Spirit "over preforming"

Sorry I've heard some BS before but if the killer somehow kills more then 2 survivors its somehow "over preforming" in a game where most killers are trash and the devs cater to casuals for impulse buys of their $10 skins..."over preforming"

Casuals are seldom retained players its a bad idea to cater to those who aren't gonna stick around long term.

Ask cod devs how that turns out

  • DBD lives because of its dlc yet they seem to be nerfing any killer worth anything and bhvr should be ashamed of themselves over that nurse "rework" its pathetic.

    Nurse was free tho

  • call of duty is literally a casual game 100% obviously it'd appeal to casual players

  • I don't care if she is free bhvr shouldn't bow to casuals just because they buy overpriced cosmetics.

God tier nurses are still god tier nurses fam

  • Whatever you saw they will bend the knee like always.....because bhvr is spineless.

So they only bow down to survivors orrr? What about the removal of pallet vacuums, the nerf to mettle of man, etc?

Stop acting like the devs don't do things for both sides, because that's just disingenuous.

  • I think its more the changes they come up with like nurse are ill thought out and turn out to be bad

What bout the Freddy rework tho

  • That was a good rework the nurse is more of a miss in that department.

That's because very little of the changes are going to appeal to both sides. Because they have to be one sided because that's the side they are changing.

  • Fact: Spirit is OP. You spirit mains may love her but you kinda gotta admit to yourself that you love her because she’s easy to win / 4k with, iow OP.

Fact: She’s so OP that a very large number of survivors have taken to just quitting the match when they see its spirit again. And that’s not even with prayer beads.

I agree that In time you can learn some counterplay to spirit but even with those things - spine chill, IW, running over you’re own tracks, etc, she is still too strong. Strong spirits see the environment cues and get you anyway. In essence spirit takes the 2 strongest mechanics of invisibility / stealth and high mobility and combines them. It’s ridiculous. I’m rank 1 and I have been in way way too many games where spirit just gets down after down after down, like dominoes. And most spirits patrol the hook and use haunted ground, ruin and bbq. Killers that regularly decimate entire red rank teams quickly are OP my friend. Billy next!!!

I disagree, I think she is strong yes, OP no. But its fine they can nerf her into the ground and you'll have match after match after match against hillbilly. That sounds awesome

The solution is to make other characters more viable, not the other way around. That way killer mains will choose a wide variety.

    someone's salty nurse got changed

  • Nurses add on's needed changing not her base kit....

I mean, if the game is for "casuals" why wouldnt spirit be perfect? I mean apparently she super easy, and with the gen times being balanced for "casuals" its pretty fair to have a strong "easy" killer.

  • Yup, you're some super hardcore pro and everyone should live their lives based on your opinions.

Viable killers? Yes. Every killer getting a 4k every match? No. Nobody would play survivor if they can never have a chance at escaping. The desired balance has always been 2k and 2 escape.

Shes not 4king though, shea getting 3ks on average.

Which is still 1k per game over the desired kill rate. Hence the coming changes.

If survivors were escaping on average 3 escapes per game against the Spirit wouldnt you think she'd need a buff to bring her to the 2 escape/2kill ratio?

  • See this statement would hold true if we were talking about freddy but its not just casuals complaining about spirits theres a ton of veterans doing it as well but yeah those darn casuals.

Yet by doing that it betrays its dedicated players in favor of those who dont intend to stay

No, it's more about its addictive nature + the individualism. If any other dev team would pull out a dbd like game but much more balanced and with less DLCs it would kill dbd. It just hasnt hapoened (yet). But if that happens I can tell you for sure that DLCs won't rescue it.

That's the thing, a killer is "overpreforimg" but we havent been told factors as to why. She hasnt had an above average kill rate until recently, I would assume given how its just now being addressed.

Obliviously her kill rate is rising, shes a strong killer and after nurses nerf that made her extremely tedious to play people saw another viable killer to play.

Look at instas and keys, after instas were nerfed were seeing keys alot more. Why? Because it's the next best item, whether or not its balanced or not you see the trend.

There are factors about her killer rate, we haven't gotten all the details yet either. And shouldn't make assumptions based on it until we can filter these anomalies.

I 100% agree we should wait until we have more details. I dont think they'd base their decision on her "over performing" on the short period since the nurse changes. I think a lot of things have changed since the devs last released their statistics and I think these changes have likely increased the Spirits lethality. Hopefully when the recent stats are released, like they said they would, it'll shed some more light on the situation as a whole.

  • But knowing the devs we probably wont
