BT needs no nerf.
First of all if a survivor unhooks another survivor right in front of you GO AFTER THE UNHOOKER. After all they are the one with the BT not the hooked person. If you hate BT it only makes sense to go after the person who has the perk.
Secondly it's not the hooked survivors fault that their teammate is an idiot and wants to unhook them right in front of the you so why punish the person who got unhooked? GO AFTER THE UNHOOKER. They are your problem!!!
Now maybe you are a camping, tunneling toxic killer in which case BT is working exactly as it should.
-
If I use thana I use it with other slow down perks, specifically dying light.
I have three basic builds: slow down gen build, fast chase build ( spirit fury, enduring, and any perk that helps in chases) and the aura reading builds (using perks that help me locate survivors easier). I usually wont mix them together. I do one or the other depending on my mood and killer.

And what about all the perks survivors could be running to just, never be in those bad chases to begin with? Are those crutches too?
With something like spine chill, you could already be at the jungle gym ready to go. Or you were urban evading around a rock, and never got chased at all.
With dead hard, you take the hit and dead hard over to the jungle gym. I guess one appears more obnoxious though.
If you haven't started a chase with someone then you haven't wasted any time. That's the core issue with dead hard. It helps survivors during chases and prolongs them eating up much of the killers time.

Dead Hard is not the biggest issues killers need to deal with. Decisive and Adrenaline are much more game changing, and while DH is very good, it's not oppressive.
Strongly disagree. DS is only really strong in the end game when you've done terrible and have to try and make up for it by camping and tunneling and hooking everybody. Adrenaline is only good in the end game. At this point the killer has already likely lost and is just trying to prevent a 4 man escape.
DH is annoying throughout the entire game and continuously gives survivors second chances in chases. DH is the ultimate survivor crutch perk that allows them to reach pallets that they normally wouldn't have been able to reach and to prolong chases that can easily cost the killer the game.
-
Just use the wedding ring add on bro!
Isn't that the usual response we give when someone mentions an issue like this? Suggest a perk or item to counter it?
-
The only survivor perk that annoys me is dead hard. I just hate it how survivors keep getting second chances during chases everytime they mess up. Borrowed time and ds I dont care about. I dont camp and if someone unhooked a survivor right in front of me I always go after the unhooker. I'm not going to even try to punish the the hooked person for their teammates dumb play. I play solo survivor and I know how annoying that is.
-
Borrowed time is not always going to come in handy. Its a situational perk just like ds or unbreakable and many others. The reason these three are used the most out of all the situational perks is because they come in handy the most. A lot of killers like to camp, a lot like to tunnel and a lot like to slug. But there will also be a lot of games where they wont be used at all. Sometimes I'll go 5+ games in a row where BT was never needed because the killer always left the hook or they used some kind of stealth to counter it.
-
Noed should only grant the exposed effect to those who have been hooked at least once during the trial before the gens are completed. That way the killer has to do something besides being a complete potato to get its full effect.
-
Only issue I could see is with a killer like myers who can stalk at a distance. Essentially he'd be able to get his stalking meter full and not even have the game begin. A survivor would be forced to run up to him and give him a free hit to stop him from stalking while gens are massively slowed down. You might say the game will begin once he stalks but then that would be unfair to myers as now survivors would get a free heads up that he's stalking.
-
You can pretty much tell which killers run noed by how well they play. If a killer barely gets any hooks during the match before all gens are finished 9 times out of 10 they are running NOED. You can argue whether its balanced or not, but it's just a fact that bad killers tend to use it as a crutch for their poor play.
-
There is one very obvious lesbian in this game: the huntress
-
I'm pretty sure people who say the new ruin is better than the old ruin are getting paid by the devs or they are survivor mains pretending to be killer mains. In no way is the new ruin better. Survivors still rush through gens and if it becomes too much of a problem they just look for the hex and cleanse it. A lot of survivors won't even bother looking for the new hex totem because it's weak and doesn't stop them from finishing gens.
The reason old ruin would get cleanse fast in a lot of matches is because it was good, so survivors would instantly start searching for it which bought the killer some time at the beginning of a match. Survivors have no such respect for the new ruin. They will finish 3 gens before they might even begin halfheartedly searching for it.
.
-
Small game isn't viable for that. If you run small game there is a chance you will run up against a trapper, hag, or Freddy. In which case small game will be going off constantly due to the belongings they leave behind in which case it will be pretty useless in determining if there are totems still in the game. And maps are not a common item, you cant use maps in every game unless you've been collecting them for a very long time.
And detectives hunch can only be unlocked through a premium character or the shrine of secrets on the rare occasions its available. I'm not spending five bucks to get a survivor perk solely to counter one crutch killer perk.
And why is it when somebody mentions a problem in the game some body always brings up a perk to counter it. We only have 4 perk slots. It's impossible to counter everything. If I want to counter camping gotta use bt, if I want to counter tunneling gotta use ds, if i want to counter an overpowered spirit gotta use iron will, if i want to counter slugging gotta bring unbreakable...
-
There should be an indicator somewhere on the screen that let's survivors know how many totems remain on the map. The biggest issue I have especially as solo survivor is you don't know how many totems have been cleansed. Noed is suppose to punish survivors for not doing the second objective but how are survivors suppose to know if the objective has already been done? I'm not going to search around the entire map looking for a totem that might not even be there.
-
If devs increased gen time then they would also have to increase the time it takes a survivor to die on the hook as well since fast gen times is the only thing that makes camping and tunneling not a viable option against higher ranks.

Killer: NOED
Survivor: Sprint Burst
I don't know how more people complain about DH rather than SB when SB literally saves the survivor WHEN THEY'RE HEALTHY and DH activates WHEN THEY'RE INJURED.
You get the drop on a survivor? Sprint Burst to safe pallet central. It's stupid
If Sprint Burst is allowed to stay in the game, so can Dead Hard
Because sprint burt only works at the beginning of a chase not in the middle of a chase. At that point the killer hasn't wasted any time and the person using sprint burst hasn't necessarily been out played yet, they just got a head start. The problem with DH is often times the survivor will have been outplayed but rather than go down they get to dead hard to a pallet. Its especially annoying when the killer has already spent good time chasing the survivor.

Madden in the most frustrating game I've ever played. There is even a series on YouTube of all the gamer rage that happens in that game. The dbd community on twitch is super chill compared to the madden one. I dont know of any dbd twitch streamer that gets super enraged by this game.

Let's get rid of all exhaustion perks then lmao.
No. The difference with dead hard and other exhaustion perks is that dead hard is only really helpful when you got outplayed.
-
Dead hard (bails out survivor bad play)
Noed (bails out killers bad play)

Kinda depends on which freddy we are talking about. In original he was serial killer of children even before he became a drean demon but in the remake he was a child molester who only started killing as vengeance after he was burned to death. While being a child molester is definitely sick it's still not on par with murdering children. The original freddy was more evil in my opinion even though the remake was suppose to be the "darker" version.
-
Yes it would work similar to freddy's snares or hags traps.
She would be a normal 4.6 speed killer. However placing down mirrors will take a little time ( five seconds base, can be reduced with addons) this way survivors will get a some notification about when she is going to appear through the spirit world. However if the mirror is already placed she can transport through it instantly by simply walking through it. While in the spirit world she cannot be detected by any survivor perk.
As for her three perks I haven't really thought about it yet.
In a sense she would.be similar to old freddy except her power would be completely optional as you do not have to enter the spirit world. While in the spirit world the killer would move around like normal (although addons to increase base speed while in the spirit world would be a good idea) but she cant hurt anyone until she leaves the spirit world through a mirror. The mind games would be endless as you could place multiple mirrors around loops to travel in and out of the spirit world and suprise survivors.

Teabagging at the exit gates should be reserved only for killers that play trashy (hard tunneling, facecamping or using an ebony mori.)
By hard tunneling I dont mean downing the same survivor twice, there are scenarios where that will happen and the killer isn't necessary trying to go after the same survivor. By hard tunneling I mean completely ignoring every other survivor just to make one survivors experience miserable. Those killers deserve a good tea bagging.

Just because Kate’s outfit shows a lot of skin doesn’t mean she’s a hooker. She GETS hooked if anything.
Grim Matsuri cosmetics hardly fit anyone, I doubt they have any relevance to character lore: or nothing of importance.
That makes a good dbd joke.
What did the ghostface say about Kate's new outfit? She's a hook her.
But I like the new outfit though. Only one of Kate's I dont like is the big yellow dress that makes her look like a chicken.

Rancor's fun. Chasing 1 person the whole match and then mori'ing them often has amusing results in chat.
I love when I run rancor and as I down the obsession the last gen goes off. Happened today when I was playing nurse ( I'm not good with nurse so I use a lot of end game perks.) I downed the obsession, I picked her up to take her to a hook and then the last gen popped so I dropped her and mori'd her. I bet she was cussing out her teammates after that lol.
-
Most toxic leatherface.
Least toxic would probably be nurse.
I'm basing toxicity on camping.
Very common for a leatherface to camp.
Very rare to come across a nurse that camps. Although she may slug that at least takes skill on behalf of the person playing nurse.
-
The game is hardest for the killer in the beginning and gets easier near the end. The more gens that get finished the harder the game gets for the survivor since there are less gens the killer has to patrol. The point is that you don't want to give up too early. I've been in multiple games where survivors pop 2-3 gens before I get my first down and still end with 4k.
-
I only use late game perks if im playing as a killer I'm not confident with and haven't played with that much. When I'm playing my main I dont use any end game perks because I usually do well enough that I dont need them.

We get it.. "just do gens" is a terrible response. Some people don't have the ability to communicate that as we all don't play the easy way of swf.
That means we need to rely on what we see and hear in game and if you can't tell he's camping until you run across the map to check on the hook (and that goes for every other survivor. Because, AGAIN, we all don't play swf). This means a whole lot of time is wasted not being able to do gens because we rely on each other as a team.
Please stop thinking "just do gens" is a reasonable response to this camping with one hit downs issue..
You dont need to be able to communicate with other survivors to know if a killer is camping. If you are doing gens and the killer never comes to you and you dont see anyone else getting injured, he's most likely camping. With leatherface it is especially important to just do gens when someone gets hooked because a lot of people like to meme him.
There are perks that can help you find out if a killer is camping. Bond, empathy, kindred and even spinechill to some degree. ( if spinechill never goes off within 30 seconds after a hook, it's a good indicactor that the killer is not roaming the map.)
-
Killer: hey I really suck at this game can you team up with me so I can hook some survivors and I'll spare you?
Survivor: yeah I'm trash at this game too so I'm down with it.
If a survivor tries to help me I make sure I kill them first. In one match a survivor was pointing to a locker a survivor went into. So I tunneled the guy that pointed and made sure I got him out of the game quickly. I dont need your help man.
-
Sweaty = playing better than me
-
Survivor skill is mainly about how long they can keep a killer in a chase and killer skill is how quickly they can end a chase.
That's the bulk of it anyway. If a survivor keeps the killer in a chase for a good minute then the killer is obviously being outplayed. If the killer downs the survivor within 10 seconds then the survivor obviously got outplayed.

Nurse lmao. I’m only good at her because I enjoy mastering blinks and the challenges that come with them.
Yeah I tried learning nurse but it got too frustrating for me. Same with huntress. I still play with them here and there when I'm not trying to win.

Huntress is a female.
Well in his defense she is kinda manly.
-
Poor nurse. I bet she's crying under her veil right now because nobody mentioned her.
Kate is the hottest though. The new girl is kinda hot but I just can't be into a woman who wears baggy pants. I just can't.
-
Its really easy.
Survivor: escape = win
As killer you can win and lose in the same game. The survivors who escape you lost to. The survivors who you kill you win to. As killer you are playing against four people. The killer is like the dealer in Black Jack. You might beat everyone, you might lose to everyone, or maybe only one person will beat your hand.

Thanks! If I had both perks would they stack?
Yes. For now anyway. Until the devs nerf it.
-
I would say dying light because the penalty does not go away until you kill the obsession and you can get more stacks on it. It's just harder to do I guess because you have to actually hook the survivors instead of just injuring them. But with thanatophobia you still have to put a lot of pressure on survivors otherwise they just heal and the penalty goes away.
But it depends a lot of the killer. Thana definitely works better with legion and the plague. Any other killer and I would use dying light personally.
-
I use ghostface with nurse's calling and trust me it helps the killer A LOT. As long as you have night shroud active whenever possible survivors will be giving their location to you left and right. If they nerfed self care I would be sad as killer.
-
I play solo survivor a lot. I use bond. I've never been in a game where a survivor refused to heal me. Most survivors want to heal you because it gives them bloodpoints. Unless all the survivors are dead, on a hook, or in chase its just as reliable and faster than using self care.
Although there are some occasions where a survivor will mess up an easy skill check, give away your location and get you downed again, it doesn't happen enough to make me start using self care.
-
The only time self-care is useful is when one survivor is on the hook, you are injured and there are no other survivors to heal you. There are moments especially during the end game when I wish I had self care but it's so situational I never use it.
-
What's even crazier is that only one survivor had a toolbox. Imagine if they all four had one.
-
Everyone is playing survivor on ps4. Play killer and you'll get an instant lobby.
-
"Survivormain1105"
Obvious troll is obvious.
-
The only thing I seen from the second video is that you played a bad killer. How is he going to play bubba and not even attempt to use the chainsaw? That's his only power! That's like playing freddy and not using snares or teleportation. There was literally no point of him playing bubba. If he's bad with the chainsaw use a different killer!
I mean I could post videos of me getting 4k with no gens done against potato survivors. But what would that prove?
-
Anybody but clown. Getting 4k with clown is hard even for experienced players. He has no strong advantage and has nothing in his arsenal to create pressure and he has no stealth.
-
Are you crazy? Lerys is one of the best maps for killers unless you are huntress. Huntress is the only killer that strongly benefits from open world maps and that's if you're good with her. Billy gets hindered some because he can't sprint across the map, but either way it's still a very killer sided map. Old lerys had one of the highest kill rates and I'm sure this lerys is no different because they really didn't change much except make it look better.
There aren't really that many safe pallets and the few there are you just break them. Sometimes I'll come across a killer who let's me run him around the same pallet for a good minute when all they had to do is break the pallet. That's not lerys being strong that's just killers playing badly.
-
Borrowed time is fine as it is. After you hook someone do a quick surveillance around the hook to make sure there isn't a survivor nearby ( this isn't the same as camping) that way if there is someone about to rush the hook you can hit them before they have a chance.
-
@Sylorknag said:
I also got the same vibe from this Q&A.
They literally told killers to GiD GuD at the end.
"There plenty of good killers out there streaming, go watch them, you might learn something"
Pretty funny coming the same team that nerfed a perk cause potatoes can't Git Good at pressing a button.
Funny thing is every twitch player I watch thinks the ruin nerf was stupid. I have not come across one that thinks it was a good idea.
So yeah devs, these good killers you tell me to watch all think your ruin nerf sucks.
-
Nefing something based on its popularity is not a good way to make your player base happy. "hey this is hugely popular. Looks like our player base really enjoys this. Let's nerf it!"
