice to know that this is happening to multiple people since the event. I'm experiencing the same thing. People literary stopping and then insta zooming through windows, singu tps being super wonky, Dracula transformations being wonky. Already thought my game was giving out

This is a perfect example of the issue with this forums.
No one cares to ask WHY slugging became a thing.
It’s all about the need to nerf killers somehow, without some sort of core mechanics balancing.
Slugging is a thing because they have added so many perks, add ons and items to counter hooks.
There’s a plethora of survivor perks that give second chances, get more health stages, trade hooks etc.
They feel the need to nerf every chase perk and killers good in chase till they become trash.
They made generators fly with perks and op items. They basically nerfed every regression perk till they became “meh” at best.
Then proceed to blame players who enjoy killer with non approved community strats to win.
So instead of asking why, and check what’s possible to achieve with a decent group of survivors, they just label killers as toxic, proceed to create more OP perks to soft patch complaints and keep destroying viable killers.
The full killer roster has 3 strong ones, few decent and a lot completely weak and underpowered, but emotions from survivors are more important than core issues with the game.
Killers are supposed to be a gimmicky npc chasing survivors for their amusement with no possibility to actually win vs survivors with half decent skill.
Community in this forums is always fast on judging the player side, never making accountable the game balance. Strategies emerge from core design, not from players wanting to be “mean”.So yeah OP, they will add base skit unbreakable, along with implementing some buffs like what we saw in 2vs8 and nerf middle of the ground killers till they become weak by all standards. GG.
Didnt even say anything about killers being op or something needing a nerf.
Just pointing out that from what I am experiencing more and more killers use a playstyle where they rather bleed the survivors out instead of hooking them cause they either dont want unhook perks to trigger or dont want to risk the 4%.
This means survivors are either dependend on having multiple unbreakables in their team or to go more or less afk for 4 minutes to wait out the timer.
If more and more killer players do this, unbreakable will eventually become base kit. That's all I pointed out in this post.
The true issue of this forum is that some people read "them vs us" stuff into everything. Instead of reading "killers are asking for unbreakable base kit with this playstyle" they read " I now demand unbreakable to be base kit" and then feel personally attacked for thinking you said something against their role.

The problem with this is that weak killers need slugging:
I'm by far not a michael myers main, but I won't have ever gotten his adept without slugging 1-2 people at once for a huge chunk of the game. It was rotten fields vs a swf and I'm sure I would have lost without it simply because even with a map with almost nothing to work with AND slugging I was on 1 gen 90%.
I know that this isn't an argument for killers that actually use good perks but even then a pig or myers won't be strong enough to play without slugging if you really want to win, it's just physically impossible if survivors actually know what they are doing and have a okay to good map.
I mean I have nothing against tactical slugging. I understand that it is necessary and dont mind being slugged for a couple of seconds so the killer can go reload or chase some nearby surv and then comes back and hooks me.
What Ive seen today is a lot of killers just coming into the game with the intention, that they are gonna slug everyone no matter what and that they are gonna let everyone bleed out to not even risk the 4%. I find it especially annoying when its done by highly experienced killers that would have stomped the survs anyways. Most games Ive seen the Survs lose one chase and are then on the ground for 5 minutes which in the end is rewarded with 5k points.
-
It has to be nerfed honestly. Especially for solo queue players its super unfun atm. You can only counter so much with ur build. Atm you need to bring DS, OTR cause tunneling is still super prevelent, you need to bring unbreakable cause the slug meta becomes more and more present, Shoulder the Burden to stop your teammates from being tunneled out at 5 gens and now you also need to bring counterforce to stand a chance against a full totem build.
The entire solo queue build atm is literary decided by the need to have to potentially counter every possible killer meta. Which shouldnt be the point of perks tbh
-
There really isnt much to like about her imo. She really really for me feels like some sort of "filler" similar to skull merchant. Just some killer to pass the time until the next big licence release. Her code was probably already in the game since her power is just a combination of wesker and deathslinger. I guess the Devs just realise that they need something to release and more or less scrapped her together. No real marketing, no real thinking about her power, no real testing beforehand or considering balance. Thats why she feels so lackluster for many.

@thrkeybs said:
Anything that provides survivors a form of agency is seen as "problematic" and OP.
If it were up to killer mains, survivors would have no perks, run at 85% speed, and would be constantly exposed.
It's like y'all feel a sense of entitlement to always win — and if you lost, for some reason, it must be nerfed.
How to completely miss the point of a thread :)
I did in no way complain that the maps are too op or strong or anything for survivor. The only thing I pointed out is that 70-90% of my games happen on these 3 maps atm cause survivors favour them. Also that I dont like that (again not because they are op) but because this game has like 20 maps and im mainly playing 3 of them in different variations. Which I think its boring.

@versacefeng said:
This is just a list of things you don't like survivors doing.
Well tbf he has a point with some of it.
In many of my survivor games I see survivors follow the killer around after they got unhooked to pull of some DS play or to instantly FL save another survivor that is getting chased. Those are mostly the same survivors that then have a meltdown in endgame chat that they got tunneled.
Not to say that there arent also a lot of hard tunneling killers out there which survivors are really not at fault for.

Just saying Mainly playing vs SWF's is just a lie. Less then 5% is SWF's over all MMR levels of the game. Also if they are burning Ormont ones they are throwing with how gutted it is with its past update.
In the mmr that I'm playing at I would say 6-8 games out of 10 I play against SWFs.That doesn't mean 4 man bully or comp squads but mainly 2-3 friends in an SWF with 1-2 solo queue teammates.
-
I understand the complains yet I still like the idea to finish a match with a mori. Feels far more cinematic than just hooking everyone.
They could just make it so you can instantly mori the last survivor when everyone else is either dead or hooked and already on second hook state.

I'm not talking about tunneling. I am talking about already winning, chasing down everyone — including the person just unhooked — and then letting everyone just bleed out for no reason. And, what about this did you get that I was being a jerk?
Things like this have always been a part of DBD to be honest. I can't recall how many times back in the day I played against Bubbas that made a point out of just facecamping one guy out and then trying to trigger them in endgame chat.
Some people just play this game to be jerks. Just say gg and move on after the game. The fact that they couldn't trigger you or ruin your game annoys them far more than any insult or discussion that you could have in endgame chat tbh

"And not because one side screamed the loudest on the forums or on Reddit."
Skull Merchant 2.0 would like a word.
Skull merchant had one of the highest kill rates in the entire game before her nerf tbf. This kill rate got absolutely inflated by many survivors instantly giving up and suiciding on hook. But thats a story that the numbers dont tell. The numbers just said, that her kill rate is too high and thats why she was nerfed into the ground.
Same with billy. Noone complained about Billy but he had a pretty high kill rate before his changes (that very many people didnt like, survivors and killers alike) and where there was a huge outcry on the forums and reddit etc. He still got nerfed by his new overheat system cause the numbers said that he should.
-
Singularity is more or less fine balance wise. He just punishes the playstyle that most survivors use against most killers, which is holding W and insta using everything. I'm mostly doing fine as him and against him.

I don't think devs are scared about 2v8.
The ones who are really scared, are the people who play exclusively killer, especially those on this forum.
Because they finally realize, that for years people have played survivor not because it is "easy", but simply because it's the role that allows you to play with friends.
When the ability to play with friends appears on the killer side, suddenly everyone wants to play killer.
If 2vs8 was permanent, killers would have to get massive nerfs to rebalance queue times. Which is a complete taboo here.
Sometimes I'm just mindblown by this forums ability to make every thread no matter the content, topic or context an instant "them vs us" thing.

See I don't understand where ppl are getting this idea that 2v8 is the "arcade" or "casual" mode of dbd. The times I played esp this time around, it's just as sweaty as normal dbd. In fact, you can say it's worse this time than last time with the buff survivor classes and blight and spirit being added to the killer roster. I have been mainly playing Survivor in the mode for the last two weeks(just to do the rift stuff) and I've seen so much sweat! On the killer side, I saw mainly the "meta" combo of blight & wrath or Blight & billy. I think I have seen one trapper and maybe two DSs this whole time. Then you have survivors who are running nothing but guide and medic and finishing all the gens in 6 to 8 mins. There is nothing casual about this mode, ppl are being just as competitive in this mode as in 1v4. Also, I've seen plenty of billies and blights slugging so you not getting away from that in this mode either.
Honestly, I think a lot of y'all are just blinded by the fact 2v8 is a new shiny toy or a bad lover you think you can fix. "2v8 is so abusive but I know I can fix it" That's what yall sound like to me. I stated it before and I say it again the only reason why Im so against 2v8 is because it affects my enjoyment of the game. I can't just ignore it and pretend it's not there bc it affects 1v4 SO much. To me 2v8 is not fun on either side, the survivor is boring, and getting the double team all the time is frustrating and not fun. Then your teammates who do nothing all match and will leave you to die in a cage. Then on the killer side, queue times are 20 min long, when you do get a match it most likely will only last 8 mins with you either completely stomping the survivors or survivors genrushing you(man that 20 min wait was SO worth it wasn't it), and as a survivor,r there is a high chance your teammate is potato will not help. For Killer it's only fun if you have a friend like most coop games but as someone like myself who solos this game and has no one this mode is crap. I honestly hope this mode never is made permanent bc I really think it will eventually kill dbd if it was.
I mean it's your opinion and that's fine. But I had a totally different experience in 2vs8 with much less sweat than normal dbd, people goofing around and in general being much more relaxed. And seeing how many players switch I would guess that most share that experience and rather play 2vs8.
As to the killing DBD point: If you make a new mode that much more represents what a lot of players want DBD to be, it's obvious that the old game mode suffers in favour of the new one. But the devs being like: we made this new game mode that so many of you enjoy and play so much that the old game mode, that you dont enjoy as much apparently, lacks players. So we decides to just kill this new mode and send all of you back to the old mode to fix queue times" is imo not the right move here.
-
@BlackRose89 said:
Like I get the mode is popular but to those who enjoy it so much, yall can't be so blind to the fact the mode is doing damage to the game right? Queue times are the main reason I haven't been able to play Killer at all doing this dumbass event and Im of the option no matter what the devs do the queue time problem isn't going to get fixed. Im with @SidneysBane1996 where I think if you enjoy 2v8, you actually don't like DBD at all, and maybe it's time to move on to another game. I also agree with them with the statement that if you want this mode permanent you are just selfish and actually don't care about the ppl who want to play the game with normally reasonable queue times. My question is to those who enjoy this mode why must I be punished when I can't even play the role I want to play while y'all having the time of your life? Some of us don't have hours and hours to wait through 10 to 20-minute queue times just to play a few games of Killer. Now they extended the mode means even more days where I can't play the game bc I can't deal with the long queue times and I cant play Survivor my whole play session without falling asleep.
Overall I do this this mode does damage to the game the longer it stays around. As others said I think the mode shouldn't be more than a bi-weekly or monthly weekend event at best. It shouldn't stay longer than a few days and shouldn't last for weeks.
Honestly if normal DBD wouldn't be flawed or damaged to begin with players wouldn't play 2vs8 in such huge quantities for such a long time but just stick with normal dbd. So it doesn't do any more damage but just shows the damage that is already there. Many players have bad experiences in normal DBD be it constantly facing meta perks, getting toxic swf bully squads, camping tunneling slugging, map offerings etc. All of that does more or less not exist in 2vs8. Most people just prefer the arcade like fun playstyle that mode provides over the sweatfest that is normal dbd. That's why people queue for it.

This is complete copium. You can't see 20ms survivors "getting away with things they never should" because the validation is done on the killer's screen anyway. It doesn't matter if the survivor has 20ms, 0 ms or 1000 ms, if you hit them on your screen they'll get injured, from your perspective it doesn't change anything, you're effectively always playing as a 0ms killer against a 0ms survivor, because all the calculations are done on your computer.
The only way you can gauge survivor ping would be by looking at the survivor's screen. It is physically impossible to see it as killer. The only thing you'll notice as killer is that the survivor will appear to have slower reaction time, but it will be impossible to tell if that's because of ping or just because the survivor player is slow.
Even at 20ms ping, the survivor is still at a disadvantage, they see you 20ms late. On your screen they will appear to have a 20ms slower reaction time. And regardless, it still doesn't change whether your swing will hit or not.
Not really sure if validation really happens only on killer screen and always gives killers advantages.
At least in my experience as a 2000 hours huntress main I had a lot of high ping survivor get hit by a hatched, make an injured sound and bleed but not lose a health state cause the hit didn't register for them.
If it would only be killer validation shouldn't that hit count?

Multiple reasons:
-no real marketing

As the other person said, if I have to do something to past the time in between matches, rather just do that fulltime. I rather go watch netflix or youtube and not play dbd when there are 15min queue times. Some of us also dont have all night to play and having to wait 15 to 30mins for a 5 min match isnt worth the time investment.
I mean it's personal preference. My normal queue times are also quite long with 3-5 minutes so the jump to 10-15 minutes isn't that high and I also started doing other stuff while queuing anyways since my queues aren't instant.
Also if I have an hour to play DBD I'd rather play 3 or 4 fun 2vs8 matches than 6 or 7 normal matches. Seeing how popular this mode is I think many players feel the same
-
I really like 2vs8 and I'm solo queuing most of the time as killer and survivor. The appeal at least for me is that 2vs8 feels way more relaxed and arcade like than the total sweatfest that are most normal games. Also for killer it's fun to get other randoms and see how they play killer and how well they harmonize with you.
As for the long queue times: that's why netflix exists
-
Makes sense tbh. Huntress can combo well with most other killers. It's pretty fun to snipe people that your teammate is chasing and get fast downs with that combo.
Atm a lot of killer combinations just dont work very well. With huntress you at least stand a chance most of the time.
-
Some killer combinations are just so much weaker than others. A fast killer like Billy wraith or blight with something opressive but slow like huntress or nurse works very well and leads to fun and close games (at least from what I've seen) Meanwhile if you get something like huntress spirit it's more or less a stomp since they don't have the speed to really build map pressure and get survivors of gens.

You get free tunneling and camping and don’t need perks to access those features. No difference in survivors receiving the counter play for free tbh.
Killers also get free genspeed and genrush and dont need perks to access that
-
Why should you get free anti tunnel when you can just run anti tunnel perks?
Would be the same as people saying: I get blinded at least once a match so give me free lightborn or I cant find a palett so devs give me free WoO.
If tunneling is such a huge problem for you and you have tools against it then use them instead of expecting to get build in meta perks.
Same argument all the killers have with genspeed. Everyone demanding free reduction while there are like 10 perks for that.

Honestly just wait and see until the gamemeode is out. Killers are heavily altered in this gamemode after all. Who knows how blight will work in 2vs8 or what changes will be made to nurse from the first time 2vs8 was live
-
What you describe has nothing to do with the player amount in General. Dbd had the highest player count of the last couple of months while 2vs8 was live.
Most killer players and many survivors just took the chance to play killer with a friend since at least imo it was super fun and only available for a short time. So there were a lot more killer players in queue than survivors which dragged out the queue times.
In the end you would have to get a lot more players to play survivor but that's probably not gonna happen. After all the fun part of 2 vs 8 is the killer Part. So long queue time during the event it is.

I mean the MMR system seems very confused most of the time. Whenever I pick up a new killer that I have never played before I get matches against the sweatiest SWF with 10k hours each that absolutely stomp me and basically have to play myself down into a bracket that reflects my skill level on that killer. Meanwhile on my main I mostly get very chill and unorganised survivors. At least from my understanding it should be the other way around.
The giant issue, at least in my opinion, with what you are suggesting (longer queue times for better balanced matches) is streamers like Otz, Umrba, True, Spookyloopz etc. . Those streamers are the biggest advertisement that DBD has. Now imagine someone that has never even heard of DBD and just scrolls on Twitch finds OTZs channel and sees him play killer. He or she thinks "hey that looks cool, I know those characters from Horror movies, game looks fun, I might buy that." Then the match ends, Otz has won and is now in a queue for 15 minutes cause the MMR system tries to find someone that might actually stomp him. And suddenly the enthusiasm to buy this game including some DLCs is gone
