There probably will be a pretty big drop this month. With the event being kinda lackluster.
While the new skins are amazing that's bassicly it and not everyone can affort to spend money on cosmetics in a game.
That said it probably won't die. Most of the playerbase will probably return with the new chapter once they once again realised there is no other game like this out there.
It is quite a noticable drop and i suspect console is probably doing even worse with the performance issues
-
Have you tried validating your game cache?
I do that every patch and there is always something missing.
Ever since i started doing that regulary I've been having barelly any bugs or crashes

A perfect example was when Pig got her $15 skin. It was the only $15 skin in the game. The excuse was that they had to do "more" with that skin than others, thus is "justified" the price increase.
Some time later, we started seeing $15 "legendary" skins that's literally just a reskin with nothing unique about them. No new sounds or whatever. Knowing that, this is just an escalation of prices. No doubt players gobbled it up whole and BHVR's probably confident that they don't have to do anything special about "legendary" skins for players to buy 'em.
And stop with the "its optional" argument. Its so #########. We're not getting macrotransactions pushed in our faces all the time because its an "optional" thing. BHVR don't want it to be "optional". They want you to crack and start spending. NO game out there with macrotransactions added them into the game with the mindset that it'll be "optional".
The legendary skins were never advertised as more then reskins. Not their fault people expected more then advertised.
And i will not stop with the it's optional argument cause I am right. It is all optional. You finding it ######### does not make it any less true.
There is little to no gameplay advantage to get with microtransactions. They are litterally purelly there to support BHVR
Ofcourse they want it to sell cause once again Shocker the company wants to make money.
If you can't resist any shiny thing dangling in front of you then that's you having a spending problem not BHVR being "greedy"

Of course things can be worse. They always can. That doesn't mean I should thank BHVR for 'only' going this far. They're pushing the limit, little by little. There's an allegory about boiling a living frog in water that perfectly represent this situation.
How are they pusing the limit? They allow original characters to be purchased with in game currency. They even allowed licenced perks to be purchested with in game currency
Every single transaction is purely optional. So yes you should be thanking the devs for all the ways you can get things in this game with shards and how you aren't screwed if you don't pay for microtransactions.
God forbid a company trying to make money

It was. BHVR is continuing doing what they do best, making the game worse for everyone via macrotransaction bullshit.
Lol the only macrotransactions in this game are pure aesthetics.
You can call the devs on a lot. Greedy is not one of it though. They could get away with so much worse.
-
Problem is no matter how you do it, it can be abused.
Say a 30 minute timer.
After the timer EGC starts? Why do gens as survivor juat hide for 30 minutes
Survivors get sacrificed after 30 minutes? Why chase survivors just stick to the nearest gens amd hard patrol them till they die
Your suggestion of punishing anyone? "God he's playing spirit screw that person I'm hiding 30 minutes so he gets punished. I'll just play something else after this match but not untill i ruined this person's game"
See where the problem is?
I do think that allowing killers to open the gates at any time would be a pretty good solution to this problem.
But then you'll get those matches where killers open the gates after 3 gens popped in 3 minutes and they don't realise that the first couple of gens really don't matter.
A better afk crow system would also work but that would probably take quite some time for something that relativally a minor problem
-
BHVR Devs bravely puts a stop to local bully. They trully deserve our praise
-
You shouldn't be playing online games with a bum connection.
With your intention or not you are still ruining the experience for 4 other players. You should probably find something else to do untill you can fix it. I know it sucks I had to leave this game too for several weeks cause internet troubles but it's really the best.
Not only are you messing up the game for the other players but you can't really be enjoying it if you're stressed it could go out at any moment right?
-
I wish they could make the safe unhook bonus global. Just 500 bp for every survivor.
Would make a lot of survivors also play more smart instead of greedilly rushing the hook to get the bp.
-
I mean there is not much to try. They just shifted the extra time it used to take to heal to the gens.
It bassicly stayed the same. Not nerfed like many people are saying. But not really buffed either

Really? AFAIK they lessened the skill checks that were affected by it and did nothing to compensate. Smells like a nerf to me, but feel free to correct me if I´m wrong. Fixing the bug that showed Lullaby before the first stack wouldn´t pass as a "buff".
How is not telling anymore that it excist before it has effect not a buff? Especially when the nerf you are talking about is the most insignificant thing ever.
Who outside of below 10 hours players missed madness or jiggsaw skillchecks because of lullaby?
The "nerf" is meaningless, the bugfix fixes one of the issues with the perk.
It's a buff, not a big one but calling it a nerf is ludicrous
-
@Slashstreetboy said:
Yes, they nerfed it. Same with Lullaby. They finally gave in to the overwhelming wave of complaints about them and addressed these severe balance problems.
Maybe now they will have time to take a look on the niche problems that almost no one has an issue with. DS, Undying, Object for example.
... lullaby got buffed.

Uhh the full perk description is still not a good perk, and the full change wasn't documented in the patch notes either, wanna keep being snarky?
It stops the recovery of exhaustion. It turns dead hard into don't touch a gen for 40 seconds or only get 2 uses of the perk
The 5 seconds it applies itself is irrelivant. That it stops the recovery without any way to stop it other then being hooked or stop doing your objective is huge
-
I'm just going to pull a 500 IQ countermove and stop hitting them so they can't activate it
-
Ow did other perks get changed too? The patch notes don't seem to be out yet
-

Faking a hit using my Wailing Bell says hi.
A.k.a. If someone with that Perk faces me, it's a nerf.
Faking a hit doesn't do anything if the no death mither hard allowed them to reach the pallet.
Would be a nerf overal though. Except for the name.

The difference with Fortnite is that Epic will most likely have fixed the bug before most people even realise it exists.
With DbD players get a 2 year window to find and abuse it.
What bug that was exploited and got people banned has lasted 2 years in this game?
-
The above, all perks or abilities that affect terror radius affect perks that work with terror radius.
Really funny with Dark Devotion as they take the terror radius with them.
Combined with Coulrophobia guarantees the slower healing for 30 seconds.

I. Rules of Conduct
While participating in the Game, you also agree to comply with certain rules of conduct that govern your use of the Game (“Rules of Conduct”), for example you may not:
[About 15 other Bullet Points that don't matter for this specific thing]
• Exploit errors in design, features which are not documented, and/or bugs to gain access that would otherwise not be available or to obtain any competitive advantage.
[Another 3 Bullet Points that don't matter]
@ThePolice You agreed to this so...
This, if you don't want to be banned exploiting then stick to singleplayer games

I mean you have to dedicate your life to Any thing to be the best. But good nurse players wreck just look at the hexy tournament
You mean the tournament where survivors were only allowed yellow items and addons and only 2 of a given perk per team?
Again not saying she's bad. Just overrated

She is that good. You just need to have LOTS of practice
If a killer only becomes that good if you dedicate your life to it then they were never that good to begin with.
Don't get me wrong she's very strong when you get the hang of her. But i do feel people over exaggerated her power way to much. Every killer becomes a beast with enough practise. Look at Otz's trapper.
If Nurse really became an unstoppable monster with enough practise then more people would bite the bullet and learn her. She's the S-tier with the lowest pick and kill rate.
To be fair. Automatticly putting her on top of every tier list is a meme at this point.
Just my oppinion of course
-
First step, lower your expectations. Nurse is not really the SSSS+ tier people make her out to be. If you hope to effortlessly mow down experienced survivors then you're setting yourself up for dissapointment unless you plan to start plating for a living.
Second step: play, play, play. Practise makes perfect. Try and get a lot of aura perks at first to get the sneaky hits in.
Try to be patient. Don't instantly use your secons blink but take a second to look what the survivor is doing.
-
Am i the only one who wouldn't delete any killer from the game?
They are all amazing one way or another
-
Never, they are like elixers in rpg's
If you drop god pallet you brought shame upon your ancestors. No matter if you escape after or not

It could work like this:
If a killer genuine camps (so, doesn't stay around chasing*/looking for nearby survivors) the hooked survivor relocates and their timer is reset. I'd go as far as to say that by the second time in a row (looking at you @Sonzaishinai ) the killer stops seeing the new hooks aura, and be the third time the survivor's timer resets to the first phase.
*chasing in this case means genuinely engaging in a chase, not just hitting them and then returning to the hook.
I think this could work.
Sure, it's not perfect, but if you are looking for something that cannot be exploited... that's impossible.
You're only making my game morr interresting. I would equip as many blindness perks and addons as possible.
Without the initial hook the survivors wouldn't know where the hook went either. Then a high mobility killer. And on top of that if i get it 3 times the progress resets and i can keep doing it.
On a serious note probably wouldn't be a good idea. I can already see me at the end of the game being hooked near the gate only to teleport to the hook furthest from any gate. It would hurt survivors more then anything.
The difference with PH's cages and your proposal is that PH starts with a relocated cage and other killers would already be near the hook to relocate it.
-
Tbh i would just make it a game to see how many times i can relocate a survivor.
-

Your idea really is the last thing they can do with exhaustion for survivors. Other than speed, dodging, and stunning the killer, removing scratchmarks (or other tracking) is really the last thing that can be done.
Not really?
More action speed, making an item not consume charges for a set time, allowing to ignore the entitiy blockers one time
There's a ton of things still possible. Not nececarrely a good idea but still a ton of options remaining
-
I second this, not many survivors realise this but when you have those that realise they can complete about half a gen with 2 person before having to mend makes it really hard to get any pressure as Legion
-
Depents a bit on how they even it out.
If solo's get more information then i would be all for giving killers a huge QoL buffs.
More FOV is the first thing that comes to mind. Ability to set how much the aim assist helps you. Preventing the loss of collision at some places so survivors can't "tech" you by litterally walking through you. More keybind options so you can avoid situations that you open a locker instead of picking up a survivor in front of it.
Some small QoL things like that would go a long way
-
God if a survivor escaped against me usibg that i wouldn't even be mad
That's amazing
-
Someone watched a certain video from somebody that's obviously playing against newer killers

Being honest I feel like safe unhooking needs its own tutorial in game just so survivors will stop unhooking me before a spirit/blight/billy can even phase walk/dash away.
Also vice versa: When I have to defend the hook when survivors swarm it I generally apologize to the survivor who I wasn't allowed to leave when they are on the hook that their teammates wouldn't let me leave because I do generally feel bad about it but what am I expose to do?
The fast unhooking is because of it's one of the most rewarding bloodpoint bonus survivors get with the least amount of effort.
Not only do you get the bloodpoints but when the killer comes there is a injured survivor near you that's a better target then you
And then you can justify your actions cause the killer is a filthy tunneler and camper
9/10 if i get camped it's because the killer caught on people are getting unhooked 10 seconds after hook and they decide just to stay. After all why look for survivors if they come right to you.
-
Note that this includes all the low ranking games where survivors all die.
Also for those wondering
6.765.882/(50,627,522+6,765,882) =~ 0,1179
So the percentage he showed for the stats shown is right

Might be changed when get around to changing Myers

But The killer dont care it won't stop the killer from babysitting awarding more bps to survivors. The killer needs a punishment of some kind I think.
Better to reward the survivors for playing right then to punish the killer who obviously doesn't care about winning anymore
-
"I love the killer gameplay in this game for the very simple reason that you always win."
Oof that was a rough awakening
These kind of matches are nightmare fuel for newer players and the most fun you can have when you get more experienced.
Still think the killer should be able to open the door at any time tbh
-
Honestly couldn't you approuch BHVR to get an official release? This really looks like something i would pay for
-
Tried and abused by survivors.
Imo a better way would be to give more bp to an unhooker the closer the hooked one is to the next state.
That will lessen the insta flocking to a hook that makes camping work and survivors need more bp anyway

If you don't like looping then you would probably be better off with another game as it is the game.
Getting chased is THE gameplay of survivors and looping is the best and tbh only way to do it.
In the old days with infinites and pallet vacuum you had a point.
Nowadays complaining about looping is like complaining about getting zoned in a fighting game. Sure it's frustrating when you don't know what to do aģainst it but when you do know it's not that bad

Lol man I was hoping for that too, what do you think, will he come to dbd?
I would love him too. But there is no denying that it would take some effort to make him work.
That said Blight has shown to be really good so while it's his biggest complaints it does show that a low pov is not as detrimental as first thought if you have a power that can make up for it
-
The next licenced killer to be released is Chucky so they obviously messed up and gave blight his pov.
No i don't have evidence for this but i can dream damnit
-
If all survivors use the crouch button to spell out Happy Halloween in morse code on the 31th oktober a spooky face will appear in the sky.
You can replicate this by going in a 4 man swf and turning your internal clock to the 31th october
-
Thank you, don't have time yet to watch the actual stream.
This is super informative
-
How is it false advertisment if you can see the actual model before you buy it?
Do you call out mcdonald too for having their burgers look better in picture then in real life?
-
No mither and self care always seems like an obvious one to me.
-
Especially Frank's mixtape and stab wound studies are beyond useless.
Some addons like oblivious for x seconds after hitting a survivor who's highlighted by killer frenzy
Or a speed boost for every survivor in deep woundd
