  • The only time I used left behind is for the dumb hatch challenge. I wouldn't play selfish and hide until everyone was dead but rather I would just do gens like normal and then when all survivors either escape or die go for the hatch.

Unfortunately many survivors like to sit at the exit gates and wait until the last possible moment to leave or killers slug which is why it is a perk I would never use otherwise.

I would say no. Nurse, Spirit, and Freddy are stronger than him IMO.

Gotta stop with this Freddy nonsense. No way is Freddy better than doctor. Freddys snares are easyily avoidable. While freddy can stop a loop from being done twice, doctor can shut it down the first time. And if the survivor isn't asleep then Freddy has nothing to help him quickly end the chase. While Freddy has the teleportation, it can only be done after a long cooldown and you have to know which gen survivors are at for it to really be useful which requires information perks like bbq or discordance.

At most one could argue they are on the same par but to say Freddy is better than doctor... I dont see it.

rushing hooks has always been dumb, even with WGLF, its a multiplier, if you rush hooks 2 x 0 is still 0.

Most people use bt and rush hooks to farm with it. If WGLF was base kit this would be encouraged even more.

That one streamer, Umbra? I don't remember she's a Huntress main. I like watching her stream. She has crazy rapid eye movements. Usually the map ruins the game for her. I like hearing her explain things also. And I'm going to be honest she is the Shroud of dbd. Don't really see survivor side winning unless it's bad maps or unbalanced survivor mechanics. She is awesome.

Umbra is probably the best killer main. She is definitely better than tru and otz. 9 times out of 10 she gets 4k even when she's not playing huntress.

Show me that you re decent at the game and i wont play selfish.

Even if my teammates aren't good I will still take chases for them, not hide in lockers all game letting them get death hook because they actually had the balls to do gens.

  • @Reinami said:

Having these in play all the time would also encourage good play. Survivors would be more likely to be altruistic and help each other, rather than just let their teammates die. Killers would be more likely to go after a different person then the one that was just unhooked to get another stack, etc. It promotes fun gameplay on both sides.

One of the worst things survivors can do is hush hooks and that is what this would encourage. While you dont want survivors to let the hooked survivor die or get into second phase, you generally do want to let them wait a little bit before going to the hook though.

  • I wonder if they will had a range requirement for irediscent heads.

  • Until devs do something about gen times or find a way to give survivors another objective I say moris are exactly where they should be.

Problem with the game right now is that survivors dont have to play well to win. They just have to go to gens and hold down a button. They can fail at looping and fail at avoiding the killer as long as the other survivors are doing gens. It's too easy for survivor right now.

Killers bring a mori into the game and suddenly survivors have to play good. Suddenly survivors have to prove they deserve to be in red ranks because as we all know majority of them dont.

  • Camping is the worst way to deal with fast gen speeds. If the killer is camping then they cant really complain about gen going too fast because obviously they are doing nothing to get survivors off gens. It really makes no sense to camp with any killer but leatherface. At least with leatherface you might be able to snowball the game by camping since you can down multiple survivors at once.

  • The more killers that get added to the game the more rare it becomes to see any killer on any given day. I could go days without seeing a certain killers and then one day face them multiple times.

  • Survivors are use to easy games that's why they dont like moris because it actually forces them to play good.

I understand if it's an overpowered killer with the most broken addons (iridescent huntress with an ebony mori is bs, I agree.) But if it's a wraith or a clown with an ebony mori then so what? That's still a winnable game.

  • Moris are fair so are keys.

Keys can only be used once the hatch has spawned and in solos actually causes survivors to abandon their objective usually to the benefit of the killer.

Moris are fair because gen speeds go to fast. Moris force survivors to actually play good (win chases against the killer) and not just rush gens.

  • Umbra is probably one of the best killer mains in the game. She gets 4k with lots of killers, not just huntress.

  • Why doesn't every perk have a cooldown?

Most of my red rank games end in around 5 minutes minimum and I play solo, it's not as rare as it seems gen speeds are just atrociously fast nowadays, why do you continue to deny this? Why do you think the survivors in the video are ok to see, because in the end "the killer got a 3k stop complaining" how is that ok to you? This swf was particularly greedy and sub optimal, now imagine this with an actually skilled SWF, they typically don't go back to save their friend and just leave so they don't get hooked.

They ignore the fact that tru only got 3k because the survivors played unnessarily altrustically at the end. They could have easily 3 man escaped. The fact that survivors played stupid in the end game and made the game go longer is irrlevant to the issue brought up here. It goes more to the point that these survivors weren't even good. You dont have to play well as survivor to escape even against a good killer. You just do your objective and get out.

  • @Seanzu said:

Can we see the videos of this happening consistently?

We've all seen videos of killers decimating in minutes, but it isn't proof that they need nerfing.

You dont get it. The problem here is that playing survivor takes no skill, no sweat. You just have to do gens. Being able to loop well is not even necessary. As long as survivors do gens it makes it very hard for the killer to win, near impossible for slower m1 killers. You literally dont even have time to hook people because the gens go so fast.

As I said before right now ebony moris actually put the game more where it should be. If a killer brings an ebony than survivors actually have to play good to win. Play good as in win chases.

  • How would they work together? Retribution only works with other hexes. It's good for an all hex build. You could use retribution simply for the oblivious effect on dull totems although that seems kinda weak.

  • His potential is much higher than old Freddy. If you get really good at fast sniping he can be a very solid killer. He is still new right now so not a lot of people are going to be that great with him. Survivors shouldn't be too impressed with their skills against him right now since many people are playing him for the first time. They are playing baby deathslingers.

  • Deathslinger is much easier to use. Getting hits with deathslinger is easy even for beginners whereas with huntress it takes much more practice.

  • Seems killers who start out bad often become some of the stronger killers in the game because they get buffs instead of nerfs.

  • I'm pretty sure the psychos all play survivor.

  • They should have kept it as it was. Sure you had survivors 99 hooks but at least that took time. If they were doing that then they weren't doing gens. Now they dont have to waste any time. If they just happen to be close to the down survivor they can sabo. This is going to make slugging and perks like infectious fright even more necessary.

  • This is one reason I dont give hatches anymore. It's really unfair to the other survivors.

I usually give the last survivor a chance to find it but I wont give it to them for free.

  • I haven't played a freddy in a couple days. Must be your luck.

  • Meat plant is a good map for killers. Spine chill is going off all the time because the top and bottom floor. It's hard to know as survivor when the killer is actually coming for you. Survivors get scared off gens really easily on that map since killer radius seems to be everywhere.

Honestly I think this is the first time I've seen a killer complain about the meat plant.

  • Against plague you want to cleanse. Survivors who say otherwise are full of it or they dont know how to dodge her corrupt purge (which isn't hard to do by the way.) Before plague pukes all you have to do is duck behind cover. Dont get caught out in the open. Plague is easily one of the weakest killers in the game it's just that many survivors still haven't learned how to play against her yet.

  • Well at least you're honest about being a rage quitter unlike most people on here who whine about the dc penalties.

  • Freddy is perhaps the most overrated killer in the game.

Freddy is not that good. There is a reason why the only build you see with Freddy is the slow down build because he sucks and the only chance you have with him is to slow the game down to such a crawl that you might have a chance. He is extremely addon and perk dependent.

You can 4k way more easily with a base doctor, ghost face or myers than you can with a base Freddy.

  • Lol why do maps have to go? You know maps have an add on that allows all survivors to see the aura of the map. So maps dont really give swfs an advantage that you cant get with solo. Maps are not that strong anyway. They are good for totem hunting and finding the hatch but that's it.

And survivors finishing gens in front of the killer is not done to " disrespect" the killer like tea bagging is. It's normal for survivors to commit to a gen and accept a hit if it's close to being finished. Why would I run away from a gen that has only a second left and risk it being popped goes the weasel'd and then regressing to a point it never gets done?

  • If you are playing smart and not all in the same area then infectious fright doesn't come in handy that much. Generally you want to be separated and working on different gens at once.

Honestly the only people who I think would want it nerfed are swf flashlight/sabo squads. And frankly those are the last people who should be listened to.

  • It's called cheating.

    @Yung_Slug said:

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/1141466#Comment_1141466

Not really, since the Killer is supposed to (and is encouraged to) kill. Heists are generally frowned upon in the mortal world.

It's called cheating. And yes cheaters are frowned upon. While not typically illegal it can be if done for money. In which case it would be a form of fraud.

  • Keys actually help killers more than they realize. People with keys tend to hide all game and then they stop doing gens altogether when the hatch spawns and spend the rest of the match looking for it even when the game is still in reach. In most cases a key acts as a distraction and hurts the team overall especially in solo matches. In swf matches where everyone is communicating it's more of an issue for killer. But in solo keys suck and as a solo survivor I avoid lobbies where someone brings one.

  • They wait a while to put new killer/survivor perks in the shrine for obvious business reason. The only thing that gives people incentive to buy new survivors other than liking how they look is the perks they have.

  • Most perks the killer uses incentives the killer to NOT tunnel the obession. Dying light, play with your food, save the best for last. Rancor only makes the killer target the obsession in the end game. So being the obsession actually protects you in many cases.

  • If survivors bring a bunch of toolbox then the only way for the killer to even the playing field is to bring a mori. Survivors bring stuff to make gens go faster, killer needs to bring stuff to make kills go faster.

1 or 2 survivors with toolbox. Bring an ivory.

3 or 4 survivors with toolbox. Bring an ebony.

That makes the match fair. Otherwise the killer is at a disadvantage since gens already go fast enough without tool boxes.

  • Favorite:

    Nurse

    Demogorgon

    Wraith

    Least favorite:

    Leatherface (aka sir campalot)

Tombstone Myers (depips and 5k bps for everyone! Yay!)

Irediscent Head Huntress With an Ebony Mori (I've been seeing a lot of these lately and it's so dumb. Huntress is annoying killer to play against to begin with since her hit boxes are so broken.)

Use to be I hated going against spirit but since they got rid of collision during her phase she's been much more tolerable.

  • When facing the doctor.

    1. Make sure you split up and dont all hang around the same gen.

    2. Dont camp pallets. Throw them down early if being chased when nessary.

    3. Use lockers to avoid being found if killer is nearby but doesn't know you are there yet.

  • @SirCracken said:

You do realize you are asking for one of the worst killers in the game to be nerfed?

Leatherface is the worst killer when it comes to chases and map pressure but there is one thing he does excell at and that's camping. When a leatherface camps there is literally no "winning" for survivors. If they try to save they all get downed in which case they all get sacrificed and depip. If they just do gens and leave they still depip and get few bp. This is why leatherface is such an annoying killer for survivors. Not that he's strong but that his power is only good for camping and that's what most people use him for.

His power should be reworked. Not nerfed necessarily, but changed completely like Freddy was.

  • In my opinion head on is much more of a toxic perk. For one ds can only be done once per game. Head on can be done multiple times a game. And when someone has head on and you see them jump into a locker, if you cant get there in the short amount of time it takes for head on to activate then there is nothing you can do except (1) take the stun or (2) wait until the crows show up.

I just dont understand why taking ds stuns from a locker is complained about so much on here since with head on (a popular perk among red ranks) you'll be taking stuns from lockers all game.

  • Nurse is the most fun killer to go against. Normal looping doesn't work instead you have to try and juke her blinks which is fun as hell imo. While a good nurse can be extremely difficult it's still fun and I have a lot of respect for people that can play her well. Takes skill and nurse mains tend to be the least toxic.

Least fun killer to go against is leatherface simply because 90% of the people who play him are boring campers where either every survivor goes down trying to save or we just do gens while a survivor is on hook and leave. Either way everyone depips and dont get many bps.

Least fun killer perk to go against is noed. I dont really have a most fun perk because none of the perks are really fun. It's really just a matter of helping the killer.

I'm not going to bother to do a whole tier list, everything else is just in between.

  • Survivors who allow their teammates to get the death hook before they've even had their first hook are bigger garbage. I know sometimes the killer will hard tunnel a survivor and ignore any survivor who tries to get in the way, but more often than not the survivor is just hiding the entire game and that's why they dont get hooked. It's not black and white issue, sometimes it is better to pass the killer on to another survivor. It all depends on who can afford the hook more.

  • Bubba is guilty until proven innocent. In other words, assume he 's camping until he proves otherwise.

  • When you lose a match you want to feel like you could have won but just got outplayed. When playing killer often times it doesn't feel like that. There are games where it honestly feels like it was impossible to win. When survivors are dedicated to gens and dont hurry hooks you can end chases in less than 10 seconds and still lose, especially when playing a killer who doesn't have the mobility to get on gens quickly.

  • I hate it when they leave me on hook and I see they are doing gens and I figure they are close to finishing it or something. But nope, I get into second phase and gen is still not done then they leave the gen, still not finished, to come save me. Nope. If you are going to dedicate that hard to a gen you better finish it or I'm out of here.

  • @Seegson said:

First of all, i wasn't me who mentioned doing gens.

Secondly, it's the most efficient way to play, better finish all gens before survivors were hooked twice. Even if killer has noed it's easier to find one lit totem than 5 dull.

That's not it. Killers even do memes that highlight and make fun of how dumb survivors are when it comes to gen rushing. I'm sure you've seen or experienced it. Killers will go afk the entire match, giving survivors all the time in the world to clean totems and after the last gen is done they kill start hunting the survivors and 9 times out of 10 the killer still has noed. Truth is survivors just cant help themselves. Even when there is absolutely no reason in the world to rush gens they still do it. It's like programmed into them. They faced one too many face camping bubbas or something.

What's the point bringing up noed if you have created discussion about BPS? If you want to ask about noed just create another thread dedicated solely for noed discussion

Because you made a point about rushing gens against poor killers in order to "not feed their kills" when often times it does just that. If no one on your team is in danger of the death hook then it makes no sense to rush the final gen, especially if you want to "not feed the killer." Nothing feeds the killer more than NOED.

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/1125604#Comment_1125604

But there you go. You aren't being nice, why should we? It's the killers job to stop us from doing gens.

It's been my experience that hardly anyone does totems and they just rely on math. They think they only have a 25% chance of being the unlucky survivor who goes down, NOED. The rest leave and don't feel guilty. There's NOED, after all. I personally have always run Small Game and done totems because I know my teammates are usually too selfish to help me, and I think NOED rewards bad killers. Can't tell you how many times I've died in a game after doing four totems and being touched once the entire game. It happened the last time I played, in fact.

It's not about survivors being nice. That's not what I was asking. I was asking why do survivors refuse blood points by dcing or rushing gens when someone brings a bps? There I made it simple.

  • @Mat_Sella said:

from personal experience, killers who bring BPS tend to want to stomp as quickly as possible as it doesnt matter how fast their job gets done. if they get kills, they'll get a ton of bloodpoints regardless

I do what i normally do and if the killer performs poorly that is on them. I'm not going to risk my life just to give someone i don't know that is trying to kill me some points to feed their ability to kill other people.

But if you are doing gens too quickly when the killer is doing poorly then you are potentially feeding their ability to kill other people because there is a good chance they have NOED.

  • @Cardgrey said:

@Archimedes5000 @steve0333 so say you hit ds what does it do to stop the real tunneling and not the fake tunneling.

Getting chased off hook isn't the killers fault as they can't unhook you but choosing to Target only you after you have used ds on them is real tunneling as it's a choice they make.

And yes being slugged counts I've been picked up from a slug who knows how many times.

My idea for ds is based on preventing a survivor from being downed right off hook before they even have a chance to really do anything. That is the problem a lot of survivors have and that's what I think needs to be countered. If the killer is tunneling someone who loops them the entire game then what would they need ds for? That type of tunneling is already a huge detriment to the killer.

While BT does to an extent already counter this, the problem with BT in solo games is that you have to rely on other survivors to have it, it's nothing you yourself can control. Also if the killer is stealth or Freddy then BT is easily countered.
