  • nah spinechill is amazing as it is, i always love running that perk. it increases every single action each time the killer looks your way, it also counters all stealth killers as it is. the amount of gens, heals or gates i have finished because of spinechill is insane and honestly if it got buffed it`d be a little OP and then become meta meaning stealth killers are unplayable

  • im doing fine, just wish my team would actually do something... escaping is a team effort, you shouldnt be focused on escaping but doing well. besides maybe the smaller maps will push some red ranks back to purple/green where they belong skill wise

I'm a Rank 3 Survivor and I haven't run Decisive in the past month. I have the perk unlocked it just doesn't get consistent value. If I'm with a SWF, I sometimes run Mettle to make an Obsession because my friends don't like Decisive either (and they're Rank 1 Survivors).

im forced to use the perk because all i play is slow and sadly i get matched with really bad players that will always do unsafe hooks etc. my last game i had 19kpoints to the next person on 6k...

  • every single NOED user i have seen got 1 extra hook max, which was often on an already injured person. if youre struggling either get better or get the TOTEMS, really not that difficult tbh and you should do totems. i dont use NOED but nothing is more boring than people who swf and rush gens.

  • its not less meta just everyone is red ranks so you get people that are new, not as skilled or people that dont own the dlc. any good player will have it, especially those SWF tryhards...

  • On both actually, its not just on one side... having said that i find more issues with survivors whether theyre on my team or im playing killer

  • could be your internet, could be where youre located or it could be you being on the game at busy times so youre going on different servers than your suppose to

I wish I played with more people like you! 😂 Thanks for the response. <3

well i guess thats what happens when you play the game and get use to all the killers, none really scare you in the end but i feel that some games i end up doing the longer chases and still 3+gens like what even 😂 but yeah chases are fun and its the only part that can show skill sadly and i know some people struggle with it so as long as they do gens chase me all day 😂

  • 2nd is the hardest to get up, if you dont escape the best you get is silver, all the rest are pretty easy to get up though and in my opinion too easy, although i think they made a change to altruism? i think i read that in the patch notes or at least i hope because thats too easy to get up

  • i just run, i dont really care about the perks i use as they tend to just be random but im able to lead on really good chases regardless so i dont mind leaving tracks or being chased...

  • The thing is theyre not making it easier for any side but are balancing it.

Alot of casual killers relied on ruin, now thats gone theyre struggling and wont be the same rank as they use to be before the ruin change.

Alot of survivors would abuse God-loops which take no skill, thats not making it easier for killer thats making it fair. there are plenty of strong loops if you learn to run them correctly.

TOO MANY KILLERS AND SURVIVORS ARE THE WRONG RANK. ranking is too easy and in the past there have been things that made it easier but theyre slowing getting removed. killers cant just reply on perks, survivors cant rely on god loops or 20 pallets. Dont take it the wrong way but youre probably at the rank you deserve if youre struggling so much, plenty of people can rank up fine.

    @sulaiman said:

The problem is and stays swf.

in my opinion, you cant balance the game both around swf and solos.

but you got an swf in about 50% of the games, if i remember rightly (we saw statistics about that as well. Solo on pc is just over 50%).

But how will you balance? Thats the point of the 2k 2e rule, i think. A decent killer will most likly lose vs the swf he gets every second game, but win against the solos the other times. If you balance the game in a way that solo players without any sort of team play still win, how should a killer then stand a chance against swf?

If the killer is strong enough to take on a swf with coms, solo players have a really hard time to survive.

just add a de-buff to swf, i admit swf is strong but i mainly play solo however every so often id play with my brother and games become much easier, a simple de-buff to groups (playing with 1friend=1.5% 2friends=3% 3friends=5%) to repair and healing, SWF is strong due to the information they can relay to each other (killers position, whos he chasing, hex locations, gens that are close, which pallets are used, perks he running, whos going for the save etc.) which for a solo survivor is alot of perks to gain that info unlike swf that dont need the perks, the debuff would simply mean you have to work better as a team, you have the advantages of information so prove your skill, debuff gets higher and jumps to 5% due to it being a full team.

  • well iv had the game for nearly 3 years, i play on console so my device doesnt make a huge difference but for me there have always been games with terrible frame rates/jumps. SWF has always been strong, just due to the information they can tell each other. as for the map reworks they seem fine, only been a day for me to see them but much better than before because i dont need to drop chase everytime someone runs to it.

been rank 1 on both sides for 2+years and i dont really mind any perk, killer or items. all i prefer is to see a mixture of them, so it just mixes it all up, sadly you dont see every killer at rank 1 but as it comes to doctor and freddy i dont mind them it just something new to learn which is where alot of people seem to go wrong and i wouldnt say i struggle going against them anymore than other killers and its usually my team that will struggle but the same goes for hillbilly tbh and i see him as pretty weak. Biggest perk issue i have is DS, its just overall strong and lasts for 60seconds so even if you try to avoid that person you could still get DS`s later on so it should deactivate after other hooks but it should counter mori`s. NOED is fine, 5 totems between 4 players isnt bad at all people just need to start getting them, i never used the perk and i hardly see it and when i do at most the killer gets 1 hook from it. and match making is so bad because there arent many low rank killers, this is because the game was made harder for casual killers after the ruin change and maybe thats why you see NOED at those ranks because theyre struggle to pressure etc. but not only that more people play survivor and pipping as survivor is so very easy and near impossible to de-pip, BT can carry you to low ranks just through altruism safe saves and this is why the game can feel imbalanced as some games you get 4 players that cant loop etc. but somehow reached red ranks through easy pipping so you can get 10-12hooks and them do 0-1gens then other games no matter how fast you down the gens can be getting done fast (these are normally the swf groups). the fix is to fix the ranking system, make it so ranks mean something and then you can balance to it, also swf needs a debuff... doesnt have to be huge but when you just play with 1 other person the games go so much easier so i can imagine what a full 4man is like to play on. the reason behind the de-buff is everyone can call out the killers position, any hex`s, whos being chased, what gens are close, where youre injured or downed etc. which is alot of perks if a solo wanted all that kinda info, so a slight debuff to repair and healing to balance for all that info they gain as well as to make it more challenging so they cant rank up easier than solo players (a team cant carry you as easily)

  • clown isnt as bad as people think, while there are stronger killers each one has their bonuses and with the new tile spacing and removed god loops clown is a pretty mean foe at anti-looping. my build i use is:

Corrupt, dont leave home without it lol, great way to force the map smaller which means less worrying about other gens and its a great way to get the game rolling, usually get 2+ hooks before its over

POP, another gen defense as youre gonna want it, doesnt matter how fast downs can be gens can also be fast so you really wanna manage them the best you can so 25% regression per hook yes please

BBQ, you need a perk to find other survivors, it saves time and can help you to know which gen to pop... oh and bonus BP thats nice too

Brutal, this perk is an honest god send when combined with the add-ons i use, but this allows you to hit gens fast and destroy pallets faster all saving some time, before breaking the pallet hit the survivor with your bottle (theyre likely waiting on the other side for you to break it) what this will do is slow them down so they get less distance and you destroy the pallet quicker which means even less distance.

Add-ons: Extra duration of effects + bonus hindered effect (sorry i forget the names) really slows them down for a long duration too making him even more anti-loop

extra: probably obvious but clowns anti-loop which means at most loops you can walk one side and throw a bottle then turn back and chase them through it, on most loops this can be a hit with these add-on if you can cut the corners right or worst case they drop the pallet fast (then do as said in the brutal perk section) be on point with aiming, hitting a bottle as theyre running from one loop to a new one can mean a hit or a super fast pallet drop, remember the sooner the pallets drop the sooner their defenses have gone

  • So i made sure i couldn't really fail this challenge so i got it first try but and at rank 9 it shouldnt be too hard for you but this is how i done mine if you wanna give this ago

Trapper (great ability to trap around the basement, can get multiple people in there at once)

Corrupt to slow down early gens and allows some set-up/chases,

Agitation for faster carrying to basement,

iron grasp just to be sure i got to the basement every time

BBQ, just so i can see roughly where people are and where i can start pushing survivors

Use the yamaoka map offering, sooooo much grass means easy to hide traps all around and the basements themselves are in great places

Add-ons should be a bag, any kinda but the more traps you can carry the better and darker traps/setting tools its up to you

Find basement, set a few traps around and begin hunting. get the first person in and use BBQ to get an idea where people are, finish setting up and find another, always try chase them near the basement, going too far from it can mean easy saves for them and you can lose alot of pressure

  • i would say

    Monitor&abuse, Whispers, POP, BBQ

    or

Corrupt, Pop, BBQ then whatever you like for the last one, pick it depending on your offerings, add-ons or playstyle or even what the survivors bring in

  • it could work for survivors but most would probably pick bill tbh, i personally use we`re gonna live forever then a perk randomizer. cant do that on killer though i dont wanna get bullied when going against stronger teams

you did see the film where he full on ripped apart everyone inside a club, some of those people was just drinking... and i know alot of licensed are wanted but these films are so original and at the start of horror and i mean hooks are in so many of the films to kill people too, seems a good match to me, i just want some horror and gore put into the game in the next chapter

  • A few mins ban on once in a blood moon problems isnt an issue, that timer will soon be over and resets in 24hrs... i certainly dont get DC`d that many times per day (havent got one error or anything actually) as for hits well thats connection and you can see that to the server before the match even starts, and people still think freddy has a longer lunge so... its hard to tell whats fact and fiction from posts, often i see people complain about the DC bans yet they have like 6+ hours, thats a huge ban when they claim not to ever DC

  • Corrupt - helps the start of the match, can get 1-2hooks and as legion 4 injures with little issues

Thana - because you keep people injured most of the game everything is slowed down

POP - regress those gens after everyhook, nice combo with thana and at game start with corrupt you can really protect gens

BBQ - Gives some tracking idea where other players are or what gens theyre on (plus Bonus BP, Bonus BP is always nice haha)

I think it's weird that you're the one who thinks that.... I simply think the artist did a good job with what they did. If you don't view it sexually from the start, you can see that's not what the artist was aiming for.

Art is interpretive, so your opinion is a reflection of your view. You immediately viewed it sexually yourself.

umm you can clearly tell its what the artist wanted... i see a killer that has been toned down in alot of her aspects such as facial features, the nature of her body, the blood etc. all been changed to try make her attractive, they also put her in that pose which is a common model pose to you know show things off and be attractive but sure... you say its me even though im the one not wanting "hot" killers instead wanting actual gruesome and terrifying killers. its just weird that people change killers into some sexual object, probably teh same people that watch anime or something thinking the cat girl things hot but shes actually underage like RIP

  • i had a similar comment, i killed all 4 and had 10-12 hooks cant quite remember but i got a message saying "you had the easiest 3 gen" but they never even completed one gen in the match so i honestly had no idea what that team was on about haha

You are comparing perks on something that is consistent (Some survivors can't just decide to teleport or run across the map with a 1 shot) vs perks on Killers with unique powers.

youre talking the extreme, not many killers have insta downs that doesnt take time to activate or build up. sure iri huntress is a pain im not saying that but when you look at spirit she doesnt have an insta down, yes shes a strong killer but she is slow unless using her power, she can be looped and tricked. of course i look at the constant/average or it would be stupid, looking at the extreme doesnt balance the game or perks as they arent common games. maybe the issue isnt the perks but the actual survivors, pop and noed have been in the game unchanged for years and never been complained about... im guessing people are either new or ranking up too fast beyond their skill level, thats not being mean but i see red rank survivors that struggle leading chases and are scared of doing gens or just missing skill checks. but all of that doesnt make the killer or its perks OP it just means that survivor has stuff to learn. red ranks awhile back had a non nerfed spirit with ruin, pop etc. and could escape... too often people think they should be escaping every match or be able to lead on a chase for 2 odd mins, i showed how pop wasnt op through simple maths, someone above stated 5 totems 10seconds each with 4 survivors... theres plenty of time and ability to play around the perks or beat them. games arent meant to be over within 3mins and thats why defensive perks exist.

  • i know right? considering her lore and background you would of thought theyd have one, like i know shes more into the study of plants etc. and so she has the apron cosmetics but they wear lab coats too and it`d suit her so very well. I always try match my survivors to their lore so a lab coat would be my dream

  • @AsePlayer said:

Somebody did not use their critical thinking skills before posting a reply.

yeah youre right, 1 person doing the objective for 15seconds while someone is getting chased is too hard. i mean its not on survivors to do their objectives or be better at running the killer around it must be the killer perks too OP. my bad.

  • i mean most claudettes all run prestige gear to blend in with everything, its honesty sad and stupid... id love them to change her shirt to white and reduce the blood and watch how many people change, personally id like a full on lab coat for her

  • but let me guess DS,BT,DH etc. is okay on really good survivors? pop is fine and so is noed, i dunno why there are so many noed posts i hardly ever see the perk used let alone worry about it, totems are easy points, if you have inner strength easy heals and pop the killer needs to get a down, pop does 25% progress, full gen is 80seconds so pop can remove 20seconds.. so using math the survivor needs to lead on a chase for 15seconds then get picked up and carried to a hook while 1 person does a gen. thats 1 person btw there are 2 others on the map on other possible gens, not to mention the killer then has to walk to the gen to even kick it so all it does is slow the game down slightly unless your team isnt doing gens... or you can do gens together and fast so he cant even use pop

  • @DBDgamer321 said:

Hello , It is extremely difficult to join a lobby as a survivor. Whenever I choose to be the killer I am able to find a game right away. This problem has persisted since I downloaded the game which was less than three days ago. Please fix this. Would also be great if a feature was added where XBOX players can change servers or even see how many active players are on DBD.

so if the ping at the bottom is really high just back out and find a new one, you can sometimes connect to a different server.

as for the lobby times they cant help that, because youre new and still ranking up there arent that many people within those ranks, most people have reached 1-8 as pipping becomes easy once you learn the game. also remember there are more survivors as well, i would recommend playing with someone else in a lower rank if you can to try force a match or go on your phone etc. while you wait

  • i honestly dont know why they keep adding this in, like is nice knowing youre wanting to improve it but its not on the devs its on the players... there are really nice friendly people out there but they arent as likely to reply and some days i have sent a message to everyone just saying GG and complimenting something they did or having a laugh and you do get nice responses back, however. as sad as it is there are alot of people that go into games just to be toxic and try to ruin peoples day and are likely to send hate if they die and sometimes if they escape, its how competitive games go sadly

People (killers and survivors alike) are always going to complain about something. I think a lot of the complaints currently about non-consequential perks or meta perks for killers is a symptom of the imbalance felt by solo survivors, because - no, most adjustments to the game in the last year have disproportionately benefited killers, while being somewhat inconsequential to SWF teams, but a compounding headache for solos.

im always solo, honestly i think its because of how easy pipping is. you have to think so many people are ranking up so fast theyre getting into ranks without knowing the more advance things about the game, like sure swf is stronger than solo`s but you can still get bad swf or a bunch of great solo survivors. i personally only have fault with DS/BT DS for killer reason as i think it should be full anti-tunnel instead of how it is currently and i hate BT even as a survivor as too may people run it for easy safe unhooks which they end up pipping off even though it hasnt helped the situation (they go down in a trade anyway). i dont mind swf and i dont mind meta perks but when all combined with skillful players eh.

Oh yeah it was nice that rank actually had some meaning back then. I think rank reset changes had a greater impact than ruin nerf tbh.

definitely a mixer of both, i never understood there reason behind it, like good players will rank up fast reguardless how far you set them back unlike it is now for example i was rank 1, was sent to rank 5 and all i needed was 5 pips before next rank reset and i will only go back to rank 5 again. either rank reset needs to be harsher or remove safety pips so in a match you de-pip or pip so the lower rank you get the more consistent your skill needs to be as its near impossible to de-pip

  • @Waffleyumboy said:

At least back in Ruin days it was a coin toss whether the killer got a massive advantage or completely screwed...without Ruin the game is no longer balanced or fun. Please devs return to us the perk that decided most games based on the spawn of a totem :'(

I just don't get the Ruin love...I should probably make a thread on it or smth lol

i only loved ruin because it meant most red ranks knew how to lead on chases etc. but because gens have been made easier and therefore the whole game you see more people in red ranks, its why you get people that have no idea how to run loops and go down fast, you even get people who struggle to hit skillchecks and im to believe these are the highest ranks. personally ruined teached me totem spawns, tiles and made me run loops better as the games lasted longer... one killer perk teach me how to be a strong survivor so that wasnt a bad thing, i mean i learnt to hit greats 95% of the time as well. but yeah i never used it much as killer because some mf would spawn on it unlike every survivor game i played haha

  • i am a sad veteran ngl man, iv been rank 1 for killer and survivor for 2+ years and iv learned to play against every killer or perks used and its saddening to see everyone complaining and wanting everything nerfed. it honestly makes no sense at all, like people nowadays just seem to wanna get in a game, escape and repeat... like umm dont you want the game balanced, fun and lengthy? personally i miss ruin when playing survivor, at least back then red ranks could play and matches was more fun as people learned spawns, counters and how to loop. its also funny how most nerfs are aimed at killers yet you have meta perks like DS and BT which are strong as hell even more so when all 4 people run it. btw we`ll make it gives 100% healing speed for like 90seconds or something compared to that terrible 12% that thana does

  • make it 20% per injured survivor and sure, but by no means is it too powerful. the kiler is required to get everyone inured for the effect to even be noticeable and even at that its 12% which is nothing for the effort it takes and how easy survivors can heal with a medkit or perks. sloppy is way stronger to stop healing and thats basic attacks only so legion cant even run it. just stay at rank 20

    1. killer is only as easy as it is because survivor is even easier to pip, after all i have played way too many games where i can get 10-12hooks and they still have 4 gens left, that should never happen! thats the biggest issue as survivor ranking is too easy.
    2. survivor is easier, all you need to do is hold a button on a gen then hold a different button to run away and that alone will pip you to purple ranks easy.
    3. Unhooking will make survivors pip so very easy, so often survivors dont even know how to loop but will pip due to easy gens and unhooks.

while neither side is hard to play, killer is harder to do just because the actions can be harder and it is 4v1 after all, just because you can get a 4k against red ranks dont mean killer is to easy, this just shows theres a flaw in the ranking system. its no different to 4 escaping against a killer or depiping for escaping against a red rank killer. i would also like to point out a decent team with DS,BT,DH etc. is usually much harder to beat than a decent killer whomever they play

  • getting one safe unhook will pretty much make you black pip btw (just encase that happens). other than that ranking isnt too hard, the only bonus to ranking is slightly faster as the lower ranks are where most people sit due to the easy pipping and honestly if youre new dont focus on pipping. however if you want to pip you need to do gens, get "safe" unhooks and lead on a chase, leading on a chase is what takes most skill within this game and it rewards you for doing so, after all while sneaking isnt a bad thing sneaking doesnt keep the killer busy like a chase does, when a killer is in a chase the other survivors do everything else. i seriously would advice learning how to lead on chases, i see way too many player that hit red ranks but really struggle to lead on chases and this is due to them pipping from unhooks which is the easiest category to get up.

  • Honestly i hate DC`s, i understand if there are issues and stuff but people quitting because they go down etc. just ruin the game, i actually stopped playing because id get so many DC`s each game and people abusing the DC exploit. i play the game to play the game you know, i understand we can all have bad games and stuff but there isnt a need to quit, things can change and you will get better but nothing is more annoying than playing fair even when people run god loops, click flashlights and then DC on their first down... like im not being funny but both sides do what they do to win and i shouldnt have people quit because theyre doing bad. i often run party streamers, i dont slug and i dont tunnel and yet people just DC which just wastes my time and add-on/offerings. Afterall i think the longer games are the better games so people quitting and cutting it short for everyone just ruins multiple peoples fun. the only people that are okay with DC`s are the people that rage quit often or have the worst connection known on earth which im sure most people dont wanna play with anyway as people dont like randomly teleporting making the game unplayable

  • rank 1 survivor and killer on xbox

solo survivor = pretty fast, id say 3mins most

duo survivor = probably 5mins or a bit more

    killer = pretty much instant

you have to remember less people play killer now, ruin allowed alot of casual killers to play but with it gone alot of the newer or less experienced players wasnt enjoying it, so many people play survivor and it also got made easier due to the ruin change which means most people hit ranks 1-5 easily which makes lobby ques much longer the further you stray from ranks 1-5

  • hit it 0.5seconds sooner and it will work, nice meta build though

  • its really not hard to get totems, you say youre tired of hearing it but thats the direct counter and isnt that hard to do, making to endgame anyway should be good enough so seeing NOED shouldnt be an issue, iv personally never seen an issue with NOED as a survivor i just get the totem when its active or all totems before, there is 5 totems and 4 survivors you have time to get them. but if you and so many other think NOED is really over powered even though it only activates after 5gens and can be stopped then i think its fair to balance DS/BT on their own they arent annoying but when everyone runs them and you get hit by DS even after hoking 1-2 other people yeah its an issue im getting punished for being good even after going out my way to hook others first. iv never used NOED and i dont see the point as its not that great against decent teams and like i said its for such a small portion of the game too. gotta be fair to both sides.

  • as of the 28th god loops are being removed, theyre also adjusting gens when multiple people are on them and some maps are being made smaller. killer is very playable as alot of red rank survivors arent as skilled as they use to be due to pipping as survivor being so very easy, the biggest issue atm is a full swf team that know loops and all run meta other than that killer isnt too bad at the update will really benefit killers. neither side is meant to win every game, but killer is okay there are a few things id change but thats my opinion

  • yeah i agree also, its nice to have a licensed map with variation but i end up on this map way to often, i dont mind the map as killer or survivor (i think its survivor sided though) it gets boring seeing the same map so many times and i end up getting it a few times in a row too. there are so many maps and so many good ones but i hardly see them. for example i hardly go to hawkings, its my weakest map as survivor but i miss seeing it, same goes for so many of the others. personally 2 variations should be removed so theres only 3

"i would say not having any fear of a killer is an issue tbh"

No. There is one perk in the game that removes some fear of the killer for a single minute of the match: DS. It was MEANT to be that way. It states it right in the perk description. It literally says: "There's nothing to be scared of." — Laurie Strode. In pretty much any horror movie ever, there is a victim who faces the killer head on and ultimate turns out to be the survivor. This is completely inline with the theme of this game and the DLC that released this perk. And it is a required perk to counter current rampant cheap game play by killers.

    "it's not a 1v1, its a 4v1"

Great point, which is exactly why the killer can easily go for someone else. You don't HAVE to go for the person who is being freshly off hooked, nor do you HAVE to go for the person who was unhooked in the last 60 seconds. That's a choice. And if you make that choice, it only stands to reason that it should be risky. If you waste your own time because you tried to go for the low hanging fruit vs. give them a chance to play the game, thats on you.

This is also an assumption on your part that every single person is carrying both DS and BT. I admit, they are common perks, but I rarely have a match where every single person is carrying both of these perks. And there are killers, items, and offerings that allow the killer to insta-down survivors without having to even waste a perk slot to do it. A mori causes the killer to only do 30% of their job in a match. Tell me again how DS and BT - both mainly responses to poor game play tactics are unbalanced?

DS has never been a 100% anti-tunnel perk, and it shouldn't be. It works exactly as it is supposed to. The fact that you have to hit a survivor one extra time because you couldn't be bothered to flush out someone else in the course of 60 seconds or don't feel like running out the timer is dumb and entitled on the part of killers everywhere who seem to just want survivors to have zero useful perks against them...in addition to zero opportunities to escape chases...or the map in general.

Your last comment makes no sense. I know keenly the gen completion times, but your statement doesn't add up.

That quote is used in the films, in which she is constantly screaming and terrified through them all. she fears him, she doesnt toy with him like survivors do with killers in dbd. obviously the game isnt scary i mean we all run around trash piles or hey its not really scary is it, i just mean in the aspect you as a survivor shouldnt be happy and willing to be downed or grabbed just so you can use DS. its also not the issue of chasing someone else either its the issue of doing that extra chase then hooking that person then being hit by that DS later on even though you have hot other people and hooked them. as a killer wasting time can cost you the match, its not like survivor where if youre skilled you can kinda mess about alot more. the issue is the game expects chases to be short, any good killer will not chase beyond 30seconds, some will stop at 20seconds and its possible to get really short chases but after that chase (lets say 20seconds) that DS can still be active for 40seconds. and like i said most matches are fine im just saying when it is a full meta swf it sucks that the perks strong that they help them so much, like we agree its not common but that does show how strong the two perks are when no other perks have that effect. its not about nerfing anything its about balance, too many people hit red ranks, hell pipping is easy, but when people struggle in chases and hardly do objectives but can still pip through BT saves etc. yes its and issue. its not about not being bothered or cant down other survivors because thats not what people dislike its the fact even after you do all those harder chases of not tunneling you can still be punished for doing well and accidentally running into the person with DS while its still active, you cant just leave them. my changes encourage more skillful play on both ends, survivors cant just use BT for easy pips/saves and DS stop those boring tunnel games or being mori`d off hook but encourages the killer to go out more and rewards them for doing so by deactivating the perk. fair and balanced changes for both sides.

  • Okay so i own every killer and am always rank 1 and this is what ill say so i hope this can help.

Death slinger is easier to both play and learn, what i mean by this is after a game or two youll get the understanding of how to play him and the more you play him the easier and better you shall be. youll learn what angles to shoot, quick scoping will be no issue and you will have fun with him. however do note that your experience as a killer and the overall control of you camera etc. will determine how easily you adjust.

However he is not stronger than huntress, while i personally enjoy playing him and he is all round easier to play he isnt as strong. what this mean is if youre a really good huntress you wont do as well with this killer just because hes not as strong, he is also 110speed which means map pressure can be an issue (the 3.7.0 patch will slightly help) but he can still cut loops etc. short if you have a good aim.

all in all its up to you, i love the look, style and everything of him and im happy to play him at any point but i wouldnt call him a very strong killer compared to the faster moving killers, i personally dont think huntress is all that strong either but like most killers he has good and bad points but certainly an interesting killer

  • DC bans are needed, and sure the odd disconnect can happen in every game. However the DC bans at the start are so very light and fair its something like 1min, 5mins, 15mins and after 24hours your penalty will go down one state, which mean unless youre being disconnected everyday multiple times your ban wont go up, and if its once in a blue moon you get a 1min ban, like wow go get a drink or something but if youre getting that many disconnects like when people say "been banned for 6hours and i dont DC" is clearly a lie.

if youre having connection issues on your end thats up to you to fix it not moan at the game for banning quitters.... or...

    just dont DC

I’m not disputing the fact that they’re strong. If you said “they should be changed because they’re too strong” then I wouldn’t necessarily disagree, but the argument that they take no skill or are free is a bad one because you’re arguing against basically every perk in the game in that case. All perks are free bonuses and very few of them require any skill at all. Should we nerf all perks then?

There aren’t really any perks with downsides except No Mither so that’s not a great argument either. BT and DS are perks which, like almost every perk in the game, give you some in-game effect just for equipping them. If you think the effect is too strong then that’s the argument to be made.

if you read both of my comments you see that i say the two perks need a balance, i dont want them nerf`d because i dont see the point in everyone complaining instead i want to find that middle ground where every side can be happy, but in recap i said there are strong and weak perks, every game has them but because theyre so strong that creates the issues, most other perks need a buff and these need a balance check so for example

DS - Deactivates after youre off the hook and another survivor is DOWNED and HOOKED (hooked an already slugged person wont work). DS now also counters moris, what these changes do is make DS a full anti-tunnel perk. whether the killer has a mori or not he will be punished for tunneling the person off the hook

BT - If in chase BT doesnt activate (this one needs work but atm BT is free altruism, what i mean by this is run the perk and every unhook will be safe and you can just pip to red ranks by simply running that one perk. they some how need not reward the savior for just running straight to the hook even in chase, the point is you should try get safe saves and have BT as a last resort instead of the common "oh i have BT, its a free save" even if theyre right infront of the killer)

  • i havent played the game since just before the servers dropped, seeing this post fills me with joy tbh. i often see so many PC/PS4 players say its terrible but honestly without i got so many bad connection games and the average ping id get was 150ms and some times alot worse, people need to understand servers are never perfect and things can happen. ill be looking forward to playing the new tome on dedicated along side DC bans! honestly so happy

The idea that BT causes people to unhook with no fear is a fallacy. You, as the BT provider, only get it if within the killers terror radius. So not only are you likely to take a hit, you are likely to go down if the killer is truly camping... Which is a lot of the time. DS is intended to have a "no fear" effect. It says it right in the perk description and follows the games horror movie eque theme, imo. It has numerous counters and is only usable one time during a match. In the grand scheme of balance, these are some of the only things providing solo survivors with ANY balance. They work as intended and should stay as they are.

i would say not having any fear of a killer is an issue tbh, but putting that aside you say its a one time use, which yeah sure that is true but its not a 1v1, its a 4v1 which means there can be 4 people running DS, also like i said BT can trigger 6-8 times depending and so that makes up to 12 possible extra escapes/extended chases and thats where the issue lies, like my previous comment said most games its not bad but when everyone runs meta perks its an issue. i think having DS deactivate is a fair balance, this means while the killer chases someone completely new you as a survivor have the choice to heal and play safe or try and push gens and be less fearful. this leaves a choice which means if youre experienced youll make the right decision depending on the situation. im not biased and thats why i say DS should counter moris as well that way its 100% anti tunnel as the killer cant mori you off hook and also cannot wait out DS due to its 60second duration (gens takes about 80 seconds solo btw so waiting out 1 DS could nearly be 3 gens just for 1hook state)
