  • i don't think coal tower is that small imo i do agree with dead dawg. Dead dawg is probably the most killer sided map in the game

  • wait for rank reset if you're iri. the system they use for adept works off of the grade system, so it's much much easier to do if you're a low grade.

  • would be pretty neat to get a time capsule event. Tho new dbd is waaay less BS than old dbd, nostalgia is a hell of a drug.

What patch would you guys pick if you were in charge of making a time capsule event for dbd.

So you just assumed OP used an exploit, and decided to moral high ground them?

I figured they just did a 90 degree turn to hit someone around a corner.

Literally said he flicked in the post.

  • I'm not thinking of jflick. Turning 180 with demondash is the "oni flick", Bhvr tried to put in a turning hard cap for turning on oni but players found a way to get around it, aka exploiting.

Also DH is a parry. Parrying is as easy or hard as the other player makes it to be. If you're finding that you get DH'd all the time i got some bad news.

  • i think basekit blight is fine. Exploits and broken addons are the issue.

Nowhere did he say he was abusing an exploit, but Survivors always need to invent moral high ground, I guess. 😂

oni flick is literally an exploit bhvr tried and failed to fix.

  • If you're exploit abusing then you deserve the DH.

I haven't heard of Jiiggs dinner before so I had to look it up. It sounds like the corned beef meal I eat on Saint Patty's day. Do you eat that too? Is it basically the same flavor as Jiggs dinner?

never tried corned beef or even seen it irl, so i also had to give it a google and yea it seems to be pretty much the same thing lmao. So i love to try corned beef. What do you like to put on it? i love using the juice from pickled beets as a replacement for vinegar

Which is why I typed "the gap between 27sec to 120sec"

Certainly there are times that only 1 survivor affected by Incap:

    • Either the 1st survivor is going to unhook and heal the 2nd survivor, while you just down the 3rd survivor, which the 4th one cant do Gen.
    • Or 2 survivors already dead, the down on the 3rd survivor, cause the 4th one cant do Gen.

I mean, if survivors are not doing Gen to be affected by Incap, you win. If survivors are doing Gen and affected by Incap, you win.

    Oh, you're right. I can't read lol.

  • What do you mean by "anti-loop" Like what counts as that for you? I think stuff like artist/knight are extremely boring but i would call those type of killer powers more loop denial than anti-loop.

    1. A Gen lost 9sec instantly on down.
    2. 25sec incap which 25sec Gen can not be progressed.
    3. 6sec of Gen regressing when survivor can not touch them for 25sec.
    • The total is 40sec per Gen.

    Multiply by 3 survivors.

Thanks for the answer but i think it's a little unrealistic to say that all 3 survivors are hit by eruption each time. I hate the perk but that seems kinda unfair.

Incap should go, completely. A perk should not have a gaps between 27sec to 120sec of Gen lost, where the 120sec applies to the weakest role.

Gens blocked for 15sec on down, thats it, that will equally affect both Solo & Swf.

Can you example how you got those numbers?

Oh, the match I was watching was with Oni. Community Cup rules force you to play Killers other than Nurse or Blight. He ate a Dead Hard with both his M2 and M1. Honestly, if the Survivors weren't forced to bring unique perks (Meaning, only one Dead Hard per team), the finals could have gone quite differently.

If those were SBs against oni he wouldn't have gotten his power in the first place. SB is simply the better perk against m1 killers. DH is better against killers with predictable but strong powers.

  • Kinda funny how people many completely missed the point of what OP wants. They don't want basekit UB, they just want to not have 4 minutes of their time wasted because someone wants an end screen to have one more skull on it. Like, you won already. Respect peoples time please.

inb4 "B-but the clicky nea teabagged me at the exit gate last match and wouldn't leave until i push them out!1!!" Be the change you wanna see, not the problem.

I've seen tournament-level Killers get Dead Harded multiple times by a single survivor using the perk. Are you going to call them "brainless"?

comp players play the best killers and the best killers (nurse/blight) are easy to DH. I'm pretty ok with survivors having a 3rd health state vs said killers tho lmao

  • Game needs one hard personal anti tunnel perk. DS got gutted so now we have OTR

  • it's just a really nice perk in soloq since it lets you know what pallets your team dropped without having to find out at a very unfortunate time.

I hope this doesnt come off the wrong way, but since you do have your Twitch in your name, I decided it would at least be a good idea to watch your most recent VOD.

    • First Match: Legion - 2K (Tie) - 15 minute match - claims the opposing side is cheating because they did Gallows Generator too fast, but you never really defended the Generator since you were distracted on defending another Generator.
    • Second Match: Ghostface - 0K (Lose) - 17 minute match - claims the Ada is cheating because you failed to count out BT... I literally dont know what to tell you other than pay attention to their movement spend since Haste can indicate when the BT ends.
    • Third Match: Nemesis - 3K (Win) - 14 minute match - claims the Rebecca is cheating because they got hatch when you couldnt see them, but they had Sprint Burst so they could have left the area when you were checking lockers at Shack.
    • Fourth Match: Nemesis - 0K (Lose) - 6 minute match - claims the opposing side is cheating because they did a Generator near a zombie (ignoring the fact that Nemesis's zombie AI is horrible), and also because they did another Generator (which was nowhere near a zombie but you claimed that it was)
    • Fifth Match: Survivor so we are ignoring for the time being since the focus of this is on Killer.
    • Sixth Match: Survivor so we are ignoring for the time being since the focus of this is on Killer.
    • Seventh Match: Deathslinger - 3K (Win) - 19 minute match - complains about Rebecca getting the hatch saying that Survivors need a nerf?
    • Eight Match: Sadako - 4K (Win) - 20 minute match - makes a lot of mistakes and wins but constantly complains that it is the Vittorio's fault, BMs them on hook and talks ---- about them for a majority of the match.
    • This means of all the matches played in your last VOD: You Won 3 | You Lost 2 | You Tied 1

Simply put. Why am I even posting all of this to begin with? You are a TTV, you have the options to sit here and look back the VODs you post, and instead of complaining on the forums despite winning most of your matches or accusing people of cheating and reporting them for literally no reason, you can look back at the VODs and learn and grow as a player.

I use to be in the same mindset that everything else is the problem a year ago, but Ive come to learn that it was me that was causing me to lose half the time; it takes steps to leave that mindset of "everyone or everything else is the problem". Everyone makes mistakes man, just try to learn from them. <3

And killers giving hatch kind of also skews the data a little bit.

in matches where survivors get hatch the match is counted as if that survivor didn't exist.

-"Killers get a lot more value than "NOTHING" from hooks and not just kills. A hooked survivor is not doing gens and neither is the rescuer. Survivors "waste" a lot of time rescuing and healing teammates."

You might have had a point before the meta became strong medkits and strong healing perks. Maybe boons should have a timed duration when placed (60 seconds).

You're missing the pressure difference. If I have a 3 gen and I play knight or say Nemesis - how are you breaking my three gen? If one person is hooked who stays on the gen if I chase one player? With one person dead the gens are always at -25% repair speed relative to having 4 people alive. With one person dead any hooked or slugged player makes the gen speed go down to -50% potential. Compare that to : they were on a hook for 20 seconds and someone healed them in under 10 seconds with a perk.

Now imagine a scenario where being hooked reduces your healing/totem/repair speed, and door opening speed by 25% for the rest of the game. That would be worth not tunneling if every killer could get fast downs like Nurse/Blight.

    https://forums.bhvr.com/dead-by-daylight/discussion/comment/3301899#Comment_3301899

What happens on RPD if I have 2 gens in the main room and 1 gen on a side room about 8m away? What happens if I camp the hook in the middle room? No gens get done and that survivor will die if you do nothing. Most of the time this is the only time killer is in a power role : a hooked survivor is in the middle of their three gen setup.

You get to camp and defend the gens at the same time. That is the only way for most killers to pressure 4 players at the same time.

-"Gens are flying in your games because you're tunneling, so you're letting 3 survivors afk on gens for at the bare minimum of 2 minutes if you magically insta down and hook 1 survivor over and over again. "

Gens fly because the survivor objective requires zero skill. If you are not mentally challenged then the task is a complete joke. The gens will fly regardless of what you do. Two players on a gen with prove will finish that gen in 45 seconds. The bare minimum for a chase is about 20 seconds per hit. That allows you to set a pace that is impossible for the killer to match.

Chases are too long relative to generator completion times (except in the case of very bad players). There are too many pallets and too many vaults after a certain level of skill. We can go look at truetalent's recent games where he tunnels two people out with 6 hooks. Bad loopers who gen rush can often win the game because all you have to do is repair faster than he can down without making too many mistakes. Perks that speed up healing and gen repair massively cripple the killer.

The difference in map sizes also matters tremendously. Imagine playing on coal tower and you chase someone only to find someone on the next tile over. Now you are chasing two people for the price of one. That is why small maps are fair and large maps are not.

The reality is that gens fly because I'm not playing Nurse and getting a hit every second or third blink.

"What happens on RPD if I have 2 gens in the main room and 1 gen on a side room about 8m away? What happens if I camp the hook in the middle room? Yes, gens don't require skill to do that's not the point of them. Never has been never will be. Skill from the survivor comes from learning how to minimize how much pressure the killer is able to apply. If survivors are getting huge prove thyself value in a match you are playing poorly. Trying to get value of prove thyself early in the match is a bad macro play from the survivors and will set yourself to fail.

Tru3 is extremely whiny, he's always been. He whined playing for honor, he whined about injustice 2, and he is still whining playing dbd 5 years later. So i honestly don't really care that your example of proof for you point is that he lost a few matches.

i was actually petty enough that i went and counted his W/Ls on his last stream. 12 4ks, 3 games with all 5 gens done. Worse match for him was a 1k on cowshed as ghostface. That's like a +80%~ winrate.

"The difference in map sizes also matters tremendously. Imagine playing on coal tower and you chase someone only to find someone on the next tile over. Now you are chasing two people for the price of one. That is why small maps are fair and large maps are not."

Your best point. I 100% agree with every said here.

I’ve seen a lot of people saying that Plaything/Pentimento is a good combo but you can hard counter it by blessing the Plaything totem and not giving the killer an opportunity to even get Pentimento value :/

I barely run into hex totems but I’ve been blessing every single one I see for the achievement and no killer ever gets Pentimento value because I just bless the totem.

That's still massive value lmao. If you're wasting 30 second booning a plaything totem out of fear of pentimento i would call that a win.

  • they're kinda bad design to begin with imo, so im not too sad that they're bad. It's pretty hard to balance something that can be destroyed within 30 seconds of a match starting while not making the perk insanely op in a way where it's fun for both sides

  • they have always been pretty touch and go when trying to drop them on slopes or stairs.

  • "Brutal Strength: Break Pallets, Walls and Generators 20/25/30% faster

Enduring: Reduce Pallet Stun Duration by 40/45/50%, being pallet stunned while holding a survivor no longer causes you to drop the survivor

Bamboozle: Increases vaulting speed by 5/10/15% and blocks that window for 6/8/10 seconds (one window at a time limit removed)"

Brutal is actually like as fast as killers should ever be able to break pallets. The perk is pretty good imo.

Please don't turn enduring into a lightborn tier perk. it's fine as it is, it can force survivors to stay at unsafe loops even if you stun them.

Bamsnoozle should be outright removed from the game. i would outright rather play against eruption than this perk. so boring.

Other than these 3 and pain res nerf, i think the other changes are good

  • It's not "bullying" they're trying to interact with the killer, so they bring the tools to interact with the killer. They don't play that way because they hate the killer player, they want to interact with the killer as much as they can.

  • imma be real PE is a borderline survivor sandbag perk in normal play. It'll only ever get value in your average normal match if the killer is like actually just trying to waste everyone's time by camping a 3 gen the second the game starts. even then you won't be able to get real value with it if your teammates just do every other gen and prevent you from using PE. Even if all of the former happens you then can get caught by the killer on your way to the gen and immediately lose 30% gen progress with one hit.

Maybe in like actually comp dbd it's good but it's actively a worse than an empty perk slot in the hands of 95% players in 95% of match making games.

  • i always loved the "gens need to be slower so i don't have to tunnel" slowing down gens will straight up make tunneling(which smart tunneling is already the best killer strat in the game) even better, since the risk of hard tunneling is that you leave the other 3 survivors free to do gens.

Gens are flying in your games because you're tunneling, so you're letting 3 survivors afk on gens for at the bare minimum of 2 minutes if you magically insta down and hook 1 survivor over and over again.

back in the day u had infinite loops...these days infinite regression. Seeing killers go on relentless 3 gen patrol from the start of the match with COB really make u wanna hang it up. Now i kinda understand why killers was losing their $hit over the old circle of healing. Watching all your progression or pressure u build up disappear cause of one perk. Than they got the nerve to be cocky in the end game chat as if they was skillful.

    Great strawmaning lol

Are you aware that more than one thing can be problematic at one time, right?

  • yea this 3 gen camping meta is such an a painful slog I haven't played survivor personally since the knight came out and that prolly won't change for me personally.

  • extremely safe play. It's just super boring when survivors pre run 2-3 business weeks before i get to the gen and then comp drop.

  • I give hatch a lot but i don't really have a rhyme or reason for it personally, like i pretty often give survivors who BM a lot hatch i just don't really care.

  • @Tsela said:

well it had a reason for being too popular, don't you think?

i honestly believe it was so popular because new players think it's the best opinion. I genuinely wonder what % of self use is yellow/green tier compared to other perks.

  • I've always been on OP's side of the argument when it comes to being "sweaty" and trying to win in games. But the problem in dbd is that the optimal strat to win for both sides is just boring and very unfun, unlike most games. It's very much a "hate the game not the player" kinda thing but playing this game sweaty actually ruins the match. It's also another issue that by the time you reason that the other side wants to play solely to win, it's too late to actually change the way you're playing to recover.

Every time I've seen it, it turns into a boring slog of a game where the killer desperately defends three generators like there is a bomb planted in their necks that'll go off if the gates get powered.

Eruption can take a long walk on a short plank

yup yup yup. my last survivor match was A plague who ran the gen kick build just camped a 3 gen from minute 1 and the match went on for 35 minutes and all she did was just pushing people off of gens and kicking them. Like how is this even fun from the killer pov? Like the match didn't even end at 35 minutes i just dc'd out of frustration. I will not be playing survivor again until something is done about eruption, i'm so tired of killers deciding to borderline take the game hostage with this build and the play style it encourages

  • yea flashlights are pretty bad. You can follow the killer the whole game and still not get a single save if the killer uses their brain and just picks up looking at a wall or simply looks around them before picking up. But it's fun tho so i don't really care

  • To sandbag your teammates by trying to use it and then losing 30% gen progress in 1 hit.

For real tho it's a super all in anti 3 gen perk. Ether the killer is actually hard camping a 3 gen from minute 1 and ignoring the rest of the map or it's a missing perk slot.

  • Nowhere to hide - straight up kills stealth gameplay, If you play dbd for for that gameplay this perk is extremely unfun if you don't imo it's fine other than on nurse (like all aura reading lol)

Face the darkness - bad and gimmicky Just use an actually aura perk like the one above

Hubris - useless if you don't run 2 other perks with it with endu and spiritfury it's forces survivors you play really boring and just comp drop

  • seasonal items has been a thing for as long as people had both markets and holidays.
