She's supposed to have a sort of static TV effect while Demanifested. So not a bug

I have only received the very first newsletter being the gambling charm or whatever
never received a single email after that

Theres 3 different ways to use FotD.
At loops you can hug the wall and use it, making it so they spawn on the other side. Where this comes in handy is the skeletons spawning inside the Survivor usually not giving them enough time to react unless theyre actively looking out for it
You can use it once theyre going towards a window al though this is a mindgame since youre recovery is a bit too long for a reaction
And finally, if a Survivor is on an elevated surface, you can use FotD and theyre only option is dodging. Because the hitbox is a bit lower they cant crouch it, and its not like Artist where the birds go over/under elevations at the start of their flight. This works best if a Survivor is going up stairs, or even small elevations like the cart on Chapel , or the pallet at main entrace on Asylum.
As for his other abilities Im not so sure other than Fly being a very good tool at catching back up after a hit, but Im pretty confident with FotD.

Hes a micro management killer, knowing when and how to use your abilities at the correct times definitely takes some learning, as well as rotating them properly as pressing all your buttons at once will leave you as a basic M1 killer.
His perks are decent, Languid Touch I see as a potential meta pick since it has a few synergies. Dark Arrogance also seems pretty good and will be quite scary with Bambam.
Id recommend it. His high skill ceiling means youre gonna be getting quite a bit of value out of him from just learning, and his aesthetics are great which is a bonus

You're exactly right. Sadly I don't think they'll ever address it.
Ok now I understand having different opinions, how ever in this case its fact and this is just wrong.

I dont think theres a single killer thats better to play on console than on PC. Billy is no exception
-
Its a no brainer for me since this is BY FAR the chapter with the most effort put in. The map is great, Vecna himself has one of the coolest powers and you truly feel like an effortless machine when playing him, and the Survivor has such fun perks.
Overall this chapter is fat dub, no complaints here

This isnt the place to ask this

Speaking of patch note, can you confirm whether or not the Scamper change is getting reverted?
I can't see why it would be reverted considering this dev update only had changes from PTB and whats going to live

A bug

Survivors
nothing scarier than minding my own business as killer and then getting stunned by a pallet out of nowhere

Don't get me wrong, I like the Mori's but a lot of them are kinda just mehh when it comes to creatively ending a survivor. Like Trappers for example, I kinda expect to be bland since he's the first killer, but like the others could definitely be better.
[My personal rating on a scale from 1-10, 10 being the best]
Trapper - 2
Wraith - 1
Hillbilly - 3
Nurse - 3
Hag - 8
Shape - 5
Doctor - 6
Huntress - 3
Cannibal - 5
Nightmare - 2
Pig - 2
Clown - 3
Spirit - 3
Legion - 5
Plague - 5
Ghostface - 9
Demogorgon - 7
Oni - 6
Deathslinger - 6
Executioner - 8
Blight - 5
Twins (rated their 2 mori's together) - 6
Trickster - 5
Nemesis - 4
Cenobite - 8
Artist - 6
Onryo - 5
Dredge - 8
Mastermind - 6
Knight - 8
Skull Merchant - 3
Singularity - 8
Xenomorph - 7
Good Guy - 6
Unknown - 8
———————————————————————————-
Vecna - 9My OCD seeing Hag before Myers on the list
But yeah the earlier mori's definitely need an update. The OG 3 are a joke compared to what were getting nowadays

Just because you yourself made mistakes does not mean that the mistakes you are remarking did not happen, both sides should be open to criticism.
I mean, yeah, but again theres no reason or gain to point out some one elses mistakes.
Oh no! They didnt go for the save when they shouldve! womp womp. no need to booboo wa wa about it

Well if people are unable to take criticism when it is based on facts then that is their issue, if somebody wants to be ignorant there is not much you can do, but you cannot really blame the guy being rude about it if all he faces is ignorance on the other guys side.
I mean those who are try to "correct" other peoples gameplay were most likely doing something wrong as well, and its not like theyre open to criticism either at that point.
So yeah Imma blame em,

It is all a matter of the tone and not the content right... But depending on how big the missplay and the resulting loss I don't think it is too hard to understand that the tone will get rougher.
Yeah, and most peoples tones definitely arent the nicest. If some one screws up, so be it since lets be real, no one is going to take criticism from some random on a videogame.
Ive tried myself to give advice in endgame chat, still do from time to time but it falls on deaf ears because as whats said above. 99% of the time theyre just upset and are trying to blame it on something/some one other than themselves and theres no reasoning with those kinds of people.

Dota 2… not everything is absolute, there are always people that try to be helpful... No matter what game I always try to give people tips when they seem to be struggling...
You really should not just assume that people only insult and trash talk and don't try to be helpful at first. Otherwise if engaging with people online only results in toxicity why do you guys even play multi-player games if everyone is always toxic anyways.
Im well aware there are some that try to be helpful and most people I come across in most games are chill and pretty cool to hang around with. But the moment some one starts criticizing mine or some one else's gameplay they usually arent so chill about it
I personally do remain calm and just try to sort of talk them out of it. But if they yappin, imma start packin 🗣
-
...what is the issue here?
how did it cost you the game?
-
Ive learned that not knowing what youre running going into a game is one of the funnest things Ive done since Ive started playing.

In other games people usually tell you that you are doing something wrong before they flame you, but in dbd that option does not exist so it goes to the insults straight away...

The lower your survivor MMR - the higher the chance of getting potato teammates in soloQ.
The higher your killer MMR - the higher the chance of getting SWF sweat-squads in killer queue.
You get both regardless because of how bad it is, I wouldnt stress about it.

I don't know about everyone, but I mostly play this mode for two reasons: bp bonus and the ability to die in soloQ and safely win as killer without affecting my MMR. I guess a lot of others are the same: people enjoy this mode because it helps with the grind and you don't suffer from MMR. This could be any other mode whatsoever, even if they just made a plain copy of the regular mode with these two properties, it would be much more popular than the regular one.
Why do you care about MMR..?

just because it's in the game for a long time, doesn't mean it's intended
It is actually intended
Trap buffering was a bug all the way back in 2016-2017 and was patched out. When Trapper got his mini rework back in 2018 they reintroduced and explained in a dev stream that it encouraged teamwork and that it could get Survivors out of almost unwinnable situations, such as certain basements.

Cool. I still really don't understand why ppl love this mode so much but I'm happy for them. I know alot of ppl love this modifier. Personally tho my matches didn't feel anymore different in this mode vs normal matches. Maybe I'm just so burnt out that even this mode isn't fun for me.
If you wanna make it fun install a blank perk pack
Trust me, popping Adrenaline when you didnt even know you had Adrenaline in the middle of a chase makes you feel like you have protagonist plot armor

Chaos Shuffle has been some of the most fun Ive had while playing this game, especially when using an icon pack that makes all perk icons blank
Thinking youre dead from jumping off main building only to start running at mach speed afterwards because of Balanced Landing that I didnt know I had, or being able to dumpy tech some one thanks to Enduring.
Please devs, this needs to stay

trapper should be 120
Thatd probably be the most boring buff they could give him. Would it help? Sure, but its not like this would elevate him to even B tier.
Id make Makeshift Wrap basekit and add some sort of risk to disarming his traps

Why would it be difficult for newer players? effects stay mostly the same, just the numbers are different.
I think it doesnt make a difference for newer players if pop gets 15, 20 or 30% off a gen…And there are already enough numbers to remember, to be told that perks now have different values under certain conditions is just way too much and will even be difficult for experienced players to keep track of.

We're just never gonna admit that a killer nerf was unnecessary, are we? Whether it's Blight, Freddy, Pig, or Trapper, there's always gonna be some excuse why it was needed. Even I at least budge on certain things, like pre-nerf Rat and Crow combined was probably too strong. Not one person has budged on Freddy and Slinger supposedly being S tier at their peak. They said it and believed it, and that's enough for them.
But it was because it was unfun as hell to go against, and I highly doubt it was thrilling to do it as well
This change makes him feel less clunky, less frustrating to verse, and more fun to play. Just because you can't do something, doesnt mean others cant

A hit every few seconds? That doesn't sound right.
It doesn't matter how often he gets his ability if I can't land it because I'm on console. Like most high speed abilities, survivors can just twitch at the last second, and it won't turn fast enough to hit them. So killer sensitivity needs to be upped, or more logically survivor turning needs to be slowed (which those canceled new animations a while back would have fixed), or we can keep kicking this can down the road, and keep nerfing killers because of PC-exclusive techs/flicks. It happened to Deathslinger, it happened to Blight, and it's happening again now.
Flicking with him isnt necessary to play him, and even on controller you can still do just fine since he can correct himself just as well as M&K while running and his hitbox is very generous. Also just because a killer is harder to play on console doesnt mean they shouldnt be looked at.
In all 3 cases mentioned here they were simply removing frustrating parts of a killers power while still keeping them viable. Slinger was and still is a very solid killer, Blight is most likely still in the top 5, and now Chucky will be more fun to play as and against while also still being a top pick.
-
already on PC, but cant wait to relive my past by playing on switch and having terrible graphics and framerate :)
-
Totally agree, especially since Zubat gave me the wonderful idea of putting on a perk icon pack that makes everything blank
that way you dont even know what youre running :)
-
Ehhh Im not too much a fan of this and its for one reason: new players. They already have way too many perks to keep track of, and adding more numbers to that would be even more overwhelming
Also as for your DS thing and losing collision. Thats actually already the case, and you can actually just run right over bear traps unarmed within a short period of time after getting off the killers shoulder by any means
-
Hunt Showdown
I dont play the game much nowadays, but there is plenty of material to work with there

and killer :)

Not much you can do. They really don't seem to care for players who want something more competitive on either side. The 2v8 announcement really killed my hopes for a competitive game mode.
With any other community I would agree, but a competitive mode has no place in this game considering people were getting upset at losing their rank when it didnt even matter.
If anything a competitive mode would be the 5v5 that they mentioned in that 1 survey, which imo would be cool as hell.
-
I wouldnt change a thing since Pinhead is FAR from the weakest killer in the game. A solid chase power, built in slowdown, and even a mobility tool (which granted isnt very consistent, but of course its not like hes suffering because of it)
-
I dont understand why they dont just make a "party" mode. Where all modifiers rotate every day/hour(s).
Maybe when a new one is released tho its the only one available for a week or so, just so they can get better feedback
