Have you ever considered getting good at the game instead asking for killer nerfs? All I see from you is that, git gud.
As long as I see a huge disparity between killer and survivor, I'll continue to ask for killer nerfs and survivor buffs.
-
Have you considered taking your own medicine instead of asking the devs to give you ez kills? I know, the pills are too big for you to swallow.
-
Not needed at all. Huge mistake. Every rework makes them too overpowered and less fun to verse so he will become the new killer to suicide with.

I don't doubt what you are saying. I think there is probably a lot of truth to that. The only caveat I would add is I think the amount of killers that can successfully go up against a decent SWF is statistically small.
Because killers refuse to git gud. Because of this, killer is now way overpowered. Now you have mediocre killers stumping survivors left and right regardless of survivor experience.

Hide in a locker every time. The overpower killer perks can be disabled so it's not fair. None of the survivor perks can be disabled by doing something for 7 seconds.
Lockers are not always nearby.
-
DS was already heavily nerfed and reworked. I'd rather see a rework to always used killer perks that have never been touched, namely BBQ. Now Undying and a few others.
-
Maybe the devs are Huntress mains. I can't think of another reason but the bias is clearly there.
-
Not all SWF are good. Lets say it together: "Not all SWF are good". I myself beat most 4man SWF. Most SWF are not good. You can't give solo comms and they are magically good. Nope. The problem is killer egos are shattered when you win 99 games in a row and then that good SWF on comms genrushes you and you lose. Then the game suddenly becomes imbalanced because you lost one? Give me a break.
Survivors are already way too weak because a good killer is impossible to beat unless all four are really really good and are on comms. You DO NOT balance around a top SWF.
Killer is way overpowered because without a coordinated genrush, the killer is destined a guaranteed victory if they know what they are doing. That cannot be said of survivor. All four have to play perfectly in a coordinated fashion to win and that is not fair and balanced whatsoever.
-
You don't have to be good. Just throw over their heads, to their sides, wait for the vault, at the pallets...ez 4K.
-
Ironically, a horror survival game where stealth is heavily punished.

4 years of survivor nerfs...
4 years of survivor perk nerfs...
4 years of map nerfs...
4 years of killer buffs...
4 years of killer perk buffs...
4 years of giving killer aura perks and slow gen perks...
Over 2 years since a decent survivor perk came out...
Only months ago two busted killer perks came out that gives free wins...
Over 9 out of 10 matches is a bloodbath...
The devs are survivor sided alright.
-
There's enough game changing killer perks to take up the slack and much more for the loss of bloodlust. Believe me.
-
This seems like the better of the two has an advantage. If a bad killer needs bloodlust to catch a good survivor that knows how to use these loops then there is no game. No reward in learning survivor.
-
Sometimes it isn't related to the survivors purposely not doing anything.

No one wants easy wins, we just want the ability to have more playstyles instead of depending on meta killers, with ruin and undying on every single build, to avoid getting bullied. Survivors have plenty of different playstyles.
We already have to deal with poor hit tracking, grab animations not working the majority of the time, downed survivors teleporting, and ridiculous gen speeds.
"Its only stressful if you demand a 4k every match" - Or maybe you should try being trapper going against a swf with object, as they disarm all your traps, get flashlight saves while you only have 3-5 hooks, everyone is alive, and theres only 2 gens left.
A trapper against a SWF is totally winnable. Against the killer meta is totally not, unless you are in a top SWF and you might have a chance to juggle and get the totems first, before everyone is dead.
-
Buff weaker killers translates to I want an ez win like I do with Freddy, Spirit, etc.
The only thing stressful is watching your team go down to the meta killers every single game due to oppressive perks and unfriendly maps for most. This is where killers want all killers to be, an unstoppable force against 99% of the gaming population.
It is only stressful for killer if you demand a 4K every match.
-
Survivor perks are totally lackluster and will never use them. It is so blatantly obvious the devs are scared to death of killer mains, their purchasers of the DLC.
Killer is mixed feelings.

If you run into a dead zone that's on you, not the game.
Besides, if you fill every deadzone with a loop current map balance would feel much worse than Ormand currently is.
Current Ormond is actually a fair map. Everyone is usually not on their bellies before a gen is popped.
-
You realize bloodlust was added when actual true infinites existed? Maps have been totally nerfed into the ground and I am glad they are finally thinking about deleting it. Now hoping their next agenda is fixing the deadzones!

With that very small stun whole game can change.
Tinkerer and/or Undying/Ruin does it every game. Survivor has no choice but to lose. At least with DS, the killer has a choice to chase someone else if they are afraid to be stunned.
-
When bloodlust is gone, they'll still find killers are overpowered especially in higher ranks. At red ranks where the killrates are the highest, killers that don't use bloodlust will be unaffected and still be winning most of the time. Removal of bloodlust only prevents a noob from catching an experienced survivor.

Actually no, perk that has absolutely no counter play in those circumstances needs to be changed. It's not fair for the killer to just leave because he can't do anything.
Who's telling you to leave? With a very small 5 sec stun, most of the time the survivor is down again within a few seconds now they have only 3 perks.
-
@Healthore77992 said:
As we know this perk isn't used how it was supposed to be used, it's most abused perk in the game. DS + UB, zero counterplay, hop in the locker, zero counter play.. Sit on the gen in your face but you can't do anything because of the DS and UB combo, now pair it on 4 survivors and it almost impossible to win. Like many other people recommend it should be disabled if you do objectives, because you are not being tunneled anymore. It could have multiple uses and last longer but if you do objectives (doing gens, healing, doing totems) it should be disabled. It's absolutely unfair to get him by it if you are not even tunneling, i can't express how many times I hook different survivor, find the other survivor, down him and get hit by DS. And like i said in some cases it has absolutely zero counter play, it should be tweaked a bit.
A perk helping you survive is not abuse. If that is the case, every single killer perk is abused, but to a greater extent. A one time use perk should be very good. All killer meta perks are better than very good and they are used multiple times a match.

simple as its a test that isnt needed. if you have lead on a chase long enough for bloodlust to kick in before the killer gets a hit then well you have clearly done your job, and some loops have changed in the sense sure but some will still be so strong even more so after you add in spine chill and resilience. im just saying all youre doing is killing newer and less experienced killers so survivors stop moaning "i was chased this long and only went down to bloodlust how unfair"...
The best should win! A killer shouldn't get a kill because of a mechanic.
-
He was way overbuffed.
-
Thank you BHVR!!! Time for killers to git gud. But this alone won't change much.
-
The state of the game now. Too many huntresses because of unfair advantage, broken hitboxes, not enough defenses and little counterplay. I see Tinkerer too. How unfun.
-
They need to learn the hard way. You don't learn anything if you are always winning. If a few survivors get out, that should be acceptable, especially being new.

Not really. In other games, sure, but in DBD, not at all. Alot of the content creators I mentioned have been playing for a LOOOOONG time, and are very clearly good at the video game. They aren't gods of knowledge, yes, but they know the game better than anyone, especially the devs. Monto can be dismissed to an extent, but Scott Jund, Otzdarva, OhTofu, etc are all VERY credible sources of feedback on the game. I'm not asking you take their word for it. I'm asking for you to listen to them talk about the issue and form your own opinion.
Also, entertainers don't often tell their audience what they want to hear. The channel Unus Annus is proof of that lmao. Space Coconut is one who describes all the bad things in the game, and Scott Jund and I actually had a good conversation on whether or not Ruin/Undying is the best Killer combo. It won't hurt to hear their opinions.
Well, I've been playing for a LOOOOONG time as well. I remember when there was ONLY 3 killers btw. Meg would regain her sprint burst in the middle of a chase but killers still caught her! I remember playing as trapper and outsmarted survivors that thought they were safe with their infinities. An underated killer I might add, just like Clown that I'm sure is about to be buffed into something ridiculous and unfun if history is right. Most of those streamers you mentioned don't go back that far but that doesn't mean they don't know anything. They simply have no idea how hard playing killer was and how earning kills was actually an achievement and not something handed to them.
-

They don't even win that often. The only reason they win so much is that they understand the game inside and out, but their opponents aren't. That's not because of their perks. That's because of matchmaking. You should watch them talk about DS. Might learn a thing or two
Streamers are not gods of knowledge, they are entertainers and they say what their audience wants to hear.

Oh, so high level players like OhTofu, Scott Jund, Otzdarva, Tru3Talent, Monto, Umbra and many more are nothing but filthy tunnelers because they have issues with DS/Unbreakable? Pretty sure it's nothing more than a meme at this point that someone can unironically say that if you have a problem with DS you're just a tunneler.
They win something like 99% of their matches as killer. That shouldn't even be remotely possible. If they are getting hit by DS then that means it is actually doing its job, just like they get benefits from their BBQ! How many times have they hit an unfair hatchet throw with BBQ when it traveled 20 meters above their head? They win with their perks a lot more than survivor wins with their perks. Killer perks are so much stronger than survivor perks.

Survivors aren't too weak, nor are killers too strong. The issue is, survivors in general are pepegas.
If you take 4 survivors, and put them against a killer of equal skill and knowledge of the game, the survivors win, every time. Unless it's Nurse.
Stats are real. All of that you said is a myth. I find it hard to believe that most survivors are bad gamers but most killers are all skilled gamers. That makes no sense to me and it further shows killer is a lot easier (aka heavily balanced in their favor).
-
@ThePolice said:
The thing is though, bbq, pop, ruin and undying can be countered, ds + unbreakable cannot
Only a tunneler will find there is no counter to DS + Unbreakable. Why did you go back to the hook and slugged them?
This the perfect hypocrisy of "I'm enjoying all my overpowered stuff to give me free easy wins but the other side can't have anything because I am supposed to be the power role"
-
Decisive Strike, a perk that is intended to give you an escape from the killer, is decided by the killer when it is used. It should be decided by the survivor.

Those stats aren't everything. They do not reflect the current meta of the community as proven by the killer choose rates. They do not take into account all the factors that happen in a match therefore they are more or less irrelevant. If you are having trouble against killers like my guy here says YOU need to change up the way you play because anyone can instantly drop pallets to waste killers time and to allow gens to fly. Neither side has the upper hand right now there's too many grey areas.
Why don't you take your own medicine for killer? You want to ignore the stats because they are not approved by killers? Talking about me being a bad survivor and you can say such. And anyone that is honest knows gens are not going to fly against a rank 1 killer that is loaded down with gen slowdown perks. Most of the time they don't get done and killer has another easy victory to add to their tabs.

If you keep seeing killers "win with ease," maybe the problem isnt necessarily with the killers. Purposely go out of your way to waste their time while all the pallets are still up. Be the change you want to see while 3 other players enjoy the immunity, rather than expect a single player to be able to perfectly counter 4 people simultaneously.
If killers do win most games, the problem sits squarely on the killers being too strong or that survivors are too weak.
-
Hopefully it is totally scraped. As much as I see killers win with ease, a feature that stalls the survivor objective to make it even easier for the killer gets a hard pass for me. The killer should feel urgency to find the survivors just like they've always done.

I think survivor perks should be looked at more rather than scrutinising killers when talking about balance (which always seems to be the starting point). Perks like DS are used far too much, I find it unfun and boring to play around DS every single match without fail-imagine if NOED was used as much as DS is, there would be uproar
With perks like undying and tinkerer, you don't need NOED because the gens are never done for NOED to be used.
-
Instead of forcing killers to gitting gud at the game, they continue to make killers with cheesy mechanics to completely reduces counterplay, unfun to verse, even bypass survivor perks in the case of pyramid torment power. Bad killers whine because their gens pop too fast, or they being looped too much, the devs come to the rescue to put in deadzones everywhere, reduces defenses, puts in a perk that makes it almost impossible to remove ruin and in the process gives an aura of the survivor location, like every survivor wants their location revealed to the killer. A huge middle finger to a casual claudette trying to enjoy the game. It is a horrible time to be a survivor in this game and don't see how people enjoy it. If you are not in a SWF trying to genrush the killer as fast as possible, you are guaranteed to lose if the killer is worth anything. The worst part is, you can tell the freddy is not even trying, he watches his perks to tell him where to go and spams instant puddles to stop the survivor and rinse and repeat. It is non-sense.
-
There was no hope in the match. The entity was displeased.

It wasn't totally unplayable because the skill level of 99% of survivors at the time was low
If a good survivor today went back to 2016 map gen resources they would be invincible
As much as I see survivors dying constantly, twitch showing killers winning over and over and over, it needs to at least go back in time a little bit. I think maps have been a little overdone, but most importantly, killer perks are way too oppressive.
-
Oppressed enough they become potatoes. 9.5 out of 10 matches.
No survivor build has that effect on killers.

dude because of how easy it is for pig to secure kills OFC its going to increase her kill rate.
that kill rate can't show how good pig actually is because she is pretty meh, i don't think she is worse than trapper but she is at the bottom in terms of viability.
take the twins they suck and everyone agrees, now imagine if victor actually completely stopped a survivor from escaping and you could easily secure a kill that way. it's going to the affect the kill rate dramatically that is what is happening with pig.
stop using the kill rates to justify a point as even the devs themselfs have said not to draw conclusions from the stats as they are flawed and don't show how good a killers is because various things can affect the stats. Pigs RBT are one of those things so the kill rates doesn't show how good she actually is.
Pig needs a nerf then, if it is too ez to secure kills.
Why are you saying Twins needs a buff when nobody has practiced with them yet? That's why killers are way too overpowered because they are balanced around first couple of days of exposure. BTW, every twitch video I watched, the twins was mowing all the survivors down with no effort.

don't let stats cloud your judgement and if that's the case literally every killer above clown who is near the bottom btw has too high of a kill rate.
i already explained why pigs kill rate is high it's because she can secure kills easier however that doesn't mean she wins games. a pig can get stomped and still get two kills at the end because she has one survivor stuck in the trial with a RBT. there are always exceptions to these things like nurse actually being the best despite her low kill rate, its basically the opposite with pig.
Those are still kills, it doesn't matter how they do it. It would be like saying a bubba getting a kill with his saw doesn't count because he used his power.
But even Nurse, one of the hardest killers to do well with, still has a killrate very close to 50%, only very slightly less. On average, with the hatch, she still has less than 50% chance of the gates opening. That is really not good.
-
@AChaoticKiller said:
https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/1746487#Comment_1746487
kill rates are not something good to go off of and on average killers should get 65% since when killers win they get 3-4 kills and when they lose they usually get 0-2 kills. that shifts the data above 50% and for killers that have low kill rates its because they take more skill and the bad players shift the data down.
Pig has a high kill rate because she can secure kills easier than any other killer since a survivor with a RBT can't escape through the gates so she can average 1-2 kills on a lost game way more often than other killers which is why she has a higher kill rate. she also has a addon combo that makes it so you will die if you don't get the RBT off in the first 3-4 boxes. you can also force a survivor to die from a RBT but it throws the game against good survivors assuming your not running her broken addon combo, it's like a more active version of camping that takes longer.
that doesn't mean pig is good it just means she has a broken addon combo and can secure at least 1 kill easier than other killers so her kill rate is naturally higher.
As for clown he is bad lol he is literally a deathslinger that can be played against safer than normal.
Kill rates are more important than you realize. It means on average, average Pigs beats average Survivors. And red ranks is where everyone has experience. You would think red ranks would be closer to 50% and the lower ranks having a higher killrate but it is the opposite. This tells me killer is a lot easier once you get a little experience. What everyone forgets is how the hatch actually increases the survival rate more than what it is, which means if the killrate is actually 75% for example, it means the chance of opening the gate is actually much less than 25% because the hatch has shifted the stats. On average, Freddy practically never has the door to open with him and Pig and Clown is not far behind him.
-
Not totally unplayable. Killers still won. The dead survivors were prizes and hard earned. Today they are expected.

I'm sorry, but I couldn't disagree more with THIS argument. Sure, Killers have gotten some good/fresh/new content recently, but Killers are NOT having a day in paradise. Survivors remain the power role. The Killer still fears the SURVIVORS. I hate to see it (much less say it) because I have been a major fan of this game since nearly day one. The roles have swapped and the Survivors are now the thing to be scared of, which didn't feel like the case way before all of these perks, mechanics, and stats for survivors that make them stronger than the Killer.
Not all survivors have the luxury being in a swat team on discord, coordinated on a mission to finish the gens fast enough to counter the killer meta. But I understand your frustration against a genrush team. Both extremes are unfun.
Balancing around that top percent is not fair for everyone else.

The DS 'nerf' was a buff. People just hate change. Just like how new Ruin is way better than old but everyone was screaming about it being a nerf.
Also you can hear half the killers ambient noises from like 16 metres away. TInkerer isnt a great perk.
DS definitely wasn't buffed. You can't tell me a perk that can be countered by not tunneling is stronger than the old DS that was pre-hook. I also thought ruin was nerfed but now realized it was massively buffed for good killers. If tinkerer wasn't a great perk, you wouldn't see it on every blight, hillbilly, spirit, bubba...
Think you almost have the objective done? The perk says no.
