100% agree. Rem9ve the brown addon to give an extra trap and make it base.
-
but they dont accuse the survivor of hacking.thesuicidefox said:And killers are not? I've seen way too many games where a survivor destroys the killers totem, or flashlights them once, or breaks a random hook clear across the map for what is obviously a daily, and then the killer tunnels and facecamps them for being "toxic".
Killers can be hard headed ######### too.
inb4 Someone assumes by that last statement that survivors are never #########.
They just play the game in a less efficient way, totally within the rules of the game. -
Devs seem to be fine with survivors bullying killers. Else there would be more options.
-
Go play against a swf bully squadette and then you will see why people tend to back out of swf matches.
-
Yes, it would technically be a nerf for killers even, since survivors will KNOW it's there and will move against it.
But since it's pretty much NEEDED for killers, it might as well be a default thing.
-
Blink isnt the same as a chain blink.
You can remove chain blinks but not the blink.
-
New nerf for wraith. When breaking pallets and any time he walks close to a broken pallet he gets a splinter debuff stack that reduces movement speed.
The only way to remove the splinters is to either hack and get SC or politely ask a survivor to remove them. -

No benefit when carrying to hook there's already perks for that though.Ya, iron grasp is ######### though. fuse them together and you could get a good perk.
-
Make killer models the same hitbox as survivor...
-
They would buff killers, and so the devs can't have that.
Just have it so that when against the doctor and madness is at 3 or above, you get NO such notification. As in you are too crazy/deranged to notice those things.
It wouldn't affect other killers, it wouldn't make the doc OP, but with the spaghetti code who knows if it's possible to but that in the game without breaking something.
-
This idea has been suggested a billion times already, and the death argument is that SWF will quickly figure out if they are the killer and make the power completely useless.
-
I dont think it would count. They made it so that perks that activate on hit have to be done with the main weapon not a power. They made franklins not work on chainsaw hit, only on regular hit.
But you only need to hit them once for ts to work, so hit them once per survivor then hatchet your way to victory. -
The crooked sounds like hes going to mug you with an old timey voice.
Nyaa, you're going to give me all your money see? -
The thing that people forget about noed is that its 100% preventable. Its a mindgame perk.thesuicidefox said:@The_Manlet said:

Survivor main. Ruin is fine honestly. Either bring a toolbox, use certain perks to do skill checks/find totems, or just get good at great skill checks. Most games Ruin is gone after the first chase, it's mostly there to give the killer a chance to start up pressure on the survivors. Others I just plow through and get my 2 gens so I can hatch at least.NOED though is IMO a clutch perk. So many bad killers use it and end up getting way more kills than they rightfully deserve. And I mean just really bad killers, ones that can't catch you even when you don't loop or never kick gens or break pallets. Those killers always have a NOED and it always makes up for their lack of skill. I get games can go fast and it can be used as an ace in the hole, but good killers make better with other perks so the only ones that use it are the bad killers. If you want something for endgame that's not a crutch pick Remember Me. It's way more effective and actually takes some skill in that you have to find and hunt down your obsession. It also rewards you greatly for going after the DS guy, so now there's value in chasing them and not leaving them until the end of the game because DS.
And to be clear, DS and NOED are both equally crutchy perks for either side. Both give you a freebie for basically being bad at the game.
Survivors have tons of crutch perks outside of Decisive Strike. Self-Care and Sprint Burst both completely change the way the game is played and Adrenaline is the survivor equivalent of NOED.
I'm not disagreeing with you. But even as a killer you have to admit NOED is a crutch. Probably the only crutch killer perk, but still a crutch.
Sprint Burst is only a crutch when it triggers multiple times in a chase. I've managed to escape a lot of chases just by the luck it triggered at the right time, it was definitely helping me when I should have been dead. The exhaustion update should fix that, though I do think Vigil should allow you to recover from Exhaustion while running if at least at a reduced amount.
Self Care is almost a necessary perk, to the point it almost should be a based survivor ability. The only time it becomes a crutch is when you pair it with other crutch perks like DS or BT (which IMO isn't really a crutch on it's own but it is when combined with SC). The SC change sounds so convoluted, like all the solutions we have gotten so far. I don't get why Self Care can only have a limited number of uses unless you have a medkit in your hand in which case it would be infinite (SC use is infinite not the medkit).
Only thing I would change about Adrenaline is that it only triggers during the period when the gates are powered. If you are hooked then getting unhooked shouldn't proc Adrenaline after the fact.
Do you rush the gens and hope the killer doesnt have noed? Do you not rush the gens and instead look for totems just in case he has it?
The choice is the survivor's. If they gamble and lose its their own fault when they have a surefire way of preventing it. -
This person has never played against tryhard swf squads.
-
I think you get progress for it for not being caught while in a certain range of the killer.
-
The perk is good for both you and the killer since it shows both of you a little horsey icon.
-
I mean its not a bad idea, but isnt freddy weaker in the real world?
Also he would just be a normal killer with no power at that point unless you add something.
I say do the inverse! Once the gates are powered everyone starts going in that half asleep state from the movie and cant be woken up.
In this half asleep mode, survivor actions are slowed less(25% as opposed to 50%), but they can be hit by freddy. They also dose off every few seconds, showing their aura to freddy. Similar to how freddy blinks into existence when a survivor is falling asleep but slower.
This would make freddy a weak killer during the gen phase but make him strong end game. -
Cry. Because that's what the devs consider balanced.
They don't want to give killers any power because new survivors will die too easily, but they aren't afraid of giving survivors god like powers to bully killers.
They need to add some long term consequences to being hit and hooked, like permanent speed debuffs. Getting hit should reduce your action speed by 10% for the first hit and 3% of your current speed for each other hit. Hooking should reduce repair speed by 25% each hook stage.
This would reduce camping and tunneling when unesessary. And slow the game down. -
Teachables appear in the bw at level 30, 35 and 40.
If you dont get them then, then i dont know. They might be put in the pool of perks to choose from and you will have to get them randomly.
Select the nurse and press f1 to confirm if you have the teachables or not. -
You dont understand at all. Theres nothing to do to stop the intentional campers.Jack11803 said:Too bad that’s common. BBQ does very little to motivate not camping, except by people who would normally not camp anyway.
The point is to insentivise other things by rewarding or pointing in the right direction.
This is what bbq does, it points you in the direction of other survivors so that you dont camp. It also rewards you to not tunnel by giving you stacks.
The point isnt to stop 100% of campers, its to reduce the amount while promoting healthy gameplay.
I think bbq should be put in the base kit for killers. It would teach newer killers to not camp and tunnel and make all survivors aware that its a thing and how to counter it. Put those in the tutorials and let everyone know. Dont let people play unless they did the tutorials. -
This isnt the bug thread. You are complaining that a killer is OP based on a bug.brokedownpalace said:
I'm complaining about a BUG. Please read.8BITLORD said:You complain about hag and not Myers?
Myers tier 1=0 Meters slowed down
Myers tier 2=8 Meters faster then hag (most of game)
Myers tier 3=24 Meters instadown and fast vaults
And you know that you can crouch over her traps right? -
A long time ago, when saboing all the hooks was the meta tactic, making hooking survivors impossible.
The survivors has saboed all the hooks on the map and only hung around area where i couldnt reach the basement.
I wad play wraith and was still kinda new to the game, the survivors got super cocky, healing downed teamates right in front of me, so i downed them all and let them bleed out.
The best part was that back then you could use the bell to play songs, so i played jingle bells and happy birthday for like 2 minutes while they fruitfully crawled on the ground.
They were so salty in the post game chat, but what else was i supposed to do? It was 100% impossible for me to make it to a hook. They were just reaping what they sowed. -
It could be both, a laggy survivor will still lag, a laggy host will make everyone lag though.MagV3 said:@Siggerad said:
If you have lag is your own connection, mateIts actually more likely to be the killers connection as hes the host. There are no servers. You can check your ping bottom right in lobby by the timer.
-
You know you cam pick it back up right? You can also pick up other peoples stuff. Flanklins is a bad perk against swf since of you hit and pickup some that had a flashlight, their buddy can pick it up and blind you with it, giv8ng them an escape that they normally wouldnt have.
It doesnt stop you from using items at all, it just makes you go pick it back up. -
It might just be his FoV i know that people claim similar things in the past when they changes the FoV of some killer. It gives the feeling of speed without changing anything.
Also it might have seemed like he got to you faster if you were basing it on when you got the heartbeat. Perks like Monitor and abuse reduce heartbeat rage and doc has the calm addon that reduces it more while in punishment mode. It also make you hear a heartbeat noise as if you were 9n the edge of the radius, fooling your sense of where he is.
Those are 2 things that could easily explain it, but we wont know for sure until its properly tested or checked by the devs. -
They need to up the perk gain once you unlock more teachables.
3-4 choices at level 50 with the ability to get a 2nd perk if you rush it.
Have this activate only if you have X amount of teachables. -
Survivors and killers alike dont even know that you can swing and hit a survivor on the other side 9f a window when no one is vault8ng.
The killer attack has a range. Unless you have run away from the window, the attack still hits.
Vaults arent supposed to be safe zones, they are supposed to let you gain ground on the killer, but not give you a free escape when hes right behind you. -
Dont forget that he could have gained a supernatural power after being in the Entity realm.
Heck you could make it so that its related to phones.
Or hell, make him the first killer without a power. Make him run at noed speed and have no or greatly reduced TR while not in a chase. Since he always seems to appear out of nowhere in tye movies.
Or maybe the gens have phones attached to them that ring when a skillcheck is triggered regardless of good or great.
I dont know if they will do more licenced killers though since they cant do much with them after. -
Being exausted should slow the run speed by a very small amount. It should also slow vaulting and other action speed by 25%. It goes away quite fast while crouching, so it wouldnt be so bad if you escape. Exaustion perks should give you a boost to prevent you from being caught at the cost of less sustain afterwards.
-
If you find yourself being tunneled a lot, then it might be you thats the problem. Hide better, run away better or dont have your teammates unhook in front of the killer and have them heal you fast afterwards.
Why would a killer go after a healthy survivor instead of an easy to find survivor that can be downed in 1 hit?
But its fine, because survivors are going to cry about bbq and chilli, even though its a perk that highly encourages killers not to camp and tunnel needlessly. -
The nightmare is perfect the way he is. He was meant as a nightmare, and he is a complete nightmare to play with.
Perfect game design. -
Its probably not additive, it might be multiplicative though. It would make healing really slow.
But remember that if they purposefully miss 1 skill check they might lose all slow since i dont know if freddy has a TR outside of the dream world. -
I mean... have you been on reddit or the steam forums?
Nothing has changed, except that DbD now pays for it to happen...
-
Lol, when playing bubba you can get bbq and chilli, plus 2 chilli addons, plus survivor pudding for dessert.
Add a bit of post game salt and you have quite a good meal there. Could use more veggies for a healthy meal though. -
Ping isnt really an internet speed thing, it depends what is going on on your network.
If you have a 3mbps connection and someone is downloading at 2.9mbps, that doesnt leave much for you to qork with and you wont have a stable connection.
Also you can have a fast but spotty internet or network. Everything will be light speed fast except for random hickups tjat will make you lag in a game but wont affect when watching youtube for example.
Also, since the killer gosts, if the killers computer has disc or ram problems, this can make the server lag. -
@not_Queen
I dont think anyone minds having the option to opt-in to giving you guys the info you mentioned in the news post. The problem people have is simply that it was done without prior knowledge and consent. Most people wont mind giving up some info to helo make the game better and more successful, but it need to be done in a way where people can opt out of it and where they are informed of exactly what info is taken and where it will go.
The same way people dont mind putting security cameras around their house, but dont really like it when they find out theres a bunch of camera in their yard for unknown reason.
Information, consent, and communication are the key things to help foster and keep good relationships. With partners, friends, or clients. -
Dude, range is quite small, only the best ones can really help, the others you have to stand in front of the locker to see them, you might as well open it at that point regardless.
Those are very or ultra rare, so you dont get that many of them. -
Wraith boi.
He must be badass to walk around with stick legs like that...
-
Camping with the wraith isnt even the same as normal camping.
Its basically setting up an ambush. Put the bait and wait nearby for the prey to fall for it.
You dont have to go for the save, you did, and the killer predicted you would come and planned ahead. -
Notqueen confirmed that none of the hatch changes will be coming to the live version for now.
-
The cosmetics are supposed to be a way to support the game. They are more donations than anything. And for donating you cool little cosmetics for it.
As for it being too expensive, thats just your opinion, some people wont find it too expensive. Its like any market, if people buy it then its not too expensive. If no one buys it then the price will lower.
Also, there will probably be sales once in a while where you can get skins or cells for less. If you dont want to pay as much you will have to wait for those. If you want them earlier you will have to pay the full price. -
Np i just want 10% of the profits! MwahahahahahahaRuniver said:@Spiritbx said:
Some brown addons shouldnt be a thing in the bloodweb. They should just be reuseable. That way, what you get from the bw are actual upgrades instead of just basic things.I really like this idea.
I'm gonna transmit it to devs directly if you don't mind. -
Aww, well at least its being worked on. Hopefully that means that they will give us a solution to the hatch standoff soon.not_Queen said:None of the hatch changes.
