What bug are we talking about?
-
With this less abrupt jump, more people will be in red ranks, which means faster queues! yay!
-
I like keeping my rank in purples if I can for faster queues and more relaxed matches. If there was a reason to want to be in red ranks like a shard bonus, I'd absolutely say rank matters. As it stands though, it only affects queue times and roughly how good of players are going to be in the match with you.
-
Not to mention Steve and Nancy's dlc exclusives. The torn clothes are just so bland.
-
Literally unplayable, easily worst killer now, basically no counter to crouching anymore.

But it isn't an easy fix, it reappears whenever you relaunch the game and sometimes you forget to close the chat because we all have those moments.
It can still be ignored or closed. Though, I do agree it would be nice if there was a setting to have it closed by default when booting the game. I personally wouldn't use it but I know some would.
-
As you said, just close the end game chat. Badda-Bing Badda-Boom, no potential for a toxic chat.
-
I actually enjoy playing nurse now more than ever. Her power takes much more consideration than just spamming blinks left and right. Running her without add-ons is more of a challenge now than it used to be, but I'm open to it and still consistently 4k at rank 3 every time I play her, even without ruin. But I can see how it can be frustrating to play, you just gotta adapt to the changes and make the best of them!
-
Balanced Landing is still going to be a decent perk. Sure it's situational, but in my eyes, it actually got a buff to stealth and a more consistent change to be like other exhaustion perks. Lithe, Dead Hard, Sprint Burst, and Head On all don't allow benefits while you're exhausted, so BL stood out like that, which was odd. Now infinites with BL aren't going to be possible, so I'm happy with the changes!
-
Welcome to the fog, friend!
And my favorite killer isn't necessarily a specific killer, but I adore running Save The Best For Last, it's an awesome perk. But if I had to pick a fav, I love playing Ghostface, Doc, and Hag!
-
Steam x Microsoft Store, not any other platform yet.
-
It's one of the Trapper's strengths, just gotta try your best to make it out.
-
They're making DC penalties a thing, what you're asking for is pretty much already in the game with the existence of the "Leave Game" button. Adding the option to concede a match is just the same issue all over again.
-
Looking over the leaked challenges, I'm actually impressed with how the difficulty won't be insane. This should be fun!
-
My usual is as follows:
- BBQ: For bloodpoints and tracking.
- Iron Maiden: Faster reloading and the occasional tracking.
- Ruin/PGTW: To give a bit of slow.
- Whispers/Nurse's: Tracking
sometimes I switch up my slowdown perk or my tracking ones, but Iron Maiden and BBQ stay in there for me.
-
Camping is a legit strat, like it or not. I never really do it, but I can see the value in doing so if someone is ruining the match for their fellow survivors. I'm willing to lose a pip for it since rank does nothing for you.
-
I'm fine with broken keys. As a killer, I don't ever notice if someone is holding one since I don't care if they escape via hatch. As survivor, when I get one, I feel that it's my newfound duty to bring that key out of the match. Sure I never bring items in, but it's a fun little objective for me.
-
Good thing rank pretty much means nothing. Once you ignore ranking up and purely play for fun, the game because a whole hell of a lot less stressful and annoying.

We removed efficiency buffs and debuffs from all items. They remain on perks. Efficiency buffs on items were just a weird way of altering the number of charges, so we removed them.
With perks it makes more sense since they operate on more than just an item, so it may need to give different raw numbers of charges. For example a perk affecting both toolboxes and medkits would need to give different numbers of charges. But an addon only works with one item, so we can simplify that and make them just mess with the charges themselves.
The sport flashlight (green rarity) still shows 8 seconds but with decreased battery consumption rate. Is this the same thing as an efficiency buff or is it a different situation?

Dude ikr, I'm so damn excited for the Oni. The devs outdid themselves this time, really truly!
-
That'd be interesting to know. If it relies on blood left by survivors, it's a hard counter. However, if it's like, a thing where the injured survivor leaves orbs, it directly benefits The Oni. This one will be a neat synergy to see tested.

Breakout does not stack.

Oh thank, that'll at least tone down the perk a tad.
-
My thoughts on this so far:
The Oni:
As a power, the ability seems pretty neat and interesting. Benefitting from the injuries of the survivors and giving him two powers seems rad.
Zanshin Tactics looks to me like it benefits newer killers the most, but might work really well when paired with body block wraith, which is cool to see.
Blood echo seems like it might have some value, though I wouldn't replace a better perk with it. I'll have to see how it plays in game to really know.
Nemesis is a perk I might start running if I'm running something like Dying Light, so I can see some synergy there or with other obsession related perks/add-ons (such as Myers' perks or the stalking add-on).
Yui Kimura:
Not much to say about how she looks, but she does look pretty damn cool.
Lucky Break is probably going to pair well with Iron Will and/or other stealth oriented perks so you can lose track of the killer, but scratch marks are what might make or break the perk.
Since killers should already break safe pallettes, Any Means Necessary seems cool and as a nice alternative to more meta perks (assuming you can get value out of it).
Breakout is most definitely going to find a home in teams that want to body block the killer. Hopefully this thing doesn't stack or else we might have a bit too strong of a perk on our hands. Who knows though, maybe that 20% will be very little, but I have a hunch it won't be. On the bright side, it'll pull survivors off gens to block the killer from a hook, effectively slowing the game down a tad, but might be more in the survivor's favor.
Overall, I'm very excited to play this on the PTB and see what makes its way through to the full release!

We're getting some exclusive skins, be happy with what we're going to be given and don't get greedy. Legacy is something that they said isn't going to come back.
-
Free cosmetics are coming, don't be entitled to more and instead be content with what we're getting. I for one am super excited about the cosmetics and I could care less about Legacy, the people who got it definitely earned it.
-
If I see an OoO player, I tunnel them into the ground, even if it means right off a hook. Makes the match so much less of a pain.
I know it's not the most fun option, but it's available.

Rank 2, US
1 second - 1 minute

I think she's as balanced as she's gonna get right now. It feels rewarding to hit your blinks instead of just "oh, I'll try again right away". Plus it feels like there's a little more counterplay on the survivor's part.

But why is there crossplay between these stores in the first place? They are for PC so i don't get why BHVR created different servers for the windows store.
I'm thinking maybe to test crossplay on similar systems to see how well it does. The option could be to not force people into a test.

Giving players the choice is the reason I assume. If I want to be able to see everyone's steam profiles after a match, I'll keep it set to no crossplay, but if I'm chill with not doing that and want more players to play with, I'll set crossplay to on.
When I get the chance, I'm enabling crossplay for potentially quicker matches.
-
It has to find people based on rank and ideal ping, give it time. Yeah it can take a while, but it's trying its best.

Ah hell, he's too strong to consider, man.

>Looks at Clown, Doctor, and Wraith in high ranks
yup, op

The perk still does as far as I'm aware.

-
Mad Grit, STBFL, NOED (to an extent), and Blood Warden all help punish that behavior, but I don't see an issue if survivors want to have a bit of fun at the gate.

@POTUS45 said:
nurse isn't even fun to play against. what kind of "chase" is it where the chaser is teleporting around everywhere? lame
Exactly, but it is a bit better now that she has to take more time between blinks or risk getting punished.
-
Or they could add all those suggestions to the current Dead by Daylight and not make people pay for every dlc again. Plus, with a second DbD, the community split would be even bigger.
-
I have a blast playing new nurse because she actually takes thought. "Do I want to jump the gun and use my one blink or should I wait the three seconds to ensure that I can hit?" It's such a breath of fresh air to have to really do a lot of planning on the go now as her!
-
I've managed to stalk behind walls, it's a pretty broken mechanic atm. Hopefully a fix is in the works!
-
Strange complaint, but just use NOED and open a door yourself. Worked like a charm for me!

Creating a new killer is a very large process. I don't think the next killer will be penny-wise, but he will for sure come to DbD someday.
We already have a clown, but rip chonky boi I guess.
-
did we all forget No Mither was a perk. It's a major liability if you don't know how to run it or avoid the killer. Perks should be meant to either provide a slight benefit, a change to how you play, or a risk/reward system. OoO is in the best spot it's been in as far as I'm concerned.
-
How thicc clown is.
-
I haven't completed it yet, and I haven't done exclusively just one role, so you missed that option in the poll.
-
Not sure what Doctor has to do with it. But with dedicated servers, survivors can join a lobby that hasn't even had a killer in it, so it takes a bit for killer sometimes due to them needing to find a lobby I think.

I also like how they removed that high pitched noise when you gen teleport. I thought it was a cool sound, but as someone with tinnitus it was very annoying especially since I teleport often.
I hardly even noticed since I'm more keen on trying to hear survivors, but that's definitely something else to be happy about with the QoL changes to Freddy!

It ruins his ability to perform mind-games around windows because he's literally telling everyone that he's vaulting.
All jokes aside, that's very fair. I'd either like to see him grunt more often in chases or just ditch the window vault grunt.
