Wow. Oh no. A hex perk has a chance to stay the whole game now. What will we ever do. It’s not like we can run maps, detectives hunch and small game. We can’t waste time doing dull totems either right. Why would we want to do totems when we could just do gens and complain about a hex perk.
-
Also medkits.

That’s exactly where I am right now.

Besides 60fps just sticking an SSD in your ps4 would literally booste your performance.
I had a SSD in my older PS4. It did increase performance but mainly for the console. Pressing the home button during game and navigating the menus with the game in the background. Copy times reduced. As far as dead by daylight it wasn’t much of a difference.

I prefer Billy over Oni. I don’t understand all the focus on Billy’s nerf. The overheat isn’t a big deal as it doesn’t happen often enough. The addon nerf sucks but luckily I only ever play killers with brown or yellow addons. So the addon nerf didnt affect me so much.
I don’t understand why anyone would pick Oni of Billy. Billy can travel the map better than any other killer and also use it to insta down. How does it not get better than that. Sure Oni can do the same but ONLY when he has his power. As soon as he picks someone up to hook it’s gone and he cant just rush to another gen across the map after a hook like Billy could.
People trying to block injured survivor? Chainsaw.
People hiding behind pallet?
Chainsaw zone and break pallet.
People scared off chainsaw?
Free easy and quick pallets gone from the map.
The only thing I see Oni has over Billy is no crashing into things with his power and blood tracking.
However I hit 95% of my chainsaw hits so I don’t really bump into anything so I’d rather have my power all the time than have an easier to use power for a limited time. The blood tracking isn’t a big deal for me either as you can hear injured survivors or follow scratch makes, blood pools, crows, BBQ chili, bright clothes and ETC.
I also play on console so Oni’s “flick” isn’t as easy to use on a controller. I do fairy we’ll controlling Billy’s chainsaw on a controller.

That’s some nice investigating and work you put into this.
I play on PS4 Pro and noticed the game runs so good with the recent hotfix update. It’s not 60FPS like on PS5 but it’s way better than before. If this is the reason it’s running better then I hope they don’t change it back. Some maps and killers that were laggy to play before are now playable. Again not as good as PS5. But way better than before. I’m hoping to get a PS5 soon mainly for DBD but also for the upcoming releases.

Probably lazy coding. How do we stop people changing loadouts when 15 secs left? Stop everything from working
But it doesn’t stop everything it just stops you from readying or unreadying up.
-
Are you referring to the spies of the shadows perk
-
When they brought Ghostface to Dbd they only had the rights to the mask. The movies and characters is owned by a different company. So since the mask is all we had they could not bring the map and characters from the movie owned by someone else.
-
I play on PS4 so I just turn off the messages. That was the best thing I’ve ever done. Too bad it affects other games. Some messages on other games are funny to get from how angry people get.
-
I did it first game. My method was....
Hawkins Map Offering. (TONS of pallets to waste)
Put on Windows of Opportunity (Auras of pallets.)
Try your best to walk past the pallet then back track and quickly drop to stun. It’s all timing so if you get a really smart killer you might not get the stun.

Freddy not being in the PS5 version other then a license issue. makes no sense at all. As someone who has all the DLC on PS4 and PC. It should not be an issue with something I already own. I'm not demanding it change and it may never. However my argument is this. If the license expired the following should not happen.
- I should never have to face Freddy on PS5 period
- Badham preschool should never be a map on PS5
- I should never play with a Quinten on PS5.
The idea that the license expired so I can't play as Freddy or Quinten on PS5 but playing on his themed map and against him is still allowed thanks to cross platform play? He's technically still in the game. so as person who already owns him I should have access to him. I can understand new players not being able to use him but since it's the same account I should be able too.
the same goes for anyone on switch
Yeah pretty dumb. But they did confirm that they are bringing him back. So they did fix the issues it’s probably just waiting for legal reasons to get him back in all new consoles.
I figured the PS4 and PS5 transition would bypass this but apparently not.
-
@TheClownIsKing Do you notice a significant increase in graphic quality?
-
I’ve been waiting to see if will be 60 FPS no matter what on PS5. Including sloppy butcher hits, blood lust and etc
-
In my opinion. I prefer hillbilly over both. I think a 1 hit down and map pressure is very useful. I always use my chainsaw to be everywhere in seconds. The only time I walk is when im in a chase at a loop I can’t use my chainsaw in.
With enough experience you can use your chainsaw in multiple loops. Sure Oni can get easier hits but it’s limited by not always having the power and once you pick up a survivor the power is done.
Hillbilly isn’t much harder to aim his chainsaw. I find it easier than Oni actually but I’m on console so that could be a factor.
As far as blight. I’m on console so he’s very difficult with the low FPS and joystick aiming.

That’s a great idea! I never use moris and play all killers so I think on Monday I’ll just start using my stockpile of unused moris. If anyone asks I’ll just explain to them it’s Mori Monday!

Easy way to counter legion.
-Don’t waste time healing
-Do gens instead.
-5 min ez gen rush

which 3 killers? I'm curious.
Hillbilly, Spirit, and Freddy.
I can play a decent nurse but it’s like playing Russian roulette because I play on PS4 so nurse is already harder and if I get an indoor map or a map that is not optimized and laggy in frames it really sets me back. For now nurse is inconsistent because the bad optimization for some maps.
Hillybilly I find the most fun of the 3 meta killers. Spirit I find so boring to play even though it’s easy downs. Freddy is boring to play to me as well, sometimes it’s too easy as him. Id rather play clown, pig, legion etc.
It just sucks that you have to use meta builds on lower tier killers to have a chance at not getting a 5 minute game.

You can play other killers you just refuse to. Red rank survivors aren't anything to get scared of.
How am i refusing to. I play all killers. I have every killer in the game with all perks maxed in every killer. I played a clown match and by the time I got to the other side of the map 2 Gens done. I down someone. The next gen done. 1 hook 3 gens. All survivors in red ranks have to do is seperate and a killer with no mobility can’t do anything about it. My SWF group use this tactic and killers cannot win. We don’t even use any items.
That same clown game two people had insta heal syringes and 3 people had adrenaline. So the pressure I was doing to hit multiple survivors is gone in seconds. There is nothing you can do.

I think it would be 50/50 because he would be harder to see, but you could make his red light bigger than normal. Also they could do something about grass from his perspective. He could have really unique powers also, but that's just my opinion.
As much as I’d love for that to happen. It won’t. BHVR doesn’t have ability to do all that and make it flawless. I’m being realistic and going off by what they can possibly do and the things needed for chucky to be in DBD isn’t something BHVR can easily do. No offense to them.
-
Because when you play him you realize you get revealed by the dumbest reasons. And you see every reveal happen to you.
When you play survivor you sometimes get BS reveals or no reveal. Meanwhile your teammates could be revealing him left and right. So your personal experience is way different and all you know is you can’t reveal him when you actually can.
My tip to you is don’t wait until the last second to hide behind cover because of latency. If the survivor reveals you on their screen you are revealed on your screen even though you had already went behind cover to hide.
I see a lot of people complain about his reveal not working. A lot of people don’t know they have to center him at the middle of the screen, keep it centered for about 0.5 seconds, about the minimum distance to reveal which might also be different than normal because of addons, and that 20% of his body needs to show before you start revealing. If BHVR caved to all these complaints on ghostface not being revealed then ghost face would never have a power.
The reveal is buggy but a lot of it I think has to do with dedicated servers and latency.

I think he could made it, he could be like GF when his crouching..
He would get destroyed at almost every loop of his POV was that small. I’m not saying it’s not possible for BHVR to use a POV that low. But no one would play Chucky if his POV was that low because any piece of grass would be like playing in the corn fields. And loops would hurt him so bad and make him lose survivors so easily.
-
Chucky. He’s too short to play this. Blight suffers already from low POV imagine chucky lol...

they said steam would have discount on Oct 27, but today is Oct 27
It’ll come. Just be patient maybe a few more hours.

The DLC sale has been on for me for days. Except freddy.

I was only able to do this with SWF. I 99 the gen then tell my teammate to run to my gen while being chased and as soon as the heartbeat comes we both pop it and repeat.

Not to be mean but it doesn't take that long, a minute at most and that's if you don't use key shortcuts. With key shortcuts it takes around 40 secs.
On PC would take about 5-10 seconds
Console players WITH key shortcuts would take 4-8 times as long compared to PC.
-
I thought the description meant you can’t exceed 100% healing speed buff as long as you have wel’l make it on. Like with botany and stuff. I had no idea it stacked with other perks
-
Don’t hide. That’s rule #1. Learn how to loop and properly run tiles and use windows and pallets efficiently. If you hide and you THINK the killer didn’t see you but he actually did and hits you. You just gave him a free hit and saved the killer a TON of time. Time is important in this game. The killer is against a clock and their job is to try to delay the survivors as much as he can or completely.
If you see the killer coming towards you. Start running as far as you can away from him to the furthest loop away you can get to safely. This will waste some time for the killer. Compared to having him come directly to your hiding spot which isn’t really hiding you and having him get a free hit within seconds.
If you happen to know which generators your team is at, try running as far as possible from them safely. So that when you eventually go down and get hooked the killer has a lot of walking distance to get through before finding another survivor and possibly giving them enough time to finish the gen before the killer gets there.
If you like the stealth play style then perks like spine chill, iron will, urban evasion, quick and quiet, dance with me will help you out. But just remember that stealth isn’t the best play style that will help you get better at the game.

New mid Chapter next week, MacMillian reworked and lots of perk changes. PH tweaked.
No MMR yet.
The way you play the new killer is by not playing him. There’s probably a bunch of guides on YouTube now. I don’t play him because he doesn’t seem appealing to play imo. And he’s hard to use with console. I’d rather play nurse on console than blight.
-
I take breaks like this all the time. I have all the killers in the game with every single killer perk in the game all maxed at T3. Some prestiged.
I also have 4 main survivors Claudette, Kate, Steve, and Ace. With every survivor perk in the game all maxed at T3. Only Steve P3. The rest of the survivors have about 4 pages of perks on them.
I don’t have any motivation to put any points on unused survivors so I just keep refreshing my mains blood webs so I won’t cap at 1million. I only play this game now when I have someone to play with or when a new killer comes out to max out the perks on that.
-
Commenting for later.
-
If you don’t even know what rework you’re talking about how are we supposed to tell you the dates.
-
If everyone got slugged that early into the game then the problem isn’t slugging. The problem is the survivors in the game. They made way too much mistakes so early in the game that the killer was able to down them all so early. Or like someone else said, the killer is in the wrong ranks or you are. So either way the survivors would have lost. The killer just ended the game quicker than he would have.

And it doesn't work 95% of the time? Why is it op again?
Don’t use it for avoiding a hit. Use it to extend a loop. The amount of times that I’ve been able to extend a loop by 2-5 mins just because I used a dead hard to make the pallet or window instead of going down.
-
Who knows. I hope so. Otherwise I wasted my money and blood points getting all perks on him maxed out.
-
Dead hard for distance? Just play slinger.

4 DS games are possible, they are not " very likely". Even if that were true, 4 players with DS /=/ DS is used 4 times in a match. If you're gonna say 11 Pops is something that never ever happens (even though 10 Pops is actually not that ridiculous), complaining about 4 DS games as 'very likely' is really stretching it.
Ver Unlikely if you’re in any rank below purple.
-
@Science_Guy said:
Or, maybe... they realized 60 seconds for a perk you can use on-demand 11 times in a game may be excessive in a way 60 seconds for a perk you can use once per match is not.
This post reveals one thing about the OP: salt.
Except it’s a 4v1 game so it’s not 1 time. It’s 4 times because all 4 survivors run it. Even when 1 person has it you still have to play around it and assume everyone has it.
If the killer gets to use pop 11 times it doesn’t matter that he has pop because they already won the game a while ago. DS gives you 1 minute of invincibility per survivor. Two times a game if it’s not used after first unhook. Per survivor. On top of that once DS is used it’s guaranteed at least a minute of another extra chase. If we go by the minimum. That’s 4 minutes survivors can waste of a killers time. Which is equal to 12 uses of Pop. (Pop regresses gen 25% which is equal to 20 seconds of repair time for solo gen). If two people work on it together than it’s just 10 seconds the killer took away per pop. Pops MAX time it can take away from survivors is equal to DS minimum time it can take away from killers. Yet Pop gets nerfed and DS doesn’t.
-
Wow so you only need 13 tiers to complete it and yet you’re “not even close” to finishing it? I think we have different definitions of being close to finishing something.
You also don’t want to use moris otherwise your games will end faster and you’ll get less rift fragments. Which means you’ll need to play more games.
-
You, by yourself, can completely get rid of a killers power without doing anything but looking at them. I think it’s a fair trade.
-
They don’t kick generators because they waste time doing that when they can be chasing survivors. Like you said the regression is so small there is no point in wasting your time to kick it. I think you make a good point. Increase the regression speed but I’m afraid even at your max 20% increase that it still won’t be enough because all it takes is a tap to make it all meaningless.
Let’s say they increase the regression to 50% more. In red ranks where survivors are more experienced. They will still do generators in your face while you’re chasing someone else within 15 feet of you. If the killer stops the chase goes to kick the gen. The survivor working on the gen will just run away and wait for the killer to kick the gen and now it comes to which survivor is the killer going to chase now. If he switches survivors then the first survivor being chased will just take over the gen, if the killer decides to continue the chase with the same survivor then the survivor that was doing the gen will just come back and continue the gen and the kick of the gen was useless. Now the killer just wasted time kicking a gen instead of trying to end a chase faster which hurts the killer a lot.
The only time I seem to find kicking a gen somewhat useful besides trying to use pop or surveillance is if a gen has half or more progress on it and Im not in a chase and I know for sure no one is near it. If 2 or more people are there it’s a complete waste of time. This situation is rare because as a killer you always want to be in a chase and trying to down someone.
-
Once you know the map then you know where the gens, pallets, and window are. This perk of more for new players.
-
I don’t think they should go down in one hit normally but at least let the exposed effect work on it.
-
I think so but I usually just check the days left by hovering over the Tome Levels.

It’s Center now? I was so used to gauging it with my shoulder. Center it is then. Thanks 🙏
Yeah. When I started playing years ago I wanted it to be the center because it’s easier to know where exactly I was aiming but once I got used to it I actually prefer the old style since it doesn’t require moving my camera so much from where I normally had it from just playing.
