Not even close
Deathslinger is a blast to play
-
One day i will learn not to google weird words
-
Deathslinger has some advantages over huntress
Lower terror radius and no wind up are the biggest ones
Compared to the huntress with her 40 meters (i think) lullaby that's a huge difference. And no windup is pretty bonkers. He can get hits on loops Huntress can only dream of
Also reloading after every shot beats having to go to lockers imo
Not nececarely saying he's better then Huntress but saying Huntress is better then him in every way is just plain wrong
-
Or you know they just released a superfun killer to play and queue's are taking longer cause more people want to poon some fools
-
No offence to you op but after reading to some of your answers you might want to rethink the statement "probably one of the least politically correct persons on this forum"
-
The first gens mean nothing
As long as you can defend the last ones. It doesn't matter how fast the first ones went

LOL. Survivor uses Dead Hard and I simply catch them after 3 more seconds. The best is, when you use Dead Hard, it gives you the exhaustion, but the Killer still gets you in the last bit of a second
People are mostly talking about dead hard when it's used for distance
Dead harding used for I-Frames isn't that bad
-
Deathslinger for sure
He's so fun to play
-
I noticed this neat interaction too.
It depends a lot on you finding your obsession though
Nemesis doesn't work at all for me as I find you never get pallet stunned as this killer
-
Rofl, gotta admire the dedication that person had to go through all that just to get a picture if them 4k'ing xD
-
You could say that after 20 minutes the EGC begins like it would if you closed the hatch
-
Let's not forget those toolboxes also let you sabotage which is pretty busted right now
By the start of next week I think Lobbies with 2 or more toolboxes will still be dodged to hell and back
-
Yeah he's a ton of fun
I agree he's not that strong but when you have fun even when losing does that really matter

Because Deathslinger isn't Huntress.

DUDE
DUDE!!!!!!!
TOTALLY WORKED
The fact that something named GarbageCollectionSettings actually worked is kinda funny
-
People aren't surprised it got nerfed
They are surprised it got nerfed so hard
-
Damn kinda scary how fast misconception spreads
They didn't mention anything in the stream if the deathslinger is going to get changed or not from the ptb
-
Where did they say there would be no changes for him on release?
I didn't catch them saying that
-
Lol He's getting buffed next patch

The wiki is just edited by people like you and me, its not from the devs, they just expect it to be released tomorrow because its in line with previous releases
Yeah i know, but being in line with previous releases is better then nothing so still excitted

The trailer will come with the DLC for sure, but we dont know if it will actually be released tomorrow.
Wiki says it will, but it can be wrong i guess

I play around 2-4 games a day at max so it takes quite a while
I found this game a lot more enjoyable in short burst rather then long sessions of gaming
The frustrations don't tend to build up that way
I very rarely go out of my way for daillies and i've begon dropping bbq and wglf to have more perk viarity
So under normal gameplay around 150k a day so around 7 days
If i really want BP for example new killer coming out then i just go full farm mode playing only killer with bbq and then it goes waaay faster ofcourse
-
You can loop him
You just can't mindlessly loop him. You do have to pay attention to what he's doing
-
I get what you're trying to say
I used to be addicted to the bp bbq gave me as well but i found i'm having a lot more fun dropping it once and a while
Having 4 perkslots to play with is a lot more fun to mix and match rather then always removing a perkslot for bbq
Bbq is bassicly hard mode for killers, you give up a perk slot for more bp, the aura reading isn't that impressive
-
I'm not too sure he's actually straight up worse then huntress
He doesn't have a huge directional lullaby for one
But the biggest difference is that hatchets take time to wind up and survivors hear the huntress get an astma attack when she does
Deathslinger is instant everytime you are in FOV of him for a second he could get you
Let's not forget only a couple of people have played him for a few days of the ptb, not many people were doing hot with huntress too the first few days she was out
I think once some people get really good at him. Instand shots will alloy him to get hits where huntress just can't.
Only time can tell though
-
A lot of killer mind games revolve around showing the red stain one way and then go the other way so removing could make everything a guess instead of a mindgame
I would like to see some work done to it though so it can't shine through walls and can't be edited in the ini files
-
A lot of killers have parenting issues too actually
-
@Poweas said:
That would make him a beast in a chase, lol. Imagine using that combo and just destroying survivors.
Yes it does and works really well
Monitor and abuse + a couple of stacks on stbfl means you can sneak up on people, hit them, and then shoot and reel them back for a quick down
And if you find your obsession, you can shoot him and let the chain break so that they get injured without loaing stacks
Probably one of the better perks on him so far
-
@Demogordon_Ramsay said:
I'm not kidding. Unless you have 6 to 8 tokens of Save the Best for Last, the time required to sabotage a hook with Saboteur is shorter than the time the Killer takes to recover after hitting someone while carrying a Survivor. Meaning that unless you have sufficient stacks on this one particular Perk, a healthy Survivor can literally sabo the hook directly in front of your face and there is nothing you can do. I don't have any footage with me because I wasn't recording at the time, but if someone asks, I could try to get with some friends and record some.
Don't you get a free down if they continue to sabo in your face?
-
@Fibijean said:
I believe it's possible to release the chain before it breaks - I've seen it done, though I haven't done it myself.
Aah should have specified this
If you break the chain manually the survivor doesn't get injured or deepwounded
-
If they are dumb enough to sabo during the pickup animation you can simply walk to another hook and still make it 95% of the time
-
Just vault animation trough the walls
-
Play omega pallet destroyer wraith
Stand cloaked near a breakable wall if possible next to a gen
Wait for survivor to appear
Epic jumpscare by sudden instant wallbreak
-
Honestly the notification from hangman's trick seems pointless, you see the aura's of survivors near hooks you can just see if they are sabotaging right?

Hook respawn speed is completely irrelevant when a hook can be taken down in 2.5 seconds. We do not know how many charges a toolbox will use. Even if it eats them up, the Sabo perk no longer has a speed penalty. It has a cooldown, which again is irrelevant.
Here is what it comes down to. A killer picks up a survivor and heads to a hook. Another survivor can see what hook the killer is headed to and the killer has 2.5 seconds to either get to that hook or completely change course. If the killer does not make it to the hook before it is sabotaged, which it probably will be, the survivor will likely wriggle free. If the killer changes course to a new hook, the survivor also has a decent chance of getting free.
To your last point, no. You can look at my post earlier in the thread. People expressed concerns about the Ruin nerf prior to PTB. They proved to be accurate. Devs did not care and went ahead with the changes anyway.
If the sabo perk cooldown is the same as AnyMeans Necesary it will mater a lot
What most likely is going to happen is that you will go to a hook see a survivor sabotaging it and that you will drop the survivor to chase the other one
You lost a hookstate but put pressure on 3 survivors or 2 if the downed one has unbreakable
It's really not going to be that big of a deal
-
Way to look at one change and ignore the rest
Hooks respawn faster, only a small amount of hooks can be sabotaged with a toolbox and 2.5 sec of sabotage means that you will most likely be able to get a hit on the sabateur too
Can we wait with the riot untill we actually know the numbers and playtested with it
-
Don't forget a bunch of changes happened. Everybody is looking blindly to the 2.5 sec speed but seem to be forgetting the rest
Hooks respawn faster: could drasticly change how powerful sabo will be. If it's 10 sec just drop the survivor, smack the saboteur and proceed to hook again. I'm going to guess something around 30 sec probably
Limited amount of hooks per toolbox: once again can make a huge difference, if it's for example only 2 then they can only sabo so much hooks and aren't using their toolboxes on gens
Saboteur had a cooldown: if it's the same as Any Means Nececary then it probably happen just a couple of times each map
Also 2,5 sec will probably garanty in most cases that the killer will be able to hit the survivor doing the sabo action, so you can probably then drop the survivor your carrying and chase the other one.
That means one slugged one chased and one having to pick up the first one unless unbreakabill. Bassicly allowing survivors to trade a hookstate for more pressure for the killer
I think it will be interresting and depending on the numbers could make the game more tactical for survivors and killers alike
-
In seconds sounds more like it will be 2-3 seconds tops
This will be a huge buff to sabotaging
-
Honestly every tech where players phase through the character model should go, i understand the killer losing collision after hitting but there is no reason for not having collision during any other action tbh
-
Exhaustion sprint burst that activates when you blind a killer
Some more ways to apply oblivious would be cool too, maybe a hex that gives all survivors in a 30 meter radius of totems oblivious
-
Won't they need your adress to do something like that?
As long as you keep your personal info to yourself there's no real issue right?
-
I really like it tbh, it's very different from other maps
-
There are realistic counters
That you don't want to bother doing them is your problem
-
*evil european laughter*
-
We can't show to much extensive gore
Think of all the 13 year olds that play this game

Those odds aren't even remotely comparable.
The bugs are inconsistent, people will get inconsistent results. In your case, 2 a day if you're unlucky. In someone else's case, it can be way more.
Well yeah i am speaking from my own experience ofcourse, outside if the occasional stream i watch of other people where it also very rarelly happens people are forced to dc
I can't speak for everyone ofcourse
What i also noticed from my own gameplay is that the number of crybaby DC's has been reduced drasticly so sorry but for me the change is amazing

Idk how you drew this conclusion. Does the game wait an ample amount of time before serving you your next game-breaking bug now?
Personal experience mostly
In my 800 hourish in dbd i got stuck in a generator once, i got stuck in a pallet maybe 2 times, didn't need to dc for those even
It can happen once a day maybe twice a day if you're unlucky, once you claim 3 times a day i'm going to start raising my eyebrow and wonder if it isn't your hardware not being able to handle the game
Sure it's possible but so is winning the lottery twice in a row
-
The real question is wich one of the killers would win in a dance off
-
*stares in the distance*
*little demons pestering me, robbing me of my senses. Always seem to be in reach but are ungraspable. Please demons just take your victory. But they won't ... won't stop. Endless torment... click click click click*

Getting stuck indefinitely in lockers as survivor
Killers getting stuck inside generators
"Stuck being healed" bug
Unable to bleedout or be picked up as survivor
Rank failed to update error
Infinite loading screens still causing penalties even though they're not supposed to according to the devs
Dedicated servers still wigging out and kicking people off randomly
-- You know, just to name a few of the game breaking problems that happens from time to time.
Keypoint being from time to time
Sure they happen once in a while but never so frequently that the dc penalties get to high numbers
Assuming you don't also dc for other reasons ofcourse
