IMO Whispers is very helpful on Pig, I'd almost say it's needed. If you wanna take advantage of your crouch for more than just a couple loops, Whispers gives you a general idea of when you're close to a survivor, allowing you to take cover and crouch. It's more effective with M&A, but still helpful regardless. Also, I don't ask for advice, more so comment on the fact Ruin was cleansed in 5 seconds and they always suggest running Corrupt Intervention instead.

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/513867#Comment_513867

I haven't tried Bamboozle yet. The Enduring/Spirit Fury combo is nice, but personally I feel like it forces me to not use crouch or ambush as much because without Whispers its hard to gain advantage with it aside from shorter loops.

problem is, there are no emblems that reward stealth. You have to end chases as quickly as possible and spam headtraps on survivors.

I'd suggest running Ruin/Enduring/Spirit Fury/Hex: No one escapes Death and just ignore the crying from people.

Oh also you wanna use last will and crate of gears.

Just keep winning chases and spamming RBTs, its tons of points and usually you get nice kills.

  • Nurse addons need to stay untouched unless they nerf tryhard swf, I shouldnt have to bring moris to compete with tryhard SWF.

    Strong addons have their purpose.

Yet even with that upset balance the global survival rate is still below 50%.

Clearly more killer nerfing needs to be done.

It's an assymetrical horror game, say it with me now ASYMMETRICAL

    A-S-Y-M-M-E-T-R-I-C-A-L

If anything, given this games lack of experienced survivors. I'd say the kill rate is too low :D

Which is probably why they're looking at nerfing pallet looping.

  • You want to play killer? You think its easy?

Go try and climb to rank 1 right now without billy or nurse

    do it.gif

Remember, don't use noed or ruin those are crutches =) Have fuuuuuuuuun

  • 1.What are your feelings from the game? (when you play survivor ofc)

I play an 80/20 split, I usually only play SWF when I play survivor.

2.What killer is the one you like to play against and which is not?

Huntress I like to play against, billy I do not.

3.What is interesting part about playing survivors for you?

Playing against skilled killers and seeing if we can force a 2k on them or a 0k

4.Is the game satisfying for you?

When the challenge feels appropriately suited and I don't feel handicapped, I have a good match

5.If you could change something, what would it be?

I just want a map ban feature, as someone who plays a majority of killer all the time, I  mostly hate certain maps.

6.Do you think that Survivor is easy, medium or difficult to play?

When its you and other good players, its easy.

When it's solo or with bad SWF team mates its like pulling teeth.

7.Which site is, in your opinion, is more interactive?

Killer is far more interactive, a survivor can do gens the entire match and almost never see the killer.

8.Do survivors require considerable skills to be considered good? Otherwise, is the skill cap for survivors high or low?

Looping and survivor game sense are skilled areas, but doing generators is not and thats a huge part of the victory condition for survivor.

Ash has some stats for you TC, stop relying on perks to cover your mistakes.

  • I think healing health states would be a better requirement,

1 charge for healing 1 1/2 health states seems pretty reasonable.

But it has to be OTHER SURVIVORS YOU HEAL

You could just leave, get out. No seriously.

Two doors and a hatch exists, plenty of ways to escape. Leave.

    S-U-R-V-I-V-O-R

    Leave when possible.

  • I just play nurse and do whatever I feel like, and then at the end of the match I tell them to reconsider using MoM for the health of the game.

All I wanna do is play something besides nurse or billy at high ranks, but I'm basically not allowed to do that if I want to feel like im enjoying myself.

  • Now that you've updated the legion's kit to what most people are considering a "healthier" form, is there a possibility of revisiting the thanatophobia buff so that killers have an alternative to running hex:ruin or pop goes the weasel?

  • It's not healthy for the game, removing risk is not healthy.

Turning survivors into tanky little things that act like landmines when you down them...no thanks

  • I'd argue base nurse is ok but I would readily trade her range addons in for just a small base range increase.

  • I mean that's fine and all until my bloodweb is cluttered with maps I'd rather never go to, I have not enough macmillan bones and azarov keys to make up for all the coldwind lockets and strode realty keys I pulled which are just total trash for me.

Offerings are rare enough, getting BAD offerings is just another form of pointless RNG.

    @SamuraiPipotchi said:

They're providing offerings to the entity to sway it's decisions in their favour. It fits with the lore, it's a good gameplay mechanic and the survivors are still dropped into one of the killers realms regardless. Plus most of the realms have multiple maps, so it's not like it's a fine tuned choice.

Besides, killers have just as much influence over maps. If you want a certain map, use an offering.

  • @Peanits said:

I'm not sure how much that would change, if I'm honest. Map offerings already allow you to have some control over which map you play. If you don't want to play a specific map, you could always burn an offering for any other realm.

Being able to specifically block a map, on the other hand, means that you're actively preventing someone else from playing on a map they like. Or in the event that a new map is added, someone could ban the new map just to troll everyone else. More importantly, I can see that creating a meta for map bans where everyone starts banning maps depending on the survival rate, and then you'd never end up seeing those maps.

Short version, you can already somewhat do this with the existing map offerings, and that way you don't lose the map variety in the process.

I mean, its fun for them but not fun for someone else.

Whats more important, fun at the expense of someone else or a gentle compromise?

Plenty of games have a pick/ban feature for RNG elements of their game.

  • The problem with strong survivor perks is the ability to stack them, which creates more and more problems especially when we consider their application and consistency in survive with friends. (you and 3 other people can just "choose" to bring these perks in, and communicate over voice how to best effectively use them at whatever time they're most useful)

My suggestion would be that the possession of obsession perks reduce the amount of hook stages a survivor has from 3 to 2, it would allow the second chance perks to work but at the cost of having to be more careful once you have been hooked.

Struggle time would remain the same length, making sure that if the killer camps the body that survivors still have ample time to do the generators and escape with two or three people.

Object of obsession should make you aura blind to fellow survivors

and sole survivor should be buffed to remove scratchmarks when nobody else is left alive.

If you disregard this suggestion, or call me an entitled killer main.

Then this thread is just huge bait lol

  • Scream into the void.

  • Hatch isn't = NOED
I'm sorry but it's a pretty universally accepted opinion that RANCOR = HATCH

  • The "Oh my god maps are terrible" event.
The survivors pick 1 map to ban (each), and the killer picks 4 maps to ban.
    It'll be great!

  • If you aren't playing a top tier, the best you can hope for even with ultra rares/pink mori is basically a 2k.
Optimal survivor is insane, we just don't talk about it because it's a bit more rare to see people playing optimally.

  • Just run pharmacy and self care together, that green medkit will last you the whole game.

  • My rule has always been this, if you say GG I'll say gg.

I don't even want it, I want fair matches against players of my same skill level. I can't get it though because they aren't sitting in rank 1 and they're essentially forcing me to play to nurse when I do see them.
So I'm heading to yellow to find people who are not at my relative level of experience and can't loop properly to ask them if they think its fair I stack the game against them.

I think by blue you mean purple, colour blind?

Even then, you're talking about deranking way past that to yellow, and trying to compare it to what they do, the streamers that I've seen derank go to rank 8 from what I've seen but nothing below.

Sweaty players are at all ranks, stop trying to justify your reason for deranking and just admit you're a bad killer and can't handle survivors that take the time to hit rank 1.

But raaaaank doesnt matter though, remember?
No difference between raaaaaank 1 and raaank 8, but I don't wanna be raaaank 1 despite no difference between the two.

    Are you 8 years old?

They specifically don't derank past a certain number because then you do start hitting players that are newer to the game.

Instead of being childish why don't you actually refute my point, oh wait - you can't. You want to instead justify your reasoning to go into YELLOW ranks btw so you can bully survivors that don't even care about this whole situation.

I think there is a huge difference between deranking to rank 8 and deranking to rank 15.

I'm sorry I can't outskill 4 man DS/adrenaline with people on comms, or 4 man sabo.
It's especially funny when you do it to people who don't have your same level of relative experience, and then call them ######### or don't sympathize when they're unhappy.

Also AHAHAHAHA there are people with bad skill in all hours, ppl in red ranks with 300 hrs who are subpar at this game.

I spent a whole morning qeue sniping a [rank 1] 3 manSWF and they didn't stand a chance outside of a killer I don't play and some bad map RNG one game.
Trust me, I can deal with rank 1 just fine.
I'm mostly just doing it because apparently people think it's ok, and plenty of fog whisperers have admitted they enjoy dicking on people via deranking or they don't admit it but if you watch their streams you'll see how disrespectful they are.

  • The range isn't the issue, it's his MS reduction during shock therapy.
Just make it so treatment mode doesn't slow your MS

  • Release cosmetics though, we really love those!

  • Its a bit worse when they actually don't go to the gates but choose to keep sneaking around in the level to waste even more of your time LOL
Devs said they were working on a better endgame, I hope it addresses this issue.
I'd like to see a blood warden effect for people who refuse to get out when everyone has already escaped or died.

  • Literally nobody agrees with Tyde outside of his fanbase.

Hag mains came in to his twitch channel to defend the position that hag was not low tier and Tyde just would not debate them.
He chose instead to get frustrated, shutting them down with logical fallacies and/or bans(possible timeouts). The also joined his server and tried to make the same appeal, to no avail.
Prominent hag playing community members and TydeTime have a long standing grudge, the reasons of which are numerous but I think it's of value to point that out when showing off that his list has a clear bias in some areas.

I'm not going to pick apart his list because I don't really feel like it, and I think people should play killers before passing judgement on them personally.
Tier lists shouldn't be held as some sort of gospel, people need to think for themselves.

People comparing NOED and Adrenaline fail to account for the fact that one perk requires you to succeed for it to proc, while the other requires you to fail.

My Adrenaline won't proc unless all the gens get done, I get rewarded for succeeding in my objective. NOED procs when you failed as killer to stop the gens from being done. You are rewarding for nothing. If NOED required something on the killers end, something they had to do before the gates were powered for it to proc, then it would be a fair perk. As it stands, it's a crutch and OP is completely right. There are too many boosted killers that only got to high ranks because NOED saved them at the end of the game. Killers that can't chase, can't keep map pressure, can't ever find you, these are the ones running NOED to make up for their lack of skill. You can tell because they will barely get a single hook all game, then suddenly kill 2 when the gates power because they hit the guy they were chasing all game with NOED to finally catch them, and usually manage to catch 1 more either going for the save or at a gate.

I had a game as Freddy last night. I was doing a Hide'n'Seek build (jumpscares with M&A and paint brush), with Devour Hope. It was on Game (I picked it), but they still found my totem early (I had 1 token I think and then it was gone). They also had 3 toolboxes. I struggled SO HARD that game. All 4 were alive when the exit gates powered, and I had no NOED. At this point I was pretty sure I would lose, but I managed to pull out a 2k simply because the guy I caught when the gates were powered was in good spot for me to defend. It wasn't easy, but I pipped. If I had NOED I'm positive I woulda got all 4, but I wouldn't have deserved it.

Killers need to stop defending this perk. The only killers that claim to "need" NOED are the bad ones.

NOED is your punishment for not cleansing totems, this sounds like a failure to me. Go do some secondary objectives if you hate noed so much ;)

  • Ah sorry, responded back when an earlier comment claimed you used one then I watched the video myself and you didn't. Then they fixed their comment.

Still fact remains that there is only two ways to punish gen rushing in this game and that is RUIN and NOED, devs have already said they're not changing the 90sec channel timer for generators and they haven't fixed a lot of palette/window loops so a lot of killers can just have 20-30 seconds wasted ez.
Why not go around cleansing totems if you hate NOED so much, make it your personal mission when you play survivor.
Stop shaming people for their perk choices, it's never a smart move.

  • YOU USED AN INSTA HEAL, AND NOBODY BOTHERED CLEARING TOTEMS

But sure, claim NOED is the issue here.

Also if you wanted NOED gone from the game, they would have to nerf adrenaline saves AND get rid of borrowed f*cking time

Despite the totem being found in 12 seconds even, that is still twelve seconds of no gen rushing and people scrambling to find it.
Time is literally so precious we'll take any amount of distraction versus an immediate gen rush.

Except Survivors don't scramble to find it, because it's basically irrelevant.

Please dont make the great skill checks argument, I've heard it so many times and yet I still see high rank games where nobody "powers through with great skill checks"
It does happen occasionally, but it doesn't happen every game and it rarely happens even still with a single person on a genny.

So play one Killer and have 2 perk slots to soften the blow from a single perk. You don't see how that might show a balance problem?
