Yeah would be nice to have it available, despite many saying it's super duper toxic. But whenever this is brought up the devs have always said they have no plans to add it.
A preemptive GG often stifles the toxicity they were about to type out in my experience.

She got 15% longer dash, 25% less miss time and 30% faster crouch and uncrouch... How is that microscopic? Those are quite some big numbers dude...
Her dash is still the worst chase power in the game, survivors just run as soon as you lower and you lose distance
-
That rating means nothing and should be removed entirely
Devs never get these things right. Take Tekken for example, Lei in Tekken is listed as "very hard" because he has a massive movelist, but that's exactly why he's easy. Lei players get free rank-ups because no normal player knows what the FRICK Lei is doing and thus can't react to him properly.
Pyramid Head is listed as very hard, but the learning curve to his weapon isn't bad at all. anyone can easily pick this guy up if they've used projectiles in shooter games before.
Trapper is listed as easy but he's actually a nightmare to play past noob ranks and he has to budget his power like no other.
-
Pyramid Head and Nemesis
They are anti-loop done in a really cool way and their powers are mind games on their own
-
Comp mode would be DOA with half-hour queues
Online games have learned that splitting up the queues is a net loss for player engagement.
-
What is with these profile picless survivor mains throwing pity parties like the devs didn't kill 3-gens and camping

Why?
I'm not saying I'm a great killer. I know I handicap myself by playing nice.
It doesn't change what I experience as a survivor nor what I see on streamers, or what my kids experience in their games...etc.
I just don't see how my killer rank has anything to do with the current meta strategy killers use. Or why it would be bothersome to say.
Do you not believe tunneling and proxying is meta currently?
So you admit you don't play killer and call it the side of "easy wins" despite it being 6000x more stressful than survivor. I can bring a key and Urban Evasion around for a 100% escape rate, that's an easy win.
-
Add 3 pallets to it
-
@Clee said:
That's the game now, Lethal to get first hook, then proxy and tunnel to get full advantage of your gen slowdown perks. Ggs, 4k, EZ
You see it in our games.
You see it happen to streamers.
If you want to win, play killer, if you want to have fun, find a new game.
Show me your killer levels

Yes because I absolutely can't stand Yamaoka, Swamp, Lery's or Crotus (guess what they all have in common) and if I get any of those 4 too much I will play offerings to avoid them.
Good main buildings?
Someone else can just as easily send you to Lery's, that happens all the time

It happens every outdoor match for me. And if I don’t land a few then gens start flying. If she is 110 because she can hit over loops then make her 115 because 7 indoor maps remove that ability and small high wall loops you are forced to m1
record yourself cross-mapping RN

Uhhhh her power lol 😂 that’s why she is 110 because she can hit cross map shots 🤣
She's 110 because she hits over pallets, not because she can Call of Duty Bankshot people, that doesn't usually happen

Go ahead and explain how you would make her able to land cross map shots on indoor maps? Oh and let me know how she can land orbitals on indoor maps too! I’m very curious to know how you would do that.
Who said she was supposed to reliably cross-map?
-
I'm glad they just did that instead of gutting the killer. BHVR's balance choices are a complete diceroll so my heart jumped when I heard about Clown changes. And they buffed the yellow bottle which is something I've personally been wishing for for a long time.

They literally JUST revealed the average kill rate, how are people still saying this game is survivor sided, when the official stats show that the average kill rate is above 50%, meaning that more than 2 survivors get killed on average,
Ranks 20s inflate the killrate a lot and that should be obvious
-
New content?
I mean I wanted Ultimate Weapon nerfed and Knight removed from the game but BHVR takes forever to get to obvious glaring problems. Hence why they nerfed Pig yet again instead of dealing with the fact that Billy turns like Oni now.
-
@Aven_Fallen said:
Yeah, 90 seconds timer. Not busted at all.
Seriously, the Slowdown she provides is the same as before. The traps are less lethal. But Pig will have better chases with the Buffs to the rest of the Kit.
The last part of your comment was an absolute lie because the buffs are microscopic
-
You DC vs both my mains
-
It's a nightmare on Gideon and a non-issue on Midwich. You need a map offering to run this combo reliably and a lot of killers would just Alt-f4 when sent to pallet heaven

People have an irrational dislike of basekit perks, in my opinion. The only perks that have become basekit recently - Borrowed Time and Shadowborn - never should've been perks to begin with.
Kindred should exist, but there's no denying that coordinating unhooks is a big flaw with solo queue. A brief showcase of where your team are, similar to how you're shown the hook survivor's aura and a slugged survivor's aura, is consistent and reasonable without being broken. Kindred would still be the perfect solo queue perk because it'd extend that aura reading and show you where the killer's going, making it partially basekit would just be alleviating the current problem.
There's a big big difference between being willing to adapt to solo queue by equipping one of a number of perks, and needing to run specific perks because their value is a huge gap in the basekit. Solo queue survivors should be willing to run useful perks like Bond or Empathy, but they shouldn't need to run Kindred specifically.
they made BT basekit and now zero people run BT despite the fact that it more than doubles the endurance. I Don't think survivor mains would be willing to equip it because in their eyes, they already have it so it's a wasted slot.

Nerf Pig, buff Blight, enforce meta

@jesterkind said:
The first thing we definitely need to acknowledge is what we are trying to fix. BHVR would have to be the single best game developers on the planet and across history in order to fix problems that are just inherent to queuing up solo in team games, and I don't think it's too cruel to say that they just aren't that good.
So, what do I mean by that? I mean that you're always going to run the risk of losing because your teammates make stupid decisions (or because they're memeing, or they're drunk, or they're distracted, whatever the reason), and there's no way of guaranteeing that teammates who are of the same skill level as you will have the same priorities or understanding of what they should be doing. These things cannot be fixed and it's just how solo queue works in every game that has a solo queue.
With that in mind, I'd rather look at the problems that are DBD specific. Right now, in my view, that basically boils down to one thing: Information exchange. Not communication, that's a different concept, I'm talking about the specific information SWF have access to that solo queue don't which makes a meaningful difference to quality of experience. That distinction is necessary, because it wouldn't easily be possible to give solo queue all the information that gives SWF an advantage and it might not even really be a good idea to begin with.
Long preamble, we get it, skip to the conclusion! So, I'd suggest the following:
- Survivors can see their teammate's perks in the loading screen, and mid-match in the "pause" menu. Note that it wouldn't be a good idea to let people see perk builds in the lobby, that would escalate lobby dodging.
- Partial basekit Kindred effect. Partial both because it shouldn't include the killer aura, and because the survivor auras should only last for somewhere between five and ten seconds. Enough to not be fully flying blind without Kindred, but also not too much to render Kindred obsolete.
- Possibly a ping system. I'm on the fence about this because it'd be by far the most tonally different change to make, but simple phrases like "I'm going for the unhook" would really substantially improve solo queue when survivors feel inclined to use them. Since that last part isn't guaranteed, this should never be the only change.
- Carefully curated specific perk/item buffs that increase teammate information without granting any extra to SWF. Examples: Aftercare losing its deactivation trigger, and the Key item gaining the ability to read survivor auras by default. If solo queue players bring these perks/items, they should feel more substantial.
- Last and mostly least, generic and non-specific improvements to matchmaking and backfill, etc etc. None of us have the data to be specific about this point but it does matter.
TL;DR, info gain is the main DBD-specific issue with solo queue and is where I'd look for solo queue improvements.
I like most of what you said but I would hate to see more basekit perks. Kindred is the perfect SoloQ perk and making it basekit just means more people with meta perks. They know they're soloQ, they have access kindred because it's a generic perk, they should be willing to equip it. The devs shouldn't hold people's hands so eagerly.

Every single killer has above 50% kill rate.
it's very easy to get 4ks as a noob killer fighting noob survivors, everyone knows this. The most common demographic of any online game are the casual noobs that download on game pass.

He's getting 2 more bottles basekit, Antidote clouds activate quicker and their buff lasts longer, and the visual distortions for survivors are being removed.
Thank god they're good changes. Personally I'm fine with them just making antidote activate quicker, because it is pretty inconvenient to use at a lot of loops.
I was worried they were gonna pull a Freddy.

They just nerfed STBFL, which is a low-tier killer staple, so I will hear none of this

not when there's 65 get out of jail free cards for survivors

Anti-loop killers are what makes killers good and viable againts good Survivors.
What you are asking in other words is "I want killers to have more counterplay and be more easy to win againts". You would remove all S,A and like majority of B tier killers.
The best killers are high-mobility killers. Pyramid Head and Deathslinger aren't viable at competitive levels.
-
The killers that straight-up ignore the loops and give a middle finger to the survivors are becoming a huge problem. The Knight and Alien are especially bad cases, there are many situations where the survivor simply has to get hit no matter what.
what are the survivors playing the game for? What is the appeal of survivor, doing generators? No, it's looping. The more killers are able to shut it down with a button press, the less reason survivors have to play.
-
your personal attacks are a lot more embarrassing for you than me
and I don't really need to defend my position because BHVR understands it perfectly. you can't force people to keep playing a game they don't want to play, they will just switch games if the game is too hard on them.

0 people ever have been banned for killing themselves on hook because 50% of survivor mains would be gone if that were to happen

If they can't stay for an entire match; They should not queue up.
'I bought the game' does not give someone carte blanche to ruin for it others by quitting mid-match. And I feel bad for anyone who can't figure this out, or know what good sportsmanship is.
this isn't a job and no one has an obligation to play, you can just as easily do the same thing and fast forward to the next match
-
In what universe should you be able to report and punish someone for leaving a video game that they paid for to play at their leisure?
-
It had to be temporary, 2 separate game modes would just mean longer queue times for both and that leads to less engagement
Lights out itself was just a mechanical experiment
-
Ironically I'd rather go up against any of the S tiers than any of the B+ tiers
-
If by "broken" you mean "alright"
the only people that get GOOD good use out of it are hyper-mobiles (No, legion is not hypermobile because he's kinda faster in frenzy, to use that power for map mobility is to give it up in the actual chase)

- Swamp is also really big and has strong loops with the few it has.
- You would also be wasting a lot of time destroying pallets and it's not small to the point you can't hold w. There also is the fact that bus and shack exist on this map. There is also weird deadzones sometimes though.
- From my experience, it's either complete garbage pallets with a few decent ones or just a good amount of decent pallets with a few bad ones.
But the impassable dead zone of grass on swamp means that if you weren't already close enough, you're going down holding W
I will always be adamant that swamp is complete garbage and needs a ground-up rework, from the fact that it has ps2 graphics to the couple of loops across an ocean from each other
-
- the swamp maps are really just giant dead zones
- wrecker's yard is so tiny you can quickly make it a dead zone
- every pallet on hawkins is garbage
