The fastest and easiest fix would just to be increase the slow of his gas, the duration and improve reloading time.
There's a bunch of various things you could do to spice things up;
- Hitting a survivor directly with a bottle douses them in the Afterpiece Tonic, making survivors leave a trail of gas after leaving the cloud for an additional 1-2 seconds.
- Reloading bottles releases gas around the Clown.
- The longer a survivor says in the gas, the longer the duration will be.
- Intoxicated survivors cannot see the red stain.
- Remove the ######### vaulting noise the Clown makes when jumping through windows.
Those would be some nice changes, but how dare you insult the lad's vault noise, it isn't his fault he has breathing problems from all that gas!

Doesn't really help promote anti-camping if you yourself plan to camp. Just power through and play fair in order to not plant seeds of toxicity!

Not gonna lie, I always wanted to mess up a skillcheck on purpose when our whole team was on a generator
It's always so satisfying for some odd reason if you're messing around!

I can understand the frustration of being camped, but only if it's being face camped. Though, what I can't understand is why you would want to do so to someone else? You don't gain anything from it and you're only taking your anger out on someone else.
Whenever I get stressed or a bit miffed in DbD, I get up, stretch or work out a bit, drink some water, and do some breathing exercises. Helps keep my head clear and calm and makes me more ready to hop back in. Plus, it feels nice to get a workout done while waiting for a match if it's taking a while!

I like the sound of Devoted Darkness! Though, the killer sounds like a meh demogorgon.
-
The event half in terms of hooks and gens is something I don't really pay attention to anymore, which does suck, but I absolutely adore the skins and the extra objectives to play with, really spices up gameplay for me!
-
I think Peanits said in the past that it was a big (or hopefully a bug). It's something I always had fun being hit from and hitting with, I hope it comes back!
-
Nvidia Freestyle/another similar software or monitor brightness helps, but I agree it's a bit too dark atm.
-
Is the 4th tome even out? I thought it was locked behind a time wall until later. If that's the case, why are we jumping on the ship of "they didn't do anything to fix this" when we don't know yet? I'm open to being proven wrong though!
-
They add a bit more charm to the game (pun intended) and it's always so neat to see survivors with stuff jangling on their belt! The hook charms are super cool too! It's awesome to see some more customization for killers that really helps give them just that tiny bit of extra flair!
-
Just verify your game files and you'll be all good, chief!

This does not sound like my experience or others I've witnessed. I don't know how one can claim killer is more responsive when your actions are dictated by a server miles away. Either you are a pure M1 killer or rarely use your M2.
I'm just telling you my experience. Consistent ping across all players has vastly improved my experience with killers and survivors. I'm usually sitting at ~50 ping, and it's been like that in almost every match.
To clarify about the M1/M2 part, I mostly play Clown and Doctor, so I don't really have a damaging power most of the time when I play. Being able to be more consistent with when I do and don't get a hit through windows/pallettes has just made killers feel better to me.

How is killer more "responsive" than running locally on your PC?
Everything has felt more responsive as killer ever since survivors had a much more consistent connection. Lunges, hits through windows, and hits through pallettes all connect consistently for me and I don't feel like I'm taking a gamble each time I swing.
-
I've actually really enjoyed dedicated servers as both a killer and survivor.
As killer, my hits and actions feel more responsive (aside from stalking as Myers/Ghostface).
As survivor, I mostly feel like hits connected, and if I don't, at least it's consistent across my games.
With P2P, it was so painful to play a match with a killer who had horrible ping, slowing everyone down to a crawl. I'm all for the dedicated servers and can't wait to see if they can patch them up to make everyone's experience as positive as possible while still making sure they work properly!

they are always broken lol
Last year's Halloween event seemed fine to me, but that's my experience.

@Peanits -- you guys are busily sabotaging your messaging again, as I type this. Post something. Literally sit down at your computer right now, type an update, and post it.
There are still a ton of people playing who don't read the forums, or aren't informed on what's going on, and are probably still confused about the delay or assuming the patch is today. Another Tuesday -- especially the Tuesday before Halloween -- without an update on the Halloween event situation just squanders more goodwill by the minute.
Try to be optimistic, I'm sure we'd rather have an event that's working and late instead of an event that's in shambles and horribly broken.
-
I'm really not sure how to feel about dedicated servers. They feel super damn nice for me as killer and as survivor, but I always hear complaints. I'm torn on the subject and I'm pretty curious if there's a way for Behavior to improve the quality for everyone.

Think its kinda dumb that Franklin's doesnt work on secondary attacks. Use Bubbas chainsaw and you cant get use out of Bubbas perk...#########.
yeah, that perk doesn't quite make sense since, in the movie, Franklin drops the flashlight after getting chainsawed, so maybe it's just a strange balancing thing?

Trappy Boi's Mori is the best, don't deny the power of slaps!

I thought infectious fright still worked through stuff like chainsaws, but I could be wrong. Personally though, I like that some perks like Save The Best For Last don't apply to secondary attacks, because an 8 tokened STBFL chainsaw would be a bit much.
-
Freddy is really just "Teleporting clown, but better".
-
All a clicking survivor does is give you double gen pressure for the price of one chase assuming you're not chasing them. Plus, BM'ing is a major benefit for the killer, because then the survivor is wasting time.
-
A guaranteed emergency med is gonna be pretty rad with Botany Knowledge. Self heals in only a few seconds is gonna be pretty strong, especially during long loops!
-
Pack it up, guys, we've figured out the forums. The show's over lol
-
Had to go look what the perk actually did before voting, but yeah, I'd definitely tell the unhooked survivor because having no blood or scratch marks is pretty big.
-
I noticed this yesterday and was pretty dang upset, it looked rad and it was fun to be a shiny boi! Hopefully this was a mistake and not intentional.
-
>points at Myers' stalking recognition

From what I last heard, and don't quote me on it, items in the rift (excluding charms) will appear in the store 6 months after the rift ends.
I think it's a good compromise to exclusives if what I remember is good.
-
Voted The Game because no coldwind farm option tbh.
Haddonfield is a close second for me though!
-
While I know it sucks, they're still testing and improving the servers, so keeping a calm head and providing feedback in a constructive manner will help improve the servers. I've had decent luck with them so far, and I hope they sort it out where everyone isn't struggling due to them.

Despite Ruin's clear strength, I never end up having it last all too long, so Pop will always hold a special place in my heart (also, Clown is bae).
