I Player a few games as a survivor and here are the most toxic killer's I encountered.
1.Nurse- Tunnelling and somtimes camping
2.Huntress-Tunneling
3.Wraith-Tunelling and camping
4.Hillbilly- Tunnelling and camping
Most of them are proxy camping.
I almost play every single game against toxic killers. When I'm simply just try to do my daylies or achieve challenges.
-
Same just reversed in my case
Btw i know that it looks like I'm not a noob by how my perks and add ons look but i didn't play for a year so im pretty bad right now.
-
I had the same problem, i played the game after a week (the week before i didn't play a year or so) again. The mm is a joke i played as both survivors and killer, it was worse at killer. And i had zero fun. Because i didn't play to offten i never actually advanced from brown ranks before and now i have to play against former red ranks who bully me. This is so ridiculous. Where is the logic. What would happen to someone who just bought the game?!

I dont know. I play on PS4. I have all characters prestige III lv 50. It's not an expertise problem. As I said, is a devs problem where survivors have it waaay to easier. Have you seen Haddonfield lately? It's completely ashaming what they have done there. Unbelievable.
https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/1722457#Comment_1722457
It gets boring when they keep rushing, of course. But they usually stop repairing and come to the rescue. Which is the whole point of it all. If the devs can't solve the survivors are way stronger than killer issues then it's a good thing that at least this holds the game for a little bit longer than the usual 3 minutes and the killer gets a chance to get some points too. And given the toxicity of the game nowadays, most of the time I camp someone who has teabagged or is part of a rush team so... what's fair?
Ok cool thank you for answering
-
Doesn't it get boring and don't you think it is a bit unfair to the camped survivor (sry if one or both of these questions already got asked)

You didn't even know eh? Well that's nice, but this was all prompted by direct demands on twitter toward DbD devs via their community manager. They were pressured into doing this. That's the problem, right there. Not because a character is gay or DbD were feeling particularly warm and fuzzy, but because they were PRESSURED into doing so under tacit threat of backlash. That is not how you win hearts and minds. Quite the opposite, actually, it's how you alienate them.
"This is tracer all over again" oh you mean a totally pointless and meaningless corporate gesture to pacify a demographic of consumers? Good, we're on the same page.
With "This is tracer all over again i mean the whining from people like :" why did they have to make her gay" "it's totally unnecessary." "only five of twenty people are gay" Instead of minding their own business.
Also i love the decision to make her a lesbian. I can totally imagine that and couldn't picture her as straight.
I can't say what you said about Twitter is true or false, since I don't have Twitter.

Do you know that in some countries it's practically a death sentence if anyone finds out? I'm quite aware of the adversity facing homosexuals throughout the world. That's hardly what's being addressed here. They're facing true injustice and you? Well, you're feeling unincluded. Forgive me if I don't see the relation here. You ever hear the phrase "first world problems" before?
The demand to be constantly recognized and catered to cheapens the struggle of real people facing real cruelty all over the world. People are here heckling BHVR over "inclusion" not to save a person's life or to free them from oppression. I think you need to get your priorities straight here, because they are shockingly out of order.
Furthermore, don't pretend like this is anything other than a threat to the developers. Saying "no" subjects them to the full fury of social justice warriors that don't even play this game and have never heard of it. This is a circus and you know it.
I didn't mean that inclusion is more important than saving lives and ending oppression.I do know (actually meant death sentence) and it breaks my heart. But do you know why we have a Pride Paredes even though in some countries the biggest problems are already gone. To be loud and show we are just people who want to live a normal life and spread awareness. Inclusion and representation can normalize LGBT and maybe can change people's perspective on that matter. Maybe it can change those countries two. The parallel is that if we making LGBT normal than LGBT persons don't have as many proplems to face.
Also why is it such a bad thing if there was an gay character in dbd? It doesn't hurt you or does it?
I didn't even know that they were planning to release a gay character until I read in the forum about this. I don't care if they didn't do something like that. I think it's nice.
Please don't assume that i never faced "real" problems. In this case i wouldn't fit your description of "real" problems. Juat the fear of discrimination and non exception.
Please show me evidence that the developers are at risk of a ######### storm. Wait scratch that they already have half of a ######### Strom from doing it from people that can't mind their own business.
Yea this is a circus bc people scream at them why they have to make a gay character without a real reason. This is tracer all over again.

Both sides have "crutches" (hate hearing that, but I can see why) such as Moris and Keys, but those extras make the game less predictable and more entertaining for me at least.
The thing that confuses me - and this is probably too literal - but to call a killer a baby killer when they actually do the killing, and yet they're not baby killers if they get The Entity to do it for them! Likewise, a baby survivor apparently is one who refuses to be taken to the hook without resisting, or pulling themselves off the floor despite their agony, but they are not a baby if they just enjoy the ride to the hook. Always odd to me!
Give this one a medal! Finally someone says it, both sides have their goods and bads!

You cannot possibly compare Ebony Mori with ANY of the survivor perks, items or addons.
First of all Ebony Mori is an OFFERING and it prematurely removes survivors from the game usually resulting in a sure win for the killer. I don't recall any survivor offerings that basically win you the game just by playing it.
As for the survivor's perks and item addons, ofcourse there are some that have some sort of impact if used properly but they actually require some skill/experience in using them; Mori requires no skill at all to use: You just equip it and you can kill any survivor if opportunity presents itself.
I can, keys and moris sind partially the same. They end the game earlier as it should. Most times resulting in a win for the player using it.

That's nice, but you know what I see? I see a bunch of self-important self-righteous amateur social engineers making demands for a team of artists to change their work or else. Typical behavior from dictators, fascists, bigots, and the social justice community alike.
Wow! Where do i even begin. First you just proven the others argument right about not feeling welcomed. Second were just asking for representation. Also do you know in how many countries being gay is still illegal?
Why can't we just have a little representation I mean straight relationship are seen as normal in media and rl but lgbtq is seen as unnatural and not normal.
Most are probably not mad if we don't get a gay character. Ist fine, just don't tease us. I actually don't need a character it's enough if we get pride skins and belt/hook charms. A character would be nice tho.
Why do you even care so much if what gender kisses what gender. It doesn't affect you or hurt you.
You write your comment like we're going to stand behind the team with torches and Pitchforks, to make them do this. I don't even think anyone asked them to do this. If yes show me evidence of it.

What concerns me more is
How would you tell if you're being targeted cause you you're playing a LGBT character, or because you are in a dead zone, or just not good at looping, making you a perfect target for all killers?
Imagine in post chat someone being accused of being homophobic cause they targeted the weak link in the team, that happens to be playing a LGBT character.
This also could go for people of color. "You killed me, you have to be a racist! I'm gonna report you!" Should they just remove the few black characters?
No.

But why?
Screw yourself out of the points and get a longer DC penalty than the bleed out timer.
I know people love to think that they're really upsetting killers with this stuff, but generally they're just laughing about it. (I had two DC's in a game last night - one of them while I was taking them to the hatch because I felt merciful after the first DC! What a goofball. Post game chat they told me that I deserve every DC I ever get because I had the nerve to play Legion. I was laughing the entire time.)
Also, people really need to lose this "fun" argument. You queued for a game. You can lose that game. People don't get to act like a baby just because "losing isn't fun!"
That was before paneltise. It's seriously about the bleeding out instead of hooked part. I don't mind being killed. What i do mind is being slugged with my whole team near me, that is slugged to. Do you know how boring it is to watch yourself bleed out.
Bring me to a hook fine! Don't mind the hook. The thing is do you want to play against someone that plays just to make you mad. Like a team of toxic pro survivors that shove you their flash light the whole time in your face. Or a killer just toying with you, planing to make your game frustrating.
I don't care about points. Play so irregulari that i don't rank up. Also i meant it like they want to but can't bc of paneltise.
Of course like i said in the first comment people who abuse the funktion need to be punished. It's a game and a game is about fun. Losing can be fun too if you play against a killer in you skill level and you had a good chase.
-
@Bovinity said:
https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/1313476#Comment_1313476
Why would you DC when slugged?
Do you think the games fun when you wait to bleed out on the ground with your team mates, while the killer just stares at you. Still worst game i remember so far. I didn't dc but wished i did.
-
I don't think it's a good idea since no one knows was that hook suicide or did the survivor fail to struggle (newbie, keyboard/ controler fail or distracted) . Or what about the hook suicides to give the hatch the last survivor.
Also the DC paneltise are not as good as they sounded at first. Of course players who abuse the Funktion should be punished but as it shows there is no way to leave game if it isn't fun anymore, as an example: all four survivors lay on the ground being sluged by the killer. You decide to die on the ground so you DC. Or you are glitched into something and you can't leave. What do you do DC. There is a bee in the room I'm playing. What do i do DC and leave the room immediately.
There is a reason why people kill them self on hooks. Sometimes they are good and sometimes they are bad.

An important thing to ask is how old is the video?
Many moons ago, Trapper could put a trap directly under the hook preventing survivor escapes and kobe's. If the video is talking about that old mechanic then it can probably be disregarded.
Also, I tried to make a "What your Survivor main says about you" video, but I quit after remembering that Survivors are just skins and "Survivor Players" as a whole are just looking for an easy casual game to play with no risk to their sensitive egos (/s)
It wouldn't be a very interesting video lol
Its from 05-06. I don't know which year but it is pretty recent i think. (It's from tiktok, please don't judge me)

Not in the way most Survivors use the terms, which is 'Any gameplay I (the Survivor) don't like'.
I've been called a camper for not letting a Survivor unhook in front of me.
I've been called a tunneler by a Survivor who got unhooked & decided to Self- Care under the hook.
I've been called a tunneler by a Survivor who I found 40 seconds later, in a different chase, who was still Self-Caring because she moved around allot to avoid me. (She felt that I had to let her heal up, or I was tunneling her)
I've been called a camper because I placed Hag traps near the hooked Survivor and the group never learned to crouch-walk or use their flashlights (and they had 2 flashlights!)
The terms 'camper' and 'tunneler' are catch-all terms for 'Do anything the Survivor hates'. They know, however, that complaining about game mechanics is stupid AF, so they invent terms & then try to use peer-pressure to force new Killers away from 'bad' gameplay. (You don't want to be a BAD Killer, so don't camp or tunnel!)
It's all an attempt to try forcing their fake little pea-brained rules on everyone else so they can have easy wins. You'll notice that not a single Survivor has ever said 'I gave myself to the Killer after we genrushed, because the game went too fast' but they'll ALWAYS say 'Camping makes me die too fast! PUNISH CAMPING!'
The difference in those two? Winning & losing. It's okay for Survivors to win in under 5 minutes, but if the Killer kills 'too fast', then they are OP, or broken, or they 'camped' and need to be punished.
It's all bullshit meant to make the game easier for the babies who can't handle losing.
Actually sometimes i let the killer kill me at the end. The only time i want to survive desperately is when my daily requiers so.
I only get mad as a survivor if i can't complete my daily, but mainly because I'm a killer main and don't want to be stuck at survivor dailys.
I'm sorry to hear about survivors accusing you of doing something you didn't do, but it is still a thing that exists massively. Tunneling/Camping is a valid strategy, that isn't fair in most cases. I'm just glad i don't play much, even when i want to rank up (most of the time i get a bit sad after seeing myself de-ranking when i check in after a long time). I can't imagine what playing at high ranks has to be like since my experience with low rank is actually good regarding messages (probably bc i play on ps4).
-
Dailys since i take days to complete some of them. I survive when i play a normal game for most of the time. Suddenly i have a daily and i die 90% of the time. Killers are always those i can't play at all like the oni.
Oh and a team full of blendettes with some flashlights. Because i know that they ain't there to finish the objective.

It's annoying for killer, especially for new killers that can't hear the survivors through the blind or they don't have lightborn.
But i think that most killer's don't like flashlights because they don't know if it's a normal or toxic survivor, that will abuse the power they have.

Survivor to Survivor:
When you spawn in with another survivor and they give you 1-2 teabags: "We got this, bro."
When a survivor is on a gen and another survivor approaches and gives you 2 teabags: "Hello"
When a survivor pops a gen and another survivor faces them and teabags (2-3 times) while staring up: "STOP ######### UP THE GEN, NEWB."
When a survivor gets healed, and the healed survivor teabags (2 times): "Thank you"
When a survivor who just healed another survivor teabags in response: "You're welcome"
When a survivor runs up to a gen you're doing and teabags repeatedly (5+ times): "I have no intention of helping; I'm just here for the memes."
When you're hooked and the last remaining survivor teabags repeatedly across the map: "I found the hatch, please #########."
Survivor to Killer:
When a survivor teabags and flashlights in front of you: "I know where the god loop is and intend to waste your time while flashlighting every palette" (avoid)
When a survivor teabags safely on the other side of a palette: "I'm not very good at looping, but palettes make me feel safe and secure"
When a survivor teabags at a window: "Come and get me through this window, slow a$$ window vaulter"
When a survivor lingers in the exit gate doing 360's and teabagging: "I feel cool and edgy when the killer comes, even though I'm completely safe and this is stupid"
When a survivor is waiting patiently at the edge of the exit gate line, facing the exit but looking behind them: "Killer wanna give it one more tap before I go? wink*wink"
When a survivor teabags 2 times before running out the door, typically while not being aggresively pursued: "Thanks for the game/escape, my new killer friend."
They're subtle nuances, but you learn after awhile. ;)
Thank you literally so much! Now i actually now what those t-bags mean and probably won't be as easily trigger. I always though most of them were taunts! Like some streamers do.

You have to read the situation. Many times it is hello, thank you, etc. Just saw the survivor that was unhooked 3 seconds ago and shook your head no while slashing at the air and they crouch rapidly, that is acknowledgement and thanks.
If you take every crouch sequence as an offense, you will be miserable. Heck, when they do it after a pallet drop I assume they are saying they desire a beating and don't want to leave. I'm happy to oblige.
Thank you!

They could make it that you have to lay there for a while. Like if the killer doesn't pick you up in a fair amount of time you can give up.
If the killer just pikes you up and trops you down to reset the timer, they could make it that it doesn't reset if your did not break free or get hooked.

If someone out here really thinks that tbagging changes the games progress or its fairness at all I would seriously recommend doing the Am I Having a Stroke tests, preferably with someone else to evaluate.
It kinda has a bit of an effect. If you get tbagged (and your easy to anger or emotional) sometimes you get so angry that you play worse. (Some people even quit. Especially on a team full of blendetts.) It kinda makes you feel the game is unfair ( i can understand why someone would actually think that it's changes the game) or you are the worst player( or at least not so good) . It can motivate to camping, tunneling and slugging. Since it is a way of mocking you for playing not as good as them (i wish sometimes it wasn't).
I would say it doesn't really effect the game and it's mechanics but the way you play and the fun you have while playing it and others (since it motivates toxic behavior). I can understand that making fun of killers can be fun ( I've done it before and liked to watch youtubers do it before) but it's not fun for the most killers. But I would like it to become like a universal fun hello or something like that, instead of 'haha you're bad'.
-
I am a killer main and i agree. Its gotten easier to play killer. Before it was frustrating, now its a breeze. I've began just to play dbd once or twice a month bc it was so frustrating. Now it's so easy especially with Michael and doctor (bad example, i know) and even with plague it's easier.
And the weird thing is i was a trash killer, always getting 0k with luck 1k. At least it's not frustrating anymore.
-
I know I'm late but i had a long time ago the idea for a killer. I was inspiring by two songs and adris (the plague) so i know it doesn't need a killer like this
She doesn't have a name to this day bc I'm bad at names.
Once a pretty woman. She was "happily" married, until the day her husband convinced her to plastic surgery, saying she would be even more beautiful. She was hesitant but said yes. Due to money issues or his greed, she went to the cheapest one. The surgery was not a success. At first her husband was "supportive", but after a while he has grown distanced. Until one fateful night she catches him and a friend of hers cheating. She snapped. So she takes a baseball bat and hits them until they aren't moving anymore. Yelling over and over "You did this to me!" That was the last time she was ever seen again.
The idea for her appearance is that everything that could go wrong with plastic surgery has gone wrong.
Wepaon: Baseball bat
Power: i don't have an good and original idea .-.
Perks would be all about her mistrusting.
Like:
Not anymore
Ever survivor that meets up will give the killer a notification and their auras would be visible for 5/10/20 seconds. (Probably not a good perk)

killers at rank one that use pop goes the weasel, NOED, BBQ and Nurse's Calling perks are OP, what makes killers OP is ######### hitboxes as well it's getting to a point i can't remember the last hit i got that actually wasn't 5-10 meters behind me, if they fix hitboxes i'm ok with them making jungle gyms worse if hitboxes are fixed but the state this game currently is in is terrible, so many survivors i know said they will become killer mains because of the new update
The first thing i agree on. Hit boxes are broken. Both as killer and survivor I've seen hits that should have and shouldn't have landed.
BBQ isn't op. You can counter (lookers, go in the false direction)
Nurses calling can be a problem(one hit or risk killer finding you).
NOED if you have the time, do bones and the perk is gone. Most of the times it isn't hid very well (and there is a perk for finding totems). I understand if you say there is no time for it since some times it's actually good hidden.
I don't have experience with pop goes the weasel. I never used or seen it to be used, but like some people have said it's like the new ruin. To slow gen speed. So i can't agree nor disagree on this point.

also i do know how it feels to be tea bagged at the exit gate, it doesn't bother me, i don't take the game like a personal attack, like you 😂
You are the exempal of players who can ignore it, but i think you can agree that everyone should play the way that everyone has fun. Not just fun for survivors, not just fun for killers, not just fun for one person.
Do you know why balancing is such an issue? People are toxic. People are using the games flaws and bad mechanics. So the devs have to make perks, killers and even reworks to work against the issue.
If no one's abusing the bad design choices. Nerfs and buffs wouldn't be so huge.
And at last. Think about what a person you are and what a person you want to be. You just laughed at one person for being emotional infested in a game. You laughed at a lot of people that just hate t-bags. What a person does that make you?

Then you should not look at the Flashlight, like I have written, look up. If you look at the Flashlight, it is quite easy to get the blind. The critical point is to use the Flashlight so that you are blinded when the picking animation ends (because during the animation the Survivor can blind the Killer, but they will not drop the Survivor). If you are not stuck in an animation and someone is blinding you with a Flashlight and you dont avoid it at all, you will drop the Survivor.
Since when? I didn't play it for a few months. It was always during the animation befor.
Thank you for the replie

Flashlight saves require very precise timing right down to the milisecond(okay, this may be an overexaggetion), time it where the animation of picking up the survivor just ends and where the killer cannot look away.
They do require skill, if they're getting saves while you're just walking around with a survivor, it's entirely your fault. Start looking up.
But i was already walking not picking up any more.
-
@Aven_Fallen said:
Yes, it is supposed to happen. And it is probably one of the most skillful things a Survivor can do.
It is also counterable by looking at a wall or at least turning around before picking up. And if a Survivor is trying to blind you, look up as fast as possible, because if they did not get the timing right, you will be blinded, but not dropping the Survivor. If you keep looking at the Flashlight, you will eventually drop the Survivor.
No i already picked them up they flashlighted me as i was walking
