Don‘t forget your password after making a new account just for one thing XD. Happened a lot to me.
I wish you luck with question.
They probably alredy know me as "that one guy that keeps bugging about shanoa and simon". As ive tried asking in every possible way except reddit, all year long lol (and seem to be the only one trying) amd i just write passwords down in an unmarked book lol
-
Im gonna make a reddit account just to ask for Shanoa and Simon Belmont legendary skins (and the return of the castlevania rift cosmetics for people who missed out)

While we don't have any to share, add-on passes are certainly considered where appropriate. If there are any Killers you feel would benefit from this (and if so, don't hesitate to let me know why you think this), I'd be more than happy to note this down as feedback for the team!
Definitely draculas Iri addons. 1 nerfs his power and gives noticeably nothing in return, the other takes up an entire addon alot for the entire round not being in use the whole time, and the 2 seconds it can do something, 9/10 times people just run through it like a funny light show and even if they go down from it, if you arent there by the door when it happens, there is 0 value still as they just crawl out.
Also draculas purple Cube of Zoe. I can't even count the amount of draculas ive witnessed try to get value out of the addon, only to never get more than 1 hit out of it in an entire round. Perhaps making the pillars spawn around all generators once one is completed would boost its lethality as it is currently not very usefull in chase around the killer.
-
First i tried was probably wraith since i started during the first year. First i really liked was sadako until they turned her into a spammer. First i became a dedicated main to was Xenomorph being a huge fan of Aliens and Predator since i was a 90s kid (but id say avp is probably my favorite franchise out of all things).

Not everything can be replied to, but everything is seen. Our Community team is very active on all of our platforms. Let's please not throw the team under the bus. Not every question is answerable!
Any chance the castlevania rift cosmetics might come back someday? (With hopefully a Shanoa legendary skin for Trevor Belmont 🥲) you dont have to reply, i just want the team to know there is still interest in those characters

Dracula. I know he's powerful and everything, but I just struggle with him so hard, which is weird. I've never really struggled that hard with a killer I was determined to learn, but I hit a wall with Dracula.
Bubba. His power is so punishing if you mess up.
I got him to p100, i find its easier to focus around 1 of his 2 attack forms and save the other for a "backup plan" until the main form is ready for use again.
Like i make 1 build entirely for hellfire cooldown and another build entirely for wolf form the entire round, using hellfire only when someones about to make it to a pallet before me etc. I just use bat form as a mobility thing, not to cut people off but just reach other floors, farther generators.
And im not sure if youve played pyramid head, but you have pre-emptively aim hellfire like you were pyramid head
-
- Predator
T1000 terminator2
The Leprechaun
Pennywise
The Rabbit (Monty Python)
The Primogen (Turok 2)
Gremlins
2. Critters
Velociraptor from either Jurassic park or Dino crisis
4. Lady D (resident evil village)
5. The Beholder (Dungeons & Dragons)
Carmilla (Castlevania)
Screamers
3. The thing
Violator (Spawn)

What are some things they could do to those maps to start fixing them?
-
Sadly i mained xeno and can confirm, after a certain mmr level you are just playing against swat teams that make multi turret safezones, and then somehow you feel like you run slower than scratch mirror myers when trying to catch people before they reach the next window etc. I keep trying anyway out of love for the aliens franchise, wouldnt mind a full rework.
I cant stand playing as killers that people generally hate to play against, as i play allot of survivor too. So i really have to be in the mood to play as plague, ghoul, doctor, legion, wesker etc.
I like how springtrap plays, but im so used to play against constant "Tunnel Bunnies" that i don't want to give off that impression by playing him either.
I generally avoid blight and nurse mainly because of how unfair they feel to use, and ive p100ed Ghoul out of love for Rize from the anime, but i cant bring myself to play her until shes fixed to a point where people arent miserable as soon as the round starts. I also avoid wesker for the same reason as springtrap, hes been extremely tunnely since his ptb, and using your power feels very personal against that player when you couldve just hit them with the knife easy.
Artist / pinhead / pyramid head are all killers i can either win very quickly with but i hesitate to play them as they are easy to lose with as well.
The ones i do end up playing most are Dracula (100), skull merchant, unknown (which ive gotten gradually better at landing even crazy shots), huntress, and everyone else on the roster occasinally including twins.

About Dracula, totally right.
His iri Vlad Ring definetly adds "some" tracking into his Hellfire, but at the end most of the time it doesn't seem to help you to hit if you were going to initially miss. And you are also losing one pillar. Honestly, you could remove that nerf and the addon would still need some buffs because the tracking is mostly negligible.
And his iri Alucard Shield seems like it could be the "troll" brown addon? I have even tried to build a bit around it with perks like Terminus so if they try to leave while wounded they can go down, and sometimes it works and other times they can just run in a straight line and not get hit by anything. Again this could be a brown addon and we could have another completely new iri.
Yea you know an addon is bad when the survivors run through it like its just some exit light show and they say "haha i love that addon" while your intention was to kill them with it lol
-
You can use his whip to hit people as they drop pallets/ vault windows or pallets, and in tight walled loops. His whip also can be "dragged" sideways as it hits, allowing it to cover a slightly larger space if you missed. It can be used to hit people over small obstacles as well, but they can duck down to avoid it with the right timing.
Also pay attention to zombies as they sometimes tell you where survivors are located by having their arms stretched out moving towards them, if they are stuck somewhere, whip them. You can also level up the whip by hitting the zombies, then just use it to break pallets if you are having trouble hitting the survivors with it.
But also to answer the question directly, there is no refunding characters. Probably because people would buy characters, prestige them to get their perks, then refund, and they would get less sales for characters that are only wanted for their perks. And if u got any cosmetics, itd be a hastle to auto refund those as well.
-
I've found the universal dislike of this killer's power isnt from the fact that its anime, or that he has mobility, or that he has hitscan thats very difficult to avoid. Its what hes capable of in the hands of someone who just wants to win as fast as possible by any means necessary. Which is probably why you see him so often. If you aren't following the "survivor rulebook" he is much more efficient at tunneling straight off the hook, at slugging the entire team, and proxy camping, than many of the killer roster, and is almost always used for those things. He can be looped, killers you have to be comfortable playing injured most of the match alredy exist, and he can still lose, but he is built to be the most annoying mosquito constantly buzzing around you till you are dead. The most effective means seems to be countering all his long range aura reading and screaming perks with stealth, and using every loop to its fullest dropping pallets only when its going to get a stun.
I have him to p100 because im a big fan of Rize from the anime, years before it came to the game. But i have over 1100 cakes on her because i can't bring myself to play her in this state where you are just making everyone you play with miserable by default. I Do hope for a rework.
-
I would love to see a Turok chapter. (Not sure how native americans feel about that franchise).
-
The fox form part of it sounds allot like draculas current wolf form, what would be different about her fox forms attacks?
-
Things like that are a double edged sword. Previously buckle up and for the people was a combo survivors could use to pick you up instantly after you got knocked down, and then both people could run away with endurance. This^ would prettymuch add that again. And swf teams abuse stuff like that to an extreme. It sucks being on the recieving end in a group of random teammates sure, but for now all you can do if you are experiencing it allot, bring the perks to make it easier.
They were about to test basekit unbreakable in the chaos shuffle and canceled it because it was alredy too exploitable from their own testing. So who knows what the anti slug update is going to end up being now.
-
Sadako id love to see change again so she isnt "spammy"
Xeno could use a change as his counter and power are things that just flatout work too well or dont work at all lol no in between. With frustrations on both sides.
Nemi still needs his addons changed as they are mostly just like pyramid heads currently are until the change.
Trapper could also use some addon changes and basekit buffs
Draculas iri addons need reworks. They are both worthless compared to even browns

Gave my usual ask for Shanoa and Simon Belmont legendary skins, and for the avoidance of cosplays before the characters alredy exist as atleast legendaries
As an example of why i really look forword to these surveys giving you a little box to put what you want the devs to hear and maybe even listen to.
Imagine this scenario where you are a huge fan of the walking dead. Then your favorite characters in the whole series are Maggie and Glen. The ptb just came out and you saw that Rick / Michone / Daryl were added, so Glen and Maggie didnt make it as the main characters, so you hold onto hope that upon chapter release with more cosmetics they might add them as legendaries.
Chapter comes out, and Michone ends up with a COSPLAY of Maggie (yea…) that you also have to pay for. And then they announce the next rift coming up will be walking dead themed where they also have Glen as a COSPLAY for Dwight.
So there goes your hopes of ever getting those characters in the game because everytime you try to make a post or comment asking for them as legendaries someday, the only response you get is "but maggie is alredy in the game?" Or "dwight has a skin for glen alredy" at which point your eye just starts twitching lol. (This all in reference to simon belmont and shanoa from the castlevania chapter)
So i look forword to these little boxes to talk to the devs as its the only chance to tell them how you feel and there might even be a chance they do look at it and consider the idea. Aside from that i do just answer the questions truthfully.
-
Gave my usual ask for Shanoa and Simon Belmont legendary skins, and for the avoidance of cosplays before the characters alredy exist as atleast legendaries
-
Just like knock out, its intended use was to avoid flashlight/pallet saves. But again turned into a 4 man slug perk lol
-
I always end up with the killers with wallhacks, that disguise their build to have aura reading but knowing their activation conditions didn't go off gives it away everytime lol. Sometimes they don't even bother to bring aura reading but come right to you from across the map while you were behind something without leaving scratch marks anywhere. Even the reports end up turning up possitive most of the time.
Ive only seen survivor hackers maybe 3 times. One while i was killer, they brought an infinite flashlight, that blinds at double speed, from any angle even behind, they also teleport next to you everytime you press the button to pickup. They were unhittable while opening the doors and teleport to the exit line after the door opens lol the other survivors were just like "meh, guess we win" and walked out lol
-
When xeno came out i mustve overplayed it and kept winning as my mmr with them skyrocketed, and has not gone down since. So whenever i play xeno i get the same kinda groups you mention 90% of the rounds (which those kindsa teams sure love turret stacking).
So i barely play xeno nowadays. What i do tho is play any other killer on the roster and you get more commonly casual rounds, due to them having individual mmrs. Still not exempt from occasional swat teams but it does feel generaly smoother when u don't play your dedicated mains. By the time you go back to your main u might get a casual round with them as well.
another thing is during events, swf swat teams love the base normal game que over whatever event / modifier is going on. So all the casual players are mostly in the event que for casual rounds n points and quests n stuff, while the swat teams and bully squads overpopulate the base game que. I tried dracula in regular que during 2v8, i had a full swat team with legacy skins that took me half the round to down one, only to get triple flashbanged lol. So i suggest sticking to the event que.
-
The self care + botony does still take a while to finnish healing, if they added up itd feel as fast as strength in shadows, which also gets buffed by botony
-
I play every killer on the roster often. But my p100s that i play more often are
Xenomorph (big fan of the movies/games/comics)
Dracula (big fan of castlevania, ive played through allllll the games, like over 25)
Skull merchant (because Hot Dayum!)
Ghoul (specificly Rize as she was my favorite character in the anime, even if she was barely in it lol)
-
Since we know it won't be outfits, im hoping for atleast a badge or something that people can see which character you got the p100 on. But if their reason is time and money and licensing issues, i have no idea what their idea of a prestige "reward" could be as they've alredy canceled everything out that we could've wanted.
-
In old dbd i didnt care if i got tunneled, you died so much faster back then that it was like hide n seek, if you get caught, your most likely alredy dead because they can camp you through your 1 hook stage. If someone came to get you off the hook you go right back down and be able to join the next round easily. Didnt feel so personal where the killer now actively goes out of their way to take allllll 3 or 4 of your extra chances away before even touching anyone else. Moris used to be an oh crap hard mode setting where the killer can end people faster. Now its like why would u bring one of those instead of 100% more points?
-
I recall getting it from the amazon prime rewards lol. They still havent released the artist's amazon prime outfits either
-
About 60%/40% survivor/killer. The que times for killer have been pretty long since kaneki and then 2v8 and now springtrap, so survivors the "quickplay" for now with extra points
-
If ur in an indoor map hes able to be beaten with stealth. But outdoor maps (prettymuch 90% of the maps) good luck trying not to get mowed down immediately for unhooking with make your choice, or being unhooked, or being on a generator when someone gets hooked, or even just breathing lol
-
Ive turned games around and managed to kill all 4 even when they were all twerking at the gate, depends on the killer sure. But the end game collapse is meant to be in the killer's favour where even 1 mistake can get someone killed, or even all of them killed. I don't think survivors sitting at the gates is capable of waranting the killer hard shutting the trial down. If anything ive never seen the problem with it, they wait for you at the gate, i wait on the other side of the map looking at stuff on my phone or breaking pallets n doors etc. Round ends eventually and doesnt take that long. Sometimes they even die by accident from the timer or they grief eachother by boddy blocking eachother to death etc. The only time youd ever have to be mad about them taking longer to leave is if you are in a hurry to be somewhere or have to leave to go eat or something, in which case u can also just let the game sit there as you are not being relied on by teammates.
-
The problem with balancing in this game is the fact that most other online games, the players have 2 mindsets. The ones that play to win at all times, and the ones that play to have fun. but dbd has players from 6 different mindsets.
1: the killers who just play to win at all costs using anything and everything they can to win everytime.
2: the killers who play casually and just enjoy jumping on their favorite killer and playing as them, just collecting bloodpoints weather they win or lose, and avoid things they know annoy other players. And are often the ones that end up farming with the survivors.
3: the killers who play this game to annoy others as that is their form of entertainment, they are the ones that loved the old knockout and would use it to slug the whole team, they hit you on hooks, shake their heads everytime you go down, and tunnel whoever seems the easiest - for fun.
4: the survivors who play to win at all costs, gathering a group of friends on discord for an esports level swat team to use and abuse everything they can to winas fast as possible.
5: the survivors that just casualy log into the game to play some rounds and get some bloodpoints and just generally play for fun.
6: the survivors that play to annoy the killer by gathering a group of likeminded players and using and abusing "bully" tactics to either annoy the killer till he leaves or keep him so busy that someone else on the side finnishes all the generators.
Now try to mash all 6 of those into the same game and u get the chaos of dbd where no matter what changr gets made, some of those groups don't agree with it.
These particular changes sound decent to the casual survivors/killers so long as it prevents tunneling etc. But to the competitive survivors they see this as a huge nerf as they know the competitive killers will abuse this as a strategy to hook everyone once, then slug all 4 players while the gens are too slow to do. Meanwhile the survivor bullies would see it as a buff and the bully killers would see it as a huge nerf to their playstyle etc.
Tough to put something in that isnt exploitable and makes 6 types of players happy lol
-
Well this event for cakes is once per year, chaos shuffle seems like once a month lol im fine with it being extended to get as many cakes as possible for the year since my p100s got extremely nerfed for cake collecting. (Some characters alredy have a lifetime supply of over 1000 lol)
-
As someone with about 6 p100s, i can admit the game goes uphill and downhill all the time, the last big downhill for most players was skull merchant chapter, i personally really liked her but it was the first universally hated killer among the whole community. After several changes and a nuke nerf, shes not so hated anymore but the next big downhill hit with kaneki, and it was much worse as hes 10x more popular and twice as strong. The go next prevention and anti hiding stuff i barely noticed compared to all the tunnel bunnies lol but im sure the game will go back uphill at somepoint. Maybe the new anti tunnel/slug mechanics will give killers better incentives and bonuses for not using those tactics allowing for more fun on both sides, but thats wishful thinking
-
I wouldnt mind them if they weren't all tunnel bunnies. Like even huntress could snipe you at the hook from afar but barely ever does. Tunnel bunny will always wait in the door nearby and start right away with axe+grab right off the hook. Its not much different than kaneki zooming over in 1.3 seconds and putting you back down before you can enjoy the feeling of standing again. Same thing seemed to happen with weskers launch, any killer that can get back to a hook quickly seems to attract tunnelers in bulk.
Aside from that hes decent to play as, and seems strong if u can aim, easy to loop if you cant aim.
-
Add: Shanoa and Simon Belmont as legendary skins, as well as making sure a character comes in as a legendary atleast before making a cosplay of them as it just makes people unhappy they lost the chance at their favorite characters and now have to play someone else dressed up as them.
Remove: the censorship of weather or not a character is allowed to have sexy cosmetics or not. Its getting confusing when 1-2 characters habe jiggle physics and 1/2 the characters have shorts under skirts while the others have underwear, when some killers are practicly naked and yet they "tone down" stuff like huntresses new outfit etc, and the backpacks added to half the swimsuits to avoid showing too much back skin or making sure all female survivors with a swimsuit must have some kind of shorts or long skirt lol

People already adapted to the doors cues and prerun accordingly, no player that has more than 50 hours will give you free hits anymore.
Im not saying go to the door the survivor is at, im saying use the doors to get undetectable, then come at them without a terror radius from an angle they can't see, by the time they start running from the stomping sound you are alredy close enough to hit them with the axe. And since they are often focused on the door number you can get close more often
-
I once had a thing where the game wouldnt sync my save on steam, so id verify integrity of the game cache (kinda checks and reinstalls anything thats corrupt or missing) and then the game would get another type of error after it reinstalled something. I would then restart the computer, click play again and itl finally work. Would happen like every 4th time i tried to start the game.
I know this isnt your same issue, but how i got it fixed was i reported it in the bug report section in this forum with as much detail as possible with screen shots (print screen key). Within the next patch it worked fine since.
If its on xbox i think they said everyones getting an error and they are trying to fix it
-
Stakeout and tenacity. 1 increases the amount of points you gain automaticly while also being a terror radius detector, and makes things go slightly faster. The other makes most slugging situations funny when you manage to slip away where the killer has no idea where you went, and allows you to be picked up faster by the time someone does reach you. It also saves your life sometimes when the killer "slugs for 4k" and you manage to super snail your way to the other end of the map and find the hatch while they still think you are somewhere in that corner they slugged you lol

So id say the broken aspect is worth it for sables invocation as its like bringing 8 brand new parts, for the price of the person having to be stealthy (and probly use an injured genrush build).
You don't get the benefit from three of those though, and they can't stack like normal ones could. They're spread out, making them less impactful. The time it takes to undertake the ritual makes it flatly inefficient, as it's 60 seconds of work for 50 seconds of value. You're just wasting time and getting perma-broken on top.
Invocations just need to be scaled down, in both price and reward. High risk, high reward stuff is just a balancing nightmare and is never going to fly, either pissing off the killer players or ending up uselessly undertuned like they are now.
I do actually use them often as i have fun running broken builds. And sometimes even the killer is like "how were the gens flying that fast!? Oh.." in the end game chat. If you manage to stay out of sight and on objectives with sables invocation and other injured speed perks (for example hyperfocus / this is not happening / whatever that 9%faster speed while injured one is ) all with a toolbox and brand new part, that killer almost has to make sure you are constantly going down or the generators really do go pretty quick. Still not sure about tauries invocation tho its not nearly as worth the risk as sables.

That wasn't the case. You might have spotty memory. The hatch spawned at the start of the match, but it didn't show so long, as number of alive survivors were smaller or equal to number of completed generators (plus if you had last survivor, hatch always spawned/opened). Meaning if all survivors were alive, you needed to complete all 5 generators. If 1 died, you needed 4 gens, etc… Meaning you absolutely had to do generators (in old days of DBD, this could have been done super quickly with original BNPs where they actually completed generator right on the spot) to spawn the hatch.
But sure, it was waaay easier, because if someone brought key and the game wasn't going great for survivors, then they didn't need to complete the gens on shrinking depleted map, but instead they just escaped.
So sure it was very broken. But it was nowhere near as broken as you made it to be.
To the topic: I don't find that very healthy. All that it would do is, that killers will be kind of forced to slug for 4k, because sacrificing 3rd one without having 4th on the ground would basically almost guarantee escape (so the only killers that would not slug would be those, that want to let 4th escape).
I just recall getting the 4 man out through hatch achievement with a key. And i wasnt saying it was that bad, i was saying the idea of the hatch being visible since the start of the match would be that bad with todays perks/offerings/items
-
The hatch used to spawn closed back in the day at the start of the trial. Someone brings a key, everyone gets out without touching a generator. People would have no need to do generators anymore, jist 4 people bringing hatch offerings at shack and a key. No game to play.
-
So id say the broken aspect is worth it for sables invocation as its like bringing 8 brand new parts, for the price of the person having to be stealthy (and probly use an injured genrush build). Its like a survivor bringing a 1 use bomb against the killer that can't get rid of the effect once its used.
Meanwhile tauries invocation is like splashing water at the killers face while becoming exposed for the rest of the round as it barely does anything productive. Ive had 1 round where it helped some people loop the killer longer and escape but of course i was alredy dead for it .
Either way both invocations are like a super weapon the survivors can bring out that can't be reversed at the cost of one person being more vulnerable in chase. So it seems fair enough to me so far
-
I can alredy see it as a counter to aura perks like barbeque. Someone getting hooked while ur on a gen? Pop smoke and keep going, they wont read your aura across the map

You report such team mates for griefing and move on.
Alternatively you wait until you have 3 crows flying above you which should give you a no collision effect and run elsewhere.
If anything there's a high chance killer will come and do something about it too.
All 3 of these things did not prevent the survivor from being sandbagged to death by their teammates. Crows did not form - not enough time during end game collapse, killer avoided the exit gate the entire time and didnt even see what happened, i did report but that only goes so far and doesnt prevent similar things from happening again.
-
As i mentioned before, i opened the gate and ran out. They were somewhere behind me and about 5 seconds in te end game chat section i clicked spectate to see them alredy holding the other player in the corner right next to the exit line on the left side. My assumption is they got ahead of her, body blocked and kited her toward a wall and then surrounded her against the wall, pinning them to the corner. People arent exactly prepared for their teammates to suddenly gang up on them in the last second so all it takes is a bit of confusion to get herded towards a wall or corner.

Teabagging, clicking, hitting on hook and bming in dying state is in the game since start and people still feel offended. :D
Nothing here about being offended. Just a rare occurance that a duo of sandbaggers can perfom to get another player killed by the end game collapse.
-
@Gandor said:
There's easier solution. Just leave. If the survivor wasn't going to stay there (to T-bag or w/e else he was thinking), then the other 2 would not be able to block him in the corner.
If we are talking about killer bodyblocking exit gate at the very last seconds to claim win via EGC, then I consider that fair. Killer has already disadvantage in this state most of the time (via say heal tech). IMO this is 100% valid strategy from killer
They were trying to just leave. The other 2 survivors managed to pin the other player to the corner right after the gate opened and hold them there. And ive removed the part about the killer as you are right it would be exploitable as a way to juke through the killer once found. Its more about survivors trying to kill eachother.

I'm not telling you to git gud sorry I was just trying to help with a temp solution until they fix it nor trying to say your complaint isnt valid sorry.
I wouldn't use escape rates currently coz it's not accurate rn, abandons are counting as escapes it'll be evident in your times hooked. From my experience its like with regular huntress you can hear the lulluby sorta get lowder the closer she gets, but can't tell the direction. With the low tones of the were elk, you have no idea if he is right beside you or a quarter of the map away and often ends up right on top of you because you still think hes far. Also the volume of the humming often gets bugged to a point where it starts at like 5 meters lol

Okay and if you just bluntly buff cameras you'll end up giving survivors another extremely oppressive and effectively uncounterable tool against B tier killer.
He already struggles with countering door traversal because intercepting them requires more unrealistic timing than for dredge locker grab. You want him to also struggle vs cameras? RN your gameplan vs survs using cameras is to 1) ignore them 2) waste your power for the sake of the meme even though it's a massive net loss. That is almost acceptable because so far people dont understand when they need to reveal your aura in chase and otherwise it's not really doing a lot.
Im sorry that bad players are scared of interacting with cameras, they'll be scared anyway, but you can't just mindlessly buff cameras and not give already balanced and mediocre killer something in return.
If your compensation buff is a direct buff to his power then we'd have a situation that the killer is way stronger when survivors are not using cameras and they would be scared of using them anyway except now they are also tremendously punished for not using them which is magnitudes worse than offering people genuine high risk high reward interaction.
If your compensation buff is the ability for springtrap to interact and punish survivors for using stronger cameras then it won't come into play until survivors actually interact with cameras which will mean people who are scared of cameras just don't have to use them and those that aren't will be engaging into an actual interaction with the killer which is a healthy improvement.
I wasnt saying they should buff the cameras lol i was just stating the problem with making them more hazardous to use as they alredy barely get used, and that it would lower the chance of usage even more. Like if noone wanted to use turrets against alien because he can see turrets moving from across the map or something
