Possibly they had spine chill? Also if you pop up as soon a survivor starts a gen they may assume surveillance and use that to bait you for the rest of the game. I’ve done this agajnst surveillance and discordance before and almost every time my assumption was right
Maybe, i dont know, eventually i just stopped crouching all together since it didnt seem to matter and by the end of the game i decided screw.it and went to watch gamegrumps, figured if they dont wanna ever see me that theres no point in fighting it 🤷♂️
-
I just got out of a game as pig, not only did i have a red rank survivor but. I was running surveillance and every time i turned around to go to a gen that just lit up as being worked on, immediatley they bolted off of it, no matter if i was stealthed on the other side of the map or what angle i came from, they always knew where I was
-
Pig is a fairly weak.killer, fun but weak

gl with that. I think you might have more luck in not slugging the 3rd person and simply hooking them. If they're not on death hook the last survivor has a choice to hide or rescue the other guy, and you might be able to find them with BBQ.
I dont think thats quite fair, clearly dcing for the 4th person is clearly happening way more often that just a random disconnect. And it can really hurt the killer players because we lose out on not just 1 kill but 2 which can take a killer from pip to depip depending on how the game went
-
Thats more an issue with bubbas design rather than the strats themselves. Bubba is literally built to be a camp killer, because camping and setting a trap for altruistic survivors.is a thing. What bubba actually needs is a rework though i have no idea how you would rework him
-
Just remember everyone, when a new killer is introduced they have a function. Pig was to slow games down, but that was heavily nerfed because of survivor "FUN" doctor was introduced because stealth was so prevalent, though changed because of "FUN"
-
I just wish the killer coukd be semi hidden instead of a survivor with eyes on the back of his head boltong because he saw me on the other side of the map because of better vision

well to be fair some killers perk were anti-stealthy since this game launched
Not really, some perks helped but nothing was 100% anti stealth till doc

If they add killers like doctor..... I dont really think hide and seek was intended
They added him way after looping was establiahed
-
The nerfs to survivors have been rather minor, killers dont usually recieve minor nerfs, its completely change or downgrade the ability or dont touch it. Survivors tend to recieve more "tweaking" nerfs jn some spots while stronger in others. Ex... Sabo buff for toolbox repair nerf, new arrangements allowing fir stronger basic loops for the cost of godloops so on and so forth

Well, he certainly did not ask for advice. He just complained.
Why do people complain about stuff they dont know? Instead of trying to be better? Asking for advice?
But of course, this Forum sees "Oh, someone says Killer is hard, this person is right!!!11"
How about because a lot of what hes facing are real problems new players face. Things that are a detriment to the game because when a new player encounters situations that distort the rules of the game they had been taught, it is frustrating. Yeah, DS has counters, yeah BT has counters. But those are perks that drastically change the rules and if you are learning killer. Noone tells you how these changes work except for "Maybe you are just a bad killer, You suck nub baby killer ggez"

If I am new to a game, it is completely ok for me to not be good. This goes for every game.
Let alone that Killer is the easiest it has ever been.
Doesnt mean its easy, so you intentionally pick on someone for not being good when they are new??? He says that he isnt that good and hes new so your responce is "It sounds like you SUCK".

I mean yeah, when its almost a guaranteed lost after that, its pretty unfair.
I mean, the same could be said for opening an exit gate.

This will be my last post in this Thread. It is kinda sad to see how vehemently people defend someone who just queues up, goes into a game as AFK-Wraith without the intention to ever play this match...
Anyway:

In my opinion, the unfun stuff should be removed. Like, I cannot blame anyone for killing on first Hook vs Iri Head Huntress. Or when they get camped by an Insidious Bubba (even tho, it would be nice if they would just struggle, but if they are Solo, I fully understand that they dont want to hang around for 2 minutes). If stuff like that gets removed, sure. Same for Killers btw., if the first thing they see is an Object who burned Ormond, I can understand that they dont like it.
What I dont like are people who suicide on first Hook, just because they are bad and went down first. Like, there is this Clown, doing nothing wrong, and they Suicide. Great.
But at least I get to play a game. Sure, a 3v1 sucks and it is most likely not winnable. But I get to play. And maybe get a decent amount of points, if the Killer is playing chill from this point on (not in a meaning to let everyone escape, but just not sweating that much) so that everyone gets a decent amount of points. Or they just slug everyone and want it over fast, cannot blame them for that tbh, even tho I always prefer the chill version, even as Killer.
But I cannot play a game when the Killer decides right from the start to be AFK as Wraith to get some Iridescent Shards. And this is my point.
But at least you queued up with the intention to play that game. This is the difference from what I am talking about.
So it is fine if the survivors ruin a killers gameplay and points by, say, 4 blendettes or forcekilling on hook, but killers have to respect survivors want for fun and play a losing game because ItS nOt FaIr?!?!!??';$

DS is already nerfed, adrenaline is barely ran unbreakable is not very often seen and not much a problem but that’s the problem that’s the only major perk that’s been nerfed a lot of reliable survivor perks aren’t really reliable as much anymore, where as killers if they play right can rely on their perks
https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/1318726#Comment_1318726
Ds is the strongest its ever really been, adrenaline is in ery freakin game same with unbreakable. Most of the survivor perks are stupid reliable, like, its never a bad idea to take DS or unbreakable. These perks give major gamechanging events for 0 risk. Meanwhile killers have several perks that can br completly negated by survivor perks. Not to mention 16 survivor perks per trial compared to killers 4

It takes a lot of time to understand dbd. I don't think you really understood it rn.
Not saying you are stupid, but you need more playtime on both sides. All second chance perks are counterable to an extend. Anyway, i agree that there are edge cases where you are unable to do anything against them perks and that's the reason people use them.
Hes a new player in the game, he admitted this earlier, hes bothered by the fact that while yeah they can be countered, it is much more difficult to pick up killer because of meta perks at literally all ranks. He didnt say he was a god tier player 😑
-
@Respectfulnancymain said:
Have you ever played survivor?
If all your suggestions were added into the game, it would make the game completely killer sided
While not ALL should be implemented, it does show some glaring flaws to the game, the experience for killer is much different than survivor. Especially at low ranks where perk influence can be its strongest.

But personally I think they want to do something similar with the new pyramid head. Maybe pyramid head is a test version for their new mori system. And I would enjoy to see survivors getting moried by noed (maybe as an april fools joke)
Id love a mori system that was fun for both sides. However by the nature that isnt gonna happen, hopefullly these new moris will be less complained about
-
@bingbongboi90 said:

Then it would be pretty much rancor on steroids. Maybe only when endgame collapse start so the killer might actually open the gate by themself to get the mori powers. But i think a lot of survivors will complain that noob killers will use this with noed.
Oh yeah, that makes sense, hey, heres a hilarious idea, let noed also mori ppl downed by it for maximum salt
-
@bingbongboi90 said:
I totally disagree on the bbq part and idk why this is to you a problematic perk because this game need to give more bloodpoints to the player if they are going to release more dlc's. The grind is already annoying enough.
And with the mori part, survivors are supposed to be the only side that has to deal with skillchecks. Maybe make a mori only avaible during the late game, so survivors still can play the game. So maybe 15 min or 20 min in a match then you can use the mori?
On the other things i agree
Ooh, how about once the last gen is done the killer can mori
-

Facecamping might be annoying but it's a strategy because you try to kill the hooked survivor and perhaps slug survivors trying to unhook, so it's at least playing to kill/stop survivors from escaping which is what the killer is supposed to do. T-bagging is just mocking someone so that is just being stupid.
T-bagging is worse than Facecamping! I say that playing mostly as survivor.
Thank you :) it is a valid strategy (specially for bubba) but i can understand why ppl hate it. Its why ill agree to saying both are rude.
-
So, destroy barbque and chilli by turning it into
Perk A: Supports camping if you dont see people, offers no other benefit.
Perk B: a bloodpoint sink required for farming but requiring going in with 3 perks.
And nerf moris by making them waste tremendous amounts of time and have them BACKFIRE.
What do survivors give up for these major bonuses
Keys work only for the user now, easier struggle phase, further spread gates what???
I understand what you are trying to do but you gave ridiculous nerfs to killers and majir buffs to survivors. It feels rather onesided. Maybe im overthinking it

Facecamping a survivor? TOTALLY FINE! It's just taking them out of the game on their first hook, giving them no chance to play the game once they're hooked. Nothing wrong with that!
Doing a little dance, and making some noise that has not effect on the killer's ability to play the game? WORST THING EVER!!
Both are uncalled for. Deal with it *puts on shades*
-
@KingFrost said:
Best way to punish campers is to do gens, then teabag and clicky clicky on your way out. When you get the 4th gen done, make sure you're split up enough that the killer can't come for all of you at once. Maybe head for the exit gate furthest from the killer. Hope you have one survivor on each exit before that last gen pops.
Campers really are ruining the game though. Because of them, Gen Times can't and won't be increased. As soon as gen times are increased, camping becomes even more viable. Which breaks the balance of the game entirely.
"Teabag and clickyclicky on your way out"
"Campers are ruining the game"
-
Make pig traps work in endgame, be a little more reliable, maybe let them have their original effect of executing people going through exit gates. The point is let them be useful and reliable.
Legion, just fix deep wounds, do SOMETHING with this affect.
Bubba is just in a weird spot, no clue what he needs
-
I agree with OP. The game advertises both positions, and i dont think you should have to ignore a role (that many people BOUGHT THE GAME FOR) because it is so unfriendly and clearly more.difficult for new players
-
Id be fine with it if it didnt mess up the game scoreboard. I did well, i got my survivor, why am i being punished because he bailed on his team :( . Other than that im more concerned about dcing to give the last person the hatch than people suiciding on hook.

@Predated said:

Yeah, but my point was that survivors would still finish their gens. It's not DS that makes survivors finish gens before unhooking.
As for the rest, yeah, but the vast majority of players didnt even know they could do infinites. I played killer back then too, and only about 1 person per 5 matches would know the infinites. I was a red rank survivor in those days too(red rank was incredibly easy to get for both sides too), and by the time I got to know where infinites were, a lot of windows got blocked. Some of which I still kinda disagree with nowadays, I wish they would change some permablocked windows for other open windows. Not because they are weak, but because windows are practically static nowadays, and thats kinda boring. The only RNG that influences loops nowadays is Pallet RNG. I wish they added more locations where it could be 1 of 3 states: Window, Doorway, Blocked Window.
But going back to why my point still stands: DS never made it easier for survivors to finish up a gen before unhooking someone, neither does BT. That has always been in the game. Doing nothing while someone is hooked is bad. Heck, I even used to know exactly how much I could fix a generator before I needed to run to the hooked survivor to prevent him/her from going into second stage. I can still guesstimate it today, but I dont really care too much about fixing a gen as fast as possible as I used to back then unless the killer is camping. Because back then, Ebony Mori's were given almost every single bloodweb, and they were OP as #########, especially that the Halloween chapter made it worse by introducing Dying Light, not only making matches extremely short, but survivors were punished for not rushing.
Infinites as most people knew them didnt quite exist uet, what we had was the ability to spam windows and vaults with no counter. Hop thrkugh window, killer would hop through, you run around to the other side and do it again. If the killer turned around to cut you off, you double back and sat by the window. I had a game, 4 survivors spam jumping through windows woth no way to stop them. I dropped the game fore nearly 2 years

Survivors: Use slugging to counter DS if you dont like seeing it
Also survivors: WhY kIlLeR sLuG mE ImMa Dc CaUsE its MEEEEEAAAANNNNNNN IF YOU DISAGREE YOU ARE NOOB KILLER AND SHIULD PLAY DIFFERENT GAME CUZ IM BAD
-
When i hear survivors telling killers to "just slug for the 4k" it makes.me.cringe because of the DOZENS of threads about how killers shouldnt be allowed to slug
-
Play DND or pathfinder with pals, though my usual group is on hiatus, usually just do it over discord
-
@Peanits said:
I'm sorry you feel that way. Please let us know what you think after playing with/against it a bit.
Im sorry @Peanits while i do think we should wait and see how it plays. There are way too many second chance perks as it is and i think we might just see it as part of the meta :/
DS, Adrenaline, BT and Soul Guard? I hope killers are getting a perk that can help with this stuff. 🙁
-
So when survivors tbag at exit gates and scream.racism and insults in endgame chats killers need to get thicker skin but when we tease the hatch all of a.sudden we are.childish and mean.
-
Survivors want all killers to be 110% ms no power killers. When killers have an ability its too op

Hello
Would you consider putting a trap under a hooked survivor camping? Would you also consider putting a trap near a survivor camping ? Do you think it's fair?
I just saw a video which talks about what your killer main says about you. He said: "If you main trapper your probably a camper. You probably but traps on the survivor that you hook. That's who you are."
First i though isn't that the points of traps but then i got to start a bit thinking. Is butting traps near a survivor camping? Is what I been doing the hole time that thing I try not to do and don't want to do (i couldn't even do it to boring for me) . (I don't place them underneath a hook. I place them near the hook in tall grass were its well hidden, some were on the side. Most of the times a way from or to the hook.)
Since before i started playing I watched tip and tricks videos were it was most of a time a tip to but a trap there. I've seen play on YouTube done the same. So i thought it was just a good strategy.
I saw rhat same.video, it was almost entirely sarcastic, dont worry you are good ,👍

Wow the salt in the thread is thick, like, not so much a dash as like, a saltlick being thrown at someone. Guy did well and the entire survivor community jumped on him "YOu oNLy DId wEEl caUsE mOrI"
Well OP im sorry you got trash talk and the fact the guy dug for your real name is kinda sick. You did good as Oni and you should be proud you did well 👍

You can’t force somebody to stay in a game first of all. DC penalties are already unnecessary because it only benefits the killer simply because hook suicides still ruin it for the survivor side. No reason to stick around and break your controller struggling on the hook anyways. Or just get poorly hook rescued and Mori’d. From my experience, this game is very rarely fun for survivors. If they make it more interesting for survivors I think you’d see different results. Need better ways to keep the killer off your back to prevent tunneling and get rid of those Mori’s. Keys can go too I don’t even care lol it’s not like you see your teammates bring them in that often because I think everyone typically prefers medkits or maps. Killers always get to use their Mori’s, but do survivors always get to use their keys? No. In fact, if I use a key at all it’s because I have a gold token attached to it with prayer beads 😂 the hatch escape with a key is kind of like a bonus, not really the main intent of bringing a key in. But anything that ends the game quick needs to disappear from this game entirely.
Did you just say DC penalties are killer sided? Holy crap this whole thread is nothing but a wave of entitled people complaining that they are so bad at the game they should be able to rage quit and penalize the killer for it.

Edit added comments: I recommended this to my friends a while ago, it was fun wed play private lobbies and stuff but noone ever really played the base game besides me. Now? I wouldnt dream of asking anyone i know to try killer, its a dumpster fire of rage and salt. Plus without extensive knowledge of perks and addons survivor can basically cheat if you arent aware of the perks, heck even if you are some things are questionable at best
-
I saw a comment on youtube i like, ontop of the normal DC penalty, all earned bloodpoints should go to the other side, survivor looses all earned bloodpoints toward the killer and killer looses his bloodpoints to the 4 survivors
-
Facecamping sucks to go against, you know what else does? 3 gens done in a minute and a half. Problem with both issues is you cant penalize them without punishing people who are just playing the game. Whatcha gonna do, invincibility field around rhe hook? Block generators so only 1 can be worked on at a time? Sounds dumb doesnt it

Shed be high tier if her traps either
A: Worked in endgame or
B: Were more consistent

God, the fun I've had today bumping into toxic survivors today is astounding.
First game I get a Rank 2, 3 and a 16 with 4 different teacheables sweat against me who was farming. By sweat I mean do rapid 360s aggressively bagging and point and bag if I missed. When I go to confront why 2 reds have to get carried by a rank 16, they say. "Gg, I 360d you ez. Learn how to play the game instead of being salty".
Next game I get a rank 1 with two 14s. And when I called them on it saying, so which one was it, they lied and said they were solo when I clearly looked and they were with the two of them. Then calls me salty for asking why she is sweating low ranks xD
Like... am I the only one to get this much bs out of this already piece of sh#t game? 😅
There has always been toxicity slung but lately survivors have doubled down on how furious they are. Honestly its been a pretty big issue and tbh, i have been playing more toxic because of it, not even intentionally but it works, and i feel less bad about the massive rage if i was a douche beforehand.
Soooo win for me???

Maybe the thing you should be saying is. *Wow... This game really is unfriendly to new players, if killers who pick it up this way feel like this maybe I should try being a bit better of a person and focus on making it more enjoyable for everyone involved" Nice empathatic responce tho

The most sympathetic killer ever. Some shmuck in a costume pulled to murder people because the entity wanted some badass werewolf or something. Poor guy whos never hurt anyone in his life now has to kill teens and crap and he cant stop himself lol. Guess it could be the first killer whose objective os to let everyone live 👍
