Oh I noticed I just brainfarted there lmao.
The only thing those stats would prove then is an objective killer tier list based on stats though. Percentages of how many kills they get would be misinformation as the source of this info relies on survivors killing themselves and AFK’ing or the killer playing a scummy way. If you want to figure out which killer is overperforming based on their actual power, then those things should be considered and maybe even changed/punished rather than the killer itself.
I agree.

I think at this point it's best to just say we agree to disagree. We are being told not to draw conclusions based on the data, and it's broad enough to me that It means little to nothing. It's pointless numbers that are only gonna fuel people, like you, to jump to the same conclusions we are told not to jump too. It's gonna fuel the more vocal minority of Survivors (and Killers) To flood the forums with posts like this to "Prove a point." Personally, I don't care. I want to play the game for fun and not get insulted every step of the way. That and a Legion rework is all I care about at this point. But drawing the conclusion that "This game is Killer sided!" off the pathetic data we were given, and then being insulting and toxic to the people that disagree with you is probably the worst way to make your point. I'm sure there is hours of footage you could watch that shows Killers struggling to get anything done, and in fact I could provide you with some if I thought that you would really take any of it to heart. I hope you have fun in the Fog and have a good day.
Oh and one thing I saw earlier you didn't reply too that someone posted.
A list of factors that the stats provided do not show or take into account:
- Perks used
- Rank of Killer and Survivors
- What exactly "High Rank" is
- Add-ons used
- Whether the Killer piped or not
- Whether there was a SWF group present or not
- What map the match was being played on
- How familiar the player is with a particular Killer
- What items the Survivors have taken
- What events are currently running
- And many more
Sounds good. I’m not being toxic or rude. I think it’s fair to call out anyone sniping at me with nothing to contribute (not talking about you). I think it’s also fair to call you out for being inaccurate and arguing against me with words that were never said. If you read all my posts here I think I’ve been pretty logical and open minded throughout. IMO these numbers say a lot and I think many people see this. It’s hard to deny that if super swf teams were truly an issue at high ranks we should see lower kill rates. We don’t. Thus even if we assume a super swf results in a 0k this means that for every 0k, these killers are getting 3 4ks. I think we’d all like to see more info...

You mean what if they’re not included in the stats?
It makes a big difference. Camping, tunneling, AFK, ... all result in a quick 3v1 and a quick 3v1 game is what killers aim for. Why? Because applying pressure is SO much easier, meaning their chances of getting more than 2 kills gets higher.
No. I mean assume they are included. They would still make no difference. It feels like many of you are missing the point. Regardless of if survivors go afk or screw around or killers camp or tunnel... whatever... the end result is that killers average 3ks. So your average Freddy gets to win some games even easier from an afk here and there and then he has some hard ones, and at the end of his day of killing he has averaged 3ks a game. So even if some games are hard for him, the majority aren’t.

Okay, solid reasons:
It lumps all platforms together.
It gives no detail.
It is very broad and doesn't show anything that can be used to make an accurate conclusion from.
There is no real data to "Think Logically" from. There is Pick rate and Kill rate. That's it. That's all. It's not saying what other factors are in the match or anything.
Peanits isn't just "an authority" he's a Dev and a Community Manager. I'm pretty sure he'd know. He's saying "Don't draw conclusions from the numbers." Which is EXACTLY what you are doing.
It doesn't even show if anyone was AFK, Hook suicides or DC'ed. All of those things would effect the Kill rate.
And yes, you did insult me. I, in fact, see Mandy changed your post. You implied I was not an adult or had no idea what I was talking about or both. I assure you, I do and am likely older than you think. If you are comfortable drawing conclusions from data with no real detail or merit, then please also be comfortable with someone disagreeing with what in the end is your own judgement based on a loose collection of numbers.
Ok. Hopefully this puts an end to our side discussion;
The part about people being more accurate applied to everyone, including you. Everything after that, about people sniping and saying I’m misusing statistics etc... was not about you. It was about those other people sniping and adding nothing substantive. I hope that’s clear. All I said that related to you specifically was about being more exact.
As to your points:
Lumping platforms together. It would be nice to see the difference but don’t see this as mattering. What would we see? One format even worse and one not as bad? Still basically the same issue.
It gives no detail/it is very broad. It doesn’t need to. Those results are granular enough. How many kills per game average. That’s good info.
Theres no real data to think logically from / doesn’t show afk etc...
Again, yes there is data to think logically about and as long as we know dc matches aren’t included I do not see that afks etc would have any significant impact. Again... the facts are the kill rates. They average 75% per game. It’s pretty clear. Just for the heck of it, imagine the kill rates were even higher. What if they said spirit kill rates are 95%... but please don’t draw conclusions. Do we really just IGNORE that stat? Oh, uh maybe there are a lot of afks... give me a break. Those facts are enough to see there’s a problem.

I feel like I really need to stress this line from that post:
PLEASE KEEP IN MIND THAT NUMBERS ARE NOT EVERYTHING; THERE ARE A WHOLE BUNCH OF FACTORS THAT COULD INFLUENCE THESE NUMBERS.
To use the Spirit as an example, as we've mentioned many times before, we do not balance based on stats alone. We make sure to do our research first and there's a lot of compelling arguments for why she should have been changed.
And again, there's a bunch of different factors involved. Is Freddy overpowered, or is it just a combination of perks and add-ons that make him that strong? These are all things that need to be considered.
So just to reiterate one last time, I really would not recommend drawing any conclusions from these stats. These are averages, not specific and incredibly detailed data that you should draw any conclusions from.
I'm not even gonna take into account that you felt the need to insult me. But here you go. Have a better quote. I don't know what you want other than that. A Dev is saying not to use the data for conclusions. Sorry they arn't supporting your point.
Also, a z-score is the number of standard deviations from the mean a data point is.
and you forgot the "E" in Zebra.
I’m sorry if you think I insulted you but I didn’t. I did however call out all the loose and inaccurate language in the thread of which you were also guilty. He never said the data was useless. And again, I think for myself. I deal with large data sets all day long. I probably would also recommend that people not versed in dealing with large data sets try to draw conclusions from this data. But I’m comfortable doing so. The data is accurate, and the data does support my point.
You need to understand, an “authority” saying not to draw conclusions from data shouldn’t stop anyone from thinking logically about the data. If someone presents me with solid reasons why this data doesn’t support my arguments, then I’ll listen.
-
@Nameless said:
Do these stats take suicides on hook into account? How about people AFK’ing? And camping/tunneling? The Endgame Collapse? Etc, etc...
Looks to me that many people are drawing conclusions without actually asking themselves too much where these stats come from. I’m not saying they’re completely wrong, I am however saying that when looking at stats you need to consider the missed variables that may or may not have changed the outcome of those stats.
Let’s assume these stats include suicides on hook and afks and all the other things mentioned. What difference does it make? The main killers are averaging 3ks per game, regardless of the quality and variety of styles of play in those games.
-
Nevermind. I got the quote. And he doesn’t say it’s useless. It’s more like he’s saying it’s complicated. Here’s another example of a broad complicated statistic: Women make .78 for every dollar a man makes. (No pun intended).
Yeah, it’s hard to draw direct correlations to the reasons, but we can still get the picture of how this situation can be the reality. Would you just ignore what that statistic is telling you even though you can’t nail down the exact reasons? This isn’t that complicated. And It would be great if people would be more accurate with what they say on here and/or just not post if they have nothing of value or interest to say. Sniping that I’m misusing statistics when I’m pretty sure you wouldn’t know a z score from a z bra is just tedious.
-
Sorry but that link isn’t taking me to a quote.

And I disagree with your characterization of the devs view of their own official data which they released to the community.

How about this? Its harder to rank up as killer. Whether you want to beleive that or not its true. Therfore, more survivors of varying skills will be able to make it to red rank, and can be carried by team mates (especialyl SWF). Killers have to get really good and have no one else to rely on. While this may come across as balance to you, it is not. Killer's have to work 12 times harder, not 4 times harder then survivors. Plus the fact of the matter is, the killer should be the power role, and the survivors should have to struggle. But its the other way around. Ergo, the game is not balanced, the stats are just showing that the lackluster survivors who make it easily to red ranks are being taken advantage of by killers who are actually good at the game. The only thing it shows as even close to definite (which it still isn't), is the difference in killer power/skill cap.
No offense, but you’re not discussing the matter at hand which is the data. I can agree that killer takes more work (though I highly doubt your dubious statistic of 12 times harder). And yeah, killer is supposed to be the “power role”. But what does that have to do with the fact that the data shows that red rank killers have 75% kill rates? We’re discussing game balance, aka whether both sides have the same opportunity to “win”. Not how hard it is to play one role or other.
i think the closest I’ve gotten to understanding this data is that killers lose a higher % of games vs legit red ranks thus they feel like survivors that are their rank are OP. But regardless, they are clearly still winning a large number of games overall.
And the closest I’ve come to understanding why this data might not be relevant to game balance is that the devs consider getting a pip / ranking up to be the equivalent of a win. Thus a killer can get 4k and the survivors still get pips and everyone “wins”. Survivor pipping is easier to make up for the fact that killers will likely kill you (75% kill rate). Thus the non equivalence at higher ranks (boosted survivors in red ranks). But there will be legit red rank survivors as well which can beat a killer but the quantity of these is overstated and killers complaints are really based on % of defeats from these legit survivors vs quantity.

Sorry mate, but the official stats aren't accurate as peantis has said. I wouldn't even bother with it because apparently most of it is inaccurate.
If a dev has said that their official stats are inaccurate then I would think they would take them down. You know, versus making a big splash about how they have new interesting stats...

If the doors are close enough, no tactics will work if the trapper has any sense at all. Go for the style points (teabagging in the face of your demise) or just go grab actual points from chests or totems. If you have enough time you may find a key and can grab hatch. But barring that unlikely occurrence, best option IMO is to find the path with the most pallets available and get chase points with pallet stuns and then teabag in the final seconds....EGC is garbage.

What about this thought: In order win as survivorteam, you need 3 good survivors against a good killer. The one weak link will die quickly, but you can get over it if its just one. Ranking up is too easy, so bad players get to r1 nonetheless. Whats the chance to have 0-1 potato in your team vs having too many potatoes on your team. Not that high to get 2-3 competent teammates. What if you are a potato yourself. Pretty damn low then. How often will the killer 4k in result of potatoes? Pretty often, especially if you are a potato survivor yourself.
How are the queue times? Survivors is really slow compared to instant killers = Most people dont play killer rank 1 and those who do, are probably pretty skilled. Survivor on the other hand has a lot of potatoes, even though its 4:1 already, there are still more than 4 survivors vs 1 killer at r1. The potatoes stack up on survivorteam, especially later in the season = easy wins for killers.
What happens if you face 4 good survivors though? A balanced match so to speak. Thats where everyone who plays both sides will tell you, that survivors have the upper hand. Whats more important to you? Balance -> Survivorfavored. Matchmaking -> Killerfavored
Killers op is not the conclusion though
I'm glad to hear a legitimate argument versus insults. But you're still saying the high number of boosted survivors who don't belong in high ranks are skewing the kill rates high for killer. Which means currently at high (red) ranks killers are not getting beat up so badly overall. They may get beaten up by non-boosted (legit) red rank survivor teams now and then, but the numbers show that it doesn't happen so often that it skews their kill rates down. IOW, if legit SWF teams were really a problem, and killers faced them a lot more frequently, then killer kill rates in red ranks would be lower. I dunno, maybe in the 50s to low 60s. But the fact seems to be that killers in red ranks have a good old time destroying survivors but when they face a really good team, which doesn't happen often, they can be beaten handily.
Is this that different from a team of good survivors getting destroyed by a really good killer, which seems to happen a lot more often than killers getting beat by awesome SWF teams?
I don't know... it just looks like the issue of red rank killers being owned by legit red rank SWF teams may have been blown out of proportion if these numbers are accurate. Maybe the % of times killers lose when they run into these legit teams is high but the number of times this happens is objectively fairly low. Maybe it just feels like it happens more often because they're so used to winning....

Legion is better than Nurse. Stats say so. "Facts are facts"
Yeah.. sometimes you need to actually use your brain and interpret information. Why might Nurse have a lower kill rate in the last 3 months? She got nerfed. Those that play her need to adjust to her so she wont perform as optimally as she used to. Plus changes due to dedicated servers. We're also only talking like 68% for Legion and 65% for Nurse. Look at the Nurse specific numbers at the bottom of the page. Nurse performance dropped. It all fits. Adjust to the facts. Don't try to make them bend to your will.
-
Still seeing no valid arguments. Just more anecdotal evidence about individual games. Again, not the point. Someone says killers own lower ranks, survivors own red ranks. And how exactly does that comport with this data that shows even higher kill rates in red ranks? Someone says my logic is flawed then has no follow up to counter my flawed logic. People say Peanits says don’t draw any conclusions. I‘m a data analyst. I’ll think for myself, thanks. I’ll admit there could be missing information and I’m open to having my mind changed. But in business data analytics you are presented with data and ask questions and draw conclusions. In this case these numbers fit perfectly with my experience in this game as a survivor. People say the potatos skew the kill rates. Really? In the red ranks too? But I thought survivors own the red ranks and beat up killers. Which is it? Are you saying you have lots of games in the red ranks vs easy potato squads but that the occasional killer swf squad owns you? So... you still win a lot but don’t like those times you get beat.... sorry but these stats bear out my experience that killers own this game. Facts are facts. You can’t run from them.
-
Many of you disagreeing with me are missing the point. Some of the arguments:
- Survivors screwing around or giving up skew the results. - And what about killers screwing around? It balances out.
- Doesn't account for builds. - Doesn't matter. Bad survivor builds, Bad killer builds. Any crazy builds are the vast minority. Dollars to donuts the totality of these matches will balance out to about the same level of killer vs survivor builds. That's the beauty of large data sets.
- You depip at 2k. - Doesn't matter. Pips have nothing to do with this. If 2k is a 'draw', mostly black pip, and 3k is a win, then that basically lines up. Killers aren't supposed to 'win' all the time. A fairly balanced game is more like 50% overall.
- Amazing survivors can run circles around killers, etc. - A lot of misunderstanding here. Starting with Amazing killers get 4ks all day long which is I guess the closest equivalent. Case studies of individual players beating the odds. What is being missed is the overall picture. Everyone isn't a super survivor and everyone isn't a master killer. Assuming there are roughly the same percentages of weak, average and great players on each side and they all generally get matched up correctly, everything balances out. The point being made in the data is that the entire survivor pool gets beat up by the entire killer pool.
As for the argument that high rank survivors simply don't belong there and aren't the equivalent to high rank killers... let's call this the boosted potato argument... this would just be another major problem. Matchmaking and opponent balance are 2 sides of the same coin. If the game's built in system for generating games is creating imbalanced matches in the killer's favor that's a huge problem and a reason why survivors would complain about killers being OP. Also, this wouldn't be the survivor's fault. I know this is crazy asking killer mains to try to use their empathy bone but... imagine almost every game you played you were matched against players 6-8 ranks higher than you. It would be frustrating. If you didn't KNOW they were 6-8 ranks higher because they had your same rank you'd think the game was imbalanced wouldn't you? That survivors were OP?
And guys, to be clear, these numbers don't add up into perfect 25/50/75/100 categories because they are sums of all games. So adding up your 0k this game, 2k this game and 4k that game etc, you'll get like 97,640 kills out of 136,696 survivors. The totals for the strongest, most popular killers settle out around 3ks per game. If we're defining balanced as 2ks, that's not balanced.
--------
Maybe the best argument against myself is that the game isn't balanced around kills but around ability to make BPs and pips. And I have been in many games where i was part of a 3k or 4k but we all pipped or even double pipped and/or got loads of BPs. So maybe for game balance the stats we want to see are the pips and points? How many times do survivors pip vs spirit, freddy. billy as opposed to clown etc? I'd imagine that the results are similar... lower pip rates with those killers but it would probably appear less imbalanced than this data. I'd bet it would still show that Billy needs to be nerfed.... ; )
-
Oh the sad sarcasm of mediocre killers. Maybe, just maybe, it’s not the survivors that need to adapt to a new play style, but the killers that need to be good enough to win with a balanced killer.
-
Fact: Spirit is OP. You spirit mains may love her but you kinda gotta admit to yourself that you love her because she’s easy to win / 4k with, iow OP.
Fact: She’s so OP that a very large number of survivors have taken to just quitting the match when they see its spirit again. And that’s not even with prayer beads.
I agree that In time you can learn some counterplay to spirit but even with those things - spine chill, IW, running over you’re own tracks, etc, she is still too strong. Strong spirits see the environment cues and get you anyway. In essence spirit takes the 2 strongest mechanics of invisibility / stealth and high mobility and combines them. It’s ridiculous. I’m rank 1 and I have been in way way too many games where spirit just gets down after down after down, like dominoes. And most spirits patrol the hook and use haunted ground, ruin and bbq. Killers that regularly decimate entire red rank teams quickly are OP my friend. Billy next!!!
-
Well, this patch has ruined game performance on my end. PS4 and my pings are suddenly god awful and rubber banding is crazy. The game is pretty much garbage now. All my internet speeds are fine and I have a PS4 pro and a brand new router and modem. Its the update and I’m pissed.
-
@Jed_Olsen said:
Your ping is dependent on distance between host and yourself and the quality of their connection. Your probably getting matched with players further away or more likely killer is using WiFi which will produce more latency
I’m no expert in everything that could affect pings in this game. However I’m pretty solid with logic. I’m not, all of a sudden, going to start getting matched only with players meeting your criteria. And my friend as well. My ping has returned to 150 plus levels now. I play this game hours every day. Logging thousands of hours with green ping and now suddenly getting almost yellow exclusively... not a coincidence.
-
i eventually played with him last night and yes, he also had worse ping. Both had pings roughly double the norm. We’re both Las Vegas but on opposite sides of town and usually have nearly identical low pings. I just ran my first game this morning and saw my first bit of green and a sub 100 ping so maybe resolved.
-
There’s something amiss. I have a work friend who swfs with me frequently. If he has the same issue, that’ll at least be independent confirmation that it’s not just me. Will update when I find out...
-
all 4 survivors show a ping. Oh well... Mystery...
-
SOMETHING is going on. My download speeds are fantastic. When my numbers are this good I mostly have games in the green ping range and some yellow. We’re talking 40-120 all night long. Only after this patch am I now seeing constant 150+. My only other guess is that most of the killers I play are in CA and that the fires are affecting something. Mysterious.
-
This Is my DBD experience for the past 2 days:
Looking for match... (wait 3 minutes)
Connection Lost.
Looking for match... (wait 3 minutes)
Connection Lost.
Looking for match... (wait 3 minutes)
Connection Lost.
Looking for match... (wait 3 minutes)
Get a lobby.
Game starts. Spirit. 1-2 DCs.
Minus 1 pip.
Repeat.
Ill give it a few more chances and then Borderlands 3...
-
Prayer beads nerf definitely. But in general why I hate playing spirit is that she uses both high mobility and invisibility. The most powerful killers are highly mobile: nurse, billy.... but you can see them and at least know where to run. Spirit gets to come at you with a greatly increased speed, invisibly. You cant tell which way to run. Meanwhile she’s following your scratch marks and listening to your breath. So i’d block those cues from her. At a minimum remove the scratch marks. This way if you REALLY wanted to hard counter spirit, who would STILL be A tier, you could run IW.
-
its an ignorant and misguided strategy. They have good intentions thinking it buys time, but yeah, it does more harm than good for the reasons you mention. There have also been times that I am in a tight chase to get out and get to the exit but have to stop for that second to open the damn last 1% and get caught.
The only time it’s reasonable is vs pig if people are in bear traps. Or MAYBE if there are 2 people on hooks far away and you need time to try to get both... but that’s reaching. Just open the damn doors.
-
Stunning
-
Killers playing as cheap as possible to piss off as many survivors as possible. Survivors DC’ing because of the above. See the other threads on this topic.
-
I realize those swf teams exist. But I play solo and the teams I’m part of are not toxic. I play a non toxic build and from what I see in pregame and endgame menus the other 3 players aren’t loaded for toxicity war. I just always see a much higher concentration of cheap tactic killers during bp events. These are killers that see 3 streamers are run so play extra toxic so the survivors get screwed.
-
This wasn’t a case of the hit interfering with the triggering. I was ahead of him by a couple seconds. Went over the hill, didn’t trigger, ran a little more and got hit. The standard big hills should always let BL trigger. Again, if someone has figured out how to tell where it will/won’t trigger on a hill, that’d be great to know.
-
A very good spirit, especially with Prayer Beads, is the strongest thing in the game. Just as tough as an expert nurse or billy with their best addons. Near unbeatable. And like most killers, even a mediocre one can slaughter a team if they get some luck.
Killer mains will unsurprisingly defend her and call survivors that think she’s OP all sorts of insults but it’s in their best interest to keep the strongest killer tools in the game isn’t it?
As some have noted in this thread and the one I started yesterday on this same topic, there are some tactics you can use to increase your odds but... if you’re not in a SWF, chances are your team won’t be using the tactics or perks and you’ll still die.
I think that people DC really quickly vs Spirit more than others because as soon as they realize she has prayer beads, based on their past experience, they know what’s in store for them and they don’t want to go through a game of getting beaten down that isn’t fun.
I’ve had some really good and tough games vs PB Spirit, and have even escaped. But nowadays that’s rare because like you said, a lot of people don’t want to deal with it and leave immediately and now an already extremely tough match is even tougher as a 1 v 3.
Just to be absolutely clear, I’m not condoning, recommending or supporting DC’ing. Its wrong to DC. I’m just saying I understand why people do it so much vs Spirit as you have observed.
-
I agree with most of the responses here. Yes there are tons of pallets but they are mostly awful. This map easily has the largest amount of horrible pallets in the game. Most of the time when I run thru the pallet and throw it the killer just goes around because the loop is so small he can just meet me on the other side and whack me. I'm still trying to figure out the best approach to this map since my team gets beaten more often than not but pretty sure it's gonna be the same as Gideons. BL to take advantage of the upstairs/downstairs drops and just play it over and over to learn the best areas.
-
I love these killer main paragons of sportsmanship. Not a hypocrite among you I’ll bet.

As solo survivor main, PS4, I like the new chapter. Demogorgon is fun to play against since you can counter his lunge if you time the juke right and it's nice to destroy his portals, although I think they should be worth more points since they take a decent amount of time to do and are dangerous. I also like that there's a perk now that encourages players to do totems. Maybe now people will finally get used to how they're distributed across 5 sectors and what the usual spots are so I don't always have to use small game to find the Ruin.
There seems to be more crashes though in between games. There's very frequent errors now and I keep starting lobbies that crash for some reason. I've seen a little bit of it with streamers too.

If they based it off of the Kubrick movie The Shining would be a hoot. And why not Danny as the survivor? Oh what... you can murder adults but not little kids? lol...

Permanent T3 if survivors don’t cleanse, better tracking and possibility of corrupt purge if survivors cleanse or you bring add ons. Most players can see a Myers coming so the stealth isn’t that great.
You're entitled to your opinion. I just think some vague similarity doesn't equate to "literally a better version of meyers". They both get intermittent instadowns but all the other differences are a bit much IMO. Plague keeps survivors in instadown state by their own choosing to deny corrupt purge - an insanely powerful ranged attack. Meyers uses an addon. The ranged attack alone is a huge difference but then there's the play style of slowing down progress by infecting things and she's one of the most highly visible killers in the game. But whatever... we all look at things differently...
-
Honestly this list is getting way more attention than it deserves. Anyone can throw together a tier list, and this is a perfect example. PS4 does have more sh*tty nurses and huntresses but you still run into a few unstoppable ones.

A bit of hyperbole there by the OP. I run Small Game all the time because as some have mentioned - Ruin is in 80% of games, it helps with NOED, Trapper, Hag and Freddy, and if nothing else it finds free points.
Sure there are some games when SG does a fantastic job and finds Ruin quickly, helps find some traps and even NOED. But that's the exception, not the norm.
It can still take a long time to find ruin if you get chased before you can find it, the killer can guard ruin, and sometimes it just ends up being in the last place you look, like some weird central location. If they run TotH that also complicates things. Trapper also complicates since you often have to pop the trap to get to it.
Finding dream palettes and snares is probably the least effective use of SG. There are just too many. Often there are 2 fakes very close or a fake and a real. If you get the alert you have to reposition yourself, wait for the timer to pass then turn away and slowly turn back until you can isolate which palette gave the alert. And even then you give your position away if you pop the traps which tends to bring the killer down on your ass.
And of course all this stuff only works when you're not being chased. SG saves me now and then in a chase from running into a trap but a lot of times it's on cooldown and so I run into a trap anyway.
So yeah... SG can be very helpful but in no way does it make any killer, especially Freddy, powerless.

PS4 controller. I'll have to experiment to see if mapping a different secondary action button will help anything. Is there a hierarchy of actions that I don't know about? All I ever get is a pop up on my screen that will say what the action is going to be. That pop up can change depending on the camera, which is super flawed. Sometimes I can stand near a pallet when I need to heal and if I look away from the palette I get the heal pop up. Sometimes in the exact same position I can turn 360 and only have a throw pallet pop up so I have to move around until I can get a heal pop up.

These are the worst teammates. These have all happened and still happen:
- 2 survivors left. Both healthy. I'm on last gen, half done. The other survivor runs past me... looking for the hatch, assuming I will die.
- Hyper altruistic survivors who save too soon, get hooked, their friend repeats the process til 2 or 3 dead inside 3 minutes.
- Pulled off hook in front of killer without BT and they make sure to be on the side away from the killer so I get the hit. aka Farmed.
- High rank potatoes. I watch them all the time with aftercare. They are especially egregious at endgame with 1 gen left. These people are afraid to touch a gen and so crouch around hoping someone else will do it or just wait for the 3rd to die.
- Survivor on opposite side of chest when I opened it. Snatched the item.
- 2 of us together get chased. We both run for the nearby pallet. I'm behind the 1st guy... you see where this is going. Let the 2nd guy throw the pallet please.
- When I'm running Q&Q/HO and teammates think I'm just hiding in a closet so sell me out to the killer.
- Survivors that use fountains with Plague
- Survivors that blow simple skill checks then run immediately leaving you to take the heat
- DC'ers

There are different types of fun.
- We'll Make it, Aftercare (or Empathy), Deliverance, Self Care
I like this build when I want to be the saver/healer. It's fun healing fast, and since I'm going to be saving/healing I add Aftercare to help see where everyone is which also tends to help you see where the killer is and then Deliverance since I generally unhook before getting hooked. You can sub in BT but I prefer perks that you will get a lot of use from regardless of how the game plays out. I find that BT only comes into play in like 10-20% of games.
- Self Care, Urban Evasion, Sprint Burst, Small Game
This is my 'Get sh*t done' build even if your team is full of idiots. Also a great anti-hag build. It's a strong utility build that lets you handle most everything that annoys you thus it helps the game be more fun/less annoying. People sh*t on Small Game but when 80% of games have Ruin and 50% of games my teammates can't find it or do gens while it's up, I want to find that quick. It also helps vs Trapper, Hag and Freddy and even if none of that is in play it helps you find 1000 points here and there. Sprint Burst is IMO the best exhaustion perk for the meta right now with Freddy's teleport, GFs surprise attacks, and soon the Demos lunge. UE and SC help you stay alive while your team self destructs.
- Q&Q, Head on, (Iron Will, Self Care)
To me this is probably the most 'fun' build in that there's no combo out there like Q&Q/HO which actually lets you get quite a lot of fun stuns on the killer. I tried it with Dance w/Me but think that's overkill. The key combo is getting in there fast w/Q&Q and then timing your HO right. Takes some practice and you'll still die a lot. Like 10-15% of the time it should trigger but doesn't. Sometimes latency or just the coding. The other 2 perks can be whatever you want really but IW is strong vs Spirit and does help the 'quiet game'.

Thanks. Those are helpful and interesting.

I’ve posted twice about the matchmaking being consistently god awful in the past couple of weeks but it gets ignored. So yeah... I’m just not playing much lately since my low level killer gets destroyed by high level survivors and my survivor games are impossible to predict...teammates level 5? 20? Killer 5? 20? Its garbage but evidently no one cares.

Mostly lately. In the past there would be the occasional out of place rank. But now almost every game is a crapshoot of who you’re playing with and against. Seriously... peak hours... ranks 4 to 20 on one team... this is ridiculous.
