I consider tunneling to be going after the person that was just unhooked (most recently unhooked) and isn't progressing the game currently, as in they aren't on a gen. And only targeting one person until they are dead I'd consider hard tunneling.

In the future, yes, but it's honestly hard to tell when they happen. If you really want to save money, I'd wait until the mid chapter and see if anything goes on sale, but I doubt it's any sooner than that.
Ah okay! Thanks for the answer, I tend not to buy cosmetics often cause they're quite expensive especially legendaries. So maybe I'll wait till the end of the year to make sure.
-
Yeah, probs just best to leave for a couple weeks and then come back, or not at all 😂 Probably what I'll do, solo queue has been very unfun, so it's always good to have a break.
-
Their in-game reporting system doesn't do anything. They probably just have it there so that it makes it easier to find the match you were talking about if you submit a ticket on their website. Which means most people who "report" people actually haven't gotten that person banned at all for cheating.

Killer requires insanely high skill atm, and the matchamking is 100% broken. i keep getting dumbass teammates. and when i play as Killer its always god like survivors
huh, I've been winning (3k or more) on killer most of the time and have been losing a lot more as survivor since the midchapter, killer is probably in the best state its ever been in with all the survivor nerfs and killer base buffs. Tho true on the god like opponents and then noob teammates.
-
Most killers win now due to the midchapter patch, killers have plenty of opportunitys to win, maybe you need more practice or better perks or try a different killer. I dont think the survivors are the issue...

Huge Resident Evil geek here!
Let's me start first with one of my favorite characters, Ada Wong!
- Dead By Daylights Ada W(r)ong simply doesn't look good. Her face and hair don't look well made. Deeply dissatisfied with her! The only good thing about her is her dress. I like the design. Trench coat was also on point! I'm expecting a rework of her face at least. Let's hope we won't have to wait for a year!
Next up, Skin Prices!
- Seems like Ada received "the Jill treatment" when it comes to prices. Ada Wong in her alternate skin (trench coat) has the same legs... Why the price isn't lowered? It's not fair. You did the same thing with Jill Valentine... Jill has two same heads and you decided to put the price as if it's a full outfit. Very greedy from BHVR! If you decide to be fair you should compensate people who already bought skins!
Feng and Felix cosplays?
- I was so hyped when I saw RE5 Chris being added as a skin. I though I was blind when I browsed through Leon skins catalog and couldn't find it and then I was shocked seeing it on Felix? Why on earth would you do this? Felix doesn't fit the role at all. I have a feeling that people who came up with this decision never played Resident Evil games. I'd highly suggest to play games first in order to get the idea who fits the criteria for a certain character cosplay. Same goes for Feng. You have two same skins in the store which doesn't make any sense. If you planned Feng for Jill cosplay then why did you go for the same outfit? Feng could have had BSAA Jill for example...
You should give other characters more spotlight. I'm sick of seeing Feng and Meg in the rift and the store. I understand you have statistics on top character picks but please... Tone it down. I'm becoming Fengphobic!
Some bugs can't be postponed until the next chapter for example! Bugs like Sadako demanifesting in front of survivor making it impossible for others to save, rubber-banding and etc... Sometimes I have a feeling BHVR is too slow with fixes.
Thanks everyone who decided to read this.
Yeah, about the skin prices... it's unfortunate they've continued to do this. Like they have the ability to just have the torso and head put up for sale but they resell the same default cosmetic and have it set at full price. And the head is only different because of glasses, so even at that point I think it should be cheapened. They did this with jill, they did this with ada and they did this with rebecca, just took the hat from the torso and made it connected to the head in order to make it "different"

I would rather have it be a one time use for like 60 per hook stage, than what it currently is.
Yeah thats certainly another option, makes it less confusing that way 😅
-
Why should killers get rewarded for slugging? I dont think this is necessary, if you want a slugged survivors aura, use the perk.
-
This challenge sounds near impossible 😪
-
I was about to come on here and complain about it, like an already pretty unuseful perk, and is really just for memeing, has been nerfed...
-
Sounds like it would extrememly benefit the killer in a 2v1 scenario or when there's 1 survivor left and hatch is closed, since the strategy for that is start opening up the gate just before the red light shows and let go, then wait for the killer to come and check the gate and leave, then finish opening that gate.
So I think this would be a bad idea. Would make it pretty much impossible to escape against the killer in these scenarios, and it is already quite difficult to escape in solo queue right now, so no thanks.
-
Gonna try and wait for a sale even tho I love Resident Evil. But I'm trying to limit my purchases for dbd.

Farming is special thing. Not the norm. If you play the game normally, you will 100% get more BP on avarage when playing killer. Or said in a dofferent way... The best way to prestige your nea is to play killers as spend points on survivor. That's a little bit messed up. Don't you think?

Sadako can phase into a hooked survivors and entirely prevent a survivor from being unhooked since survivors will not get the prompts to unhook (because the Sadako player is blocking it). It's been an issue for awhile now (like since before the midchapter update, I believe) however nobody really used it until after the midchapter update.
For perspective, it's kind of like facecamping back in 2016, when survivors could only unhook from a single direction. There is literally no counterplay at all to it.
Oh wow, I had no idea, that's a pretty big issue.
-
Yeah, sad they left solo queue in the dust. I think this 6.1.0 patch would have been good if they had also introduced solo q buffs, but they didn't which has made solo q pretty unbearable, and they don't seem to be introducing anything for solo queue for the next year (according to their year roadmap) which is VERY disappointing and I hope they do a suprise patch introducing some changes sooner rather than later.
-
Its absolutely fine. Bhvr don't touch basekit bt. It doesn't need to be like every other survivor perk where it ends when gates are powered, killers shouldn't be able to just slap a survivor down as they just get off the hook, even in endgame. If 5 seconds or the proposed 10 seconds thats coming is too powerful, or unfair for you, you need to rethink your "playstyle".

I'm affraid that would make the game borderline unplayable for killers. Think about it: How many times do you see survivors running the best builds, items, addons and offerings and how many are there per match? I know that not everyone is like that but often enough you see lobbies so stacked with items, addons and offerings that you know for a fact the game was rigged against you.
I don't think survivors earning just as much bloodpoints as killers will make it unplayable for killers. I play both sides and just want to get an fair amount of bloodpoints no matter which side I play so I can get tier 3 perks on all characters. Survivors can be spending all their points on one character anyways and be using a bunch of items every game. Why should killers get more bloodpoints to spend on addons, perks and offerings and not survivors?

I think survivor should get same amount of bp/minute as killer does. It makes very little sense that e.g. bubba that facecamped and hook traded whole game (so one small chase at the beginning and then staying on 1 spot) that gets 4-out gets 20k bp and survivors in that game only like 24k. But if killer chases/playes correctly and wins, he gets 32-40k while survivors get around 16k+-8k. It should be normalized
Exactly. I don't understand why there's such a big gap between bloodpoints earned for survivors vs killers.
-
A lot of killers will take this opportuinty for an easy kill, since anyone with no mither is now 1 shot they'll just go for you and get you out of the game quickly unfortunately. You just gotta keep trying and hope either the killer takes pitty on you or you get lucky with a bad killer.
-
Bringing this post back to life with some tweaks.
-
The only reason dh received a change was because of it being imbalanced. It doesn't need to be changed again after it just received a massive one. It also doesn't need to be nerfed in to the ground with the changes you're suggesting. It's a balanced perk now, and does not need to be touched in any way.
I know this post is a joke, but just in case some people actually come on here and wholeheartedly agree, this is my response lol.
-
Zarina, Elodie, Feng, Yui and Adam for original characters
But if they were able to get some more liscensed characters for tomes, I'd love to see Yoichi and Sadako as well as Myers and Laurie.
Annoying that they still have several original characters that don't have tomes but the most recent tomes have been David again (though this was about revealing his sexuality so he gets a pass), Jonah and next we're getting Mikaela. Like why give tomes to some of the most recent original survivors when they've had other characters sitting there without one for YEARS. Like poor feng has been in the game for 5 years without a tome but Jonah who released at the end of last year gets one first?
-
Hmm not sure. Perhaps making it so her blink attacks aren't counted a basic attacks, so perks for basic attacks don't activate on a killer that can teleport through everything. I'd also say maybe removing the ability to teleport through floors, as this makes it easy on small 2 leveled maps to go around and 1 shotting survivors with starstruck for example, then the nurse would at least have to travel to stairs to travel up or down a floor like everyone else. I'd also get those range addons nerfed because they are insanely strong.
-
@jesterkind said:
The short answer is, they don't.
People have good reason to complain about some things in the game without it being a refusal to counter it. You may as well have asked "why do people refuse to learn how to play against Dead Hard" pre-rework, and it'd be the same situation; people did, and it wasn't enough, because that perk was actually unbalanced. You could still win matches against Dead Hard, but that wasn't really the point.
Same with Nurse.
Exactly exactly. No one's refusing to learn how to play against her, whether you know how or not, she is still insanely strong, and no longer fits the game anymore with the way she currently is. Her mechanics allow her to disregard her environment/surroundings, map design, perk design, survivors perks in ways that make her too strong and unlike any other killer, thus perks being altered to fit with her design as otherwise she'd be even stronger. I don't know how people don't see her as a problem.
-
I think I only really do if I was one of the last 2 people left, and then I died. Then I'll usually stick around to see if that person make it out.
-
This is why I bring sole survivor now, so at least if people die or dc, I at least get some benefits to help me escape. Though I have been giving up much more recently, it's more like when there are 3 gens and 2 other survivors left and there's no point.
-
Yeah, killer queues are long as a lot of survivors have either stopped playing or moved to killer since the most recent patch that had a bunch of killer buffs and meta changes. Which makes sense because solo queue survivor is kinda unbearable right now.
-
This is the problem I have with the silent hill map, they need to at least address that one because it's insane they are right across from each other on a tiny map, it's near impossible to escape as the only survivor, or if the killer has noed and is guarding the gates.
-
I do think nurse sucks, but I can't fault people for using something that's part of the game. I can however fault bhvr for not doing anything about it tho
-
I think punishing tunneling and camping is still important to deter killers from doing so, but also having incentives for killers to encourage them to not do so in a positive way, should be something they add as well.

we recover from certain actions 0.3 seconds faster. wow how game changing (sarcasm, this changed literally nothing).
I don't think you read the patch notes lmao.
-
Yall literally got a bunch of buffs to base killer, calm down. Its only increased by 3.
-
This is why they should just rework nurse, not adjust perks because of her lol.

Solo survivors don't need buffs of any kind.
They need to start repairing gens more and stop playing badly. Low survival rates are entirely due to poor tactical decisions, cockiness and entitlement.
Haha, thats funny dude.

Feng, Felix, Dwight, Kate, and Meg all deserve a year where they get 0 cosmetics. Jake gets a pass since before this year his most recent cosmetic was from December 2020. David and Nea I am very on the fence about.
######### you, Feng Min. And ######### you, Felix Richter, Dwight Fairfield, Kate Denson, and Meg Thomas. And a semi-######### you to David and Nea.
Feng doesn't deserve to be singled out, but she does deserve to stop receiving so many goddamn skins. Yui, Adam, Elodie, Haddie, and Zarina deserve more.
Yes! I would very much like more from Yui, Adam, Elodie, Haddie, Zarina and Yun-jin. But yeah, I just don't like when people single out feng.
-
I'm trying to learn to not do that anymore. If I go and help and get downed, none of my teammates have the decency to help me back. It's just not worth it in solo queue anymore, I get left to die too often. You kinda just have to look out for you at the end of the match.
-
Tired of seeing people complain about feng getting new cosmetics, when dwight, meg, nea and felix get cosmetics just as often, if not more. And obviously they're going to give cosmetics to popular survivors, as they're more likely to sell that way.
Should other survivors get a turn over them? Yes, but people always only ever bring up feng, which I think is just unfair.
It would be nice if feng, dwight, meg, nea and felix didn't get cosmetics for a while and gave everyone else a go. I'd like to see Elodie, Yun-jin, Yui, Adam and Zarina get some love.
-
It was unneccessary to nerf the stun time. What r we supposed to do with 3 seconds of stun time????? Tunneling is more prevalent than ever and they nerf 1 of 2 anti-tunnel perks that we have...

I would def like to see Re5 Jill. Re4 Ada, Leon noir re2 and chris re8.

Yep, the game is still survivor sided. All you need is actually trying to win.
75 win streak.... with a swf. Thats very different. So the game isn't survivor sided. It's swf sided. Solo queue is still extremely rough and killers win easily against us 75% of the time. Game is definetly not survivor sided currently, in the past yes, but not with the most recent patch. It is however swf sided, and always has been.

What do you expect Killers to do?
Spreading pressure isn't worth it when the current meta Perks are all about 3-Genning and camping a single area. Tunneling makes that even easier by forcing a 3v1
Thats why I'm asking bhvr to do something about it.
-
Yeah I'd love to get leon's re4 outfit or Claire. But it probably won't happen unfortunately
-
With how gens and killer are now, the perk does not need a nerf. Maybe before killers were buffed and gens were shorter it could have used a nerf, but it doesn't need to be touched now.
-
Hopefully they are looking into a rework for her or something. I would guess if they are (hopefully) working on one, it probably won't be implemented till next year in all honesty.

I don't even get shards?? Literally I own so few costumes, and I'm just out of luck because you picked one of like ten cosmetics I already own to include with this month's prime?? You couldn't even be bothered to change the color or something, I just don't get anything???
This kinda sucks, ngl.
Yeah, sucks there's no compensation for those who already have the cosmetic, even just automatically giving out shards to those who had it. Though they shouldn't have given it out for prime in the first place, that's the least they could do.

People have a right to complain when the product (both the prime gaming loot for this game and the rift pass) is not what was advertised.
Exactly! Annoying when people use the excuse that it's "free" (though it's technically not) that doesn't mean they can put out lazy products when they've promised/advertised exclusivity.
