Do you think that removing it will decrease the amount POC are targeted by...unsavory members of the community?
The fact that the majority of PoC people I know see it as literal black face I don't see any reason to keep it than to appease some folk who want to fight some useless skin that is better off forgotten about.
It's crazy to me how you can have dozens and dozens of PoC telling you this is wrong and you still have to argue because you just don't understand.
What an embarrassment this community is.

If I were to hazard a guess, I would say it's the principle of not removing something that isn't really causing issues for the vast majority of players AND because removing it isn't going to actually help them in any way.
It would just be removing it because "they" said to remove it. Plus, I don't even think it actually counts, considering the literal definition of blackface.
The fact people are even arguing is ridiculous.
"This has caused me harm"
"Ok, but it doesn't cause ME harm therefore it is fine"
It's a stupid skin which would cause 0 harm for it to be removed, whereas with it still in the game it is still being used to target black people.

Are you one of the strange people who has ttv in their username?
I always bolt at the sight of that. Advertising public humiliation to me in a SWF lobby? I'll just go take more time waiting for a game, thanks...
Lmao, immediately insulting someone by calling them 'strange' for having TTV in their name, definitely the streamers that are the problem.

Up until recently VPNs only benefitted killers as the hits were based off their connection, survivors have had to put up for years with VPN'ing killers and now everyone has to put up with it because of the lack of security on dead by daylight, I'm sorry that this is frustrating but if survivors can put up with it for years with barely a thread every 6 months over it, you can put up with a few months of it causing EVERYONE issues.
-
The whole point is it only works 24m away from where it's activated, you can't be more than 24m in any direction or it won't work, that's why the perks states "radius" that's how radii work.

Could this increasingly widespread issue suggest another systemic problem alongside BHVR's other lapses at securing a proper gaming atmosphere?
"No. It's haterz. And--as we all know--haterz gunna hate."
😵
All I said is that people falling for the "I've never been banned" are gullible, the hacking is absolutely an issue but way to take what i said out of context to make it seem like I'm shilling for BHVR or that it's a lesser issue.
-
You guys are pretty easily bateable it would seem.
Hackers clearly hate bhvr and enjoy the community hating on them, what better way to do that than say they never get banned, I can assure you they are banned, but when the game is £2 and it makes people this angry why not do it every couple of weeks?

I said I'm happy they've done it but it should have been done years ago when survivors had the same issue.
I'm pointing out that the devs don't have a bias, they just do whatever.

I love pixel bush but this video was really dumb. All of the things he mentions are super niche scenarios that don't heavily affect gameplay. Most of what he says are things that have been in the game BEFORE the validation as well. (i.e demo shred, pig dash). Everything in this video is either bugs that have always been around or the bad feedback from attacks that missed anyways. Another note is that he never shows proof for more than 1 of these, yet rants about it anyways as if it were true.
He's also a twins main and something the twins have done upon release is ignore Dead Hard entirely when victor pounces, did he make a video on that as well or?

God loops: completely justified there was 0 counter as a regular M1 killer
Multiple pallets in a single jungle gym: If that was in the game now the killer would probably never get you
Old BNP: actually massively broken, what was it? 15 seconds gen was done? you really think this was fair?
Always fast vault a window no matter the angle: This was very broken, once again how would a killer ever get you now if this was still in
MoM: very badly designed perk, initial release had 0 counter to that free hit it was practically BT we have now
Instaheals: Do i really need to explain?
DS: New DS actually works if you are getting tunneled, if you are doing gen or healing you aren't being tunneled then are you?
Am I missing anything? All these "Nerfs" were simply stuff to make the game even somewhat remotely bearable, The game would be way more busted if none of these things were changed
and despite all these things, killers still 4Kd back then, so if all these things have been removed what's stopping you from getting 4Ks now? What perks have drastically made killer harder and survivors easier, are you really admitting defeat because of something like DH? lol.

As is hiding behind a generator.
Basically, don't use the counters to this perk (and many others) or I'll camp.
-
Killers have been camping with BBQ for years, just say you wanna camp and do it, killers constantly use the "Well if this is being used I'm going to camp" just do it and move on.
I hold M1 on gens because killers use PGTW, stop using gen regression perks and maybe I wouldn't do gens... lol.

Only the people who are greedy with it will be complaining about all the time they spend exhausted on the ground.
Assuming a survivor gets to get DH off 3x per match, and a Killer on average deals with multiple DH users (so plays around DH 6x on average), I think it should be consistent for the Killer. Dead Hard was already annoying because every time you chase someone you have to do the obligatory 2-3 second wait for them to use it, now you also have to gauge their ping as well it seems?
Survivor uses DH early: THEY'RE USING IT FOR DISTANCE HOW DARE THEY
Survivors use DH to avoid a hit but end up exhausted on the ground: well they were just too greedy with it
Survivors are bad no matter what on this forum

- This is why the first rule of thumb is video and not screenshots as it does more to show us how the game really went.
- Know when to hold them and when to fold them. Rescuing against Bubba is suicide and sometimes sacrifices must be made.
- Before anyone tries to call me a killer sympathizer look at the situation with logic and explain if the killer would have been able to even get a kill otherwise.
- Are we stating that camping at any level or time is bad? What about EGC when there is literally nothing else to do and a great way to get more points from hits or potential trades?
- If you state that even at EGC that camping is bad then why stay and reward the killer with more points instead of just getting out and leaving them with their one kill?
Lol y'all killers are so funny, I actually think camping is fine especially at end game but someone makes a joke and killers immediately just have to start defending why someone would camp, actually funny imo that you need to justify it so badly.
And yea videos would have been cool but I don't go into games expecting camps and because I think camping is fine I usually only screenshot because it's funny.
Good job guys you got tilted by some screenshots and went into defence mode 🤠🥰
-
You don't "have" to find them at all, if you're chasing someone it is unlikely they'll be able to use the boon to heal, they aren't map wide so can't be used whenever.

Yes your team stomped the killer to the point they had to camp in games 1/3 to stand a chance as they only had 3 hooks by the last generator.
For game 2 YOU could have been the cause of the camp by sneaking near the hook.
I don't see the point in this as every single last one is justified other then you gloating about winning hard enough to force a camp.
Of course man, killers never just play like this, it must be the survivors fault, it's so boring when you post screenshots of something and killers just have to argue that it's the survivors fault, killer never saw me and was camping before i was even in that position but of course you gotta make up your stories to justify.

ds on a new character because it's what i was given on the bloodweb, my mistake for not putting on level 1 technician.

You clearly haven't read the post this isn't a "Us vs Them" issue its a console issue.
Ps. The OP has been one of the main people trying to raise awareness of how bad consoles are getting and Killer was just their best example of how bad its gotten for consoles.
Console was never mentioned in the original post. I do apologies for not reading every OPs extensive comment history to try and decipher what their post may actually means.
and I'm more-so pointing out the ridiculousness of blaming "not enough of x" as a reason for long lobby times when I think we all know survivors aren't leaving in droves.
-
Oh well - a few months ago when survivor queues were bad killers just said it's because all the killers are leaving because killer isn't fun and too hard, now the shoe is on the other foot I guess that just means all the survivors are leaving because it isn't fun or too hard.

I've never had killers grief event gens either but i know people that have.

How what’s wrong? What can they do
Some killers will just camp event gens so there's one less you can do, to be fair devs did make it so you can't sabo event hooks so I don't see why they couldn't hide event gens from killers.

First off thanks for assuming the worst of me. I appreciate that.
Secondly, DBD is not the only game I play. I have to type in my password to change those settings, which is a big inconvenience to have to change my settings everytime I decide to play DBD.
Finally, even if I were to change my settings to that, as of about a year ago, you could add someone as a friend and message them to get around that.
ehh i just tested this a bunch with the setting to friends and it didn't matter how many times I sent messages or requests to the account that I had friended nothing ever came through, at all.

Are you sure I am the one who doesn't understand?
You are mixing terms mine with transaction.
It does take ######### tons of energy to mine bitcoin, but transaction is just peer to peer with blockchain.
how are you struggling to read transaction at the bottom of this?
-
@Dino7281 said:
https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/2571396#Comment_2571396
And where did you take that BS number?
It doesn't make sense. Bit coin transfer is peer to peer.
"online receipt to say you own a copy of the thing"
Oh, right. Like game accounts and skins etc., where you don't really own it on most systems, League of legends for example, where selling your account is illegal practice. You just got access to it, but don't own it.
Steam is little different, you can trade content (skins etc.), but you can't get your money actually back, you can only trade for different things.
You clearly don't understand crypto currency at all, when a transaction is made, thousands upon thousands of computers are used to "mine" and verify the transaction, if you're going to argue for something you could at least know the first thing about it.
And yes, steam is similar etc, but I'm not using bitcoins that hundreds of thousands of machines around the world used to generate 0.0000000000000000001 cent for me to spend, it's so embarrassing seeing people defend bhvr on something they know absolutely nothing about.
PLEASE EDUCATE YOURSELF
"As of mid-July, a single bitcoin transaction required 1719.51 kilowatt hours (kWh) - where a kWh is the amount of energy a 1,000-watt appliance uses in over an hour. To put that in perspective, that is about 59 days’ worth of power consumed by an average U.S. household."

I don't get why does it make people upset. I couldn't care less.
Everyone that does is just hypocrit imo. Using systems that take a lot of energy, but cry about this one, just because they don't own any crypto currency.
Sending one bit coin payment is the equivalent of 1.9million separate visa transactions
People aren't hypocrites, they're using the easiest the least impactful thing possible to send money around the world, crypto currencies are ridiculously inefficient, especially for something like NFTs which doesn't actually mean you own something, it's just an online receipt to say you own a copy of the thing, it's ridiculous.

This is wrong. The NFT was made prior to the DLCs launch.
Please show me the announcement of the NFT before the DLC was sold, it may have been "made" prior to the DLCs launch, but even some BHVR staff that work on Dead By Daylight had no idea this NFT was a thing, let a long the players buying the DLC.

Sure... for those who already bought the DLC, there's no going back.
But I mean, if people are not happy about the whole NFT thing, then they have the option to not buy it after learning that Hellraiser was made from one.
I meant to ask... are you willing to ask for a refund if possible?
Yea, I would love a refund, actually.
I'll never play Pinhead again despite owning him.
-
???
They sold the DLC based on the NFT before they ever announced that there was an NFT involved, the majority of people that would buy DLC have already bought in and now unfortunately help funded an NFT.
Had I know before the DLC was released that NFTs were involved I'd have never ordered it, but of course they announced it a solid month and a half after releasing it.

They will never care about what the players say (begging for fixes) or do (hacking the game). BHVR's metaphorical eyes are so full of green they will lie to everybody to secure it. NFT's are ######### stupid alright, no ifs ands or buts. VALVe has said they would BAN ANY game associated with these and for good reason. ITS A SCAM BRO. You get a link to a 3-D model of a cat smoking a cigarette for $3,000 so some other equally dumb person will compete for it. I been feeling it for a few months but like this looks like the end you guys. Game is not doing so hot rn. I never came in here to preach. I came in here to rant lol. I never claimed to be on a moral high horse here. If you get camped by me, you should brush it off the same why I should brush off t-bagging. As I said before and you don't seem to understand, I wasn't playing toxic before and in 10 games I saw 40 t-baggers. I'll gladly encourage it now because I don't care about the game health or other people's fun anymore, so I will adjust my playstyle accordingly. I simply don't care anymore. Understand?
Not being able to see a difference between t-bagging (0 impact on gameplay btw) and literally making sure someone can't play the game (face camping & tunneling) is pretty on par for forum killers.

"Expect a lot more tunneling and camping from killers..:" is basically the one sentence which is brought up whenever anything for Survivors is released (despite how bad it is) or when something on the Killers side is nerfed.
At this point I believe that it is some threat which Killer Mains want to bring in hope that the Devs change their mind.
As if this isn't what happens anyway, killers just want an excuse to do something more often that they're already doing in almost every game.

Every Single Game Mentions Third-Party Software in Their ToS, it would be absolutely ridiculous for a company to name everything they "authorise", your keyboard software, your mouse software, all third party, but are required to make your hardware work, they all interact with the game, and by definition of the genius' in this thread and on this forum should all be bannable as they aren't "authorised".
It's embarrassing this needs to be said.
-
I hope for Linux users they enable it, would be nice to get it mentioned to the developers if possible @MandyTalk
I know tagging is against the rules or whatever but an extra group of players having easy access to dbd would be phenomenal.
-
The time is takes to bless a totem is the same as it is to cleanse a hex, therefore they could have just destroyed your hex anyway which is a moot point, secondly I'm sure they've said subtly multiple times now that it's 'around the totem' so this implies that the boon will be an AOE, so if survivors are running across the map to get a minor benefit like faster healing or whatever in range of a totem then it really doesn't matter because that a lot of time wasted.
Making a bunch of fuss over something that isn't likely to be all that good.
-
@HealsBadMan said:

Of course, because Boons being the opposite of Hexes they have to be much stronger/reusable. Lets also not forget about the new 32m 4.4m/s Killer or murdering Spirit more brutally than her father did.
Boons don't just destroy the totem, it straight up turns it into strong buffs. Killers cant choose where their Hexes spawn, nor can they be reactivated (on the same Totem even). I'm all for necessary buffs/nerfs but this is ridiculous. Boons need to be much weaker than everyone's expecting for this to be warranted.
