What about him is boring?
He's another uninteractive killer in loop. Just like artist dredge he just doesn't feel good to loop even if you're winning. He's the worse example of it so far since you can at least try to bait the bird or teleport from dredge, if you aggro the guard in a chase you just gonna hold W, it's really dull gameplay.
-
Ok. They're just skins i don't understand why so many people are pulling their hair out and spewing essay post after essay post. BHVR makes them to sell them for money, if you don't wanna spend money don't spend money.
-
Hopefully never with how boring the killer is.

I feel like the escape rate would be significantly lower if they actually factored in the dcing epidemic that has hit the game recently. In reality the escape rate is probably 25-30%. The number of rage dcs and hook suicides alone show that the game isn't in a good state for survivor. People have never done this at the rates they're doing it now. It's just frustrating to play survivor more than anything else. The game's playerbase was propped up by major updates, the anniversary, and a popular dlc release. Now we're back to losing 12% of the playerbase monthly. We're almost back to the player counts we had before the perk overhaul. The honeymoon phase is over and now the frustration has set in.
I really don't think killrates is a good metric in this game, dbd is pretty unique in gameplay terms and "winning" is hard to measure. Like how many of those survivors who died went back into the match to go for a risky and fun save? How many 4k matches from killers were done with a survivor dead before 5 hook stages? Can you actually value the data from a match where the killer tunneled someone out at 4 gens and ended the game with 5 hook stages the same way as a match where the killer got 9 hook stages and 3 survivors got out?
I think it would be better to take a snapshot of the match once gates are 99%/ powered and than just say anyone on hook or in the dying state didn't escape and everyone alive did. Even that is very flawed but using pure killrate doesn't work super well in my opinion unless the data is extremely high/low.

What a smart person you are.
I have died MANY MANY times due to archive challenges, deliberately.
Load in, sabo 5 hooks, die. Move on to next challenge.
They shouldnt release stats like this, because not so smart people cant comprehend the situations and factors. Such as people killing themselves on first hook in protest. How were those kill gained? Noed? Over how many matches?
lmao nice self tell post. Yea i too grief my teammates by rushing challenges and then suiciding on hook out of the game. Maybe if you were as smart as you think you are, you wouldn't make have made a reply that shows exactly how self entitled you are.
-
healing and gen speeds are out of control
39% survivor escape rate
-
I would say sprint burst is better against the non bs killers like nurse blight. DH will probably always be the most used exhaustion perk because it's fun to use and good.

4v1 means you most of the time can only pressure one to two people at a time. With medkits that pressure you put on 2 people? Won't ever exist unless you camp the hook because they have a 16 second self heal allowing them to constantly split up. With toolboxes that time you pressure 2 people is made up by the extra progress they grant.
you literally pressure 3 people when you hook someone.
1 in chase
1 on hook
1 trying to unhook

Just a bad take. It's a 4v1 where medkits and toolboxes are effectively as temporary 5th perk.
muh 4v1 is a worse take. The game is balanced around being a 4v1, like i just don't understand the statement.
-
@Brimp said:
Because 4 medkits and toolboxes with good addons literally change the game A LOT in the survivors favor...
playing nurse/blight changes the game A LOT in the killers favor. Nether side should get free info.

Still haven't responded to anything that causes any intelligent thought. I'm not gonna waste a perk slot on Lightborn just because these situations sometimes happen, uncounterable as they are.
Im just returning the favor

Even with the game's unreliable scratchmarks and sound? Used to be able to hear survivor footsteps and breathing, but that was too OP for the killer to have I guess. But even knowing that they're there, what do you do then? You can't "just hit them" because they're not stupid and will run to a nearby loop, and still have enough time to come back to flashlight save if you stop chasing them. It's an uncounterable situation unless the survivor makes a mistake, as usual.
strawman lol learn to actually be perceptive instead of blaming the game for not having aura reading 24/7
maybe just use lightborn if you think lights are these op

the amount of damage pop does is incalculable since it's 20% of current progress
pain res, however, is 15% progress
it removes 13.5 seconds of progress, which is more than 10 lol
I meant pop before the nerf, also the nerf is a big change because it a buff in an area that killers lack which is actually repair slowdown. 90% of "slowdown perks" are regression perks.
The meta being mostly regression perks is honestly what is creating the "muh genrush ree" posts 24/7. most of these perks require you to win a chase to trigger, which winning a chase in itself slows down the game via forcing survivors to go for the save. I feel like most posts like this are made after a bad string of games where they weren't able to down people quickly, which not only causes them to have very little value out of their perks but also means they weren't able to be proactive and force survivors off gens via ether chasing them or forcing them to save.
-
Because they were bad and also would single handedly throw games when Rebecca chases the killer for 3 minutes before missing a flashlight save

What about when there's no wall to look into?
then it should be pretty easy to see the survivor coming lol complaining about flashlights is a selftell tbh
-
when they release an exhaustion perk that is both as good and fun as dh is than you won't see it every match. Sprint burst is flatly a better perk than DH is but SB is boring while DH is really fun to use.

a whole 10 seconds NO WAY
a whole 10 damn seconds that everyone overreacted about and then realized its really not that strong of a nerf since toolboxes are as strong as they can be lol
it's literally 2.5 free pops ( or around 4 pain res) and it's not like current slowdown meta is that much weaker with eruption being overtuned.

Is it not true you can do a gen in 45 seconds with a toolbox and hyperfocus + stakeout? You don't even need stakeout if you can hit greats on your own, stakeout makes it so anyone can do it even if you're awful with greats.
Still strawmaning

Bhvr: "Why yes gens are going too fast at 80 seconds, also here's a perk that lets you do them in 45 seconds solo".
good strawman lol
-
it's only a problem on nurse otherwise it's a very meh perk
-
people really like forgetting that gen time has been increased by 10 seconds huh
-
yea it should prolly take a few seconds of repairing to fix but it's honestly a good teacher to not waste time kicking gens when you know other survivors are near by.
-
The same way you enjoy survivor just play for fun and don't care about the outcome of the match. There's too many rng elements in this game that can single handedly lose you matches to actually care about winning.

The requirement to be a hex is that it can only turn off if its cleansed. The fact that there is another way to turn it off makes it no longer a hex.
so the newest hex isn't a hex?

So what, the the survivors should just stay in the open when chased, and they cant be hooked, Imagine going to Coldwind Farm vs a flashlight SWF.
If you have more than 1 survivor hovering you for a flashlight save then you should be happy that they're not doing gens. If you really believe that flashlights "have no counter" than just cope and run lightborn
-
All this change did was made flashlight saves consistent if you managed to do the hard part of the save (getting in position) Killer players who were smart with picking up will be unaffected by this.
-
Honestly my problems with ruin were fixed with when they nerfed tinkerer. BHVR wanted it out of the meta and they did it.
-
@Rootlo said:
It shouldnt be a Hex anymore as its the only hex that can deactivate without being cleansed. Then it would be fine
nah it's still powerful enough to be hex

It's not completely luck dependent. While the hatch spawn is random (barring offerings) players can know common hatch spawn locations and there is a strategy to give yourself a better chance to find the hatch as killer. When you know where the survivor is you can try to get ahead of them and zone them into places where you know the hatch is not. If the killer doesn't know where the survivor is they still have the advantage because they are faster and don't have to worry about dying.
yes it is. it can straight up spawn at your feet.
-
That would be a pretty massive killer nerf since most survivor repair speed stuff is pretty bad imo. I would rather perk categories or a perk point system
-
The issue isn't how powerful it's that she simply doesn't play dbd and that the devs are forced to balance perks around only her.
-
honestly? i also kinda have these thoughts every now and again. sometimes the other personalities take control and i want all the nuclear opinions back into the game however bad for the game that might really be
-
i also think that the map looks awesome, just wished it played like that too.
-
prolly not it's only stupid on nurse but then again every aura reading perk on nurse is op
-
it'll pretty much always be one of the most used perks because it's fun AND good. Every other exhaustion perk is ether boring or bad
-
boons are borderline the new selfcare tbh i wonder how many matches have been lost because people do nothing but boon for half of it
-
it's intended same with dredge grabbing someone in a locker.

Lets say in a semi perfect world the killer didnt want to tunnel you out but if your team gave the killer an opportune time to like rushing an unhook you had your chance but your team took it from your but then that BT comes in to give you a 2nd. Which in a lot of cases happens in my games where someones a bit too eager for that save so they give me an opportunity to snowball and punish for the teammates mistake. Which I'm trying to win so why wouldn't I? Its not like anything survivors or killers do can be considered fun for both sides nowadays. Maybe back in 2016 where no one knew what they were doing.
I don't quite understand what you mean by this "the killer didnt want to tunnel you out but if your team gave the killer an opportune time to like rushing an unhook you had your chance but your team took it from your but then that BT comes in to give you a 2nd"
Do you really believe that someone should be punished being the clicky nea farmed you 0.3 seconds after the killer as hooked you? basekit BT is half anti grief measure and half anti tunnel/camping measure. It lets you have at least a chance to a tile. Again unless you really consider getting unhooked and downed immediately with no chance of doing anything or getting anywhere "chance 1" i really struggle to see how bt/otr are 2nd chance effects.
-
@Brimp said:

"neither is OTR or basekit bt".... so if a killer positions you on a hook in a dead zone and you make it to a tile because of OTR or basekit bt is that not a second chance? The killer put you on a hook around an area that your team used the resources on and now your team rushes in for an unhook and doesn't take a hit. Like how by definition is that not a second chance or should I call it an "outplay" when absolutely no skill was put into the action.
"so if a killer positions you on a hook in a dead zone and you make it to a tile because of OTR or basekit bt is that not a second chance?" Nope that'll be their first chance in that situation as they'll actually get a chance to play the game unless you consider holding W for 10 seconds while the killer tailgates you waiting out bt "playing" the game lol
-

You have to go through at least 1 second chance every chase now and ds is still a 2nd chance its just a matter of where you go down.
what is the 1 second chance perk you deal with every chase? DH isn't a second chance perk btw nether is OTR or basekit BT.
-
complaining about hatch in 2022 is a selftell tbh. You already won the game if it comes down to a hatch coin flip and if you're really that egotistic into thinking that because the hatch decided to spawn closer to the survivor than you means you won less or that the survivor won, idk what to tell you.
Hatch is there so survivors have a reason to not just straight up afk once it's clear doing gens will be impossible.
-
@Brimp said:
Or rather... killers being incentivized to camp from the amount of 2nd chances survivors now have ONTOP of exhaustion perks.
survivors don't have that many actually 2nd chance perks anymore lol It's actually just like deliverance and unbreak now. DS was nerfed into uselessness.
-
it's not an insult it's just fact. The devs have so many issues with tangled code every patch it's actually insane. It's pretty clear that dbd simply wasn't made with the intention of it surviving for anywhere close to this long, so first devs probably didn't spend that much effort into making the the "basement" of the code that stable to build off of.
-
nah only killers are allowed to cherry pick their matches (they only have a 60% winrate(they're the victim role))
-
Perk was healthy for the game outside of it working endgame, It's actually completely uselessly against the better killers at 3 seconds. It NEEDS to let you get out of a deadzone so the killer can't just camp your hook in an area that as one. Honestly kinda off topic but different killers should get stunned for a different amount of time. If you get stunned as killer who is able to ignore pallets in someway you should be punished longer than a m1 killer.
-
health patches don't make money sadly

Only Midwich and some variations of Autohaven Wreckers are the fair maps in the game. Rest are all connected jungle gyms into other pallets into shack etc. Also, we can't just assume that the new map is bugged, it's probably intended.
I don't think the most killer sided maps in the game are "fair maps" lol
-
it's a borderline sandbag perk in soloq tbh, even if they buffed it. maybe in comp dbd it is not a joke but comp dbd it's self is a joke
