His collision being more consistent feels nice, but its definitely something I and a lot of others will need to get use to.

Not sure what everyone else is talking about, but he's definitely weaker. He was literally nerfed.
Chucky is a high skill ceiling killer that is heavily overlooked thanks to being able to just scamper under pallets from neutral, basically guaranteeing a hit every few seconds. Old Legion could do something similar.
Now for those who wouldnt rely on that, theyre gonna benefit from it HEAVILY as they cut his cooldown from 1/3. That means more lethality and stealth across the board.
-
My first game as killer yesterday I got Devour, Pentimento, Haunted and Blood Favor
I too was surprised
-
I see it similar to something like a SWF using discord, or using filters.
Does it give an advantage? Absolutely, but I wouldnt call it cheating.

I'd enjoy it a lot more if it was just… an option. Randomise your perk loadout, one button and it selects 4 random perks you've got on that character and you can then change perks as you want.
This, honestly all I want is like a "challenge" tab (not tomes) where you can give yourself a downside but get extra BP because of it.

Look at the dates on the log-in reward calandar

If Im not mistaken things usually go live at about 12 ET (roughly 15 min at the time of writing this) unless there was another date mentioned in the livestream?

This is the other one what I do not understand. Why the killer wasting their time? Why not the 4th survivor who not come and give the hook to the killer? They try to get out even tho the other one have to bleed out. It is not sweaty? Then why it is from the killer to try to find the 4th and get the 4k?
Because the killer has already won at this point and still has a chance (a better one at that) at finding the hatch before the last Survivor since he can cover more ground. Meanwhile the Survivor is left with basically 1 option, stealth it out for 4 minutes since who realistically wants to give up?

Not sure about God, I voiced my own concern. You must be new to the gameplay or the current state of DbD I assume.
Yes I am sorry sir 🙏

Emotes? So that team mates start meme-ing instead of doing gens. No thanks. The "crouch-slap" and "repeated-crouch" "techs" are way too common already at the beginning of a match.
god forbid they have fun

boring and unnecessary. You are wasting your own time as well as 2 other peoples time because you want an extra 2k bloodpoints

The reason is you have to divide the Prestige of Meg by 10. A general rule for all Meg-players. So your P100-Meg is actually a P10-regular Survivor.
@Topic:
Yeah, agreed. In general, ALL information (aside from Characters and Items) should be removed from the Killer. No point in them seeing names and profiles, gameplay-wise there is no reason to show this to the Killer.
Or they put a penalty on Lobby-dodging, which increases the wait time by lets say 30 seconds each time a Killer dodges a Lobby. It is mind-baffling that they are allowed to go for the easiest games they can find without any real penalty, that they can shop lobbies until they found 4 players with low hours or something like that.(In general, Killers dont use the information in the pregame Lobby to prepare, they just use it to dodge. And this is not the purpose of the pregame Lobby)
This I also agree with. Im not opposed to having prestiges hidden in the pregame lobby, but it shouldnt be a reason not to play your main.

it’s not a placebo effect just because it doesn’t happen to you. BHVR beta tested hiding lobby prestige’s because of so many complaints from people having this issue. Glad it doesn’t seem to happen to you but it does happen. Same reason why I barely play my P100 Sheva anymore unless I’m in a full SWF.
And they havent released that data, nor have they taken action since.
Probably a good indication that theres barely a difference if any
-
Not only is Head On predictable after like the 2nd time they do it while theyre swarming you, its limited.
-
All I can say is that its most likely placebo
I myself have a P100 meg, and Ive started playing David (P11) more since he was my 2nd main survivor back in the day and I've noticed absolutely no difference in my games.
Would it be nice to have prestiges hidden? I mean sure, but I guarantee you it wont make a difference. Go play with your main. -

they are. Way too good. Survivors can just throw themselves at me, with no way for me to punish them. If you call this balanced in any way, you are delusional
DH can be countered by Blight in some instances by baiting it. Rush into a wall next to them and either run past them or slam next to them.
That being said you will eat most DH's if the Survivors are sentient, but its not like its that bad considering you can just catch up to them very quickly.

As a Japanese person, let me provide some additional context.
The tier list in the original post reflects the perspective of players from a company that operates a game strategy website in Japan. They believe that by using the strongest combination of addons from each killer, it's easier to aim for a 4K. This is why Michael is ranked highly, as his addons like Tombstone make it easier to aim for an instant kill, quickly eliminating one survivor from the game and gaining an advantageous position.
On the same website, there is also a tier list created collaboratively by users who use the site.
https://us.v-cdn.net/6030815/uploads/CMM22KNVCU7T/img-1144.jpeg
This list might be closer to the tier list of killers on the Asia server. However, when looking at tier lists from various Japanese streamers, the consensus is generally Nurse > blight > Spirit, but opinions differ below that.
In the Asia server, players focus on how survivors can cooperate to complete generators and escape, as well as whether the killer can protect generators and secure a 4K within that time frame. There are fewer complaints about tunneling and camping compared to the EU and NA servers. Additionally, while there are some instances of sabotage and flashlight saves in SWF, survival takes priority, so perks like Self-Care and Botany Knowledge are meta.
If you're interested in the Asian environment, try coming in with a VPN. There are fewer people giving up or disconnecting, so solo queue might be more comfortable to play in compared to the EU and NA servers.
Man ######### a VPN Im about to move to Japan

What if the chapter isnt Dungeons and Dragons... but instead its just a collection similar to AoT or Iron Maiden where theres a sort of mini "event" for them.
DnD has a lot of potential dont get me wrong, but as some have already mentioned its sort of an odd addition to be an anniversary chapter as basically no one was asking for it.

There's a difference between opening new possibilities to handle a situation and said new possibilities being too strong. Its entirely possible for it to not be overpowered yet be missed because its an option that has been removed that could have otherwise been applied. Apologies for continuing to harp on fighting games on this one, but you see it every new iteration of a character if/when they have abilities removed in subsequent iterations. They're clearly minor enough that the character maintains their identity without them, but they are still almost always missed by the people who played said characters in previous iterations. Simple things like crossups or safe jumps don't make or break a character but the players certainly miss them if they get removed, because they lost a reasonable tool from their arsenal.
You can have the argument that hug tech isn't a reasonable tool, and that is your opinion. My entire argument stemmed from the idea that "unintended automatically = bad" is an incorrect mindset to begin with.
That last sentence, absolutely agree with.
It really upsets me when devs do such a thing, and Ive had a similar experience with another game called For Honor where they recently reworked a character and removed a very niche, but fun and hard to pull off thats been in the game for 6 years because, in the devs words: "well... it wasnt very effective to begin with.. and it was unintended since the start so... yeah we removed it" (Ill post the clip if I can find it later, thats basically word for word)
Most techs are good for the game, they show skill expression and in some cases it has a never ending skill ceiling.
-
You can simply let the skill check go (similar to not even attempting hitting a struggle skill check) and it wont consume your DS, meaning you can save it for your 2nd hook
-
@Marioneo said:
https://forums.bhvr.com/dead-by-daylight/discussion/413898/why-did-they-remove-hug-tech
it was not intended design your not supposed to slide off things only bounce so it got removed doesn't matter how fun it is
There are so many things in so many games that are unintended but become an integral part of the game. We actually have an example of this happening in the past with trap buffering. At first it was a bug and was patched out, but then when Trapper received his rework in 2018 they reintroduced it.
As for examples in other games, Apex Legends and movement. Every little tech is clearly unintended but it quickly became embraced by the devs and now they actually show up in gameplay trailers.
TF2 who has all sort of movement techs with rocket jumping or demo surf (or whatever its called lol)
Removing techs reduces the skill ceiling and replayability of a game, and unless its completely broken (which hug tech was not) there is no reason to remove it.
-
Im thinking a totem should only be lit after all Survivors are cursed unless stated otherwise (in the case of Plaything, Two Can Play, etc)
-
Finally, I can play DbD on my switch on my upcoming flight (i swear im not addicted)
-
Trapper was the first (and possibly the only one) killer I P100'd. He has a neverending skill ceiling and he's also one of, if not the most versatile killer in the game. Making almost any perk work with the right build.

The purpose was to give setup killers some time to do their stuff
No, the purpose was to make soloQ completely unplayable even against weak killers.
Solo Q was no where near as bad back then, were talking late 2019 early 2020 here and there werent nearly as many complaints about Solo Q then.

Doesnt billy even have a slide tech to? I've gotten it only to work like once on accident. (I rushed at a car and slid along it for some reason before hitting a survivor)
There are certain surfaces that you simply dont bump into as Billy
Filler loops that have a car and truck on Autohaven, and the car on the side of the school on Badham are probably the most well known.

I agree, I thought Nemesis was really well done aesthetically when he was released, (and dont get me wrong he is, as with all chapters) but when you compare him to his source material it truly is a downgrade
Nemesis in RE3make is a lot more pronounced and dramatic with his movements, making you feel how powerful he really is.
That being said.. just because his movements are a lot more pronounced, doesnt mean they failed to show just how fast and agile he is. Its something thats very unexpected for something thats so big but thats what makes it special.
Then you have his voice... its roars and basically any noise it makes in game has this sort of metalic sound to it which makes it sound much more threatning and angrier, rather than what we have which is more of a deep growl.
https://youtu.be/Etx1v5iPrwE?si=eP4DY3MSOMs38q6LThe video above showcases what I mean. This is purely about aesthetics, the power I could go on a rant about as well but this post is long enough.
-
They can still see the shimmer, which as a player youre going to be able to spot with relative ease if youre paying attention.
Dont see why this is an issue with bots being able to do the same
-
Domination
There are 3 capture points, all of which are visible to the killer and survivors. Since theres only 1 killer and 4 survivors, he can capture it much faster than the survivors, and hooking survivors awards more points. For each survivor on the point the capture speed increases. Controlling a capture point adds to the total score for the team per second, and the initial capture awards bonus points. Losing the control zone takes away these bonus points.
Once a certain threshold is reached on 1 side the enemy team starts breaking. If the killer side is breaking the exit gates are powered and survivors can leave freely. If the survivor side is breaking they all become exposed, have their aura revealed, and can be killed by the killers own hand.

I really hope Switch 2 comes out next year, Peanits, so current Switch players can upgrade our consoles the way PS4 and XBOX ONE upgraded to PS5 and XBOX Series X/S

It's not for no reason though @Shroompy. I play on Nintendo Switch. Throwing a Hatchet at 15 FPS won't hurt anyone unless they're literally standing still.
I just wanted opinions but I'm not ignoring the Hatchets for no reason. As I mentioned above, I'm hoping for a Switch 2 Upgrade next year.
I understand that playing at 15fps can be challenging as I played at that for over 2000 hours thanks to a dog PC. But wasting money on a skin for a character youre basically not even playing isnt worth it imo.

Thing is Helldivers isnt a PvP game, and there arent really any other 4v1 games to learn off of considering DbD has always been at the top of the genre. You also have to take into consideration that both sides have 2 completely different objectives, which weve seen doesnt really work in a multitude of games. There is always one side that is favored more than the other no matter how small.
With all that being said Id say DbD is pretty balanced for what it is, and the pacing of said balance has definitely increased over the years. Could it be better? Absolutely, as there is always room for improvement.
-
I played Trickster with no knives back when he was first released because I wanted his adept. (his emblems were bugged at the time, his power wouldnt properly count towards chase) It definitely wasnt easy considering he's fairly loud while in chase with how much he laughs and hes bright yellow. Huntress is louder, has a more distinct lullaby, and is taller. Playing a 110% with no power is definitely going to get old after a few games since youre handicapping yourself for no reason, and itll probably get old after a few games.
-
We’re heading into our 9th Year! Alongside a brand-new Chapter coming in the 8.0.0 Update, we’ve prepared a large number of balance changes and quality of life improvements for existing content. As always, these adjustments will head to the Public Test Build (PTB) shortly where we’ll collect feedback and make some tweaks…
-
Basically nothing since those changes you mentioned are only coming out in next weeks PTB
-
I absolutely love this new look, MUCH better than what we have now
-
When BP was 150% it wasnt used that often, bringing it back to that would just make the perk obscure again, so the reduced exhaustion is a fair compensation.

Used to be better on Legion, when things like Sloppy activated on Frenzy hits.
Frenzy, Franklin's hit everyone and DC
This was back before Legion was in the game and I ran into him all the time. I forgot his name but it was something along the lines of "Flashlight Thief"
-
My favorite part of P2P was this infamous Bubba player who would find people with flashlights, hit 1 of them with Franklins and then DC so they lost it lol
Should tell you just about how no one gaf back then, it was chaos and I loved it. No way were getting that kind of community again unfortunately.

The noob stompers of todays DbD are most likely Doc, Legion, Ceno, Unknown, and basically any of the stealth killers. The 3 mentioned all provide great information and slowdown, Unknown requires Survivors to look behind them in a chase, which not many new players do, and stealth killers take away the heartbeat, so theyre less likely to hop on a gen.
Whenever I first started the noob stompers were Wraith and Doc, who were both awful when you look at todays standards (they were still awful back then as well)
Wraith couldnt do anything other than vault while cloaked, meaning if he wanted to kick a gen (which was just slightly faster than kicking a pallet) he would of had to uncloak, kick, then cloak. He also didnt have a built in speed burst after uncloaking, that was old Windstorm but it came at the cost of his movement speed while uncloaking. His cloak movement speed was 126.5% (compared to todays 150%), his bell and whoosh sound was map wide, he made a little bone rattle noise at the beginning of uncloaking, AND he started ringing the bell the moment he started uncloaking, rather than midway through.
Doc was also very different, he had to switch between 2 modes: Treatment and Punishment.
Treatment mode made survivors passively build madness within his terror radius thanks to his static field, the closer they were to him the faster they would build madness. Treatmode also allowed him to send out a shock, but the range was very little (I think 6m?) ... and didnt interrupt survivors like they do now. It was purely an ability to build up madness. While in treatment he also had a slower movement speed.
Switching to punishment mode was him just being an M1 killer, nothing special about it. But it did slow him down while doing so.
The best part is both of these killers were even worst before I started playing, and thats not even taking into account how much stronger survivors were back then. Pallets at every spawn... bigger loops... god windows... pallet vaccuums.. insta blinds, insta heals.. the list goes on.
-
Ill always remember the game I had with him back in 2018 where he got adept Freddy on old Haddonfield.
Didnt see me much because I was fairly new at the time and prefered stealth, so once he did find me I lasted as long as a juicy fruit.
